"Uncle Sam's Plantation"

“Uncle Sam’s Plantation”
In pursuit of the truth – cinops – Tuesday, March 31, 2009

This book was written six years ago by Star Parker, a syndicated Columnist. She had lived within the welfare state and experienced her own transformation out of it. Her comments today are very insightful as her article dated 2/9/2009. It may help us understand President Obama’s Stimulus Plan.

I said in that book that indeed there are two Americas – a poor America on socialism, and a wealthy America on capitalism. I talked about government programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Training (JOBS), Emergency Assistance to Needy Families (EANF), Section 8 Housing and Food Stamps.

A vast sea of perhaps well-intentioned government programs, all initially set into motion in the 1960’s, that were going to lift the nation’s poor out of poverty. A benevolent Uncle Sam welcomed mostly poor black families onto the government plantation. THOSE WHO ACCEPTED THE INVITATION SWITCHED MIND-SETS FROM “HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MYSELF” TO “WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO STAY ON THE PLANTATION?

Instead of solving economic problems, government welfare socialism created monstrous moral and spiritual problems – the kind of problems that are inevitable when individuals turn responsibility for their lives over to others.

The legacy of American socialism is our blighted inner cities, dysfunctional inner city schools, and broken black families. Through God’s grace, I found my way out. It was then that I understood WHAT FREEDOM MEANT AND HOW GREAT OUR COUNTRY IS.

1.)I had the privilege of working on welfare reform in 1996, passed by a Republican Congress…. I thought we were on the road to moving socialism out of our poor black communities and replacing it with wealth-producing American capitalism. BUT INCREDIBLY, WE ARE GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION….

2.)Uncle Sam has welcomed our banks onto the plantation and they have said. “Thank you Suh.” Now instead of thinking what CREATIVE THINGS need to be done to serve customers … THEY ARE THINKING OF WHAT THEY HAVE TO TELL MASSAH IN ORDER TO GET THEIR CASH…

3.)Worse, socialism seems to be the element of our new young president. And maybe even more troubling, our corporate executives seem happy to move onto the plantation.

4.)This plan (Obama) is more than a prescription for short-term spending – it’s a strategy for America’s long term growth and opportunity in areas such as renewable energy, healthcare and education…

5.) Obama seems to think that government taking over an economy is a new idea. Yes, we heard it from JIMMY CARTER WHEN HE CREATED THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY, SYNFUELS CORP0RATION AND THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

6.)Or how about the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 – THE WAR ON POVERTY … TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS LATER, BLACK POVERTY IS THE SAME…. WITH TRIPLE THE INCIDENCE OF SINGLE-PARENT HOMES AND OUT OF WEDLOCK BIRTHS.

AMERICANS CAN ACCEPT C.O.(Community Organizer)BARACK OBAMA’S INVITATION TO MOVE ONTO THE PLANTATION. OR THEY CAN CHOOSE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND FREEDOM.

That Deadly Silence - The Devil in California

THAT DEADLY SILENCE – THE DEVIL IN CALIFORNIA
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Sunday, March 29, 2009

The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who remain neutral or silent during a moral crisis.

The following by Senator Ron Calderon (D – Montebello) is an unbelievable SITUATION. It makes me angry. Talking points from info@LifePriority.net 3/26/09
Religious liberty and freedom of conscience have been building blocks of our society since its founding. We respect conscientious objection for those opposed to war, physicians opposed to taking part in capital punishment, and others who object to involvement in the taking of life. We can do no less in the context of abortion.

Conscience protection does not threaten access to health care. Allowing health care providers to serve the public without violating their consciences protects and enhances access to health care, by ensuring continued participation by some of our most dedicated health professionals. Catholic and other faith-based providers called to serve the poorest and most vulnerable, from the inner city to remote rural areas –if they are driven away, who will replace them.

Abortion, in particular, cannot be seen as a “standard” health care. Most physicians, nurses and hospitals choose not to provide abortion, and the Hippocratic Oath that established medicine as a profession has rejected abortion for many centuries. Forcing health care professionals to be involved in abortion against their will shows a distorted sense of priorities – one that will irreparably damage the healing professions and undermine efforts to work together for health care reform.

SITUATION:
Sacramento- SB 374, Health Care Providers: reasonable disclosure: reproductive choices by Senator Ron Calderon further enmeshes the medical profession in abortion. SB 374 is the Senate version of AB 120 and will be heard in the Senate Business, Professional, and Economic Development Committee on April 13. It would deny doctors, nurses, and medical assistants the right of refusing involvement with abortions on moral or religious grounds. Under threat of suspending their license, SB 374 would force these medical professionals to refer a patient to licensees who provide information on obtaining abortions. It attacks 2000 years of medical practice based on “DO NO HARM.”…

The above is like Orwell’s 1984 or the totalitarian Nazis and communists. There must be somewhere out there leaders who can organize the public in some kind of civil disobedience. Senator Calderon is a barbarian. The arrogance for Democratic leaders to come up with these ideas. Republicans oppose this bill.

Fran is Orange County’s little Giant dedicated to protecting the unborn particularly when they show up in their mother’s womb at the abortion sites.

She is coordinator of Msgr. Reilly’s “Helpers of God’s Precious Infants.”

She is the one that persuaded members of many parishes to have a pro-life Mass at their church on a Saturday morning and then follow immediately to a prayer vigil at an abortion mill nearest to the Church. She was persistent. Her work closed at least one abortion facility in Orange County.

We honor her.* She is moving with her husband to Pennsylvania.

I have a meditation for Fran from Pope Benedict XVI, and a most appropriate Saint to be: Blessed Margaret of Castello O.P.
Our Father

Father – with this word I express my certainty that someone is there who hears me, who never leaves me alone, who is always present. I express my certainty that God, despite the infinite difference between him and me, is such that I can speak to him, may even address him familiarly as “thou” {German du}

His greatness does not overwhelm me, does not reject me as insignificant and unimportant. Certainly I am subject to him as a child is subject to his father, yet there is a fundamental similarity and likeness between him and me, yes, I am so important to him, I belong so closely to him, that I can rightly address him as “Father”.

My being born is not a mistake, then, but a grace. It is good to live even though I do not always perceive it. I am wanted; not a child of chance or necessity, but choice and freedom. Therefore I shall always have a purpose in life; there will always be a meaning for me, a task designed just for me; there is a conception of me that I can seek and find and fulfill.

When the school of life becomes unbearably hard, when I would like to cry out as Job did, as the psalmist did – then I can transform this cry into the word “Father” and the cry will gradually become a word, a reminder to trust, because from the Father’s perspective it is clear that my distress, yes, my agony, is part of the greater love for which I give thanks. “Co-Workers of the Truth” Ignatius, 1992, March 28th entry.

Blessed Margaret of Castello, O.P.

Had she been conceived today, Margaret surely would have been a victim of abortion or left to die at birth…. and what a tragedy that would have been!!! A tragedy for Margaret … who would have been deprived of the opportunity to suffer for Christ and thereby achieve the heights of sanctity; a tragedy for the Church … who would have deprived of such an extraordinary daughter; for each of us…

Who, handicapped as we are by prejudice, by greed, by indifference, by cold-heartedness, or by whatever form it may take, would have been deprived of one with whom we can identify … of one who could truly show us that the only deformity abhorrent to God is the deformity of sin.

As an unwanted deformed child would she not be ‘the saint’ for our time … a special patron of the unborn, the handicapped, the disabled, the social outcasts … the patron of the UNWANTED? Will you not join in a crusade for her canonization? She will never fail to help those who invoke her.

C.O. President Barack Obama - 2 of 2

C.O. President Barack Obama - 2 of 2
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Saturday, March 28, 2009

(On the Internet, The Phyllis Schlafly Report, February, 2009, V. 42, No. 7)

Will the Alinsky strategies that nominated and elected Barack Obama President of the United States be put on the back burner for four years, lying dormant until they are needed to reelect him in 1212? Not likely. Those strategies are available right now to push through the radical legislation and gigantic spending programs that he promised his followers.

The pro-Obama New York Times laid out the plan on its January 26 front page under the heading “Retooling a Grassroots Network to Serve a You Tube Presidency.” Obama’s staff has already started “transforming the Youtubing-Facebooking-Texting-Twittering grass-roots organization that put Mr. Obama in the White House into an instrument of government. That is something that Mr. Obama, who began his career as a community organizer, told aides was a top priority, even before he was elected.

President Obama’s staff has created a group, headquartered in the offices of the Democratic National Committee, called “Organizing for America.” Its mission is to “redirect the campaign machinery into the service of broad changes in health care, environment and fiscal policy. They envision an army of supporters talking, sending e-mail messages and texting to friends and neighbors as they try to mold public opinion.” Three days after Obama was sworn in as President, an announcement was sent to 13 million people.

The Obama team understands very well that traditional methods of communicating with voters are being replaced by new channels built around social networking. In the 2008 campaign, liberals dominated conservatives by more than 10 to 1 on the Internet, and the Obama campaign exploited that advantage fully and profitably. This massive Internet advantage enabled Obama and leftists to raise ten times more money than conservatives over the internet, and to create a climate of extreme bias in the media against conservative candidates. Sarah Palin was savaged on liberal blogs….

This 21st Century use of Internet technology and new-media communication was reflected in Obama’s truly incredible record of money-raising. HE RAISED NEARLY 750 MILLION for the presidential campaign. By contrast, in 2004, GEORGE W. BUSH AND SENATOR JOHN KERRY TOGETHER COLLECTED LESS THAN $650 MILLION. For the general election, Obama had more than 3 times what John McCain had at his disposal, …
Obama’s technology/Internet superiority continues. DailyKos.com, a liberal blog site, ranks 3,631 in daily traffic out of millions of internet websites. This is far higher, often by a factor of 100, than conservative sites. Many other liberal websites also outrank conservative sites, such as Moveon.org a website started a decade ago in defense of Clinton during his scandals.

Previous Presidents recorded and released a radio speech every Saturday morning, but Obama instead records a video speech, then posts it on the White House website and YouTube where it can be picked up and forwarded to millions of followers who weren’t listening on Saturday mornings…. It is virtually impossible for a candidate to win when he is outspent 10-to-1. It is essential that conservatives assert themselves on the Internet in order to regain competiveness in both ideas and money.

C.O. President Barack Obama # 1 of 2

C.O. President Barack Obama # 1 of 2
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Friday, March 27, 2009

“The Phyllis Schlafly Report”- Feb. 2009, Vol. 42, No. 7 is on the internet via Google. The following excerpts are from the title, “How a Community Organizer Became President.” follows: This is very, very insightful.

On August 31, 2008, right after the Democratic National Convention in Colorado, the Boston Globe published a letter from L.DAVID ALINSKY boasting about how Barack Obama had made enormously effective use of his training in the methods of DAVID’S LATE FATHER, THE FAMOUS CHICAGO RADICAL, SAUL D. ALINSKY.

DAVID ALINSKY gloated: “I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to SAUL ALINSKY as we approach his 100th birthday.”
Confirming that Obama was trained in Chicago by the Alinsky apparatus, David Alinsky wrote: “It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.”

Describing how the Democratic National Convention was a “perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style,”David Alinsky wrote: “All the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situations and hardships, the packed to – the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selection of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.”

Indeed the son has reason to boast that his father’s organization techniques were so effectively used by a longshot candidate to climb the path to America’s highest office. The most significant part of Barack Obama’s education was not at Colombia University or Harvard Law School, BUT THE YEARS HE SPENT BEING TRAINED IN THE SAUL ALINSKY SYSTEM OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND THEN PRACTICING WHAT HE LEARNED.

Obama was trained by the Alinsky organization called “Industrial Areas Foundation” (founded by Alinsky in 1940), after which Obama taught workshops on the Alinsky method. Obama learned how to put together a new style presidential campaign that decisively defeated the Clinton machine plus the Republican Party in a dramatic one-two punch never before seen in politics.

Alinsky’s organization was based in Chicago, nestled under the protective wing of the Democratic political machine, but his reach extended all over the country from New York to California. HILLARY CLINTON WROTE HER WELLESLEY THESIS ON ALINSKY, WHO THEN OFFERED HER A JOB (WHICH SHE TURNED DOWN TO ENROLL IN THE YALE LAW SCHOOL).

Americans who care about our nation and its future should study Saul Alinsky and what is known today as “the Alinsky ideology and Alinsky concepts of mass organization for power.” These were the lessons he taught his eager students….

Nat. Assoc. of Black Journalists: Commentary

Nat. Assoc. of Black Journalists: Commentary
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Thursday, March 26, 2009

The following is a poignant commentary on the article by Julia Duin in the Washington Times, Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 titled, “Deadly Silence on number of black abortions.” jduin@washingtontimes.com THIS COMMMENTARY is addressed to the National Association of Black Journalists.

This is about the conference the Black Journalist had on health disparities in Atlanta, Jan. 30-31st. The focus was to inform and enlighten journalists on the health issues plaguing Black Americans like their mental health, heart disease, breast cancer, strokes, HIV/AIDS, and childhood obesity. IT SEEMS THAT NO MENTION AT ALL WAS MADE OF ABORTION THAT KILLS ONE OUT THREE BLACK PREGNANCIES.

Seriously journalists, what kind of a world are you living in? If you can think of another example of mind control, a.k.a. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS THAT IS MORE VILE, EVIL AND DIABOLICAL than not talking about the health issues relating to the abortion of one out of three black babies; let me know.

Why are you glossing over and ignoring the following horrible facts: Blacks make up one-eight of the U.S. population. They have more than one-third (37 percent) of America’s 1.2 million abortions each year. With 45 million abortions between 1973 and 2005, you come up with 17 million dead aborted black babies. Abortion sites are PURPOSELY LOCATED IN MINORITY NEIGHBORHOOD. (DALE GARDNER, DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL BLACK PRO-LIFE UNION) THIS IS A KIND OF GENOCIDE OF BLACK AMERICANS AND YOU SEEM NOT TO CARE OR EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT.

Black Americans are culturally pro-life, MARRIAGE and FAMILY. THEY ARE CALLING ON YOU AND THE BLACK MEDIA FOR LEADERSHIP. SPEAK OUT!

I know that through your public education; you have been conditioned to ignore any information from the peasants of the pro-life movement. But let me tell you that the 37 million dead black babies would have been a lot higher by at least one or two million; if we had not been at the abortions mills throughout the country. And the reason you personally are alive today could be thanks to the prayer and the sidewalk counselors.

At two nearby abortion mills, cities of Orange and Long Beach, California, I have an abortion information sign which reads: ABORTION HURTS WOMEN. On the other side it will read: SHAME ON YOU WHIMPS! It is for the men who are bringing the ladies in for the abortion. It is also for anyone who does not speak out.
Respectfully yours,
George H. Kubeck

P.S. according to the Guttmacher Institute, the rate is 11 abortions per 1,000 white women, 28 for every 1,000 Hispanic women, and 50 for every 1,000 black women. Abortion is the country’s most common surgical procedure. 1 of 4 pregnancies is terminated this way. The women are mostly young, poor, single, and black or Hispanic. Yet there are millions of American couples who want to adopt children in America.

Commentary on Saul Alinsky - 1

Commentary on Saul Alinsky – 1
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Tuesday, March 24, 2009

What is the influence of Saul Alinsky on America? He died in 1972. I personally remember his destructive influence on the teaching profession in the 1960’s. How do we tackle Alinksy’s false ideas; and what influence do these ideas have on President Obama.

The truth is our most powerful weapon. We need the truth in order to get through the cob web of political correctness which dismisses common sense, reason and natural law. These are the principles of our Founding Fathers and they are what we believe in.

Political correctness is a cover and smoke screen of decades of promoting the spirit of the times in America. Talk about the spirit of the times; check out the dedication of Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals: a Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals Random House in 1971.

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – LUCIFER.”

Like the A.C.L.U., A.C.O.R.N. is an organization promoting a different America, a kind of secular socialist America like they have in Europe. Both organizations are working hard with the help of judicial activists to legalize same-sex marriage and change our national motto: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness to France’s Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. The mottos as stated by Dennis Prager are irreconcilable differences. As adherents of a traditional Judeo-Christian America we must fight and win. Start now; 2010.

I visited the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Honolulu. Three thoughts came to my mind.
Remember Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and the A.C.L.U. The first two were EXTERNAL SNEAK attacks on America. The INTERNAL SNEAK attack on America comes from the A.C.L.U. And now you can add Alinsky’s A.C.O.R.N.
THE PRICE OF LIBERTY IN AMERICA IS ETERNAL VIGILENCE.

The president came into the politics of Chicago and what did he enter? He entered a cesspool of corrupt politics with CINOP mayor Richard Daley as the head honcho. It’s pay as you play politics. It is where anything to the left of center in politics is OK. The left of center includes all kinds of radicals, communists, socialist, anarchists and even terrorists. They are OK. But try to run as a conservative or republican then you are just an outcast.

Talk about voter fraud and how to do it. Check out the mayor’s father who did it well in the presidential elections of 1960 and delivered Illinois to President John F. Kennedy. Today when you mix the ideas of Alinsky with the Bible you can come up with all kinds of preachers like Jeremiah Wright and Phleger.

We need as individual or groups to set aside Days of Remembrance, religious and political. For example, tomorrow, we have the Feast of the Annunciation and the Day of the Unborn Child. Mark you calendar for National Day of Pray, Thurs. May 7th, 2009, Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, Flag Day on June 14th , July 4th & Labor Day, Sept. 7th. Obama is a judgment on America and a challenge. We will meet that challenge.

Saul Alinsky - Community Organizer - #2of 2

Saul Alinsky – Community Organizer - # 2 of 2
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Saturday, March 21, 2009

Your Brief Two-Page Lesson Plan Discussion:
On Becoming a Community Organizer by Prostituting the Members of the Community for
Personal and Class Power via a Marxist Mentality

(The Phyllis Schlafly Report: Vol. 42, No. 7 – Feb. 2009 – “How a C.O. Became President”)

5.) In the Beginning: The organizer’s “biggest job is to give the people the feeling that they can do something.” The organizer’s job is “to build confidence and hope in the idea of organization and thus in the people themselves: to win victories, each of which will build confidence.” The organizer will learn that “Change comes from power, and power comes from organization.”
“The organizer’s first job is to create the issues or problems,” and “organizations must be based on many issues.” The organizer “must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversies and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned to act …. An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.” He can provoke class resentment by painting Wall Street as villains. {Today’s examples of AIG bonuses etc.}
The organizer “begins his ‘trouble making’ by stirring up these angers, frustrations, and resentments, and highlighting specific issues or grievances that heighten controversy.” “Organizations need action as individuals need oxygen. The cessation of action brings death to the organization.
At the same time, “The job of the organizer is to maneuver and bait the establishment so that it will publicly attack him as a “dangerous enemy.” Alinsky reminds his organizers that “To attempt to operate on a good-will rather than on a power basis would be to attempt something that the world has not yet experienced.”
Alinsky’s book is full of examples of issues and organizational victories from the decade of the 1960s (such as the Vietnam War, civil rights litigation, urban renewal, and campus riots) which are not meaningful to younger Americans today.

6.) Tactics: Alinsky reminds his trainees that power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” “Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions.” “Multiple issues mean constant action and life.” “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” “A mass impression can be lasting and intimidating.” “Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules and regulations.”

Alinsky describes some of his successful mass demonstrations.
1) Tying up all the restrooms at O’Hare Airport by having his demonstrators lock themselves in the toilet booths equipped with a book to read, and staying there all day. 2) Dropping wads of chewing gum all over the walks on a college campus.

7.) The Way Ahead: Alinsky laid out his plan to go after “America’s white middle class. That is where the power is.” They are the “Have-a-Little, Want Mores.” Alinksy boasts that, “With rare exceptions, our activists and radicals are products of and rebels against our middle-class society…. Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and way of life of the middle class.”

Commentary:
It may take a couple of days to digest in our minds this two-page lesson plan discussion. A.C.O.R.N. may receive 4 billion dollars from the government stimulus plan to be used in the 2010 election. It would be wise to start and think what needs to be done.

In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Friday, March 20, 2009

Your Brief Two-Page Lesson Plan Discussion:
On Becoming a Community Organizer by Prostituting the Members of the Community for PERSONAL and CLASS POWER via a Marxist Mentality

Saul Alinksy’s worldview was that the United States is an oppressive and racist society where most people (the Have-Nots) are the victims of economic injustice with a future of despair. He wanted a radical change of America’s social and economic structure, and he planned to achieve that through creating public discontent and moral confusion. His goal was not to arrive at compromise or peaceful solutions; his goal was CRUSH THE HAVES AND TRANSORM SOCIETY.

He wanted to move the United States from capitalism to socialism, where the means of production would be owned by all the people (i.e. government). A believer in economic determinism, he viewed unemployment, disease, crime and bigotry as byproducts of capitalism. So he called for massive change.
The following are excerpts from his book, Rules for Radicals” A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals (originally published by Random House in 1971).

1.) The Purpose: Mankind is divided into three parts: “the Haves, the Have-Nots, and the Have-a-Little, Want Mores.” His purpose is to teach the Have-Nots how to take power and money away from the Haves. “Change” is Alinsky’s favorite word, used on page after page. “I will argue,” he writes, that man’s hopes lie in the acceptance of the great law of change.”

Alinsky teaches the Have-Nots to “hate the establishment of the Halves” because they have power, money, food, security, and luxury. They suffocate in their surpluses while the Have-Nots starve.” He claims that “justice, morality, law, and order, are mere words used by the Halves to justify and secure their status quo. HE TEACHES THE HAVE-NOTS “HOW TO ORGANIZE FOR POWER: HOW TO GET IT AND TO USE IT.”

2.) Of Means and Ends: “You do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral arguments.” Phrase your goals in “general terms like ‘Liberty, Equality, Fraternity,” and ‘Of the Common Welfare.” At the same time, Alinsky admonishes his organizers that they are conducting WAR, so there are no rules of fair play and there can be no compromise.
Recognizing the importance of words, Alinsky demands that his organizers us the word “POWER,” which he calls a word of force, vigor and simplicity.

3.) The Education of an Organizer: The qualities Alinsky looked for in a good organizer were EGO (“reaching for the highest level for which man can reach – to create, to be a ‘great creator,’ to play God”), curiosity (raising “questions that agitate, that break through the accepted pattern”), irreverence (“nothing is sacred”; the organizer “detests dogma, defies any finite definition of morality”), imagination (“the fuel for the force that keeps an organizer organizing”).

4.) Communication: Alinsky teaches his organizers how to direct the thinking of his people while letting them think they are making their own decisions. The organizer should develop skills in the manipulative technique of asking “loaded question designed to elicit particular responses and to steer the organization’s decision-making process in the direction which the organizer prefers.” To be continued

All of the above are excerpts from another classic from The Phyllis Schlafly Report –Feb. 09 issue, titled “How a Community Organizer Became President.”

Deception at Core of Obama Plans by Charles Krauthammer (cont’d)

{The “day of reckoning” has now arrived. And because “it is only by understanding how we arrived at this moment that we’ll be able to lift ourselves out this predicament,” Obama has come to redeem us with his far-seeing program of universal, heavily nationalized health care; a cap-and-trade tax on energy; and a major federalization of education and universal access to college as the goal.

Amazing. As an explanation of our current economic difficulties, this is total fantasy. As a cure for rapidly growing joblessness, a massive destruction of wealth, a deepening worldwide recession, this is perhaps the greatest non sequitur ever foisted upon the American people.

At the very center of our economic near-depression is a credit bubble, a housing collapse and a systemic failure of the entire banking system. One can come up with a host of cause: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pushed by Washington (and greed) into improvident loans, corrupted bond-ratings agencies, insufficient regulation of new and exotic debt instruments, the easy money policy of Alan Greenspan’s Fed, irresponsible bankers pushing (and then unloading in packaged loan instruments) highly dubious mortgages, greedy house-flippers, deceitful homebuyers.

The list is long. But the list of causes of the collapse of the financial system does not include the absence of universal health care, let alone of computerized medical records. Nor the lack of college graduates. Indeed, one could perversely make the case that, if anything, the proliferation of overeducated and opaque mathematical models and debt instruments helped get us into this credit catastrophe in the real place.

And yet with our financial house on fire, Obama makes clear both in his speech and his budget that the essence of his presidency will be the transformation of health care, education and energy. Four months after winning the election, six weeks after his swearing in, Obama has yet to unveil a plan to deal with the banking crisis.

What’s going on? “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” said Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel. “This crisis provides the opportunity for to do things that you could not do before.”

Things. Now we know what we are. The markets’ recent precipitous decline is a section not to the absence of any plausible bank rescue plan, but also to the suspicion that Obama sees the continuing financial crisis as usefully the psychological conditions – the sense of crisis bordering on fear-itself panic – for enacting his “Bing Bang” agenda to federalize and/or socialize health care, education and energy, the commanding heights of post-industrial society.

CLEVER POLITICS BUT INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST TO THE CORE. Health, education and energy – worthy and weighty as they may be – are not the cure. The fraudulent claim that they both cause and cure is the rhetorical device by which an ambitious president intends to enact the most radical agenda of social transformation seen in our lifetime.}

President Obama’s Visit to Orange County (Part 1 of 2)

In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Even if you did not vote for him, it is an honor for Orange County to have this visit. Having just returned from a marvelous 15 days – 4 island vacation in Hawaii, my purpose is to understand the mind and heart of President Obama.

This blog has more than 600 letters directly and indirectly relating to the mind and heart of Catholic-in-name-only politicians. (CINOP) It is contrary to natural law to support abortion, assisted-suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research and same-sex marriage. This blog loves traditional America and fears the CINOP as the Trojan horse for a secular socialist America.

Also the following article by the highly respected columnist Charles Krauthammer has kept me awake since I returned from Hawaii. It concerns the core of Obama’s plans for America. Please read slowly and over again.

{Forget the pork. Forget the waste. Forget the 8,570 earmarks in a bill supported by a president who poses as the scourge of earmarks. Forget the “2 trillion dollar savings” that “we have already identified,” $1.6 trillion of which President Obama’s budget director later admits is the “savings” of/not/ continuing the surge in Iraq /until 2019/ - 11 years after George Bush ended it, and eight years after even Bush would have had us out of Iraq completely.

Forget all this. This is the run of the mill budget trickery. True, Obama’s tricks come festooned with strings of zeros tacked onto the end. But that’s a matter of scale, not principle.

All presidents do that. But few undertake the kind of brazen deception at the heart of Obama’s radically transformative economic plan, a rhetorical slight of hand so smoothly offered that few noticed.

The logic of Obama’s address to Congress went like this:

“Our economy did not fall into decline overnight,” he averred. Indeed, it all began before the housing crisis. What did we do wrong? We are paying for past sins in three principle areas: energy, health care, and education – importing too much oil and not finding new sources of energy (as in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Outer Continental Shelf?), not reforming health care, and tolerating too many bad schools.} (To be continued)

Common sense, truth and honesty beg to differ with the above last paragraph. Energy, health care, and education have nothing to do with the economic crisis we are in today. Krauthammer’s analysis will continue in part 2.

Wisdom, Truth and Glory

Wisdom, Truth and Glory
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone - Monday, March 16, 2009

Let’s look for wisdom, truth and the greater glory of God in the following:

We need the living Christ, whom we can know only through our encounter with him. But encounter presumes actual presence – the Real Presence, which, in turn, requires the Sacrament of the Church that alone is authorized to give us the Sacrament, the Church that Christ himself willed into existence and continues to support. The Eucharist, at each new celebration, must be recognized anew as the core of our Christian life. But we cannot celebrate the Eucharist adequately if we are content to reduce it to a ritual of –more or less- half-hours duration. To receive Christ means to worship him. - March 5th entry.

There are many persons who live in conflict with themselves. This aversion for oneself, this inability to accept oneself and to be reconciled with oneself is far removed from the self-abnegation that the Lord asks of us. If we fail to love ourselves, we cannot love our neighbor…. It is true, moreover, that only when we have accepted ourselves can we address a genuine Yes to anyone else. - March 6th, entry.

Our way to the other leads by way of God. Without this intermediary of our unity, we will always be separated from one another by abysses that no good will can bridge. - March 7th.

The end never justifies the means. What is wrong in itself continues to be wrong however noble the end toward which it is directed…. Whatever is done in the name of terrorism affects us precisely as Christians and calls for a Christian response. In the last analysis, all acts of terrorism that label themselves on one way or another as Marxist share a single characteristic: that man wants to appropriate to himself the role of Divine Providence, to usurp the position of God – the story of paradise and the serpent has an relevance in our day. - March 8th entry.

Christianity is no longer tied to the past; it is firmly rooted in today. That was the electrifying thought that Pope John XXIII himself summarized in the word aggiornamento…. Christianity is not linked to any past: Jesus Christ is “yesterday and today and forever.” (Heb. 13:8) - March 9th entry.

A Christianity that believes it has no other function than to be completely in tune with the spirit of the times has nothing to say and no meaning to offer. It can abdicate without more ado.- March 10th entry.

The conversation between Jesus and the teacher of the law deals with a question that concerns all of us. How do I live as I ought? What must I do to make a success of my life? … How, then, can I learn what it means to be human? What must I do? In his question the teacher of the law mentions a prerequisite that we seldom consider nowadays: if my life in this world is to be successful, I must remember that God put me in this world for a purpose and he will one day demand an account of what I have done with my life…. if we fail to keep before our eyes God’s standard, the standard of eternity, then egoism is the only guideline left us…. Hence the first guideline is: live not for yourself alone; live under the eye of God: live in such a way that he will be pleased with you and that you will some day be eternally welcome in the company of God and his saints. - March 11th entry.
