Peace on Earth and in Our Lives

Peace on Earth and in Our Lives *
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, December 31, 2010

“Peace! The biblical term shalom, which is usually so translated, implies more than the absence of armed conflict; it means the right order of human affairs, well-being – a world where trust and friendship prevail, where neither fear nor want nor treachery nor dishonesty is found.

“Yet the song of the angels first lays down a precondition, without which there can be no lasting peace: (God’s glory) This is the message of peace at Bethlehem: peace among men results from God’s glory.

“Those who are concerned about God’s glory first of all. God’s glory is not some private concern, left to the personal choice of the individual; it is a public affair. It is a common good, and wherever God is not honored among men, there man as well will not remain honorable.

“The reason why Christmas affects the peace of man lies in this: because it has restored God’s glory among men.”
++++++++++++
O Lord, my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot in your hands (Ps 16:5)

“The background of this Psalm verse is the ancient image of the cup containing the lots for each man, and God holding these lots. Yet in this image two different conceptions about the meaning and challenge of time collide, conceptions that even nowadays will determine our struggle for the future.

“The pagan world view was also familiar with the image of lots, but with entirely different premises: the world is game of luck governed by the one rule - blind chance… The Bible has transformed this frightening image… But this cup with the lots is held “in your hands”, in the hands of eternal Wisdom and eternal Love.

“Because the cup is in his hands, the only losing lot would be the refusal to accept at all the lot from his hands… To draw our existence out of this time, to acknowledge this time as our true time, and out of this awareness to model this our world – such is the call of this Psalm verse… And so then, we put this new year, the new time and our future, into the hands of God: do accept us, and grant us your blessing!”

Happy New Year!

The Destructive Origin of the Liberal Progressive Movement

The Destructive Origin of the Liberal Progressive Movement
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, December 30, 2010

What follows is a most insightful article by Thomas Sowell, a writer in the tradition of Alexander Hamilton, in the Orange County Register, Dec. 29/10 “Lawmaking Run Amok” – excerpts:

“During the Progressive era of the early 20th century, the denigration of the Constitution began, led by such luminaries as Princeton scholar and future President of the United States Woodrow Wilson, future Harvard Law School Dean Roscoe Pound and future Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis.

“As a professor at Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson wrote condescendingly of “the simple days of 1787” when the Constitution was written and how, in our presumably more complex times, “each generation of statesmen looks to the Supreme Court to supply the interpretation which will serve the needs of the day.”*

“This kind of argument would be repeated for generations, with no more evidence that 1787 was any less complicated than later years than Woodrow Wilson presented – which was none – and with no more reasons why the need for “change” meant that unelected judges should be the ones making those changes, as if there were no elected representatives of the people.

“Professor Roscoe Pound likewise referred to the need for “a living constitution by judicial interpretation”, in order to “respond to the vital needs of present day life.” He rejected the idea of law as “a body of rules”.

“But law is not a body of rules, what is it? A set of arbitrary fiats by judges, imposing their own vision of “the needs of the times”? Or a set of arbitrary regulations stealthily emerging from the within the bowels of a bureaucracy?

“Louis Brandeis was another leader of this progressive era chorus of demands for moving beyond law as rules, such as those set forth in the Constitution, and around the elected representatives of “we the people.” As Roscoe Pound put it, law should be “in the hands of a progressive and enlightened caste whose conceptions are in advance of the public”

“That is still the vision of the left a hundred years later. The Constitution cannot protect us unless we protect the Constitution by voting out those who promote end runs around it.”

George H. Kubeck, the needs of the day* were not served when prayer was outlawed in our public schools or when Roe vs. Wade on Jan. 22nd, 1973 legalized abortion on demand. Their ideas are intellectually and morally bankrupt like judicial activists trying to legalize same-sex marriage or introducing social engineering into the Army with the repeal of DADT. Also liberal progressive democratic socialist economics will bankrupt America.

Think about it! What is the difference between a liberal progressive socialist in America and the National Socialist in the 1930’s in Germany or the Communist Socialist in Russia? All three subvert our Constitution, Declaration of Independence and the beliefs of our Founding Fathers. This is a good reason to attend the monthly Tea Party Meetings. Part 5 - A Parable - The Abortion Party

Part 5- A Parable – The Abortion Party

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Note that Part 4 of the Parable was not e-mailed to you. It is posted on the blog. Today’s last page is from James M. Thunder, New Oxford Review, and Nov., 2010. [Mail or e-mail to the 12 Bishops in Calif., during Jan. 2011.]* “

They propose an alternative system of morality totally at odds with fundamental human dignity, with our Lord, and with the Church. ‘Many, of whom I have often told you and now, tell you even with tears, live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things’ (Phil 3:18-19). For all their nice words, for all their smiles and happy faces, for all their stated concerns about poverty and violence, they create more poverty of spirit, more violence in the womb.

“Whatever we decide today, the world will take note. We must dissolve our bonds with them and, to a candid world; we must declare the causes that require us to do so. They promote tolerance but prevent a pro-life Democratic governor from addressing their convention and prevent pro-life Catholics from being appointed judges. They promote multiculturalism but the only culture they care about is the culture of death. They preach cooperation, but no cooperation with the divine plan. They are disordered. They are confused. They are ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing. We must refuse them. We must do it publicly. We must do it now.

“St. Paul exhorts us as he did the believers in Corinth: ‘I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world … I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler – not even to eat with such a one … Remove the wicked man from yourselves’ (1 Cor. 5:9-11, 13)

“Some people will criticize us for breaching the separation of church and state, of making martyrs to worship other gods and to pursue their godless policies like the obstinate, hard-hearted Israelites of old; we simply refuse to allow them to call themselves Catholic. This generation refers constantly to ‘choice.’ God has given every human beings a choice, the fundamental choice between following or not following His commands. People are free to define what and who is Catholic. We, the bishops of the Church in union with Rome, do that. Pro-abortionists can lead others to perdition, but we cannot let them do so while calling themselves Catholic.

”Brothers, whenever I have read the passages in Ezekiel and Jeremiah and Zechariah castigating bad shepherds, I have prayed to God that these will not apply to me. And I pray that they will not apply to you. “In the fifth century A.D., St. Patrick responded to the raping, kidnapping, and enslaving of the Irish people by excommunicating the guilty Christians from England. He did not wait for consensus from the British bishops, Brothers, I ask you to join me. But if you do not, I am charged with the protection of the people under my care. So with you or without you, I will excommunicate the pro-abortion elected officials of any party and I will forbid Catholics from joining or supporting or supporting or voting for the Democratic Party.

“What shall we tell pro-life supporters of the Democratic Party? I ask you to join me in encouraging them, Catholic and non-Catholic, to form a party styled the New Democratic. When they do so, their policies will not simply be the current Democratic Party without an abortion-rights plank. Rather, they will be invented anew. Their pro-life values will permeate all of their policies. That is my fervent prayer for the pro-life Democrats and for this nation: May we ever be under God.”

Most Rev. Joseph Martino, Bishop Emeritus. Diocese of Scranton

Most Rev. Joseph Martino, Bishop Emeritus. Diocese of Scranton
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegon.com – Feast of the Holy Innocents - Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010

The bishop Martino’s pastoral message is to persuade you to support “The Cardinal Newman Society”* and become with them a partner for the truth. The Society tries to inform and educate all Catholic Colleges to be in full compliance with Ex corde Ecclesiae and Cannon Law. A recent Cardinal Newman Society survey will surprise and shock you. BishopMartino@cardinalnewmansociety.org

1.)Nearly 1-in-8 Catholics will leave the Faith while attending a Catholic College?
2.)27% of students at Catholic colleges view pornography.

3.)59% say their friends regularly use drugs.
4.)Nearly 1-in-5 knows a student who have had or paid for an abortion.

5.)61% disagree with the Church’s infallible teaching on the male priesthood.
6.)60% think that premarital sex with someone you care about is not a sin.

7.)78% disagree that using a condom is a serious sin.
8.)58% support “gay marriage”.

“If we cannot do better than that at a Catholic college, what will happen to our culture? This is a terrible crisis and we all need to do our part. The future of the Church and our nation is at risk, as are the souls of our young Catholic men and women.

“I am so very thankful that The Cardinal Newman Society remains steadfast in its commitment to our Faith. I support the mission to prod wayward Catholic colleges to embrace the richness that is genuine Catholic education. It is a cause that is near to the hearts of Pope Benedict and his venerable predecessor, Pope John Paul II.

“Please stand with them in this important fight. I know from experience how difficult it can be to stand alone, crying in the wilderness for fidelity. I have had a close relationship- with the Cardinal Newman Society and am grateful that they are on the job:

a)Alerting the faithful to scandal on Catholic campuses; Working with college leaders to improve policies and programs; Helping Catholic families in their search for good colleges; Promoting Eucharist Adoration on campuses; Helping colleges defend their religious liberty from secularism; And much more!”

George H. Kubeck, There is something rotten in the state of Catholic College Education! May I share two points! As a graduate of a Jesuit College in 1952, I believe that the Jesuits have sworn an oath of loyalty to Pope Benedict. Jesuit colleges are not abiding by that oath. Secondly, those close to the U.S. bishops and the staff at USCCB who are not 100% for normal marriage - move out of the way or resign.

Part 4 - A Parable - The Abortion Party

Part 4 – A Parable – The Abortion Party
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, December 27, 2010

“The Democratic formal and unwavering support for abortion has given abortion the appearance of normalcy, of being mainstream. On the contrary, it is inimical not only to Christian living but to good human living. “When each politician with whom I visited sought to defend himself by saying that he himself had never had an abortion or procured one, I quoted to each of them – and I quote to you today – John 19:11, where Jesus said to Pilate, ’You have no power over me if it had not been given to you from above. For this reason the one that handed me over to you has the greater sin.’

“I paraphrased this for them: “The abortionist would have no power over the preborn child if it had not been given to him by the courts and the legislators. For this reason, the courts and legislatures who handed millions of human babies over to the abortionists have the greater sin.’

“As most of you know, my parents named me for St. John Fisher, who, alone among all the bishops of England, stood fast with the pope and the Church against schism, and was martyred. So, I cannot help reflecting on these current circumstances in light of those of England, and of Henry VIII, in the 1500s. King Henry believed that his wife, Catherine of Aragon, had failed him and England in not bringing forth a male heir. On its face, this would seem to have little to do with today’s debate about abortion because, after all, Henry wanted to have a child, not to abort a child. But it has a great deal to do with today’s debate.

“Henry urged what in today’s terminology would be called the right of an individual to reproduce. To bear a son, however, he would have to abort the marriage. He would treat Catherine and the institution of marriage like so much dung. And he would require every person in the realm, his chancellor and friend St. Thomas More, and all the bishops of the realm, to actively support him. He would sunder the Church between her English and non-English parts, he would sunder the pope and the faithful, rather than countenance any limitation on “right” to reproduce.

“He would kill the Church in England, he would kill More and Fisher, he would kill his marriage, he would kill innocent human beings – as long as it was to cure the disease of failed succession. In today’s terminology, he didn’t believe the Church’s view of morality should be imposed on him – and he could change the law and change the institution of marriage to fit his alleged right.

“Brothers, the men and women who call themselves Catholic and who support the alleged right to murder innocent preborn children are heirs to Henry VIII. They would kill marriage, they would kill innocent human beings rather than yield to Christ, to the constant and consistent teaching of the Church, to the pope, to the universal regard for the dignity of men and women, the dignity of marriage, the dignity of human offspring…” to be continued

HELL NO TO SAME-SEX MARRIAGE!

HELL NO TO SAME-SEX MARRIAGE!

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Feast of the Holy Family –Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010

Evidence for deliberation, study and action:

1.Article in the Orange County Register, Dec. 25/10 on Vice President Biden” AP – Laurie Kellman

“Liturgy of the Hours – Apostle Paul to Ephesians 5:21-6:4 – Pope Paul VI – Nazareth a Model”

“In the 1960’s New Orleans Archbishop Joseph Rummel was busy excommunicating prominent local Catholic politicians for their pro-segregation politics.”

“Catholic-in-name-only politician Vice President Joe Biden and his CINO accomplices in the Senate: They are Landrieu, Leahy, Kerry, Durbin, Harkin, Mikulski, Murray, Menendez, Begich, Cantwell, Gillibrand and McCaskill.” These senators promote not only abortion but also same-sex marriage.

“Homosexuality and Hope – Are some individuals born with same-sex attraction? No. A number of researchers have sought to find a genetic cause for same-sex attraction (SSA). The media has promoted that a “gay gene” has already been discovered, but in spite of several attempts none … has been scientifically replicated. A number of authors have carefully reviewed these studies and found that not only do the studies prove a genetic basis for same-sex attraction, the reports do not even contain such claims.” [We had an election in November which repudiated social engineering ideas.]

“Call upon the USCCB (US. Catholic Conference of Bishops) take action, censure or excommunication:”

1. Biden Sees Growing Support for Same-Sex Marriage in U.S.
Washington – Vice President Joe Biden predicted Friday the evolution in thinking that will permit gay people to soon serve openly in the military eventually will bring about a national consensus for same- sex marriage. Changes in attitudes by military leaders, those in the service and the public allowed congressional repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, Biden said in a nationally broadcast interview Friday.

“I think the country’s evolving,” he said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” And I think you are going to see, you know, the next effort is probably going to be to deal with so-called DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act).” He said he agreed with Obama that his position on gay marriage is “evolving.” President Barack Obama recently said his feelings on gay marriage were in a state of transition. But he also said he still believes in allowing strong civil unions that provide certain protections and legal rights that married couples have.

Obama said he is still wrestling with whether gay couples should have the right to marry, now that a change in the law will allow them to serve openly in combat. The question about same-sex marriage came at Obama’s news conference Wednesday, hours after he signed legislation repealing the ban on troop’s serving openly. In his interview on ABC, Biden brought up the Defense of Marriage Act, which is a law that defines marriage as between a man a woman. Obama has repeatedly said he would like to see the law repealed, but the Justice Department has defended its constitutionality…

George H. Kubeck, to have the above article published on Christmas Day was demonic. What can we expect on the Tuesday, the Feast of the Holy Innocents? The repeal of DADT by this lame-duck Congress will not stand.

A Blessed Christmas

A BLESSED CHRISTMAS
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, December 24, 2010

This is a Blessed Christmas to everyone from the writings* of Pope Benedict XVI:

‘Rejoice! And I say again, rejoice!” The notion of joy is altogether fundamental to Christianity, which by its very nature is and claims to be evangelium, gospel, joyful news… “Rejoice in the Lord”, because the Apostle obviously believes that all true joy is joy in the Lord and that there can be no true joy at all without the Lord… Thus we are told that only through Christ did real joy appear and that in our life, in the last analysis, nothing matters more than coming to recognize and to understand Christ, the God of grace, the light and joy of the world.
‘The most genuine and most important values are found in the world precisely under the sign of humility, of hiddennous, of silence. Whatever is decisively great in this world, whatever determines its fate and its history, is that which appears small to our eyes. God, after having chosen the small and ignored people of Israel for his very own people, has made, in Bethlehem, the sign of insignificance into the decisive sign of his presence in this world. This is the challenge of the holy night – faith; faith to receive him under this sign and to trust him without arguing or grumbling. To receive him: this means for us to submit to this sign, to truth and to love, which are the highest and most God-like values, and at the same time the most neglected and most silent.

‘Christmas beckons us to enter into God’s silence, and his mystery remains unknown to so many because they cannot find the silence in which God is active. How can we find it?.. Silence means to develop sensitivity, a sensitivity for our conscience, for the eternal in us, and an openness for God speaking to us The dinosaurs are said to have become extinct because their development went in the wrong direction: plenty of armor plate and little brain, plenty of muscles and little sense. Are we not also to develop in the wrong direction: plenty of technology but little soul? A thick armor plate of material expertise but an emptied heart? Dearth of the ability to perceive God’s voice in us, to recognize and acknowledge what is beautiful and true?... it has to consist in restoring the moral and religious sense to its rightful place in man…

‘The Word became flesh… God has become flesh… God became a child who needed a mother…God became a child and every child is dependent. To be a child thus contains already the theme of the search for shelter, the elementary motif of Christmas. And how many variations has this motif seen in our history… There is indeed an atmosphere of hostility toward children, but is this not preceded by an attitude that altogether bars any child from entering this world because there would be no room for him? The child knocks. If we would receive him we are to rethink thoroughly our own attitude toward human life. Here we are dealing with fundamentals, with our very concept of what it means to be human: to live in grandiose selfishness or in confident freedom that knows its vocation to be united in love, to be free to accept one another.

Meet Congressman John Boehner

Meet Congressman John Boehner

John is the new House Speaker of Congress. “In the days before the election, this congressman from Ohio told talk radio host Sean Hannity: “We will not compromise on our principles.” And when asked what he was doing to prep for Election Day and after, he told radio host Mike Gallagher, “I’ve praying all day, every day, trying to make it through this election and make sure our team is successful.”

“He added that prayer “does work.” “You’ve got to stay at it every day and build a closer relationship with our Savior.”… Defender of Life: In a letter to House Republican members after the election, Boehner paid tribute to his parents for sending him and his siblings to Catholic schools: “I grew up in a small house on a hill in Reading, Ohio, with eleven brothers and sisters. My Dad owned a bar – Andy’s CafĂ© – that my grandfather Andy Boehner started in 1938. What little money my parents had they used to send all of us to Catholic schools. I would nights as a janitor to put myself through college.”…

Boehner spoke to the National Right to Life Committee in June. Receiving the Defender of Life from the group, Boehner said, “Respect for life has never been a political position for me. It just came naturally. It’s me. It’s what I believe. It’s what my parents instilled in me as I grew up in America. I think millions of Americans had a similar experience.”

He went on to say that “Americans love life and we love freedom. They’re both intertwined, permanently, as part of the American character. America is a nation built on freedom. And without respect for life, freedom is in jeopardy.”

“When human life takes a back seat to other priorities – personal comforts, economics – freedom is diminished. By contrast, when we affirm the dignity of life, we affirm our commitment to freedom,” Boehner said. On the health-care legislation, he pointed out that “the overwhelming opposition of the American people to taxpayer funding of abortion almost kept it from becoming law. The American people – and a bipartisan majority in the House – supported the Stupak amendment, which would have prohibited taxpayer funding of abortion through the health-care bill.” [Note Stupak betrayed that amendment.]…

Boehner said the health-care overhaul “wasn’t being driven by the will of the people; it was being driven by the will of special interests – radical special interests who believe the killing of unborn human life is “health care.”… “It’s time for Washington to stop defying the will of the American people on this critical, commonsense issue.”

In Memoriam
The late Illinois Congressman, Henry Hyde, a strong pro-life supporter said: “When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I’ve often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God – and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there’ll be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world, but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world – and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, “SPARE HIM, BECAUSE HE LOVED US.” www.cinopsbegone.com

Report on 2010 March for Life

Report on 2010 March for Life
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, December 21, 2010

“Pro-Life Movement Continues to Grow” is the title of the article by Vincent J. Covelto in Soul Issue Four of Four, fall 2010. The following are some significant excerpts:

“The 2010 March for Life in Washington, D.C. was no exception. Every year for 37 years participants have numbered from tens to hundreds of thousands. They come to Washington on a cold January 22nd, which is the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision in the Roe vs. Wade case legalizing abortion.

“Teens and young adults now represent a major portion of all those who peacefully make the march. They are becoming a pro-life generation that is not afraid to voice its support for life. Many have embraced the pro-life movement. They have seen babies of pictures developing in their mothers’ womb and know friends who regret having abortions. They strongly support the preservation of all human life. The annual March for Life provides an excellent forum for them to stand up for life … despite opposing pressure from the media and peers…

“A priest from the mid-west related how in 1996 he brought 4 busloads of teens to the March. In 2010 more than two dozen buses traveled to Washington from the same area. The size of the crowd for the March in 2010 was estimated to be the largest on record. Estimates ranged from 400,000 by March organizers, to 300,000 by EWTN to 200,000 by reporters governing the March. … It is also one with participants who are the most well behaved.

“In choosing to attend the March, many people get up early for a long bus ride to Washington. When the March is over they re-board their buses for a straight through ride back home to states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, among others… Bus organizers sometimes receive financial support from their parishes who help pay the cost of the bus. If you are considering organizing a bus to the March in 2011, please check with your pastor to see if he will help share the cost…

“The opening Mass was held on January 21, 2010, the eve of the March, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in northeast Washington. This was followed by an all night vigil. On the 22nd at noon on the Capital Mall there were speeches by many noted pro-life speakers… The March itself took place at 2 P.M. along Constitution Avenue and ended in front of the Supreme Court Building.

“Media coverage of the event was mostly non-existent.* … There was no coverage by the country’s major newspapers. New York Times, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times… Those who support abortion need to recognize the pro-life movement will simply not go away until there is an end to abortion… Gallup poll in 2009 found 51% of Americans are “pro-life” on the abortion issue, while 42% are “pro-choice.” It found that 50% of Catholics and 59% of other Christians were pro-life. The Fatima World Apostolate supports the March for Life & encourages all to attend this worthwhile gathering…”

George H. Kubeck, *Politically correct journalism must cease. It is a threat to our nation and national security. It is what keeps the culture of death afloat in America. When you are afraid of the truth, hide it and not publish it, Founding Father Alexander Hamilton would rip this kind of journalism apart.

Religion Taught in Russian Schools

Religion Taught in Russian Schools
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, December 20, 2010

“On July 21, 2009, President Dmitry Medvedev, President of Russia, announced plans to reintroduce religious education in the public schools. For most people over 40, this announcement must come as a real shock.

“The plan would give parents of students at 12,000 Russian middle schools a choice to have their children learn either Russian Orthodoxy or secular ethics. Schools that have a significant number of Muslims, Jewish or Buddhist students could offer courses in those faiths. Roman Catholicism is a minority religion in Russia, but it has the potential to be offered to students. President Medvedev also stated that this pilot program demonstrates their government realizes a full education includes more than just reading, writing and arithmetic.

“The fact that the Russian Government is planning on teaching religion/ethics is mind-boggling considering history since 1917. Communism began with the Russian Revolution that year and this form of government had been described as “militantly atheistic.” Religion was allowed, but better stated, it was tolerated… An ideological objective of communism was the elimination of religion and the promotion of “scientific truths.” Children were told to report to the authorities if their parents taught them religion at home, and in the process, they made themselves orphans.

“Blue Army’s Response to the Red Army: Beginning in 1947, the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima was started by Monsignor Harold Colgan in a parish church in New Jersey to thank the Blessed Virgin for a cure from an almost fatal heart ailment. The Blue Army was to be a religious response to the Red Army of atheistic communism. Joining forces with John Haffert, within a just a few short years, together they inspired millions of people to pray for peace and the conversion of Russia. This fact was mocked by the communists in their October 1967 Science and Religion magazine which was used for propaganda purposes. The “Cold War” between the U.S.A. and Russia began after World War II.

“Following the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope John Paul II in March, 1984, a number of unbelievable events began to transpire beginning with the fall of the Berlin Wall in Germany. Shortly thereafter, one Communist country after another began to collapse, almost miraculously and without a bomb being dropped. Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev, and many others played key parts in the collapse of Communism. The millions of Rosarys also played a large part….

“U.S.A. Prohibits Religious Education: It is ironic and sad here in the U.S.A. that religious education is not allowed in public schools and prayer has been banned… Moments of silence or silent prayer at appropriate moments must be reinstituted. Russia has found a way to deal with teaching various religions and we could do the same… The future of our country and our world depend on a belief in God. Our country’s founding fathers also had this belief. They just did not want the government “establishing religion” and most probably did not want a government/legal mandate against religion. “In God We Trust” appearing on our currency is a reminder of this belief.”

A Parable - The Rise of the Abortion Party -3

A Parable – The Rise of the Abortion Party –3
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Sunday, December 19, 2010

We continue with James M. Thunder’s article in the New Oxford Review. Nov. 2010:

“They responded that they believed the right of a woman to choose abortion was a fundamental human right and that the Church herself recognizes this right in the form of an individual’s freedom of conscience. The Democrats also said that, even if they did not believe this, they would not be allowed to remain leaders in the Democratic Party and help advance all the good that that party does – often consistent with the other Church teachings – if they should forsake this principle.

“I then inquired about their efforts to make abortions ‘rare.’ I asked them if they have ever suggested to a woman or girl that she should not have an abortion; if they have ever said publicly that abortion is objectively wrong; if they have ever said publicly that abortion is the taking of innocent human life; if they have ever said that abortion should not be used as a last resort for birth control; if they have ever told men that they should abstain from sexual intercourse unless they were married, and if they did not, and pregnancy resulted, that they should assume responsibility for the child. For each question on this ‘cross-examination of conscience’ the answer was ‘no.’

“Brothers, the Democratic Party today is not the Democratic Party of our youth or of our forebears. AT ITS CORE, IT IS THE ABORTION PARTY. It is this core that draws its membership, its funding, its leadership. It is anti-ethical to a fundamental teaching of our Church, of our Lord. If we do not share with women the protection of innocent life, then despite their talk of ‘shared values,’ we do not share anything of value with them, and we do not share with Christ.

“As bad as the destruction of innocent human life is, support for abortion harms more than embryonic and fetal human beings. In supporting abortion as a legitimate choice, our courts, our officeholders, our laws, and above all the Abortion Party, now called the Democratic Party, encourage women to act contrary to their basic maternal instincts. They encourage men to violate the dignity of women and contrary to their own basic instincts to protect and provide for women and offspring.

They redefine manliness and womanliness. This malignant growth is not satisfied with abortion. It grows and grows. Its lusts knows no bounds. It is no longer sufficient for women to have the right to abort for any reason; now medical personnel and politicians proclaim the right to develop embryonic human beings so that they can be destroyed for medical research. Abortion divorces sexual expression from commitment, responsibility, procreation.

It has rendered human reproduction to so little a consequence that it is no longer a principle aim of marriage; people of the same sex – incapable of coupling – are encouraged to engage in intimate sexual activity and to marry. Our Catholic Democrats incite the public with hatred towards pro-life Catholics and the Church by objecting vehemently any time any of us says that such activity is wrong, is wrong for all, is wrong for all times and in all places, is perverse and deviate.

A Parable - The Rise of the Abortion Party - Part 2

A Parable – The Rise of the Abortion Party - Part 2
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, December 18, 2010

Part 2 of the parable, note terms like counseled, decisions, pastorally prudent, failed to educate. The author is James M. Thunder.
The Catholic bishops now faced a conundrum. They had no fundamental quarrel with former Democratic Party. In fact, they had much in common with it. Many of their fathers and mothers and siblings and neighbors had been staunch members of the party. Many of the Church’s teachings had been better implemented by the former Democratic Party than by the Republican Party. But the former Democratic Party was no more.

Many of the bishops’ relatives and neighbors, and large numbers of baptized Catholics – even pro-life Catholics – had become active in the Abortion Party as that party adopted, one by one, many of the former Democratic Party’s policies. Thirty years of attempts by the bishops to educate American Catholics had failed. The current generation of leading Catholic politicians had joined the Abortion Party when they were young, and they were now leaders, even candidates for the presidency, of the new Democratic Party.

Though a majority of the bishops refused to expressly prohibit lay membership and participation in the new Democratic Party, some suggested that Catholic politicians – of any party – with long records of legislative support for abortion be forbidden to receive Holy Communion. The majority of Catholic bishops again counseled against taking such action. They should not frontally attack the political party of so many Americans, so many of their fellow Catholics, so many of their fathers and mothers, the party of FDR and the New Deal, the oldest political party in the world. It was, they said, pastorally prudent under the current circumstances to educate the faithful rather than command them.

And so they resolved to meet with a number of leading Catholic politicians in one-on-one visits. After thirty or so bishops had met with several dozen Catholic politicians who had long voting records in favor of abortion, the bishops of the United States gathered again. One of their number rose & addressed the assembly.

“Brothers in our Lord Jesus Christ, I have spoken one-on-one with several Catholic officials who have long voting records in favor of abortion and who reside in my diocese. I greeted each in the name of Jesus. We began with a short prayer to the Holy Spirit. They knew why I had asked them to visit with me. Each told me that they believed abortion was wrong and that they were personally opposed to it. Each told me that abortion should be legal and safe but rare.”

“With respect, I inquired of them with a list: Why had they consistently voted for abortion, voted against the bills outlawing partial-birth abortion, against the bills that would require informed consent by the women, against the bills that would allow for government regulation of abortion clinics, against the bills that would require the consent of the parents of minors seeking an abortion, and for bills paying for the destruction of human embryos for medical research, for the bills that would require taxpayers to provide financial support for abortions by poor women, for the bills that would use taxpayer money to promote and fund abortions abroad, and more…” to be continued.

The Good News for Life in 2011

The Good News for Life in 2011
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, December 17, 2010

When Congress comes back in session, four pro-life leaders will take the helm of the U.S. House of Representatives. “Finally, the House leadership reflects the majority of Americans who are also pro-life,” said Dr. Yoest. She noted that the “Speaker-elect John Boehner told me that he wanted to be the most pro-life Speaker ever” and has been a friend and ally of Americans United for Life.

The bottom line is that there are now approximately 80 new pro-life members of the U.S. House, and approximately 50 of them will replace pro-abortion members. This included the defeat of about 30 Catholic-in-name-only Democratic politicians. A GREAT LIFE VICTORY!

The pro-life Susan B. Anthony List is also excited. They along with the above increased the number of pro-life women governors from one to four. Also, it is time to turn our pro-life electoral victories into legislative victories. Here are two examples:

1.)The “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,” is a bi-partisan bill sponsored by Reps. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Dan Lipinski (D-IL) that would create a government-wide statutory prohibition on abortion funding…

2.)The “Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act,” sponsored by Rep. Mike Spence (R-IN) would ensure that abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, do not receive federal dollars under the Title X federal family planning assistance program. According to the Government Accountability Office, abortion providers have received over a billion dollars in the past seven years. These bills are written and ready to go. Our pro-life leaders in Congress just need our help to push them to the finish line.

Let’s conclude with a personal message from Father Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life, www.PriestsForLife.org – mail@priestsforlife.org

“I was recently in Rome and had the great honor to participate in a pro-life prayer vigil his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI… The Pope emphasized that God himself became a baby in Mary’s womb, and lived to save mankind through His death on the Cross. He went on to say we must all be concerned for the unborn, the most fragile, the most threatened by the selfishness of adults and the darkening of consciences… Now I want to do a special favor for you. On Christmas day, when I celebrate Mass, I want to pray for you and your family as we commemorate the birth of the baby Jesus.” Type your intentions via the above e-mail.

George H. Kubeck, Please telephone Congressmen in Orange County to support the above two bills.

A Parable - The Rise of the Abortion Party - Part 1

A Parable – The Rise of the Abortion Party – Part I
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Preface: What are the messages of this parable? It may be wise to wait until you have read all of it. There are five pages in “New Oxford Review” – Nov. 2010. The author is James M. Thunder. He is a Washington, D.C. attorney, has served as general counsel of Americans United for Life. His 2003 article in Issues in Law & Medicine, “Quiet Killings in Medical Facilities: Dedection and Prevention,” resulted in interviews in newspapers and on television and radio. He is a regular contributor to The American Spectator (www.spectator.org ) and Spero News (www.speroforum.com )

The Article in full: “Suppose that, in the 1960s, several hundred Americans in favor of overturning the conventional prohibitions on abortion establish a new political party. To highlight its distinct platform, the, they unabashedly named it the Abortion Party. The new party attracted a lot of attention and a fair amount of money. Party members organized in several states and worked diligently and successfully to change the laws of those states. The party fielded candidates and a few won office.

“At this juncture, several Catholic bishops suggested to each other in private meetings that they publicly forbid Catholics from joining the party, contributing to the party, or voting for the party’s candidates. The majority of Catholic bishops counseled against taking this action. They said things were different now – no longer do we publish lists of forbidden books, forbidden movies, and forbidden organizations like the Masons. It was, they said, pastorally prudent under the current circumstances to educate the faithful rather than command them. They expressed their firm belief that, over time, this third party would, like all third parties in American history (except the Republican Party) wither away.

“Shortly thereafter, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision in “Roe v. Wade” [1973] making abortion legal in all fifty states, at all times of pregnancy, and defining maternal health so broadly as to offer no limitation. Having won this unexpected victory, the National Committee of the Abortion Party met to devise plans to defeat any attempt to limit abortion, and to enlarge its membership and enhance its chances of becoming a leading political party.

“In the ensuing thirty years, the Abortion Party did grow. The number of people voting in its primaries grew exponentially. The number of party officeholders expanded and eclipsed all other third parties in U.S. history (except the Republican Party). The party expanded its platform its platform to address the entire spectrum of public-policy concerns. The commitment to “abortion rights” and related issues, however, remained its raison d’ĂŞtre.

“The party’s growth came at the expense of one of the two extant major political parties. Republican Party had increasingly become the home of pro-life Americans, while the Democratic Party could not distinguish itself from the Abortionists. In recognition of this fact, the Abortion Party merged with the nearly defunct Democratic Party, and assumed the name of the Democratic Party…”

The Perfect Cultural Storm

The Perfect Cultural Storm
In pursuit of the truth – Cinops be gone – Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010

Let’s focus on this last chapter 10 of Bill Donohue’s book, Secular Sabotage – “How Liberals are Destroying Religion & Culture in America. Bill is President of the Catholic League.

“Secular saboteurs within the ranks of Catholicism and Protestantism are not going to give up, but they are not likely to succeed… While young people may be somewhat indifferent to religion, they are not screaming mad at their churches... the Catholic dissidents and the Protestant malcontents come up short. Sociologist Ken Sanchagrin was “astounded to see that by and large the growing churches are those that we ordinarily call conservative.” Conversely, “the more liberal the denomination by most people’s definition, the more they were losing.”…

Central to the battle between secularists and traditionalists are issues governing sexuality and the public role of religion. When these two areas of contention intersect, they have the makings of the perfect cultural storm… the outcome … will determine THE CONTENT OF NORMATIVE ORDER… nothing mobilizes secular saboteurs to war on the faithful more than challenges to their sexual libertine agenda. [Ref. Carl Anderson’s book, The Quiet Consensus for K. of C. action consideration.]

The issue of marriage is front and center. How will the right of two men affect religion? “This is going to affect every aspect of church-state relations.” Marc Stern, general counsel for the American Jewish Congress… Peter Steinfels writes, “He has in mind schools, health care centers, social service agencies, summer camps, homeless shelters, athletic programs and private business or services that operate by religious standards, like kosher caterers and marriage counselors.” “With regard to education, gay marriage will affect religious schools in admissions, employment, housing, and regulation of clubs. Licensing will also be impacted, especially laws affecting psychological clinics, social workers, and marital counselors.”…

To be sure, those out to sabotage America with their secular agenda are pushing hard for a train wreck. They are led on the intellectual front, by the new atheists: Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, and Daniel Dennett. The so-called Four Horsemen are fueled by religious hatred and a contempt for the religious traditions that mark Western Civilization… But not all agnostics and atheists are secularists at heart. Surely Guenter Lewy is not… he came to realize how indispensible religion is to the moral order. “We know of no society anywhere that has managed to build a culture devoid of religion.”… He is not easy on secular firebrands, the kind cut from the cloth of the Four Horsemen. He attributes to them a selfish and hedonistic individualism that reduces moral issues to civil liberties…

The militant atheists will stop at nothing, and that is why they must be relentless confronted by religious conservatives…

George H. Kubeck, The bottom line is what are you going to do about it? The battle is going on now!

WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!

WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!

http://www.californiafamilycouncil.org?/WhetherYouLikeItorNot
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, Dec. 8th, 2010

By Rebecca Burgoyne, CFC Research Analyst: “Best known as the taunt of then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, [Today this CINOP is Lt. Governor of California] these words soon became the mantra of Proposition 8 proponents in 2008. On the day the California Supreme Court overturned Proposition 22, California’s 2000 statute defining marriage as only between a man and a woman, Newsom had pontificated, “The door’s wide open now. It’s going to happen, whether you like it or not,” underscoring the rash of homosexual marriages he ignited in Feb., 2004.

“Now some Bay Area parents are hearing virtually the same words from their school district superintendent, as their children are being forced to watch pro-homosexual movies as part of a curriculum to promote “tolerance” in the Vallejo Unified School District (VUSD). Stemming from a 2009 court case in which an openly gay lesbian student charged she was being harassed by teachers and staff, a settlement agreement between the district and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) mandated staff sensitivity training for all employees and classrooms about respect for students.

“The mandatory training called Respect for Differences features three grade-level, heavily homosexual-slanted films depicting same-sex relationships – “That’s a Family,” “Let’s Get Real,” and “Straight-faced.” These films depict same-sex relationships and families just as normal and accepted as other family structures. If students miss a lesson, they are required to make it up, and parents are not notified in advance of the lesson…

“While Parents want the right to control what their children see – and when – the district superintendent does not agree. One parent with two-middle school students said, “No one should take my right to tell me what can be shown to my child. That’s my child.” Another parent with a nine year old daughter complained, “They tell me I have no parental consent over this … I have a choice to say when my daughter is ready for this topic.” However, these mandatory films and class curriculum may not be avoided by Valley public school students, as current law only allows parents to opt their children out of sex-ed course instruction.

“A parent brought the issue to the school board at a November meeting. Parents were critical that they were not notified and seemed to have no right to shelter their children from the sensitivity lessons. Many took exception to the strong emphasis on sexual orientation without the wider look at other forms of bullying or harassment. Several African-American parents – and one school-board – found the films stereotypical depiction of African-American families offensive.

“Sacramento-based Pacific Justice Institute (PJI)* is trying to help parents to get some satisfaction. While no child should be bullied for any reason, all too often an emphasis is place on sexual orientation, while other forms of bullying – due to race or religion – are ignored… In neighboring Alameda School District, PJI determined that bullying to sexual orientation was virtually non-existent…” *P.O. In the Name of Alexander Hamilton and St. Thomas More

In the Name of Alexander Hamilton and St. Thomas More
In pursuit of the truth, Cinops be gone, Sunday, December 4, 2010

The crisis of faith has stricken our country since the 1960’s. There is a loss of faith in the beliefs of our Founding Fathers, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Also, there is a crisis of faith that has engulfed the Church since the 1960’s and it has corrupted and disfigured the face of Catholicism. Ref. Alexander Hamilton – Founding Father on the blog, April 8, 2008

Alexander Hamilton is my favorite Founding Father. Hamilton was an American by choice and never owned any slaves. He wrote pages of wisdom in the Federalist papers. His integrity & standard of public service are unquestioned. During the War for Independence, Hamilton was an aide to George Washington and was his key advisor for eight years. He helped write Washington’s Farewell Address. He was a great persuader in resolving conflicts and securing the passage of the Constitution in New York. As Secretary of the Treasury, he laid the foundation stones for our free enterprise system.

Bishop Michael Saltarelli: Pray “O Glorious St. Thomas More, patron of statesmen, politicians, judges and lawyers, your life of prayer and penance, and your zeal for justice, integrity and firm principle in public and family life led you to the path of martyrdom and sainthood. Intercede for our statesmen, politicians, judges and lawyers, that they may courageous and effective in their defense and promotion of the sanctity of human life, - the foundation of all other human rights. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.” Ref. also on the blog 5 letters on St. Thomas More, December, 2008.

When you couple the above with walking in the footsteps of the Popes St. J.P. II and Benedict XVI, the truth will prevail. Our blind can see and the deaf can hear. Even the CINOP will understand for the sake of his soul that promoting at least 3 absolute evils leads to personal excommunication from the Church and no Catholic funeral. Also, it would not be America with same-sex marriage legalized.

Let’s start with the Farewell Address as our guide. Political correctness and multiculturalism are faction techniques and are un-American. They do not solve problems, they are the problem. They divide, brainwash and indoctrinate the nation. The liberal progressive socialist elite use this to divide and rule. They block out reason and common sense and introduce relativistic solutions.

The journalism of the N.Y. Times is dead. So is the independent-minded professional school teacher who does not live in a Right to Work State. Governor Jerry Brown’s signed the Rodda Act of 1975-6. It legalized industrial type unionism, politicized and brainwashed my teaching profession.

What frightens me and drives me up the wall is to recall the Parliament in Canada during the years 2004-5. The Canadian bishops had knowledge of the CINOP (Liberals) planning to legalize same-sex marriage. The Liberals succeeded in 2005. Over all the bishops did nothing about it. May this be unthinkable in Calif., or in America? This business of treating the CINOP as a Sacred Cow must cease.

I am fed up with the CINOP demagogues on poverty and helping the poor. They remind me of Stalin and Hitler. Their war on poverty destroyed the Black American family & kills them via abortion.

George H. Kubeck, with the reelection of CINOP Loretta Sanchez everything in Orange County, Calif. is on hold.

The War against the Unborn

The War against the Unborn
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, December 3, 2010

John Smeaton has a story to tell us. Ref. Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Nov. 3, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) by Patrick B. Craine - UK Pro-Life Leader: “This is World War III.” http:///.lifesitenews.com/Idn/printerfriendly.htlml?articleid=10110309

There is an all-out attack against the family being waged by the worldly powers in Europe, North America, and throughout the world, said John Smeaton, national director of the U.K.’s “Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), at the International Pro-Life Conference in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada… “It’s primarily a war on the unborn and on parents as the primary educators of their children. Sadly, the situation is made even worse by church leaders who have imbibed the spirit of the age, he added. (Find more coverage of Smeaton’s comments on Church leaders.)

As vice president of the International Right to Life Federation, Smeaton is national director of SPUC, founded in 1966 as the world’s first pro-life organization, since 1996. The group boasts 130 branches, 30,000 members and 30 full-time staff.

Countries such as Britain, Spain and Portugal are promoting abortion and contraception in the classroom without parental consent, he said in clear opposition to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The UDHR, adopted in 1948 in the wake of the great atrocities of World War II, insisted on the primacy of parents as the educators of their child, he noted, because of the Nazi’s use of the education system to indoctrinate children.

He also enlightened the hundreds gathered in Ottawa on the how the United Nations and governments in Europe and North America are campaigning against pro-life laws around the world, and attacking the right of doctors to refuse participation or referrals for abortion...

Smeaton said the pro-life movement must engage in “great campaigns” to promote conscientious objection and must make it very clear that abortion, euthanasia, IVF and human embryo research “are not examples of medical care.”… We are not imposing religious beliefs but expressing humanity’s consensus on the right to life… Smeaton described the awful campaign being waged in Ireland to topple the country’s historic and constitutional protection for the unborn…

He quoted Cardinal-designate Raymond Burke, head of the Vatican’s highest court … attack on life is based on an “erroneous” view of human sexuality that robs the conjugal act of its procreative nature. “The artificial separation of the unitive and procreative elements of sexual intercourse is not only the basis of contraception, it also the basis of early abortion and in vitro fertilization. It underpins today’s culture of death. .. Also Catholics widespread use of contraception “is draining the pro-life movement of the support of the community most likely to support the battle against abortion…

A Message from the Nat. Org. for Marriage (NOM)

A Message from the Nat. Org. for Marriage (NOM)

Ref. bbrown@nationformarriage.org – Nov. 18/10 – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, Nov. 23/10

“It’s 1970 for marriage!” [It’s a ref. to 1973 for abortion.] Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, who spoke these words, heads up the marriage efforts of the Catholic Church in America. [Congratulations] This week he was voted Vice-President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. (USCCB)…

“Saying today is like 1970 for marriage,” Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville, Ky., urged his fellow bishops Nov. 15 to look at the challenges to traditional marriage as if they could see Roe vs. Wade on the horizon… “He updated the bishops on various projects to reinforce the Church’s teaching about the sanctity of marriage, including the release of new multimedia materials and active work in battling legislative efforts to change legal definitions of marriage in order to legalize same-sex marriage…

Other bishops in the audience responded by calling for building new bridges to other Christian churches that respect life and marriage – especially evangelicals. This is a heartening development! At the same time, the USCCB elected a new president. If you are not Catholic, let me tell you: The Archbishop of New York has always been, by tradition, the closest thing to the head of Catholic Church in America… Archbishop Timothy Dolan … said something pretty interesting from a NOM perspective; in an interview with the National Catholic Register: “Robby George is one of my heroes!”

Princeton Prof. Robert George is the founding Chairman of the Board of the NOM… This is very good news, and not just for Catholics. To defend marriage today, people of good will of all races, creeds and colors need to come together.

Gay-marriage advocates are become increasingly aggressive and expansive about what their cause should entail for faith communities. The nation’s largest gay rights group, the “Human Rights Campaign,” recently issued a press release taking credit for changing the Mormon Church’s views on sex and marriage… “Opposes bullying and unkindness towards gay people – and other people too!”

This week a spokesman for the LDS Church issued a statement rebuking HRC’s “absurd” claims affirming that LDS teachings on gay sex – it’s wrong – and marriage – it’s a union of husband and wife – have not changed and will not change… Here I am on Fox News debating the Iowa judges election results with a rep from the very same group which absurdly called the Iowa’s people great victory a “thuggish””mugging.”

We cannot stand on the sidelines, or stay in our comfort zones. We have to have the COURAGE to reach across our differences to what we share in common – to defend the common good – the good of children, the truth about human sexual power and passion, and the urgent moral need to sacrifice to protect defend and renew marriage…

When Newsweek called me to do a prolife, I was pretty sure it was going to be a “hit” piece… Well the profile is out: “Gay Marriage’s Worst Opponent.”… NOM is emerging as the most feared organization of the gay left because we are smart, smiling, likeable – and we win!..

George H. Kubeck, There is a price President Brian Brown pays! His hate mail is divided into 2 categories. 1) - To the police 2) - to the labeled opposition. One riled caller threatened to hang him… another to donate a pipe bomb to his office… Please financially support NOM – 2029 K Street, NW. Suite 300, Washington, DC. 2000

Why Did Loretta Sanchez Win?

Why Did Loretta Sanchez Win?
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, November 20, 2010

Preface: “The courage to recognize the truth and the joy we take in it are fundamental marks of the Christian Faith. It is through them that we come to understand once more the missionary mandate of the Church… The truth that is bestowed on us does not come from ourselves. We cannot take any credit for it, but neither are we allowed to conceal it out of a false humility… our speech must not cause us to lapse into a relativism that rejects truth… God wills the salvation of all; he wants us to become ministers of salvation by bringing the light of truth into the world…as messengers of truth we can be co-workers for the redemption of the world.” Pope Benedict XVI, Meditation entry, Nov. 17th

It would be wise for all dioceses to have indirectly a panel discussion on this CINOP matter so that the truth can be arrived at. Otherwise, we will have e-mails like the following truths but maybe not the whole truth on the CINOP [Catholic-in-name-only politician.]

1.How close is the Catholic Church in California to the Democratic Party? They are too close. They are so close that they have been blindsided by non-Catholic liberal progressive ideas and principles. For example, if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was a Republican, she would have been excommunicated by the California Catholic bishops many months ago. But she is a D.!

2.What is the difference between Pro-Life and Peace and Justice. Pro-life focuses on absolute evils, like abortion, abortion on demand, partial-birth abortions, infanticide, assisted-suicide, euthanasia, same-sex marriage and embryonic stem-cell research etc. They are not negotiable and there is no compromise. Peace and Justice focuses on prudential and negotionable issues, particularly the option for the poor. It could be war, wages, housing, jobs, immigration etc.

3. Until 2005, I was on the task force with six others created by Bishop Jaime Soto. Our work was to establish a pro-life representative in each parish of the Diocese. We succeeded. The focus was to be on pro-life issues. Two years ago, It was a mistake to combine it with the prudential issues of peace and justice. It is called the Catholic Legislative Network. It failed to inform Catholic voters on the Calif. CINOP. [Jim Costa was defeated on political not values issues.]

4.If Christianity was outlawed, what evidence could be brought against you to prove you are a Christian? In California, my accusers would be CINO Governor Jerry Brown and Lieutenant Governor, the Mayor Newsom of San Francisco. Why? They know that I am an enemy of same-sex marriage. In fact, all of my accusers would be California’s CINO politicians including Pelosi, Sanchez, Correa and Solorio. “All of this is a badge of honor.”

5.Except for California, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut etc., the rest of the nation was victorious on pro-life. Thanks to the tremendous work of National Right to Life, Catholic Advocate, Susan B. Anthony List, Students for Life, Americans United for Life, Priests for Life, CatholicVoteAction.org, Focus on the Family, Coral Ridge Ministries etc. I believe more than 30 CINO politicians were defeated on Nov. 2nd. Well done! Please help California in 2012!

The Letters of Pier Giorgio Frassati - 1901-1925

The Letters of Pier Giorgio Frassati – 1901-1925

To Members of “Catholic Youth of Pollone” Italy: Sunday, July 29, 1923. Pier Giorgio gave this speech on the occasion of the blessing of the flag of which he was the godfather. [Here are excerpts of letters from Pier G. Frassati, “Letters to His Friends and Family”, St. Paul, Staten Island, New York, 2009] - - Young people of Pollone,

“Because this flag, young people, represents in a symbolic way a divine doctrine, given by Jesus Christ for our redemption: Young people, I see on your flag the motto “Prayer, Action and Sacrifice.” These are three words which summarize a very vast program whose implementation requires our energies and those of generations to come.

Prayer is the noble supplication which we lift up to the throne of God. It is the most efficient means to obtain from God the graces which we need, and especially the strength of preserving in these times, in which the hatred of the sons of the devil is breaking out violently against the sheep who are faithful to the fold. In recommending heartfelt pray to you, I am including all the practices of piety, first of all the most Holy Eucharist..

After having fortified our spirit by applying ourselves with great diligence to works of mercy, and after having intensely studied the questions which are troubling us, then we can throw ourselves into the apostolate. And there are 3 distinct apostolates.

First of all there is the apostolate of good example. We Catholics must strive to have our whole life guided by Christian moral law. Then there is the apostolate of charity by going among those who suffer and comforting them … because the Catholic religion is based on charity which is nothing other than the most perfect Love. Finally there is the apostolate of persuasion. This is the one of the most beautiful and necessary. Young people, approach your colleagues at work who live their lives away from the Church … Persuade those unfortunate people to follow the ways of God, strewn with many thorns, but also many roses.”

To Antonio Villani, Pollone, August 20, 31, 1923 “ I believe that life should be a continual preparation for the next life, because one doesn’t know the day or the hour of our passing.

“I’m very glad that you want to become a member of the great family of St. Dominic, where, as Dante says, “You grow fat if you don’t rant and rave.” The obligations are very small otherwise you must know that I wouldn’t be able to belong to and order that required a lot.

When the Saint started the third order he instituted it as an army to do battle against heretics and thus it has very strict rules closely following the ancient rule of the first order, but now that it has been modernized there are no traces left of the strict obligations. We need to recite the Dominican Office of Our Lady of the Rosary every day. But if you deliberately omit this for one day, or for a few days you don’t commit a mortal sin.

I would be very pleased if you take the name of Fra Girolamo, not because it is the name I have as the son of St. Dominic, but because it recalls a figure who is dear to me and certainly to you as well, since you share my feelings against corrupt morals, Girolamo Savonarola, whose name I most unworthily bear… Think about and then write to me with your ideas regarding this…”

To Costantino Guardia Riva, Turin, October 24, 1923 –“I am really upset that you hung the Flag – which so many times, as unworthy as I am, I have carried in religious procession – from the balcony in honor of a man [Mussolini] who undoes works of mercy, who doesn’t keep the fascists under control but even allows them to kill Ministers of God like Father Minzoni etc.. allows them to do other filthy things and then tries to cover up their misdeeds by putting the Crucifix in the Schools, etc…” George H. WHY DID JUDEO-CHRISTIAN VALUES LOSE IN THE 47TH?

Why Did Christian-Judeo Values Lose in the 47th?
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Why did Loretta Sanchez win in the 47th Congressional District? Why did normal Judeo-Christian Values of Life, Marriage and Family lose? HERE IS ONE RESPONSE! THERE ARE OTHERS!

THE NAME OF THIS YEAR’S “CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (CCHD)” COLLECTION HAS BEEN CHANGED TO “NATIONAL NEEDS” IN THE DIOCESE OF ORANGE.

Attention pro-life friends, Let’s join with the American Life League (ALL) in the effort to reform CCHD by raising the awareness of Catholic parishioners about the funding of groups that promote abortion and the violation of Catholic teaching. 13 bishops nationwide have cancelled this collection this year.

WHY? WATCH AMERICAN LIFE LEAGUE’S 2 BRIEF VIDEOS ON THE TOPIC AND REAL CATHOLIC VIDEO TO SEE THE TRUTH FOR YOURSELF.
American Life League reports www.all.org/cchd and then link to the 45 page report sent to EVERY ordinary in the U.S. and to EVERY diocesan pro-life director on June 1, 2010.

Real Catholic TV at “CCHD-ALINSKY” http://www.realcatholictv.com/cia/01cchd/ - This is a full explanation of the USCCB, CCHD and the history – and who some of the players are.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=9Q3i9jOKGWI (6 minute video) – Pro-abortion

Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez with Orange County Congregations Community Organization (OCCCO) at St. Callistus, Garden Grove. They called it a prayer vigil. Watch it and decide for yourself.

The 1 hr. and 30 minute event was a campaign rally to which ONLY pro-abortion Sanchez was invited (August of last year). She was promoted on the OCCCO advertising flyer as the “Guest of Honor” at St. Callistus Church in Garden Grove. Bishop Luong was in attendance throughout the rally. {Note he was the director representative of Bishop Brown.} OCCCO received another grant in August 2010 from the diocese of Orange. {This time the directed representative for the grant was Bishop Flores}. OCCCO is also supported by the National CCCHD collection from the USCCB, all with the approval of Bishop Brown who keeps 25% of the annual collection for local distribution.

Now reference American Life League article (October 27, 2010) http://www.all/article.php?id=13062 - “… it is now clear that the CCHD will most likely not release its 2010 grantee list in time for this year’s November collection… The CCHD might affirm its commitment to the ‘Review and Renewal” effort by delaying the collection until the grantee list is released and full transparency is achieved this year. Also we look forward to the CCHD addressing the question of the additional 61 GRANTEES involved in the intrinsically immoral activities. What’s the bottom line? PLEASE DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THIS UP-COMING COLLECTION (CCHD NOR NATIONAL NEEDS) SCHEDULED FOR THIS SUNDAY, NOV. 21ST, 2010.

George H. Kubeck, for the last several years we have contributed $10. Monthly to ALL. Do you remember the millions of post cards sent to President Obama to stop the FOCA Bill? Loretta Sanchez was A SPONSOR OF FOCA!

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati - (1901-1925)

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati – (1901-1925)

Pier Giorgio is a model for the young and the old; appropriately in today’s America. (Ref. Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati – An Ordinary Christian, by Maria Di Lorenzo, translated by R. Ventresca, Pauline Books, Boston 2004)

“On May 22, 1922, at the age of twenty-one, Pier Giorgio was received into the Third Order Dominicans and took the name, Girolamo, in honor of Savonarola, a man he greatly admired. Savonarola was a Dominican priest who had been burned at the stake in 1498 for his fiery preaching against the widespread corruption in the Church and society.

Many university organizations and periodicals of the early twentieth century saw Savonarola as a model of coherence and radical commitment. Some of the Dominican fathers tried to convince Pier Giorgio to choose the name of another canonized or beatified member of the Order. But Pier Giorgio refused to budge.

The story of Savonarola and his energetic struggle against the tyranny of the Medici family fascinated Pier Giorgio, and after becoming a member of the Third Order, he began signing his letters, fra Girolamo. To Antonio Villani, who was also interested in the Dominicans, Pier Giorgio wrote, “I am a fervent admirer of this friar, who died as a saint at the stake. In becoming a tertiary, I wanted to take him as a model, but I am far from being like him.”

Pier Giorgio’s decision to make this commitment matured over the course of a few years. From the time he first encountered Dominican spirituality in 1918, Pier Giorgio had the time and opportunity to discern his calling to the life of a lay Dominican. In the Order, he found the way to serve as a witness to the truth in the spirit of that great Spanish saint, Dominic de Guzman, who founded the Order of Preachers (or Dominicans as they came to be more commonly known) in 1215.

In 1923, deeply moved and with tears streaming down his face, Pier Giorgio professed final vows in the Chapel of Our lady of Grace in Turin’s Church of St. Dominic, with Father Robotti as his sponsor. Recalling his visit to Turin in 1922 to celebrate the feast of St. Dominic, Father Martino Stanislao Gillet, the superior general of the Dominicans at the time, remembered the impression made on him by the small group of university students who had entered as lay members of the Order.

“They were all quite nice, but one in particular really caught my attention as having a special charm. He radiated such kindness that people were drawn to him. His name was Pier Giorgio Frassati. Pier Giorgio was one of that select group of young people that you find in every university these days, individual who have a longing for the supernatural, the true sign of an apostle. For him, religion was always a way of life, it was both light and strength, which illuminated and animated all human activity. Nothing was beyond its grasp and, at the same time, it has the power to broaden everything in life.

Pier Giorgio had only time enough to be a student in his short life, but it clear even then what kind of a man he would have been. Not quite an intellectual - that is, someone who dedicated his life to his own philosophy – but rather a man of action, determined to dedicate his philosophy to serving life.”

… A devout follower of St. Dominic, Pier Giorgio carried the rosary in his jacket pocket and would take it out at any place, any time, to pray. Pointing to his rosary one day, Pier Giorgio remarked, “I carry my testament in my pocket.” P. 51-3

Walking in the Footsteps

Walking in the Footsteps
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, November 13, 2010

You can’t go wrong walking in the footsteps of either Popes John Paul II or Benedict XVI. Particularly in matters pertaining to life, family and marriage there is wisdom. Let’s check out other wisdom just during this past week in Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger’s book, “Co-Workers of the Truth” Meditations for Every Day of the Year, Ignatius Press, 1992.

“The very existence of heaven depends on the fact that Jesus Christ, as God, is man and has given human existence a place in the existence of God himself (cf. Rahner, Shriften II, p. 221). One is in heaven and to the degree one is in Christ, where one finds the true location of one’s existence as a human being in the existence of God himself. Heaven is, then, primarily a personal reality. It remains forever stamped by the historical origin in the Easter mystery of death and Resurrection.” Nov. 5th

“Humanity needs eternity; every other hope is too short for it. And it is not true that eternity robs humanity of time, impoverishes it, and makes it unimportant. On the contrary, only eternity can give man time. If a person’s death is worthless, then his life is worthless too… A psychologist pointed out … that the embezzled heaven is the crucial sickness of earth: because people forget heaven, the earth becomes empty and men become ill. If we promise paradise to later generations but only nothingness, only death, to each individual, then we have promised nothing to anyone… A present that is only present and has no future has no hope. The nothingness that follows it also pollutes the present and makes it unbearable. Only eternity can unite present and future… Those who have talked us out of our belief in heaven, or would like to talk us out of it, have not given us the earth in exchange but have made it desolate … have covered it with darkness. We must find once more the courage to believe in eternal life with all our heart. Then we shall have the courage to love the earth and to work at building its future. Let us dare to believe once more in eternal life, to live for eternal life. We shall see how life automatically becomes richer, greater, more free & less cramped.” Nov. 10

“Catechesis must return to being not one opinion among others, but a certainty that draws on the faith of the Church, the contents … exceed the common view… the concept of “eternal life” is scarcely mentioned in a relatively large part of modern catechesis … only in reference of how to postpone its arrival or how to lessen its accompanying circumstances. Since many Christians, moreover, have lost their eschatological sense, death is surrounded by silence, by anxiety, or by an attempt to relegate it to the ranks of the trivial. For centuries, the Church has taught us to pray that death will not take us by surprise, that we will be given time to prepare for it; now a sudden death is looked upon as a blessing. But not to accept and respect death is not to accept and respect life itself.” Nov.12th

Three Actions Items

Three Action Items
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, November 9, 2010

First:
A call upon the Democratic Party boss to apologize or resign for the following remarks with reference to 405/605 Tea Party Patriots and other Tea Party Groups in Orange County:

This is Martin Wisckol’s article in the Buzz of the “Orange County Register”, Nov. 8/10 – “The Chairmen of the two major parties jousted good-naturedly over vermicelli and egg rolls on Election Day, with Democratic Party Boss Frank Barbaro jabbing his counterpart over efforts to welcome Tea Partiers in the GOP. “ mwisckol@ocregister.com

“I don’t know how you’re able to control them,” Barabaro told Scott Baugh. “How are you going to run the country when your supporters are anarchist? You can have them. They’re going to be the downfall of the Republican Party. The tea baggers I know are crazy.”

To which GOP boss Baugh replied with a smile, “Theirs is nothing wrong with robust debate.”

Second:
A call upon Pro-Marriage and Life groups in Orange County to organize: Not only is California financially bankrupt but it is also spiritually and morally bankrupt with our new Governor Jerry Brown, and Lieutenant Governor Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco. These two are enemies of normal marriage and are fighting to undo Proposition 8 in California. There is also the outrageous & shameful scandal that they are Catholic-in- name only politicians. (CINOPs)

Third:

On the subject of robust debate come and listen to speakers Eric Golub, Political Humorist, U.S. Congressmen Dana Rohrbacher and Ed Royce, and Brad Dacus, Attorney @ Pacific Justice Institute: Where? 405/605 TEA PARTY PATRIOTS – VICTORY CELEBRATION MEETING

St. Paul to the California CINOP

St. Paul to the California CINOP
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, November 5, 2010

Reference: Paul in Athens - Act. 17: 16-34

“While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was deeply troubled by all the idols he saw everywhere in the city… He also had a debate with some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers… Then they took him to the Council of Philosophers. “Come and tell us more about this new religion,” they said…

“He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs. He himself gives life and breadth to everything, and he satisfies every need there is. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand which should rise and fall and he determined their boundaries.

“His purpose in all of this was that the nations should seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him – though he is not far from anyone of us. For in him we live and move and exist. As one of your own poets says, “WE ARE HIS OFFSPRING.” And since this is true we shouldn’t think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone.

“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things, but now he commands everyone everywhere to turn away from idols and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead. When they heard Paul speak of the resurrection of a person who had been dead, some laughed, but others said, “We want to hear more about this later…”

Attention: Governor Jerry Brown, Lieutenant Governor Mayor Gavin Newsom (San Francisco). Congress Repress:, Mike Thompson District 1, George Miller 7, Nancy Pelosi 8, Jackie Speier 12, Anna Eshoo 14, Dennis Cardoza 18, Xavier Becerra 31, Lucille Roybal 34, Grace Napolitano 38, Linda Sanchez 39, Joe Baca 43, Loretta Sanchez; and State Assembly 69, Jose Solorio, State Senator Lou Correa 34.

George H. Kubeck, P.S. It is a tragedy and atrocious scandal for California to be led by unprincipled CINO politicians. They have repudiated natural law, reason and their precious Catholic Faith in their support of abortion on demand, same-sex marriage, and embryonic stem-cell research. They did this for the price of money, false honor and prestige and that beautiful house and car. They are at war with the concept of marriage between a man and a woman.

Couple the above with the departing dysfunctional CINO and RINO Gov. Arnold and his proposition 23 which kill job creation in California. We are punished with bankrupt economic, intellectual and moral ideas of the leadership.

BUT WAIT! THE GOOD NEWS IN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY IS UNBELIEVABLE. In Iowa 3 Supreme Court Justices were recalled because they prostituted the Constitution on Marriage. ALSO, I believe that most of the 62 Democratic Congressional losses were CINO Politicians. Thanks be to God!

Character and Values are Important

Character and Values are Important
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010

PUBLIC NOTICE: - CINOPSBEGONE WILL GO ON VACATION IN NOVEMBER. ONLY A FEW E-MAILS (3 or4) WILL BE SENT TO YOU. ALL OTHERS WILL BE POSTED ON THE BLOG ONLY. THANKS FOR PUTTING UP WITH ALL E-MAILS.

MANY THANKS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD NEWSPAPER GROUP FOR PUBLISHING THE FOLLOWING LETTER IN THE WESMINSTER JOURNAL, OCT. 28TH, ANAHEIM INDEPENDENT, Oct. 27th, AND GARDEN GROVE PAPER, OCT. 27TH IN THE LETTERS FROM READERS SECTION:

“What drove me up the wall {in Congressional candidate Loretta Sanchez’s recent debate with Van Tran} was the following :”{ Sanchez} wore the colors of the former flag of South Vietnam, a symbol of freedom in the Vietnamese-American community: a red blazer over a yellow shirt” (according to an OC Register article dated Oct. 14).

May I share with you two news items from 43 years ago concerning Loretta Sanchez’s Democratic Party and its role in undermining freedom in the Vietnam War?

“News Item # 1: A broadcast by Premier Phan Van Dong of North Vietnam describing antiwar protesters as companions-in-arms: “The Vietnamese people thank their friends in America and wish them great success in their mounting movement,” Don said (according to an Associated Press article dated Oct. 21, 1967) This statement was broadcast from Hanoi on the eve of a Washington rally of groups calling for quick peace. The official Vietnam News Agency quoted the premier as telling a visiting American group … there was solidarity between the Vietnamese and American peoples…

“New Item # 2: Reds’ role claimed in peace march: Washington House Republican leader Gerald R. Ford said {on Nov. 22, 1967} the White House had a secret report showing that Communists organized the Oct. 21 {1967} peace march on the Pentagon… Ford said he … feared release of the report would unleash a “wave of McCarthyism”, saying “I believe the American people are more mature than that”

“Recall the antiwar propaganda by the New York Times during the Iraq War. With their kind of news reporting during World War II, we would have lost the war to Nazi Germany. The mainstream media is kaput.

“Sanchez also used a prayer vigil at St. Callistus Catholic Church in Garden Grove to focus on {the healthcare debate}, according an Aug. 3 article in the OC Register.

It was wrong to use a prayer vigil … to slam five other Orange County representatives for not supporting Obama’s healthcare plan. The affair was called a prayer vigil, but it turned out to a political meeting to shame Republicans. She had the gall to use the Catholic Church hall for political purposes. What she could have done was challenge each representative in a public debate.

“In Congress, Sanchez is one of the sponsors of the FOCA Bill and has voted against the Catholic positions on the 1) Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, 2) Marriage Amendment Act, 3) Child Interstate Notification, 4) Abortion in military medical facilities, 5) Coercive Abortion/United Nations Population Fund, 6) Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act, 7) Partial-Birth Abortion and 8) Unborn Victims of Violence Act.

“If you can’t trust a person with their religion, how can you trust them with their politics? One of the major characteristics of a Catholic-in-name-only is to appear in religious settings. Sometimes they show pictures of their baptism and confirmation. Sanchez’s has {exploited} the ideas of {Catholicism} with her voting record … and has used it for electioneering purposes. “ George H. A Two-Edged Sword Hangs Over California

A Two-Edged Sword Hangs over California
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, October 30, 2010

Refer also to “Texans are Smarter than Californians”, Fri. July 10, 2009 on the blog:

One sword is economic ignorance and the other is intellectual and moral corruption. Sadly, we have a mostly uniformed electorate voting on Tuesday. But miracles do happen. Most of our MSM – Main Stream Media is brain dead. It is corrupt left-agenda driven with honest journalism dead.

There is a glimmer of hope if voters can understand the following excerpts in the message from the editorial of the Orange County Register, California can ‘t touch Texas , Wed., Oct. 27th, 2010

“A study two years ago found that California substantially lagged behind Texas economically, based on the two states taxes, regulatory policies and government spending. That study performed by the Texas Public Policy Foundation, recently was updated. Not only does California continue to lag but, by comparison, it “has become even less competitive than before,” the newer study concludes…

“It is little wonder that the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports Texas created 119,000 new jobs from August 2009 to August 2010, more than half those created nationwide, while California lost 112,000 during the same period. If Californians still have trouble understanding why so many of our former neighbors have gone to Texas, this scorecard spells out in painful detail, said Sally C. Pipes, president of Pacific Research Institute, a free-market, nonprofit think tank based in San Francisco. We agree with Ms. Pipes, who concludes that, “we must dramatically overhaul our tax and regulatory policies if the Golden State is ever to regain its former luster.”

Is there anyone who believes that the above can be done by electing Attorney General Jerry Brown as Governor of California? He is totally unqualified in the economics of creating jobs and having businesses locating in California. My personal experience with him as Governor was when he signed the Rodda law S.B. 160 in 1975-6. This law destroyed the integrity and independence of my 23-year public school teacher profession. It politicized the teachers and enacted industrial type unionism. This has no place in the public sector. Should you vote for Jerry Brown, California will become to the rest of the nation what Greece is to the European countries? “I will vote for Meg Whitman.”

It is spending and liberal progressive democratic economics that has bankrupted California. And that’s it! The unemployment in California is much more than 12%. What is it among our black and Hispanic citizens? I have never heard the Main Stream Media inform us! Shame on them!

Concerning the moral and intellectual side of the sword, the California Democratic Party must realize that we are a pro-life center right nation. For them to hold on to the promotion of abortion on demand, same-sex marriage and embryonic stem-cell research etc. is suicidal. And for this fake Catholic-label Adolf-faced Jerry Brown to be their leader is a scandal and atrocious insult to the integrity of Catholic religious beliefs in California and throughout the nation.

Finally, concerning the re-election of Barbara Boxer, it will depend on how many so-called Catholic voters she will again dupe. In 2004, she was reelected with the Catholic vote. Do you remember she was the staunch leader of the FOCA BILL in the Senate? “I will vote Carly Fiorina!” George H. Kubeck

A Crash Course on Politics in America
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010

“Resplendent and unfading is Wisdom, and she is readily perceived by those who love her. She hastens to make herself known in anticipation of men’s desires; he who watches for her at dawn shall not be disappointed, for he shall find her sitting by his gate… A great number of wise men is a safety of the world, and prudent king, the stability of his people; so take instruction from words, to your profit. Book of Wisdom, 6:1-25

You are unsure of whom to vote for. You are fed up with the election propaganda sent to you via mail, television and radio. What should you do? May I share with you a person that focuses on clarity and values?

You may disagree with him but check him out on “Prager University” via Google. It reads: Give us 5 minutes and we’ll give you a semester. Start with “The American Trinity.” It focuses on the uniqueness of America. There are 3 things and you find them on every coin.

Dennis Prager is a best-selling author and has a nationally syndicated radio talk show.* You can also sign up for the Dennis Prager newsletter. Get smart in 5 minutes. Read the one that is dated, Tuesday, Oct. 26th “This is a referendum not an election.”

Most of us don’t bother or care about politics until election time. You would hate to vote for someone who dupes you and does violence to your values. Dennis Prager is top notch in clarity and in some ways like my favorite Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. You can’t win over Alex on issues relating to common sense and reason. Here is one of Dennis Prager’s mottos.
