Progressivism Defined

Progressivism Defined
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, April 29, 2010

Progressivism:
Hostile to U.S. Constitution ideas of individual freedom, belief in God, opposed to Free Market System, against the rule of law, taxing the wealthy to “spread the wealth around”, regulation of businesses. The Preamble and Declaration of Independence is to be avoided because of the ideas of belief in God, freedom, individual liberty. U.S. Constitution puts restraints on liberal ideas, so avoid reading the document because the founders were “racist white men.” This movement embraces the philosophy of Marxist/socialism to bring about social, economic and political change … Foundation of Liberty.

Progressives are in both the Democratic and Republican Parties:

Republican President Teddy Roosevelt 1901-09: Expanded the influence and power of the executive office, and became rather than Congress or the political parties, the center of the American political arena … Unlike Washington and Jefferson, who believed the role of the federal government was limited and that their authority was limited only to that delegated by the Constitution, he successfully launched the progressive era. He believed that the federal branch of government was responsible to lead the nation. Foundation of Liberty

Democratic President Woodrow Wilson, 1913-21, changed history, who as a progressive, developed a program of progressive reform to include Federal income taxes. The Federal Reserve Act, helped in building a future new world order, he was a racist by separating the races in WW1’s armed services and removed the small number of blacks working in government services. GlenBeck 1-10 He believed, as progressive socialist minded people, that the few “experts” were more capable of governing than the masses. Foundation of Liberty

Some But, Not All Progressives Today And In The Past:

John McCain. “”I like what Teddy Roosevelt, “a progressive, said, “Talk softly, but carry a big stick.” Actual Roosevelt quote. “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”

President Obama. “To my progressive friends and to my Republican friends, let’s work together.” 9-9-09 speech. Hilary Clinton. “I consider myself … a modern American progressive… RealClearPolitics 5-29-97 Margaret Sanger. Planned Parenthood-Eugenics, believed that “some” needed to be eliminated. Franklin D. Roosevelt – used government to impose progressive ideas, “Social Security”, etc.

John Dewey – regarded as the “Father of Modern Education”, changed the meaning of “liberal” – liberty of the individual, small government, maximum freedom according to the Declaration of Independence was hi-jacked by him in the early 20th century. Glen Beck.com

Other Progressive Groups in Congress:

Congressional Progressive Caucus (Dems) – Ca. Rep. Barbara Lee, Chair; Ca. Co-chair 82 members – Congressional Black Caucus – Ca. Rep. Barbara Lee, Chair (CPC); 4 Ca members: Reps. Laura Richardson (CPC); Maxine Walters (CPC); and Diane Watson (CPC) –
Congressional Hispanic Caucus – Rep. Nydia Velasquez, Chair (CPC); 1st V-Chair Rep. Charles A. Gonzalez, 2nd V-Chair, Ruben Hinojosa- 2 CA members: Rep. Xavier Becerra (CPC) and Rep. Linda Sanchez (CPC) Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus – 10 Ca members …

Countering the Assault on Marriage
Justice is truth in action. www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Regaining the Offense on Marriage – Training/Formation Class

Regaining the Offense on MARRIAGE: It is time to proactively advocate for the rights and interests of children to know and be cared for by a mother and father in a family. That is the mission of Catholics for the Common Good’s “Stand with Children Project.”

A well-organized and well-financed campaign of intimidation has been advocating for “what is mine” at the expense of children and religious freedom over the last 40 years. It is having wide-ranging consequences. Without voter consent, same-sex “marriage” is now legal in five states and our nation’s capitol.

When the new same-sex “marriage” law took effect in Washington, D.C., Catholic Charities was forced to stop providing foster care and adoption services to children so it could remain faithful to the truth of Catholic teaching about marriage. Under the new law, faith-based charitable organizations that have contracts with the city must deny the reality of marriage as part of God’s creation and recognize same-sex “marriage” in its politics or become unqualified to serve the poor. To solve the problem, Catholic Charities was forced to discontinue healthcare benefits for spouses of their employees rather that recognize same-sex “marriage.”

In a Federal Courtroom in San Francisco, for the first time in history, a judge permitted sections of Catholic Magisterial teaching to be enforced into evidence as examples of bigotry and discrimination against homosexuals. Marriage and the motivation of the 7 million individual voters who supported California’s Prop. 8 are on trial in a case that could have national ramifications.

California law prohibits viewpoint discrimination in public schools making it discriminatory to teach that marriage between a man and a woman provides any unique benefit to children or society. This in spite of a recent survey showing that 56% of high school seniors believe that having children outside of marriage is a worthwhile lifestyle or does not impact anyone else. {This is absolutely sick.ghk} Every day, 40% of children are born to unmarried mothers.

This is a crisis that demands justice. It is time to overturn “what is mine” private interest public policies, and restore a culture that promotes the centrality and integrity of marriage …

Daily, our opponents are recruiting and training high school and college students to become advocates for same-sex “marriage.” The Gay Straight Alliance Network in California brags that they have established 750 clubs in California high schools and have trained over 10,000 student activists and organizers. They claim to have influenced over 1.1 million students in the last decade…

PLAN TO ATTEND THE LONG BEACH CLASS ON SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2010 AT HOLY INNOCENTS PARISH – 8:30 – 4:30 PM. The cost is $30.00. For info (213) 291-3580 – kathleen@ccgaction.org – There are other classes in San Fernando Valley, San Bernadino, Riverside, Bakersfield, San Diego, L.A., Fremont...

The Great Pretend! This Scandal and Shame!

The Great Pretend! This Scandal and Shame!
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, April 24, 2010

Truth is spoken here and along with it some tough love. It’s like someone showing up at Mass with a dunce hat and we pretend that he is not wearing one. And when he or she arrives in heaven on judgment day, the CINOP has a serious problem. But before he or she gets there, let’s give the CINOP some time to reflect after his decisive defeat in the November elections of 2010. There will be quite a number of them. When you see her around Church between now and November there are three words you can speak or show him in a sign – SHAME ON YOU! Think of Pelosi and the Sanchez girls.

What’s the difference between a politician who promotes fornication, adultery, and pornography and one who as a Catholic-label politician promotes partial-birth abortion {infanticide}, gay-marriage and embryonic stem-cell research? There isn’t any.

We had 84 CINO politicians vote for the Obama-Pelosi Health Care Bill which promotes abortion coverage etc. There were 9 so-called pro-life Catholic Democratic congressmen who voted against the bill. {For fairness and balance, all 43 Catholic-label Republican Congresspersons voted against the health care bill} I wonder how many of the nine were the 5 so-called pro-life Democrats that Rahm Emanuel helped to elect in the 2006 Congressional elections. That was the great CATHOLIC CON OPERATION organized by Catholics United and Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good. They were also successful in the presidential election of 2008. They all have that arrogant Obama smartness in their new religion of secular humanism. That CON OPERATION is still around.

What is particularly painful and shameful in the passage of the health care bill are the women and the nuns who came out in support of this abortion-mandate health-care bill. Here are the seven in the California Congressional delegation. Congresswomen Anna Eshoo, Grace Napolitano, Nancy Pelosi, Lucille Roybal-Allard, Linda and Loretta Sanchez, and Diane Watson. They have no shame.

“Catholic consecrated religious who openly dissent from the authority of Rome and the Church’s teaching on life are “an absurdity of the most tragic kind” and should cease identifying themselves as Catholic, said Archbishop Raymond Burke, the head of Rome’s Apostolic Signatura. {He was referring to Sr. Carol Keenan, president of the Catholic Health Association, as well as Network a pro-abortion lobby of U.S. nuns.} - Mundelein, Illinois, April 12, 2010 – LifeSiteNews.com – K. Gilbert

Have you ever wondered why 10% of the U.S. population is ex-Catholic? They have either lost their faith or not educated in it. Maybe, some ex-Catholics have lost their faith by the examples of Catholic-label politicians in the public square.

Nevertheless and thanks to Obama, we are today a center-right nation with a pro-life national majority. {40% -conservative; 36% -moderate: and 21%-liberal; 60 to 70% were opposed to abortion coverage in the health care bill.} Now our vote in November is to KILL the health care bill.

The La Habra Tea Party

The La Habra Tea Party
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone – Thursday, April 22, 2010

This is our fourth Tea Party Event in Orange County. My wife, Michaelene took some pictures of the four corners at Beach Boulevard and Firestone Ave. on Thursday, April 15th Income Tax Day, 5 -7 P.M. On the way to the protest and public education event we saw MecKi with her sign. “NO MORE TAXES” on the right corner as we arrived about 5:30. We stayed until 6:40 PM. There were about 150 enthused advocates for Constitutional government policies and traditional American values.

There was a lot of honking from truck drivers and the cars driving by. May I share with you some of the signs? A very young lady was crossing the street back and forth. “STOP SPENDING MY MONEY, I HAVEN’T EVEN EARNED IT YET” There was a senior couple beside us with “NO TO TAXES AND HEALTHCARE COVERAGE.” Here are several others.

“GIVE ME LIBERTY – YOU KEEP THE CHANGE” – “ “LIBERTY NOT TYRANNY” – “TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY” “WE’RE NOT THE PARTY OF NO – WE’RE THE PARTY OF HELL NO!!!” “CANNOT LIFT WAGE EARNER – PULLING DOWN WAGE PAYER”

Our signs included the following: “I HAD ENOUGH” – “REGIME CHANGE” “NO!NO!NO! DEFICIT SPENDING – BIG GOVERNMENT – ABORTION MANDATE HEALTH CARE” {ON THE OTHER SIDE NOT SHOWING “DOWN WITH CINO POLITICIANS – PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTIONS”}

“VOTE AGAINST THE CANDIDATES AND ISSUES THAT HOLLYWOOD & MEDIA “ELITE” SUPPORT – COMMON SENSE” {ON THE OTHER SIDE NOT SHOWING “DOWN WITH CINO POLITICIANS – NANCY PELOSI – LORETTA SANCHEZ”}

In closing, one of the best things that has happened to America and the pro-life, pro-family and pro-marriage movements are the Tea Parties throughout the nation. Personally, it’s a bonanza - dream come true for this blog “cinops be gone” which is dedicated to the exposure of Catholic in name only politicians and their removal from office. {Bart Stupak, Patrick Kennedy, Chris Dodd not running} There were 84 pro-abortion Catholic Democratic label politicians who voted for the abortion expansion health care bill. They are the Achilles Heel of the Democratic Party, a scandal and a shame.

There are entities that are trying to smear the Tea Party Movement with the charge of racism. For example, the New York Times which is already a moral and intellectually corrupt newspaper and is on the way to financial bankruptcy. With a boycott of their advertisers, this is a persuasive and worthy goal. The charge of racism can be countered with our signs of “Down with Racism and the Genocide of Black Americans.” The yearly abortions of Black Americans are almost equal to the number of live births. Yes, we have the tragic silence of the Black Democratic Party leadership in America.

However, where are you, CINO politicians (N.Y.) Charlie Rangel and (L.A.) Dianne Watson? You are stool pigeons for NARAL and PLANNED PARENTHOOD. THIS IS A SCANDAL! SHAME ON YOU!

George H. Kubeck The next tea party meeting is at St. Isidore’s Hall in Los Alamitos, Monday, May 10th, 7 P.M.

VI. Communist Regimes: Terror and Atrocities

“Joseph Stalin, Soviet dictator from 1924 until his death in 1953, became the symbol of communist cruelty. He was responsible for millions of deaths. Since people everywhere have rejected Communism, its fanatic promoters have resorted to fraud, tricks and violence to impose it. Dictatorship has been a means to maintain unwilling populations submissive to that unnatural and egalitarian system. (Socialism)

“In Spain, after the fall of the monarchy in 1931, and especially during the Civil War ((1936-1939), the communists perpetuated unspeakable atrocities against the Church: 11 bishops, more than 6,000 priests, countless numbers of religious and laity were killed in the cruelest ways…

“The Vietnam War was fought to prevent Vietnam from falling under Communism. Political influences, however, prevented the United States Armed Forces from winning; a peace treaty was imposed and the country was abandoned to Communism…

VII. Is Communism Dead?

“We see … application of Communist principles. “+ In schools, students are taught the doctrine of evolution as scientific dogma. + The presence of monuments to the Ten Commandments and the invocation of God are forbidden in classrooms… + A climate of “class struggle” permeates relationships between employers and employees, professors and students, parents and children and so on, as well as between rich and poor nations. + Today’s society deprives man of his individuality: a real dictatorship of the media and of powerful lobbies imposes the adoption of “political correctness” behavior and inhibits any reaction against unbridled permissiveness.

“+ Forces imbued with an egalitarian metaphysics seek to eliminate any inequality, be it in the family, society or the Church. +Laws equating homosexual unions with marriage, and promoting abortions and euthanasia are approved everywhere. + The ever-growing State interference in children’s education … + Moral relativism in fashions, cinema and television is widespread…

Fatima and the Cultural War

“We are in the middle of an unprecedented cultural war in which an aggressive and ideological secularism aims to destroy all that is Christian in our culture and institutions. Through judicial activism, orchestrated media campaigns and the entertainment industry, all our basic Christian values are contested, ridiculed, disdained, blasphemed, ruined and destroyed…

The Fight for Marriage

The Fight for Marriage
Justice is truth in action. www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, April 16, 2010

The fight for marriage is like the fight for common sense. Common sense is not very popular. It’s unbelievable. A poll taken in California within the past week showed that same-sex marriage has a higher approval rating than marriage. This is crazy. You can’t change the definition of marriage.

It is a tragedy that the approval rating came from a large number of Christians almost 40% of those who call themselves Catholics who think same-sex marriage is OK with them. Well it is not OK with God, our Catholic Faith and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Let’s have some common sense and natural law from Publication No. 5-626 – USSCB Publish. – “Between Man and Woman:” Questions and Answers about Marriage and Same-Sex Unions - 800-235-8722. What follows are selected excerpts which most homosexuals themselves would agree with.

“# 1 – Marriage, as instituted by God, is a faithful, exclusive, lifelong union of a man and a woman joined in an intimate community of life and love. They commit themselves completely to each other and to the wondrous responsibility of bringing children into the world and caring for them…

“# 2 – Marriage comes from the loving hand of God, who fashioned both male and female in the divine image of God (see Gn 1:27). A man “leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them one body” (Gn 2:24)… # 3 – The natural structure of human sexuality makes men and woman complementary partners for the transmission of human life. Only a union of male and female can express the sexual complementary willed by God for marriage…

“#4 – Why is same-sex union not equivalent to a marriage? For several reasons a same-sex union contradicts the nature of marriage. It is not based on the natural complementary of male and female; it cannot cooperate with God to create new life; and the natural purpose of sexual union cannot be achieved by a same-sex union. Therefore, it is wrong to equate their relationship to a marriage… #5 – Across times, cultures, and very different religious beliefs, marriage is the foundation of the family. The family in turn is the basic unit of society. Thus, marriage is a personal relationship with public significance.

“#6 – It is not unjust to deny legal status to same-sex unions because marriage and same-sex unions are essentially different realities. In fact, justice requires society to do so… The “Catechism of the Catholic Church” urges that homosexual person “be accepted with respect, compassion and sensitivity”( no. 2358). It encourages chaste friendships… #7 – The state has an obligation to promote the family, which rooted in marriage… Some benefits currently sought by persons in homosexual unions can already be obtained without regard to marital status… # 8 – There is no separation between one’s faith and life in either public or private realms. All Catholics should act on their beliefs with a well-formed conscience based on Sacred Scripture and Tradition...

George H. Kubeck, It is a fact and tragedy that the U.S. CINO politicians are Trojan horses for same-sex marriage.

Why we have a Tea Party Movement?

Why we have a Tea Party Movement?
Justice is truth in action. – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, April 15, 2010

# 1 – As a legal immigrant (Canada), I did not come to America to be a European. I came to be an American. We have a Constitution and great Founding Fathers.

#2 – Our nation’s motto is “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” It is not “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.” {Check out the blog – Dennis Prager University}

#3 - If President Barack Obama closes his heart to the Constitution, we have a duty to vote him out of office in 2012. He can then take his socialist Czars, academics and progressive politicians and run for office in one of the European countries of his choice. Also, Obamacare will never see the light of day.

#4- The Tea Party Movement is denigrated by the elite and new media in the same manner that the pro-life, pro-family, pro-marriage movements have been for decades.

#5- Thank you Anita Boyd of Newport Coast for your classic letter in the Orange County Register, April 14, 2010 – “Tea Party Patriots are United by Justified Concerns.”

“I am still trying to figure out the reason for the article, “Tea Party faces varied agendas,” News, April 11. Writer Martin Wisckol suggests that we are supposed to be happy (or at least complacent) because income taxes dropped slightly this past year, but fails to associate the decline in personal income and the failure of businesses at a rate of that approaching that of the Great Depression. He then suggests that “federal bailouts, stimulus packages and other policies spurred people … to action.”

“Yet, there is no mention of the fact that in 2010 the Office of Management and Budget estimates that the federal government will take in 2.1 trillion in revenue but spend 3.7 trillion, resulting in a $1.6 trillion deficit, adding to the deficit for 2009, reported by the Congressional Budget Office … Nor was it mentioned that 47% of Americans pay no federal income taxes and by 2020, the CBO projects that our deficit will be 90% or more, of gross domestic product. Would this not make a Tea Party patriot out of any sane citizen?

From there, Wisckol argues to “uneasy alliances” in the Tea Party Movement? A discussion of common ground that has made the Tea Party such a successful voice would be more appropriate; a return to the founding principles of our Constitution, which include individual liberty, limited government, fiscal responsibility, free markets and a strong national defense. These are the principles (and candidates) which all Tea Parties unite.

The recent outcome of political events in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts, and now with Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Michigan, reveal and informed and educated Tea Party electorate … fed up with business as usual, overspending and debt that are bankrupting this country and the future of our children, and the backroom dealings, bribery and corruption, that, if practiced in the private sector, would put any CEO in jail…

The Tea Party is not an establishment. Tea Partiers are individuals, united in our understanding of the roots of the problems our country faces, as well as solutions. From this Register article it appears that both our government officials and our media friends refuse to listen to “we the people.” Thank you Anita, G. H. Kubeck

Kill the Corrupt Obama Health Care - 2 of 2

Kill the Corrupt Obama Health Care – 2 of 2
“Justice is truth in action.” – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, April 12, 2010

“This (European style welfare state) is the true goal of those promoting government run health care. If we go down this path creating entitlement after entitlement and promising benefits that can never be delivered America will become like the European Union: a welfare state where most people pay few or no taxes while becoming dependent on government benefits, where tax reduction is impossible because more people have a stake in welfare than in producing wealth; where high unemployment is a way of life and the spirit of risk-taking is smothered in webs of regulation.

“America today is not as far from this tipping point as we might think. While exact and precise measures cannot be made, there are estimates that in 2004, 20 percent of the households in the U.S. were receiving about 75 percent of their income from the federal government, another 20 percent of households were receiving nearly 40%. All in all, about 60% of American households were receiving more government benefits and services, measured in dollars, than were paying back in taxes. It has also been estimated that President Obama’s first budget alone raises the level of “net dependency” to 70 percent.

“Looked at in this way, I see health care reform of the kind promoted by the Obama administration and congressional leaders as part of a crusade against the American idea.

“At the heart of the conflict over health care reform, as I said at the beginning, are two incompatible understandings of America: one is based on the principles of progressivism, and would place more and more aspects of our lives under the administration of unelected “experts” in federal bureaucracy; the other sees America as a society of free individuals under a Constitution that severely limits what the federal government can rightfully do.

“We have seen many times over the past 100 years that the American people tend to be resistant to the progressive view of how we should reform our government – and I believe we are seeing this again today. Americans retain the Founders’ view that a government that seeks to go beyond its high but limited constitutional role of securing equal rights and establishing free markets is not progressive at all in the literal sense of the world – rather it is reactionary. Such a government seeks to privilege some Americans at the expense of others – which is precisely what the American was fought to prevent.

Kubeck, “The great battle in America today is between American and Left-wing Values.” Dennis Prager – Check out Prager University on the Blog. – “God and Liberty” versus “Secularism and Equality” All of the above paragraphs are from Paul Ryan, U.S. Congressman “Health Care in a Free Society” IMPRIMIS – A free publication of Hillsdale College - Feb. 2010 – Volume No. 2. - 800-437-2268

VIP Preface:
# 1 - Thank you President Barack Obama for revealing your mindset to the American people. You don’t care about process, you want the end result. However the process in your health care bill was corrupt. You believe that the end justifies the means. That is wrong. This is not Chicago politics. Now everything coming out of your mouth is suspect.

#2 - No newspaper in America dare smear The Tea Party Movement in America as racist. That is a vicious lie. “The New York Times” has done this. Unless the N.Y. Times publish an editorial with a retraction, this national newspaper will continue to be boycotted and cease to exist. It is already teetering on financial insolvency, and has been identified as a morally and intellectually corrupt newspaper.

#3 - How blessed we are with Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan! There is so much common sense, logic and constitutional thinking in his talk, “Health Care in a Free Society.” You can obtain a copy of this classic from “Imprimis” a publication of Hillsdale College, Feb. 2010, Vol. 39, No. 2. 800-437-2268 - The following are selected and significant excerpts:

“We are urged today – out of compassion – to support the progressive model; but placing control of health care in the hands of government bureaucrats is not compassionate. Bureaucrats don’t make decision about health care according to personal need or preference; they ration resources according to a dollar driven calculus.

“Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the administration’s point people on health care, advocates what he calls a “whole life system” – a system in which government makes treatment decisions for individuals using a statistical formula based on average life expectancy and ”social usefulness.” In keeping with this, the plans that recently emerged from Congress have a Medicare board of unelected “specialists” whose job it would be to determine the programs treatment proposals as a method of limiting costs…

“The idea that government should make decisions about how long people should live and who should be denied care is something that Americans find repugnant… The very idea of government-run health care conflicts with the American idea of a free society and the constitutional principles underlying it –the principles of individual rights and free markets…

“It is a debate less about policy than about ideology. It is a debate of whether we should reform health care in a way compatible with our Constitution and our free society, or whether we should abandon our free market economic model for a full-fledged European social welfare state…

The Robin Hood Syndrome

“Modern socialists adopt the motto of Robin Hood and the merry men of Sherwood Forest: “Stealing from the rich to give to the poor.” They call this income redistribution; and in at least in an initial phase, they did it not with bows and arrows medieval brigands, but through abusive taxes.

“Contrary to what today’s Robin Hood imitators appear to believe the purpose of taxation is not “stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor,” a means to “redistribute” income. Taxation should not become punishment for those who have greater advantage of their productive talents, capacity to work or thrift; nor should it be an instrument to promote social egalitarianism (the socialist dream).

“The proper purpose of taxes is to fund the state’s specific responsibilities, which are to maintain peace, social harmony and to ensure the nation’s defense thus promoting the common good and general prosperity. As Pope Pius XII teaches, “There is no doubt concerning the duty of each citizen to bear a part of the public expense. But the state on its part, in so far as it is charged with protecting and promoting the public good of its citizens, is under an obligation to assess upon them only necessary levies, which are, furthermore, proportionate to their means.”

Pope Pius XII affirms forcefully that Catholicism and Socialism are contradictory terms:

‘Society, therefore, as Socialism conceives it, can on the one hand neither exist not be thought of without an obviously excessive use of force; on the other hand, it fosters a liberty no less false, since there is no place in it for true social authority, which rests not on temporal and material advantages, but descends from God alone, the Creator and last end of all things.

“If Socialism, like all errors contains some truth (which, moreover, the Supreme Pontiffs have never denied), it is based nevertheless upon a theory of human society peculiar to itself and irreconcilable with true Christianity. Religious Socialism, Christian Socialism, are contradictory terms; no one can be at the same time a good Catholic and a true Socialist.”
V. Communism: A Satanic Scourge

In his March 19, 1937 Encyclical Divini Redemptoris, Pope Pius XI underlines the satanic character of Communism and its desire to destroy Christian civilization…

Here is a summary of the Communist doctrine according to the
Encyclical: “Evolutionist materialism” – Communist doctrine is founded on the principles of the so-called dialectic materialism taught by Karl Marx. “Atheism” – “Class Struggle” – “Depriving man of his liberty and dignity” – “Absolute equality” – “Negation of the right of private property” – “Rejection of the sacred character of human life and of the family” –“ Robbing parents of the right to educate their children” – “Negation of the law and perennial morals” – “Utopian ideas of a classless society with the abolition of the State - …

“The late Father Richard John Neuhaus founder of First Things was a native Canadian. After returning to the Ottawa valley in 2007 for his annual summer vacation, he observed, “It is true to say that in most aspects of public life {in Canada}, “Christianity has been not only disestablished but also banished.” He told the National Post that the erosion of the Christian foundation of Canadian society is linked to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms imposed by former Prime Minister Trudeau.

“The Charter according to Father Neuhaus, “is riddled through and through with the radically individual notion of the unnumbered self and equality enforced by state power.”

“There are 14 Human Rights Commission in Canada, with a combined annual budget of $200 million and 1000 employees. They operate as a parallel court system , but unlike real courts, as Erza Levant, a Jewish Canadian asserts, they are “quite corrupt, one-sided and illiberal.” Their censorship provision has 100% conviction rate over the past 31 years. According to Levant, “No one has ever been acquitted. Even China and Iran let a few people go as pretense to impartiality.”

“HRC has filed three complaints against Levant and more than 20 nuisance suits, including one against using the expression “kangaroo court” to describe HRC proceedings. These complaints have cost Levant $175,000 in legal fees. Fortunately Levant won massive support, especially in the United States, when he uploaded his interrogation session with HRC proceedings on YouTube.Readers of his blog have helped defray his legal costs.

“James Allen, a law professor in Queensland, does not hesitate to describe Canada’s HRCs as kangaroo courts (journalist Rory Leishman refers to HRCs “Canada’s Thought Police.” His contempt for the process is evident when he outlines how easy it is for anyone to be guilty of inciting hatred and thereby violating Section 13 (1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act: “To be in breach of these hate-speech provisions, you don’t have to counsel violence, you don’t have to urge discrimination; you don’t have to express hatred; you don’t even have to have said or written something that did, in fact, subject some group to hatred or contempt. All that is needed is your comments, in the view of the sort of people chosen to staff these tribunals are ‘likely’ to expose someone or some group to contempt or hatred.”

“False Freedom: There are additional unjust and disturbing features of the HRC approach. A person can make a complaint no matter how frivolous, without incurring any legal costs or penalties. The accused, on the other hand, no matter how innocent, must pay all legal expenses… Christianity has been largely disestablished in Canada. This void has been hurriedly and recklessly been filled by a poorly thought out, one sided notion of rights. Among these “rights” is the right not to be offended.

“The first victim of this current chapter of Canadian history was truth. HRCs are not interested, for example, in whether sodomy is truly a disordered act that may bring almost a train of health problems, or whether it is a good idea to raise children in a same-sex arrangement. They are interested in people’s feelings and how easy it is for people to be offended… be nice to each other…

Help Stop the "ENDA" Religious Liberty

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, April 7, 2010

“If it is not one thing, it is some other destructive program that the Obama regime and the new Obama political party are promoting. Obama and his CZARS, ACADEMICS and JUDICIAL ACTIVISTS and THEIR CONGRESSIONAL PROGRESSIVES LIBERALS NOT TRUE DEMOCRATS sadly have a stranglehold on the Democratic Party.” GHK

“Dear George and Reader, {From Tony Perkins, President, F.R.C., April 6, 2010 - reply@frc.org }

“Do you think it is right for liberals running the government to…?
1.)Force a Christian bookstore to hire a man … who dresses in women’s clothing?

2.)Force your child religious school to hire homosexual instructors?

3.)Force your employer to fire or censor you for what they call “anti-gay harassment”... for simply keeping a Bible on your desk?

“That’s the nightmare you could face if the Obama/Pelosi/Reid Congress PASSES THE SO-CALLED EMPLOYEMENT NON-DICRIMINATION ACT (ENDA). AND THAT’S WHY IT MUST BE EXPOSED.
“This law would change America forever by allowing all of the outrages I’ve stated above - and more. Most chilling, liberals in Congress almost passed ENDA in 2007.

“Will you stand with Family Research Council (FRC) now by sending a generous tax-deductible contribution to help us support our national effort to expose the disastrous consequences of this bill?

“ENDA should be called The Discrimination against Christian Workers Act. Why? Just Ask …

1.)Jon and Elaine Huguenin, who were saddled with legal costs that could run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars because they politely declined to take ‘commitment’ photos of two lesbians.

2.)Rolf Szabo, who was fired by Kodak after 23 years of faithful service because he declined to participate in the company’s “Coming Out Day” celebration of bi-sexual, and transgender (cross-dresser) employees.

3.)The Christian employees at Sandia National Laboratories, who were ordered to take down their family photos when homosexual co-workers complained that “traditional family” images were demeaning.

“If the federal ENDA law passes, what happened to the Huguenins … and Rolf Szabo … and the Christians in Sandia Laboratories … could happen to any Christian or person of moral conviction, ENDA will give Washington liberals virtually unlimited power to force every business with more than 15 employees to embrace immoral sexual behavior as normal and worth of celebration…

“Most shocking was the presentation by Elaine Donnely, President of the Center for Military Readiness, regarding the impact on our military if homosexuals are allowed to serve openly. She states: ‘The extraordinary responsibility of the armed forces, the unique conditions of military service, and the critical role of unit cohesion, require that that the military community … exist as a specialized society … characterized by the own laws, rules, customs and traditions, including numerous restrictions on personal behavior that would not be acceptable in civilian society… The prohibition against homosexual conduct is a longstanding element of military law that continuous to be necessary in the unique circumstances of military service.’

“Barack Obama is using our defense forces for ‘political payoff’ and ‘social engineering’ to appease his homosexual allies. {Urge Congress NOT to repeal U.S.C. Section 654, Title 10- the existing law that bans gays from serving in the military. Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez is for the repeal.}

“In addition to the power of the President, there is tremendous pressure on Congress from radical homosexual groups and lobbyists to repeat the law… In 1993 Congress overwhelmingly REJECTED President Clinton’s proposal to allow homosexuals to openly serve in the military…

“President Obama’s goal of repealing this law would have disastrous consequences for our national security. Men and women living in close barracks, cramped submarine quarters, or using common showers must know that their fellow soldiers does not view them as a sexual object. Unit cohesiveness and trust is critical to military readiness and morale.

“The mainstream media is not reporting that a Military Times poll showed that 58% of military respondents oppose the repeal of the law… that military associations like the Veterans of Foreign Wars strongly oppose any such change of policy… and that more than 1,000 retired military officers have signed a statement supporting the 1993 law and opposing this new Obama policy…

“THE MILITARY TIMES POLL SAYS THAT A FULL 10% OF RESPONDENTS WOULD NOT REENLIST IF THE LAW IS REPEALED! That equals to more than 228,000 trained military personnel leaving their units in a time of war- greater than the size of our current U.S. Marine Corps. Perhaps even worse, another 14 % of poll respondents said they would consider ending their careers through retirement if this ban is repealed! …

“Imagine the impact on national security and readiness if so many dedicated soldiers, marines, seamen and airmen decide to leave military service... If this law is repealed, just think about these topics hotly debated in the civilian world – being the focus of our Armed Forces. Housing and living quarters … same-sex partner benefits … civil unions … child custody disputes … sexual misconduct allegations … diversity training … plus threats to free speech and religious freedom… Why would the Commander of our armed forces support a policy change so potentially dangerous …?

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Sunday, April 4, 2010

“Socialism is a utopian ideology that attempts to eliminate human selfishness by destroying individual freedom, private property and free enterprise. Socialists believe that they can eliminate injustice by transferring responsibilities from individual and families to the State. However, their efforts are tantamount to killing the patient to cure his illness.

“By suppressing individual responsibility, Socialism creates the greatest possible injustice because it destroys true liberty, which is everyman freedom to decide for himself all matters that lie within his competence, to follow the course shown by his own reason, and to keep within the laws of morality and the dictates of justice and charity.

“Socialism is un-natural because it destroys initiative – a fruit of his intellect and free will – which tends to manifest itself in everything he does. When the State replaces individual initiative, Socialism’s totalitarian aspect enters with the inherent appearance of government and police repression that has been seen abundantly wherever it has been implemented.

“Persecution through the tax system, as is usual in so-called moderate Socialist regimes, such as social democracy, is as unjust as police persecution since both attack man’s intelligent and free nature.
CATHOLIC SOCIAL DOCTRINE IS OPPOSED TO SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM:

“In America the State has been absorbing society more and more usurping the attributions of the family and civic, cultural, religious and worker organizations and charitable institutions – the intermediate bodies between the individual and the State that constitute the living fabric of the nation.

“In this way the principle of solidarity and the principle of subsidiarity – two pillars of Christian social order end by being weakened by the principle of authority. Indeed, the principle of solidarity, derived from the common nature of men, leads them to be solidary among themselves and to help one another.

“It is in the family that this principle of solidarity attains the maximum of its force; for its part, the principle of solidarity, stemming from the fact that man is not only a social being but also a rational and free responsible being, guarantees every individual the right to resolve his own problems by himself or through his family or other intermediate associations without being obliged to higher authorities or await solutions from above…

“Thus the principle of authority is fundamental for social life but it may not ignore or destroy the principles of solidarity and subsidiarity, of which it is a complement. Without equilibrium among these three fundamental principles, society goes into disarray and easily slides into totalitarianism , understood as a regime that respects no individual rights and freedoms or takes them into account… (To be continued)

Learning to do God's Will *

Learning to do God’s Will*
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, April 3, 2010

Elizabeth greets Mary with the words: “Blessed are you who have believed.” The act of faith by which Mary became God’s doorway into the world and offered herself as the dwelling place of that hope that made her blessed, is, by its very nature, an act of obedience: let it be with me according to your word – with my whole being I am the servant of the Lord.

For Mary, faith meant being at God’s service, saying Yes. In her act of faith, she puts at God’s disposal here whole being for the work he wants to accomplish in her. Faith is not one attitude among many, but a frame of mind with regard to oneself – placing it at God’s disposal and so at the disposal of truth and love.

In his encyclical on Mary, Pope John Paul II has expounded this faith with great profundity. I propose to choose from this encyclical two points that can lead us to a deeper understanding of Mary’s faith and thus faith as obedience. The first of these is the reference to Psalm 40:6-8, from which the Letter to Hebrews (10:5-7) quotes Jesus’ act of obedience to the Father that found its fulfillment in His Incarnation and crucifixion: “Sacrifice and offerings you have not desired, but a body you have prepared for me ….Then I said, ‘See God I have come to do you will.’ …”

In her Yes to the birth of God’s Son from her womb by the power of the Holy Spirit, Mary placed her body, her whole self, at God’s disposal to do what he pleases. Her Yes put her will in perfect conformity with the will of the Son. Because her Yes echoes the Yes of Jesus’ words: a body you have prepared for me, it makes possible the Incarnation of Jesus and his human birth.

If God is to have entry into our world and to be born there, Mary’s Yes, this conformity of our will with God’s will, must be repeated again and again. On the Cross this conformity of wills finds its definitive expression. There is no evidence there, as there is in the Psalms, of the glory that is David’s. As in the case of Abraham, faith has been cast into utter darkness: “A body you have prepared for me…. See, God, I have come to do your will.” On the Cross this readiness is put to the proof, and precisely the darkness in which Mary stands engulfed reflects the fullness of her identity of her will with that of Jesus.

Faith is a community formed by the Cross, and it is only on the Cross that it achieves its full perfection: the place where redemption seemed utterly beyond our reach is actually the place where it is consummated. We must, I think, relearn our devotion to the Cross. It seemed too passive to us, too pessimistic, too sentimental – but if we had been devoted to the Cross of Jesus in our lifetime, how will we endure our own cross when it comes for it to be laid upon us?

A friend of mine, who depended for years on kidney dialysis and who realized and who realized that his life was slipping away from him moment by moment, once told me that as a child, and later as an adult, he had had a special devotion to the Way of the Cross and had often prayed it. When he heard the frightening diagnosis of his illness, he was at first stunned; then suddenly the thought came to him what you have prayed so often has now become a reality in your life; now you can really accompany Jesus; you have joined to him in his Way of the Cross…
Happy Easter,
