*Catholic Prayer Breakfast – Orange County – Sept. 28/11 – 6:30-9 AM – Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort, Garden Grove, Ca., Sponsored by Magis Institute, www.magis.us – 949-271-2727- cont’d

“We are never alone surrounded with the Saints. Find a shelter in the Community of the Saints. Christians live in the prayers of the Saints: The walls between heaven and earth are like glass.

“Contemplation and giving the fruit of your contemplation to others… We are all called to be Contemplative – called to be Saints.

“Focus on 3 things: Joy - Today’s Saint and Martyr Wenceslas was a joyful Saint… Joy flows from knowing God and His love. G.K. Chesterton, “Man is no more himself when joy is part of him.”…

“When we are gifted with so much love and grace, we are bound to share this with others. [St. Thomas Aquinas is usually given credit for the following phrase.] Contemplare et contemplata aliis trader] – “To contemplate and give others the fruits of your contemplation.”… Founded the contemplative nuns: They pray for us.

“The power of prayer; God wants to use our prayers to accomplish great needs in the world. St. Thomas Aquinas, “Our privilege is to serve and love God.” [More is wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.]

“Pope Pius V was a Dominican. He called for the praying of the Rosary for victory in a historic event in the battle of Lepanto Oct. 7, 1571. Outnumbered we won and lost 5,000 and the Ottoman Turkish Muslims lost 30,000. On that day we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary.

“Come to be your true self through prayer. Accomplish his will in us. Sometimes words are inadequate.

“St. Catherine of Sienna was the busiest person in the world. She spent three years of prayer in her own room. Then God told her to go into the world. Do God’s will! Note her mother had 24 children.

“A third way: Study the faith in order to share it with others. How important it is for each of us to be what God wants us to be! No one else can take our place and it will not be done.

“The laity can go into areas which we [religious] cannot go. A call to which only you can respond.

“I will have Thyself.” “Only Thyself.” This was St. Thomas Aquinas response to Jesus when offered a reward for having written rightly.

“We are in union with Christ and support each other and Our Church. Profess together. Reclaim our culture for Christ.”

Mr. George H. Kubeck O.P. I believe that the Magis Institute has tape recorded Mother Assumpta Long’s talk.

George Soros - Fact or Fiction

George Soros - Fact or Fiction*
In pursuit of the truth - www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, September 29, 2011

“The Colorado Miracle” wasn’t fiction. It was fact. The success of the “The Secretary of State Project (SoSPP)” wasn’t fiction but fact. Do you remember the passage of so-called Marijuana Health Laws in California and Arizona? Billionaire George Soros’s money made it possible. I wish we had this billionaire on the side of traditional America. Soros wants to change America into a European one and has the money to harm us. It is the secular Soros religion and he has many rich useful idiots who believe in him and support his anti-religious and socialist agenda.

We must study his successes in the past in order to prevent disasters occurring in the coming 2012 elections. Here is an example of an outstanding Soros success.

“The Colorado Miracle” Everyone in the room knew that the phrase referred to a stunning political development generated virtually overnight by a chain of Soros-funded holders told the tale. In October 2004, Republicans held two U.S. Senate seats, 5 of 7 congressional seats, the governorship, the secretary of state office and both houses of the legislature.

When the 2008 elections scarcely two months away ended, the exact opposite would be true, and Colorado would have been changed from a red [Republican] state to a blue [Democratic] one brief election cycle. p. 2

Now let’s take a look at what happened in Minnesota in 2008 with Soros’s “Secretary of State Project”.

“When Republican incumbent U.S. Senator Norm Coleman finished 725 vote ahead of Democratic challenger Al Franken, the thin margin of victory triggered an automatic recount. With Richie (Democratic Secretary of State) presiding, Coleman’s lead gradually dwindled in the ensuing weeks as a result of what journalist Matthew Vadum described as a long series of “appalling irregularities” that invariably benefited Franken.

For example, during the recount process a number of ballots were suddenly “discovered” in an election judge’s car; one Minnesota county similarly “discovered” 100 new votes for Franken and claimed that a clerical error was responsible for the fact that they hadn’t been counted before; another county tallied 171 more votes than it had recorded on Election Day; yet another county reported 133 fewer votes than its voting machines had originally tabulated. “Almost every time new ballots materialized, or tallies were updated or corrected, Franken benefitted,” writes Vadum.

In addition, at least 393 convicted felons voted illegally in two particular Minnesota counties. By the time the recount (and a court challenge by Coleman) ended in April, 2009, Franken held a 312-vote lead and in June was officially declared the victor.” p. 33-4

P.S. Note also in Minnesota the work of ACORN in turning in many fraudulent registered voters. Since honest journalism is dead, the possibility of Obama’s reelection exists. Also, teacher unions throughout the country support Democratic candidates. In California, the compulsory dues are about a thousand dollars each year. We need to push for vouchers and chartered schools.

Most Reverend Dominic M Luong, D.D., M.S. Auxiliary Bishop of Orange County, “In the public square we have materialism and relativism. I am a different person in private… Ask God’s grace to make public affirmation of our faith. That is why we are gathered today.”

Preface: Called by Cardinal John O’Connor Mary Assumpta Long O.P. helped start the “Sisters for Life.” She moved on to found and be the Prioress General of the Dominican Sisters of the Eucharist located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1997 she, along with three other Sisters, founded the Dominican Sisters of Mary of the Eucharist. In these 14 years, the Community has grown from these four Sisters to 100. Their average age is 28 years. They have 37 novices.

The Sisters currently teach in a dozen schools located in eight dioceses in seven states, and continues, yearly, to send more young women Religious into various Catholic schools across the nation. Currently the Sister have three missions in California: Loomis, Sacramento and San Francisco.

It would be a good idea for Catholics and other Christians to purchase the DVD of Sister Long’s talk and have a discussion of it afterwards. In some ways, it can be used as a presentation to join the local Dominican laity. What follows are selected excerpts of Mother Mary Assumpta Long O.P. talk:

"[Each of us is called to accomplish great things. Walk on the water whenever Christ asks you.] What to say at a Catholic Prayer Breakfast? We need to circle the wagons around all the Catholics in the world. To fight the power of evil in the world:
I got the idea from the book of Joshua. When Moses died it was the task of Joshua to lead the people. He went through the whole history of salvation. God delivered them from their enemies. Serve the Lord completely and sincerely: As for me and my household we will serve the Lord."

"Recall the Lord and what he has given us: fullness of faith: sacraments: Sacred Scripture: Tradition: Magisterium: We believe in the Community of Saints. We need to remain Church in our covenant today. To change the culture: For all he has given to us in our faith. It helps to look at Joshua."

"Joshua was chosen by Moses along with 11 other men. Ten believed the nearby inhabitants were too strong. They threatened to kill Joshua and Caleb. But it is the Lord’s will. Only Joshua and Caleb remained alive. Keep the law. Don’t swerve to the right or left. Be fearless. We can be like Joshua and Caleb. What made them so strong?"

"Moses put a veil over his face. The Lord spoke to him face to face. Joshua was a contemplative. We too can do great things for the Lord. Strong prayer life and united with the Saints in heaven: Reference Pope Benedict XVI’s writings..."

The Good News and Bad News for our Bishop

The Good News and Bad News for our Bishop
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Sunday, September 25, 2011

The Good News: Bishop Tod D. Brown has authorized The Bush Law Firm and other lay advisors to the diocese to explore possible engagement and purchase of this property. I beg to differ with many and sincerely believe that the purchase by the Orange County Catholic Diocese of Rev. Robert Schuller’s property including the Crystal Cathedral is a wise decision.

Having visited the Hospitality Center at the Crystal Cathedral a few times in the past, I noted the three statues on the second floor of the building. They are Norman Vincent Peale, Bishop Fulton Sheen and Reverend Robert Schuller. Without doubt the achievement and legacy of all the buildings are that of Robert Schuller. But I believe that in his heart he wants to transfer that legacy to Jesus Christ. We believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the one that Jesus Christ founded.

I have a great admiration for Reverend Robert Schuller. During the 1980’s, I listened to him and his guests many times. They gave motivational, inspirational and spiritual talks. I believe that thousands of Catholics throughout the country sent donations to his ministry and did not consider themselves members of his Church. Thousands also participated when they saw the religious presentations at Christmas and Easter. With the purchase; let God’s will be done.

The Bad News: It was a serious mistake by any pastor in the Orange County Diocese not to give permission to their flock to collect signatures on the petition S.B. 48 to put it on the ballot for Californians to vote on. Let me begin this way: S.B. 48 is not based on science, common sense and natural law. The legislature is not upholding traditional American values. We live in a totalitarian state where the leadership wants to change us into PC zombies. To Hades with political correctness:

I am a retired 23 veteran public school teacher. (1986) S.B. 48 prostitutes the integrity, conscience-protection, and good character of the public school teacher. Does anyone care about teacher integrity? Can you figure out the silence of the PTA organizations?

The prayer intentions of Pope Benedict XVI for September are: Teachers: That all teachers may know how to communicate the love of truth and instill authentic moral and spiritual values.

Also Cardinal Sean O’Malley in an address to the legal profession called physician-assisted suicide “a corruption of the medical profession and pointed out that it violated Hippocratic Oath.” IN THE SAME MANNER, S.B. 48 IS “THE CORRUPTION OF THE TEACHING PROFESSION.”

S.B. 48 is flawed thinking and introduces ideas which are confusing to the young and to the scientific knowledge that we have of child development. For example, there is transgender. [Trapped in the wrong body] This does occur in 8 out of 100,000 boys and girls. S.B. ignores normal child development, the time of gender permanence etc. A child is not a miniature adult.

To correct the mistake, Bishop Brown can have the dissident priests collect signatures with their parishioners for S.B. 48 at the Orange County Prayer Breakfast this coming Wednesday morning.

The Catholic Identity Crisis

The Catholic Identity Crisis
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, Sept. 24, 2012

I took a six-month subscription to www.RealCatholicTV.com and Michael Voris had this to say:

“There is a huge monumental fight going on inside the Catholic Church these days … in case you haven’t notice. And if you haven’t noticed … it will be pretty difficult to understand and process events that are going on. Unlike most neat and tidy wars where there are usually two sides… in this case there are three. And this is what makes things so difficult to get a grip on.

1.)In one corner of the triangle… the liberal progressive modernist gang. The provocateurs with their dingbat theology about women priests and rejection of anything traditional. These are the folks who think the Church suddenly sprang into being in the middle of the 20th century and should accommodate the world whenever possible.

2.)In the second corner of the Catholic Triangle are those who actually believe in God… at the least the God that Our Blessed Lord came to real to us. They believe everything right down the line that the Church teaches… that the Pope is the successor of St. Peter and is infallible when speaking on matters of faith and morals. This is the crowd that actually deserves the name Catholic because … well… they ARE.

3.)Then there is the third group … the vague and ambivalent crowd. There are a LOT of people in this corner. Here you will find the talk the talk but not walk the walk crowd… those leaders who for a variety of reasons … SOUND like the traditional crowd but allow much of what dingbat theology crowd pushes.

And this crowd is precisely where the heart of the problems is. The group … clergy and laity … acts or may actually believe they are faithful … but turn a blind eye to all the corruption and evil and sin in the Church when it comes to actually doing something about it.

Now the reasons for this are varied. Some Church leaders … again clergy and laity … think they are doing the right thing. They call it prudent by allowing and/or agreeing with homosexual masses… pro-abortion Catholic politicians to receive Holy Communion … emphasizing so-called social justice concerns to the detriment of spiritual concerns.

And while they allow much of this malfeasance to exist and prosper and flourish … all in the name of charity … they get downright nasty with virtually any Catholic from the faithful crowd. They support … and sometimes promote smear campaigns …threaten like bullies…wield whatever ecclesiastical weapons they can … in short … anything they can do to bring down those horrible tradition minded Catholics to heel.

In this crowd you will find every stripe of contemporary Catholic imaginable… The problem with this third group … and they are definitely the majority in the Protestant-friendly liturgical abusive watered down and theologically malformed crowd is that they LOOK very Catholic and often SOUND very Catholic because quite often they actually are.

Theirs is a new type of Catholicism that has been banged into the heads of almost anyone raised in the post Vatican II Church. Problem is … a large part of went before the mid-20th century has been jettisoned or better yet … just ignored. This has created a war for the soul of the Catholicism and there are no signs that this war is anywhere near achieving a truce.”

GOD love you. I’m Michael Voris

Cardinal S. O'Malley, Archbishops T. Dolan and C. Chaput

Cardinal S. O’Malley, Archbishops T. Dolan and C. Chaput
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, September 24, 2011

1. Archbishop Timothy Dolan, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops wrote in a September 20 letter to President Barack Obama. The Administration’s assault on DOMA will “precipitate a national conflict between Church and State of enormous proportions and to the detriment of both institutions…

Dolan especially objected to the Justice Department’s legal arguments that equate those in favor of DOMA to racists. It is “particularly upsetting,” he said, when the Administration attributes to those who support DOMA “a motivation rooted in prejudice and bias.

It is especially wrong and unfair to equate opposition to redefining marriage with either intentional or willfully racial discrimination, as your Administration insists on doing,” he said. He underscored the Church’s position recognizing “the immeasurable personal dignity and equal worth of all individuals, including those with same-sex attraction” and said “we reject all hatred and unjust treatment against any person.

“While all persons merit our full respect, no other relationships provide for the common good what marriage between husband and wife provides. The law should reflect that reality.” “Push the reset button on your Administration’s approach to DOMA.” [Article taken from www.calcatholic.com - Sept. 23, 2011]

2. Archbishop Charles Chaput, “If they don’t believe what the church teaches, they’re not really Catholic.” Chaput has been an outspoken proponent for pro-abortion politicians not receiving Communion. [The CINOP, if he has any integrity should on his own not receive Communion.]

3. Cardinal Sean O’Malley condemns efforts to legalize euthanasia in Massachusetts. Dignity 2012 is a pro-euthanasia group which seeks to legalize assisted-suicide in Mass. Addressing member of the legal profession, for whom a Mass is held every year, O’Malley called physician assisted suicide “ a corruption of the medical profession,” and pointed that it violated the Hippocratic Oath. [In like manner California’s SB.48 corrupts the teaching profession.]

George H. Kubeck

P.S. What does all of the above mean? It’s crunch time! The charade by Catholic label politicians is over. It’s a message to Catholic American voters and to the CINOP throughout the nation whether you are registered Democratic, Republican or Independent. It is impossible to vote for a leader and this kind of political party with their national agenda. The Catholic vote in 2008 was 53% for Obama. The Catholic vote is a swing vote in Presidential elections and got Obama elected.

This will not happen again. We have an opportunity in 2012 to decisively defeat much of the culture of death agenda and their supporters. On our side we have common sense, reason and natural law, St. Thomas Aquinas, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Magisterium and the bishops. Catholic writers need to talk about the Catholic-label politicians. Censor the CINOP: End the fraud and the use of the Catholic-label.

CINOP definition: A Catholic politician or person who not only promotes publicly pro-abortion, (partial-birth abortion, infanticide), but also same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, euthanasia and assisted-suicide. All of these are absolutely and intrinsically evil. We can disagree and fight about the prudential issues.

Atheism is Such a Waste of Time

Atheism is Such a Waste of Time
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, September 23, 2011

Preface: Atheism is such a waste of time particularly for young people. It’s the secular religion of fools. Sadly, many of the advocates of the culture of death in America have succumbed to it. I am thinking of the programs of the ACLU; and immigrant and now U.S. citizen George Soros with his agenda.

However, we have writer Edward Feser with his book The Last Superstition: A Refutation of the New Atheism. We will share poignant excerpts from the book reviewed by New Oxford Review, Sept, 2011.

The author has a response to the “New Atheism “of Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, Richard Dawkins, and Christopher Hitchens. Edward Feser is not above belittling the atheists, stating that one is “ almost tempted to think Dawkin’s research for the philosophical chapters of his book consisted entirely of quick thumbing through Philosophy for Dummies …” Harris shuns Aquinas and seems to “dismiss the great religious thinkers of the West without having read them...

While asserting that “atheist chic is now,” Feser exposes atheism as the “ultimate superstition” with a goofy catechism that preaches environmentalism and animal-rights activism. He also takes on secularism, a snobbish creed that worships science, abhors religion and traditional values, and ignores the fact that “Western religious tradition itself very firmly rests on and embraces reason and science.”

A conversational, snappy pace propels lessons from Plato and Aristotle, showing that “reason can reveal to us that there is a God, that we have immortal souls, and that there is a natural moral law.”… The great medieval Scholastic realist, St. Thomas Aquinas, supported Aristotelian logic for God’s existence…“Abandoning Aristotelianism, as the foundation of modern philosophy did, was the greatest single mistake ever made in the entire history of Western thought.” …

Traditional morality, based on natural law, is shown to rest on an “analysis of human nature entailed by classical philosophy.” Homosexuality may exist like other deformities, but it is not natural. Feser argues that supposed genetic basis for homosexuality is irrelevant since the unnatural character of a homosexual act does not conform, in the Aristotelian sense, “to the essence or nature of a thing.” (Plato and Aristotle both condemned homosexual acts.) Marriage is defined as “an objective metaphysical fact determined by its final cause, inherently procreative, and thus inherently heterosexual.”

FEDER BEGS READERS TO NOTE THAT “AT NO POINT SO FAR IN MY EXPOSITION OF NATURAL LAW THEORY IN GENERAL OR ITS APPROACH TO SEXUAL MORALITY IN PARTICULAR HAVE I APPEALED TO SCRIPTURE, OR TRADITIONAL RELIGIOUS TEACHING, OR EVEN TO A PURELY OF PHILOSOPHICAL NOTION OF GOD.”…

“THE LAST SUPERSTITION” FLOWS WITH BONHOMIE AND GUSTO SIMILAR TO A RINGING ORATION…

President Obama in the Twilight Zone

President Obama in the Twilight Zone*
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, September 19, 2011

*We close with Mark Steyn’s article in OC Register, Sept. 18, 2011 … But not to worry on Thursday night, the president told a Democratic fundraiser in Washington that the “Pass My Jobs Bill” would create 1.9 million new jobs. What kind of jobs is created by this kind of magical thinking? Well, they’re “green jobs” – and, if we know anything about “green jobs” is that they take a lot of green.

…German taxpayers subsidize “green jobs” in their wind-power industry to the tune of a quarter of a million dollars per worker per year: $250,000 per green job would pay for a lot of real jobs, even in the European Union. Last year, it was revealed that the Spanish government paid $800,000 for every “green job” on a solar panel assembly line. I had assumed that this must be a world record in terms of tax payer subsidy per fraudulent “green job.”…

The Obama administration’s $38.6 billion “clean technology” program was supposed to “create or save” 65,000 jobs. Half the money has been spent – 17.2 billion – and we have 3,545 jobs to show for it. That works out to an impressive $4,851,904.09 per “green job.” A world record! Take that, you loser Spaniards! USA! USA!
So, based on previous form, Obama’s prediction of 1.9 million new jobs will result in the creation of 92,00 new jobs, mostly in the Federal Department of Green Jobs Grant Applications.

Just to put it in perspective, the breezy $447 billion price tag for the “Pass My Jobs Bill jobs bill is about 20 times higher than the most recent Greek government deficit currently threatening the stability of the entire Eurozone. Indeed, Greece projected 2011 deficit - $24 Billion at last count – is a little more than half of just one of Obama’s boutique, niche “green jobs” programs. As Churchill almost said, never in the field of human con tricks has so much been owed by so many to so little effect…

But back on the campaign trail the chanting goes on, last week’s election results in Nevada and New York withstanding. America has the lowest employment since the early Eighties, the lowest property ownership since the Mid-Sixties, the highest deficit-to-GDP ratio since the Second World War, the worst long-term unemployment since the Great Depression, the highest government dependency rate at all time, [ 45 million on food stamps] and the highest debt mountain in the history of the planet...

In my new book, I point out that Big Government leaves everything else smaller – and, when it’s bigger than anything ever attempted, the everything else is going to be way smaller. .. Look at your home, look at your savings, and figure out what’ll be left after another four years of “stimulus.”

“I love you!” squeals the Obammybopper in North Carolina. “I love you, too” says Obama. “But …” But: You gotta take this half-trillion dollar bill, and the next one, and the one after that. Like Al Gore says in “Love Story,” love means never having to say you’re sorry.

George H. Kubeck, Don’t forget the other fraud, Censor the CINOP: End the Fraud and Catholic Label. Pray that journalists in Catholic magazines will at last focus in on Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, Governors Jerry Brown and Andrew Cuomo for supporting same-sex marriage, besides abortion throughout the country.

Mark Steyn's Obama Jobs Bill Twilight Zone*

Mark Steyn’s OBAMA JOBS BILL Twilight Zone*
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.come – Sunday, September 18, 2011

The president has taken to the campaign trail to promote his American Jobs Act. That’s a good name for: an act. “Pass this bill now!” he declared 24 times at a stop in Raleigh, N.C., and 18 times in Columbus, Ohio, and the act is sufficiently effective that, three years in to the Vapidity of Hope, the President can still find crowds to chant along with him: “Pass this bill now!”

Not all supporters are content merely to sing along with the prompter-in-chief. In North Carolina, a still devoted hopeychanger cried out, “I love you!”

“I love you, too,” said the president. “But …” Oh, here it comes, you’ve got to help me pass this bill!” You’d be surprised how effective this line is: I tried it on Darlene in the back of my Ford Edsel when I was 17, and we didn’t get home till two in the morning.

Pass this bill now, of I’ll say “Pass this bill now!” another dozen times! With this latest inspiration, Obama has taken the post-modern phase of democratic politics to a whole new level. “Pass this jobs bill”? Simply as a matter of humdrum reality, there is no bill, it won’t create any jobs, and it will be paid for with money we don’t have.

But the smartest president in history has calculated that, if he says the same four monosyllable over and over, a non-existent bill to create non-existent jobs with non-existent money will be another legislative triumph in the grand tradition of his first stimulus (the original Dumb And Dumber to the sequel’s Stimulus And Stimulusser).

The estimated cost of the non-bill is just shy of half a trillion dollars. Gosh, it seems like only yesterday that Washington was in the grip of a white knuckle, clenched teeth showdown over whether a debt ceiling deal could be reached before the alleged looming deadline. When the deal was triumphantly unveiled at the 11th hour, it was revealed that our sober, prudent, fiscally responsible masters had gotten control of the runaway spending had had carved (according to the most optimistic analysis) a whole 7 billion of savings out of the 2012 budget. The president then airily breezes into Congress and in 20 minutes adds another $447 billion to the tab.

That’s what meaningful course correction in Washington boils down to: seven billion steps forward, 447 billion steps back. This $447 billion does not exist, and even foreigners don’t want to lend it to us. A majority of it will be “electronically created” by the Federal Reserve U.S. Treasury debt. Don’t worry; it’s not like “printing money”: we leave that to primitive basket-cases like Zimbabwe. This is more of those Nigerian email schemes which a prominent public official promises you a large sum of money in return for your bank account details.

In the case of Ben Bernanke and Timothy Gethner, one prominent public official is promising to wire a large sum of money into the account of another prominent official, which is a wrinkle even the Nigerians might have difficulty selling….

Father Frank Pavone's Work and Travel Schedule

Father Frank Pavone’s Work and Travel Schedule

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, September 17, 2011

Preface: Just think we would not be talking about the above without Bishop Patrick J. Zurek concern about Priests for Life President Father Frank Pavone. Saint Paul exclaims that he speaks “… not to please mortals, but to please God…” (1 Th 2:4). To please God - because that is his criterion.*

Correcting the behavior of those gone astray is an essential part of Christian life, said Pope Benedict XVI in his Sunday Angelus address on Sept. 4.

The text of the Gospel “tells us that brotherly love also involves a sense of mutual responsibility,” said the pope, “so if my brother sins against me, I must use love towards him, first of all, speak to him personally, pointing out to what he said or done is not good.”

“My people are destroyed for lack of information”. In California, for example, S.B.48 and AB. 499 are destructive anti-family laws passed by the California Legislature with the help of the Catholic-label politicians. Assemblyman Jose Solorio voted for S.B. 48. [I just called CINOP Governor Jerry Brown to veto AB 499. Finally got through. The number is (916) 445-2841, Fax (916) 558-3160]

Bishop Patrick J. Zurek vs. Father Frank Pavone
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, September 16, 2011

Join us in our conversation. Without doubt there could be a personality conflict between Amarillo Bishop Patrick J. Zurek and Priests for Life President Father Frank Pavone. There are lessons to be learned by both sides. In fact this is a two-edged sword for pro-life.

It will be a great victory for both sides if pro-life accentuates the positive; turns a negative into a positive; corrects the negative; and tries to focus on the education of the U.S. Bishops and the Catholic laity on what it means to be pro-life and the wonderful work “Priests for Life” is doing in the public sector and the education of all American voters.

September 13, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – LifeSiteNews spoke with Priests for Life
President Fr. Frank Pavone this morning regarding the letter by his bishop, Patrick J. Zurek, demanding that Fr. Pavone restrict his ministry, at least for the time being, to the Diocese of Amarillo, commencing today September 13, 2011.

In a September 9 letter to bishops across the U.S., Bishop Zurek said, “My decision is the result of deep concerns regarding his stewardship of the finances of the Priests for Life (PFL) organization.” “PFL has become a business that is quite lucrative which provides Father Pavone with financial independence from all legitimate ecclesiastical oversight,” the letter said.

Fr. Pavone told LifeSiteNews that he was “perplexed” by the demand and added that he has begun a process of appeal to the Vatican. He stressed that “Priests for Life is above reproach in its financial management and the stewardship of the monies it received from dedicated pro-lifers, [yours truly] raised primarily through the direct mail at the grassroots level.”

Financial reports, he said, are submitted to all 21 bishops and cardinals who sit on the organization’s Advisory Board. Fr. Pavone also said that he does “not receive any salary or financial remuneration from either the Diocese of Amarillo or from Priests for Life.

May we use the article by Father Raniero Cantlamessa, OFM Cap titled, The Duty of Fraternal Correction, by Zenit: http://www.zenit.org/article-23555?1+english - We read: “Jesus said to his disciples: ‘If your brother sins, go & admonish him privately; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.’

Also, we have a book coming out by Judie Brown, [Leader of American Life League] titled, The Broken Path – How Catholic Bishops got lost in the weeds of American Politics. + www.brokenpathbook.com

May I add to Judie Brown’s book, the importance of the bishops to get with it: “Listen to Talk Radio?” Specifically to Dennis Prager, Michael Midved and Hugh Hewitt on KLAC 870 - locally M-F and other stations nationally. The bishops will meet this Nov. 14-17/11 on voting and need other information.

George H. Kubeck, We will focus on the Talk Schedule of Fr. Frank Pavone and the work he has done to organize with over three-dozen national groups: Voter Registration Sundays in 2012. The Times of Venerable Father Michael McGivney

The Times of Venerable Father Michael McGivney
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, September 15, 2011

Ref. Father Michael J. McGivney Newsletters, Jan. –Feb. 2010 and Sep.-Oct. 2010

Father Michael McGivney is the founder of the Knights of Columbus. “If we follow the Father McGivney’s program for spiritual vitality, reflection on our lives must begin on a note of hope and gratitude. The precious gift of life and the power to direct one’s own life under the influence of the Holy Spirit is the true source of hope and optimism.

“Father McGivney knew this well as he faced the brokenness of Catholic families and the social ills of his day. Weighed down with the sufferings of his flock, faced with uncertain financial conditions of the parish and hostility from outside the Church. He was ever a man of steady encouragement and hope.

“In fact, his faith in God’s providence was contagious. It was hard to be around Father McGivney and not to be hopeful. He was energized by the difficulties that confronted him and was always creative in devising ways to face problems and work towards solutions. The venerable parish priest loved his parishioners with a great intensity. In return, they followed his example of optimism undertaking all manner of projects to relieve the sufferings and burden of others.

“Today, hard economic times bring plenty of suffering. Besides the usual tensions and problems typical of family life, the possible loss of a job, the need to cut back on the “extras” that enrich the formation of children or the threat of not making the mortgage put extra strain on parents and children.

“Part of Father McGivney’s pastoral genius was his ability to find ways of bringing people together to enjoy one another and have plenty of fun. It could be a picnic or dance in the parish hall, but this man of God wanted his people to enjoy life in spite of their poverty. For him, as for all the saints, the need to depend upon God in hard times was a blessing.

“The scriptures speak often and eloquently of God’s particular love for the poor, the outcasts, the widows and the orphans. These were the “clients” of Father McGivney’s remarkable priestly ministry. The life and work of Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney is a witness to the truth that one can be happy and enjoy a rich life of union with God even when deprived of material necessities.

“Father McGivney is a great patron for us as we face the struggles of the 21st century. He teaches us how to find meaning in all of the moral relativism and materialism of our time.

Fraternally yours,
Respect Life Chairman,
George H. Kubeck

Bishop Fulton Sheen - The Virgin Mary - Communism

Bishop Fulton Sheen – The Virgin Mary – Communism

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – 10th Anniversary of 9/11 -Sunday, Sep. 11, 2011

Preface: Again thanks to William A. Borst, PH.D, (BBPROF@sbcglobal.net ) for the August, 2011, Cardinal Mindszenty Report titled, The Gramsci Stratagem – “The Blessed Mother and the Feminist Attack on Women.” The following are excerpts of this report:

“As an adult Sheen extended his compassion, thanks to his relationship with the Blessed Mother, to those suffering under Communist yoke. In Gaelic Fulton means war and Sheen means peace, a Toltoyan oxymoron that had to be inspired by the Lord of History.

“Because of Marxism the world is obsessed with the love of the body and in denial of the spirit. This is at the essence of the culture war. One side seeks the constant pleasure of an artificial earthly paradise while the other yearns for eternal life with God.

“A Godless Cross: Sheen dedicated his life to the defeat of Soviet Communism and its hold on America. Because of his devotion to Mary, Sheen made ten visits to Our Lady’s shrine in Fatima. Of Mary’s many apparitions, Fatima had the most significance… the importance of Fatima centered on its message. Sheen saw four things in Fatima. First, he came to realize that Communism was an evil that was trying to conquer the world and destroy the Catholic Church. This warning has taken on a more ominous tone during the tenure of the more subtle disruptions of the Marxist culture war.

“Secondly, Sheen believed in the Blessed Mother’s ability to combat the evils of the world…

“Thirdly, Sheen believed that Our Lady called for constant conversion from the world to Christ. For him, the West had Christ, but without the cross, it lacked the necessary discipline, self-denial, and mortification. He called this Western conception a soft, effeminate Christ Who cannot save us! In contrast, the Communist world had the godless cross of oppression, persecution, and suffering.

“Fourthly, At Fatima the Blessed Virgin spoke about the battle being waged in these perilous times, ravaged by wars, economic hardships and worst of all, a malaise of religious faith. The worst death is that of a soul who loses faith, isolating himself from the healing power of God’s love. Bishop Sheen also saw in Fatima a hope for the Muslim people. He regarded Fatima as, not just an invitation for the conversion of Russia, but also the Muslim world as well. Fatima then also speaks to another aspect of the culture war with Islam that disguises itself as the war on terror.

“Bishop Sheen recognized the importance of the Rosary in the Fatima message. The Blessed Mother asked in each of her appearances: Pray the Rosary every day! She also stressed the power of the Rosary. The Rosary can end wars! The Rosary can bring peace! …

the Rosary has been credited with overwhelming European victory over the Muslims’ fleet at the Battle of Lepanto on Oct. 7, 1571. This date is now celebrated as the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary…. Sheen prayed the Rosary daily… “

George H. Kubeck – Pray for Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis that she will make a decision pleasing to God.

FYI: AT ISSUE - PRO-ABORTION CATHOLIC POLITICIANS - WRITTEN 6 YEARS AGO - POSTED SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2011 -

CENSOR THE CINOP: END THE FRAUD AND THE CATHOLC LABEL

Our Sacred Honor # 6 of 6

This is the sixth E-mail letter to you our Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson, Knights of Columbus. They are sent prior to the great Convention which you and your committee have planned in Chicago, August 3-5th, 2005. (Columbia@kofc.com)

People need the truth. We need courage to speak the truth. The truth about abortion and marriage is a matter of life and death. Everything is a gray area for dissenters. God came up with life and marriage. It has to be done His way.

What are the lessons from Canada where nominal pro-abortion Catholic politicians passed this month the same sex marriage C-38? We witnessed political correctness & the dissenter’s religious correctness. It sacrificed the truth and natural law. We ended up with a Canadian Catholic Church leadership that is shameful & scandalous.

As Knights, we have a special loyalty and relationship with our Holy Father past and present, and it overrides any other. Dissenters believe that they are wiser than Pope John Paul II. We have at least 100,000 Knights in Canada. Hopefully, at the next election their faith supersedes party affiliation. On the matter of pro-abortion U.S.A. Catholic politicians, our Shepherds put us into this predicament.

They could have easily resolved this matter 25 years ago in accordance with Cannon Law. Sadly, I recall a case in Los Angeles where a pro-abortion Catholic politician Knight was blocked from removal by our bishop. On Apr. 22, 05, we met our local pro-abort State Senator. He suggested we check Mario Cuomo on the Internet. I found his writings clever but hogwash.

Let’s focus in on the following news items from LifeSiteNews.com 7/25/05

“In mid-July, the Windsor Star newspaper (in Canada) conducted a survey contacting 51 Catholic MP’s who had voted in favor of homosexual ‘marriage.’ While most did not respond, 11 said they were not reprimanded in any way, four refused to say, 34 were unavailable and two NDP MP’s noted their reprimands.”

“Public Discomfort With Canadian Bishops’ Approach to Catholic Politicians Growing: …In a column, published in the Ottawa Citizen on Sunday, David Warren. A recent convert to Catholicism writes … It can be no secret that the majority of Canadian Catholic bishops… run away from almost any opportunity to defend the faith they were entrusted to defend…. Some appear to be themselves opposed to most Church teaching.

It is thus left to the laity to do for the Catholic Church that for which its “hands on” leadership have not the stomach.”

“According to Francis Cardinal Arinze, the Vatican’s chief over the administration of the sacraments, the denial of Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians is a no-brainer.”

“In a book-length interview with journalist Peter Seewald, the future Pope Benedict XVI said of bishops whose first instinct is to avoid conflicts, ‘Peace is not the first civic duty and a bishop whose only concern is not to have any problems and to gloss over as many conflicts as possible is an image I find repulsive.’”

Ours is the faith of our fathers and mothers. With the daily rosary and weekly Eucharistic adoration, we strengthen our religious integrity. Once a Catholic, always a Catholic 100%! We love Pope Benedict XVI, the Magisterium, and our priests and bishops. The gates of hell shall not prevail.

"CENSOR THE CINOP: STOP THE FRAUD AND THE CATHOLIC LABEL"

OUR SACRED HONOR # 5 OF 6

This is the fifth E-mail letter to you our Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson, Knights of Columbus. There is excitement & pride as we approach the 123rd yearly
Convention of the Knights of Columbus in Chicago on Aug. 3-5th, 2005. The dark clouds are the pro-abortion Catholic politicians. In Canada, they are implementing same-sex marriage.

There is no need for despair. The problem and solution are spiritual. It’s about faith and fidelity. It’s about prayer, the Rosary, and Eucharistic Adoration. It’s about Trust in the Lord and the Holy Spirit. It’s about tough love. We have to think out of the box and do things differently. I recall the monthly pro-life messages in the past years.

1) Dec. /02 - Pope John Paul II prayed for changes in Poland without violence…. The Pope credits his victory to Mary and believes that Christ will conquer through her, because he wants the Church’s victories to be now and in the future to be linked to her.

2) Oct. /02 -The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary falls on Oct. 7th. It was on that day in 1571 that the European Christian fleet won a crucial victory over the Moslems at Lepanto. The victory was attributed to the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, invoked through the praying of the Rosary. On Oct. 13, 1917 Our Blessed Mother appeared for the sixth time to three children at Fatima, Portugal. Our Lady asked the children to pray the Rosary. She then identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary.

3) Sep. /02 - Pope John Paul II prayed the Rosary daily…. At the World Youth Day, Aug. 15th, 1993, in Denver, “Be not afraid to go out into the streets and into the public places like the first apostles, who preached Christ and the good news of salvation in the squares of cities, towns, and villages.”

4) July/02 - Pope John Paul II Journey to America, Oct. 7, 1995 Feast of the Holy Rosary, “Like Mary you are called to respect the mystery of life, the life of the unborn babies, helping mothers in difficult situations, pray against abortions, violence done against women, against pornography. Stand up for the aged & the handicapped, against assisted suicide & euthanasia. Stand up for purity, marriage and family life. Resist the pressures & temptations of the world. You must help the Holy Spirit & do this with the help of Mary, the mother of Jesus, the rosary & the power of the Holy Spirit is with you.”

5) Feb. /03 - This is also the work of Priests for Life. In January, Founding Director Father Frank Pavone invited pro-life activists to join him in peaceful sidewalk demonstrations throughout New York City to educate the public regarding the reality of abortion. As with every reform movement, including Christianity, we have to go to them.

6) July/03 - The members of the Father Michael J. McGivney Guild know that our founder is the Apostle for the 21st Century, Apostle to the Young, and Protector of Christian Family Life. Where in America are the least of our brothers? Where are about 400,000 Catholic mothers duped yearly? They are at the abortion facilities. Our Lady’s Great Commission is for all Christians to pray at least one hour each month at the nearby abortion or Planned Parenthood facility. Catholics can also pray the new Mysteries of Light for peace, the family and conversion, a change of hearts and minds.

In closing, we are co-workers in the legacy of Pope John Paul II. #1 of 2

OUR SACRED HONOR #4 of 6

This is the fourth in a series of E-mail letters to you our Supreme Knight Carl A. Andersen of the Knights of Columbus. The letters remain focused on pro-abortion Catholic politicians and to be sent prior to the National Convention in Chicago in Aug.

The pro-abortion Catholic politicians are a scandal that cries out to high heaven. I recall a California’s Governor Election in the 90’s. Pro-life candidate Lundgren got the non-catholic Christian vote and lost to pro-abortion catholic Davis who got the Catholic vote. Also, in the 2000 presidential election, the pro-life winner got the Christian vote and the pro-abortion loser got the Catholic vote. It was a miracle the winner got elected. Silence on our part seems like a cover-up for a political party and a Church scandal.

Last week, I finished reading George Weigel’s book, “The Courage to be Catholic.” It is a great analysis and guide. Another great information tape is the Main Mass Homilies given by Father Shannon Collins and Father Bill Casey at the National Catholic Conference in Anaheim, Calif. July 12, 13, 2003. This July 23-24, there is another Conference in Anaheim. Their telephone number is (877)-526-2151.

Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver hit the nail on the head. “The abortion issue cannot be avoided. It’s the central moral conflict of this moment in our nation’s history. Every abortion kills an unborn child. Every abortion leaves a woman emotionally scarred. Every abortion is a grave act of violence. All these things fundamentally damage the common good.”

I take what is written in our monthly magazine Columbia for the last ten years literally and not figuratively. You mean what you say and you say what you mean. You are totally in the footsteps of Pope John Paul II. He was not soft when dealing with the communists and secular humanists in Poland. Neither should we be with the allies of secular humanism in our country. Our Sacred Honor is to be who we are. We do not accommodate a culture of death either in Canada or in the United States.

From Vatican, July 5, 2005 (LifesiteNews.com) John Paul II also stressed the need for Catholics to maintain the fullness of the Church’s teachings and not to pick and choose the teachings as they see fit. Speaking to the Bishops of the U.S.A at Queen of Angels Seminary in Los Angeles on Sept. 16, 1987, Pope John Paul II stated.

“It is sometimes reported that a large number of Catholics today do not adhere to the teaching of the Catholic Church on a number of questions, notably sexual and conjugal morality, divorce and remarriage. Some are reported as not accepting the clear position on abortion. It has been noted that there is a tendency on the part of some Catholics to be selective in their adherence to the Church’s moral teachings. It is sometime claimed that dissent from the Magisterium is totally compatible with being a ‘good catholic’ and poses no obstacle to the reception of the Sacraments. This is a grave error that challenges the teaching of the Bishops in the United States and elsewhere.”

Pope Benedict XVI has also called for a halt to Cafeteria Catholicism. The members are looking for your strong leadership as relating to pro-abortion politicians.

OUR SACRED HONOR #3 of 6
This the third in a series of E-mail letters to you Our Supreme Knight Carl A. Andersen of the Knights of Columbus. The focus remains on pro-abortion Catholic politicians. Greetings! A Happy Fourth of July! E-mail sent to Columbia@kofc.org

I’m reminded of a most powerful and classic talk, Engaging the Culture, given by Dr. Jim Dobson to the Religious Broadcaster Association in 2002 in which he said, “Since when have we become timid about addressing the moral issues of our day.”

Anyone who reads our monthly magazine, Columbia realizes that we are one of the most Catholic organizations in the world. We love our Church and priests unconditionally. We are faithful followers of Pope John Paul II, and the Magisterium. We are devoted to Mary the Mother of Jesus, the Rosary and the Eucharist. We finance the pro-life movement in the U.S.A. We are proud to be Catholic and American.

In a community of believers, we pray and must pursue and preach the truth. The naked truth is that pro-abortion Catholic politicians are not Catholic and ought not to be treated as Catholics.

I believe that the passage of the same sex ‘marriage bill’ C-38 in Canada is a stroke of lightning for truth and action. When the Canadian Senate approves C-38 later on this month, I expect Deputy Supreme Knight Jean Migneault of Canada to come out with a statement that this law will not stand. We will defeat those who voted for the bill in the next election. Our faith supersedes our political registration.

The lesson from Canada is the simple. Unless the Knights of Columbus step up to the plate with leadership, information and direction the same thing will happen here.

It’s the laity that will save the Church and our nation from moral disintegration and destruction. The key leaders for Catholics in the U.S.A. are the Knights of Columbus. We must move quickly for a U.S. Constitutional Amendment to protect marriage.

May I share with you exhibit D:

I had a teach-in on pro-abortion politician Representative Loretta Sanchez
Where: Albertson’s Supermarket, State College St. Anaheim, Calif.: When Sat. Aug. 18, 2001, 10:30 A.M.-l2:30 P.M. What: Loretta Sanchez’s Monthly Community Meeting
I hand delivered a letter to her office in Garden Grove, dated May 4th, 2001

That letter reads, “It seems to me that the idea of a pro-abortion Catholic is about as ridiculous as Catholics for a free-choice or the pro-adultery Catholic sitting in the church pews. Could we talk or communicate on this subject? Please share the three enclosures with your pastor or bishop? I believe that the independent and informed Catholic laity prefers persuasion and dialogue on this subject rather than protests or teach-ins.”

Sincerely yours, GHK.

Her personal comment to me and others at the teach-in is that a majority of Catholics are pro-abortion and one of her helpers said he was Catholic and pro-abortion. I did send similar letters to the other pro-partial birth abortion Catholic Congressional Delegation: Joe Baca, Xavier Becerra, Anna Eshoo, Grace Napolitano, Nancy Pelosi, Lucille Royball-Allard, Ellen Taucher, Mike Thompson and George Miller.

OUR SACRED HONOR # 2 of 6

This is the second in a series of E-mail letters to you our Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson of the Knights of Columbus. The focus remains: pro-abortion Catholic politicians. These politicians are an albatross around the neck of our Catholic faith.

“Enlighten our minds to an awareness and to a renewed conviction that all human life is sacred because it is created in your image and likeness. Help us to teach by word and example of our lives that life occupies the first place, that human life is precious because it is the gift of God whose love is infinite.” Pray the Rosary to End Abortion, a Knights of Columbus prayer card. (Adapted from Pope John Paul II Homily, Capital Mall, Oct. 7, 1979)

Blocking the removal of pro-abortion Catholic politicians from membership in the Knights of Columbus is wrong. It is contrary to the spirit, mind, and heart of our role models, Father Michael J. McGivney, Pope John Paul II, and our pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI. There is a civil war going on in America. We are for a traditional America and pro-abortion politicians are for a secular America. (For your info: (Columbia@kofc.org))

Please support the following reasonable consequences to their public actions.

1)Resolutions of censure by individual councils. You can suggest the wording.

2)Likewise, a short prayer for the “conversion of pro-abortion Catholic politicians” at council meetings.

3)Public prayers (in particular the Rosary) by their offices or at nearby Abortion and Planned Parenthood sites.

4)Add the words ‘born and unborn’ to the final words of the Pledge of Allegiance.

May I share with you exhibit C: Ottawa, June 28, 2005, (LifeSiteNews.com)

At 9 P.M. June 28, Canada’s Liberal government passed, without significant amendment, third and final reading of it same-sex ‘marriage’ bill C-38 by a vote of 158 for to 133 against. Canada now joins Holland and Belgium as the only three countries in the world to have legalized these radical redefinition of the institution of marriage. Will the same thing will happen in America?

The following are comments by Jim Hughes president of the Canadian national pro-life organization. “I think it is because there has been very little and very weak spiritual leadership and very little spiritual formation on the major issues of the day. The churches and other faith institutions and places of worship have turned a blind eye and haven’t addressed the major issues of the day….

We were told by many people in the Church not to judge, ‘don’t judge others’. This crept into the school system and instead of having young people trained on what is right or wrong, the emphasis became what feels good and in your own conscience, “what you think is right”?

That all goes back to Winnipegitis, that is, the Winnipeg Statement of 1968, with the Canadian Catholic bishops failing to support the papal encyclical Humanae Vitae on human life. All of the decisions since then, in large part, can be traced back to a loss of faith. There are no objective standards of morality.”

OUR SACRED HONOR # 1 OF 6

This is the first in a series of E-mail letters to you our Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson of the Knights of Columbus. (Columbia@kofc.org) Copies will be sent to fellow Knights, friends and associates. The letters focus on matters related to pro-abortion Catholic politicians. Today, these politicians are leaders for a secular America promoting same sex -marriage, assisted suicide, and embryonic stem cell research. Is this a new religion of Catholic relativism and accommodation with the culture of death part of the Catholic Church in the Americas?

As a brother Knight, I prayed for another St. Thomas More. But the faith and the backbone in these politicians were not there. This is a most serious crisis of faith and a scandal. I believe Knights of Columbus has an important role to play.

May I share with you exhibit A:
The Conference of Catholic Bishops recommended that the following postcard be mailed to our Senators in Congress. “All human beings deserve respect and protection from harm, especially those who are most defenseless. Yet the U.S. Supreme Court, in the Roe vs. Wade, violated these principles when it created a new “right” to abortion throughout pregnancy. Because of Roe, the Court has ruled that even children who are partially born can be killed. As your constituent, I urge you not to require support for Roe v. Wade as a condition for determining a nominee’s fitness for judicial office.”

On the Senate Judicial Committee we have pro-abortion Catholic politicians, like Senators Kennedy, Leahy, Dodd and Durbin etc. subverting the intent of the above postcard. At least one Senator is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
May I share with you exhibit B:

Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin is forcing members of the Canadian parliament to daily sit in the House until as late as midnight in order to ram through same-sex ‘marriage’ Bill C-38. He is quoted, “I am actually a very strong Roman Catholic,” “But I am also a legislator, and I believe that clearly what I’ve got to do is to take the widest perspective possible. And that perspective leads to me to believe that the Charter of Rights is a fundamental pillar of our democracy.”

Calgary Bishop Fred Henry wrote a pastoral letter in which he informed his flock that the media’s portrayal of the Prime Minister (Paul Martin) as a ‘devout Catholic’ was inaccurate given his public support for abortion and homosexual ‘marriage’. He would deny the Prime Minister communion and would consider excommunicating him. “He’s putting at risk his eternal salvation. … He is making a morally grave error and he (Paul Martin) is not being accountable to God.”

In conclusion, what would our Founder Father Michael J. McGivney do? Didn’t our bishops read and study Pope John Paul’s encyclicals, The Gospel of Life and The Splendor of Truth? Will they listen to Pope Benedict XVI?

"Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis - Resign!

CINOP “Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis” – Resign!
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, September 7, 2011

This lady is a poster person for all Catholic-in-name-only politicians in America. Catholic News Service* wrote her up as a Labor Day hero and presented her as a paragon of Catholics in political life. This is a sad believable story. However, it is a teaching moment for all American Catholic voters. Here is how the CNS article presented her.

“The Office of Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis includes images of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a glass crucifix and sculpture of Mary and Jesus. Her Catholic faith, she said, “is a part of my life. My faith is what motivates me.”

“The lessons her faith teaches about hope, about helping others, about seeking higher things is something woven into the fabric of her daily life, she said. My faith is what motivates me.”

“During an Aug. 30 telephone interview, Solis spoke about the lessons she learned from her parents,* devout Catholics and hard working immigrants who raised seven children in the Los Angeles area and attended St. Louis de France Parish in La Puente.”

How can Hilda say the above when she voted against the Catholic positions in Congress as follows?

l. Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act – passage (110th) 2. Marriage Amendment Act (109th)

3. Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (109th) 4. Abortion in military medical facilities (109th)

5. Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act – passage (109th) 6. Human Cloning Ban: passage (108th)

7. Coercive abortion / United Nations Population Fund (109th)

8. Partial-Birth Abortion Ban: passage (108th) 9. Unborn Victims of Violence Act (108th)

The above is a very serious matter. We seem to have within the Catholic Church a multi-faced Catholic-in–name-only religion. It is the religion of the CINOP and their supporters within the Church. Sadly, Hilda betrayed not only the Catholic faith of her parents but her American Latino heritage.

And to sacrifice your faith and principles for this! It’s the only way to run for office and get elected via Planned Parenthood monies and their allies. Use the Catholic label as you run for office.

Are you aware that the votes of Congresswomen Nancy Pelosi and Loretta Sanchez are similar to that of Hilda Solis? Catholic Latino voters have been duped and made fools of. Many still believe that these three representatives are truly pro-life, pro-marriage and pro-family.

George H. Kubeck, [Pray that Hilda may redeem herself by becoming a pro-life leader to convert the CINOP.]
* “CNS stories are widely used in diocesan newspapers across the country. The news agency was established in 1920 by US Bishops. The CINOP's Pathetic Excuses!

The CINOP’S Pathetic Excuses!
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Where do we start? Let’s start with the indirect and direct supporters of the CINOP; the Catholic religious magazines, The National Catholic Reporter, Commonweal and America. Also read Matthew 23: 1-39. [Thanks to an old copy of America Needs Fatima, www.tfp.com , June 16, 2004 as follows:]

• That in rebelling against Church teaching on abortion and homosexuality they are following the dictates of conscience. However, conscience is not the source of morality. The objective norm of morality is God’s law known to us through our rational nature (natural law) and by divine revelation (divine positive law). Therefore, although our conscience perceives the natural moral law and makes it present to us in order to guide our action, it does not create this law…

• That proclaiming Church teaching is imprudent and divisive. However what divides is not the truth but our position in face of it… [Let’s stop and get along with SB.48. - Never!]

• That strict fidelity to Church discipline will lead to increased bigotry and persecution against the Church… [We are not supporters of the “spirit of the world.” We are proclaiming VERITAS.]

• That denying Holy Communion to ostensibly pro-abortion and pro-homosexual Catholics will drive them from the Church… [Anybody can run for office and call themselves Catholic. We don’t need these phonies and frauds who besmirch our Catholic Faith in the public arena. We have standards with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the writings of Blessed Pope John II and Pope Benedict XVI. Ordinary Catholic laity gets this message. Catholic bishops need to proclaim this.]

• That denying Holy Communion to government officials who systematically vote in favor of abortion and homosexuality is to “politicize” the Eucharist and turn the Blessed Sacrament into a weapon… [It is the CINOP that is politicizing Communion. He should be ashamed of himself.]

• That it unfair to deny to deny Holy Communion to Catholics in favor of abortion and homosexuality, and not to Catholics in favor of the death penalty or the war on terror. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT A VALID COMPARISON. THE CHURCH HAS ALWAYS AND EVERYWHERE TAUGHT THAT ABORTION, HOMOSEXUALITY AND EUTHANISIA ARE INTRINICALLY EVIL. IT DOES NOT TEACH THE SAME REGARDING THE DEATH PENALTY OR JUST WAR…

• [It would be wise to offer a course in each parish between prudential issues and those that are absolutely and intrinsically evil. It is a needed education for Catholic voters. I recall a California State Assembly lady from Eureka sponsoring an Assisted –Suicide Bill in California. But she was such a wonderful person in tune with Catholic social justice issues. The bottom line on election-day, we don’t vote for her.]

• [A CINOP who promotes and is with a political party that promotes partial-birth abortions, the gay agenda including same-sex marriage and Embryonic Stem-cell Research monies is in my mind the equivalent of a culture of death supporter of fornication, adultery and pornography.]

• [We must work for the crushing defeat of the CINOP in the 2012 election campaign throughout the country. We do this in spite of the billion dollar Obama campaign money on the CINOP’s side.]

SB. 48 Must Be Stopped!

SB.48 Must Be Stopped!
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Labor Day, September 5, 2011

Ref. Paulo@stopsb48.com and info@californiafamily.org

1. SB. 48 is the law. It will mandate that California’s public education system include the societal contributions of homosexuals, bisexual, and transgender person into the state’s social science curriculum, yet the content cannot include information that may reflect negatively on that population’s behaviors.

2. From a Los Angeles Times editorial: It is not the role or responsibility of legislators to make decisions on educational curriculum. Representatives are not elected by the people in order to force their own politicized content into public education. SB 48 would diminish the intellectual integrity or our curriculum. Decisions on content for textbooks and instructional materials should remain in the hands of qualified educators.

3. Placing SB 48 into law would weaken parents’ rights. The curriculum of SB 48 would conflict with the worldviews of millions of California’s parents, yet there is no legal recourse for parents to keep their own children from this content. Compelling children to participate in curriculum that contradicts a family’s cultural or religious perspectives can only result in heightened tensions between California’s educational system & the citizens it claims to serve.

4. SB 48 will teach children as young as five to only accept but also endorse transgenderism, bisexuality, and homosexuality through our social science curriculum history, history books and instructional materials. The Media and others call SB 48 the “Gay History Bill,” however, SB 48 goes even further. The bill casts a wide-reaching net that includes all social sciences like economics, government, and cultural and social anthropology.

5. Furthermore, SB 48 ties the hands of teachers and administrators at the local level and often contradicts what students are taught at home. It also requires teachers and administrators to enter into the divisive debate over sexual orientation and morality and to portray only one side of that debate. Essentially teachers and administrators are being asked not to tolerate but to advocate.

Churches and pastors are essential to qualifying this referendum. If we had 700 churches gather 1,000 signatures, the referendum would more than qualify for the ballot and we could overturn SB 48. According to the Pacific Justice Institute attorney Kevin Snyder, churches have a legal right, among other things to hold signature-gathering drives for the referendum.

[An ounce of prevention now is worth a pound of cure.]

As Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles so eloquently stated, “The family is God’s first beautiful gift to us. Because each one of us came into this world as the fruit of mother and a father’s love… [SB 48] is another example of the government interfering with parents’ rights to be their primary educators.”

Pondering and Wrestling with CINOP Mindset

Pondering and Wrestling with the CINOP Mindset

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – St. Gregory the Great, Pope, and Doctor, 9-3-2011

September Papal Intentions: Teachers. We pray that all teachers may know how to communicate the love of truth and instill authentic moral and spiritual values.

I believe that there is a mindset among some of the bishops in California, New York and Massachusetts that will consider what follows irrelevant. Even with the crisis of division within the Church, the evidence* is conclusive. We have serious problems with the Catholic-in-name-only politicians. They promote same-sex marriage in the U.S.A. as they did in Canada in 2005. The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Catholic laity can no longer put up with this silence.

I am a retired public school teacher. Shame on CINOP Governor Jerry Brown for signing S.B. 48! This is the gay agenda information and indoctrination of school age children from kindergarten to the 12th grade in the social studies classes. The Los Angeles Times editorial was opposed to this law. The Orange County Register which supports same-sex marriage did not have the guts to write an editorial on S.B. 48.

There is a petition drive to repeal S.B. 48 and put it on the ballot and have California voters decide. The Catholic Church in California has a duty to have signatures collected after Mass. There are only 60 days left to gather signatures.

In New York, we saw CINOP Governor Andrew Cuomo promote and pass a same-sex marriage law in June. When the CINOP Jerry Brown was Attorney General he did not defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). This law was passed by Congress during the Clinton administration.

The focus should also be on the souls of the homosexual person and the Catholic-in-name-only politicians. There needs to be a complete explanation of what is involved in the lifestyle of the gay person which includes the health hazards and life expectancy. Also, how in the world can you have a Catholic funeral for any CINOP? All of this pretend business and hypocrisy is sickening!

We must put an end to this public fraud. The mantra of this blog henceforth will be AFTER EACH LETTER: CENSOR THE CINOP! END FRAUD: NO CATHOLIC LABEL WHEN HE OR SHE RUNS FOR OFFICE!

We have these phonies in almost every state of the union. Here are several of the most notorious.

Congresswomen Nancy Pelosi, Loretta and Linda Sanchez, Lucille Roybal-Allard, Grace Napolitano, [There are about 50 more in Congress.]

Senators Tom Harkin, Barbara Mikulski, John Kerry, Claire McCaskill, Robert Mendez, Patrick Leahy, Richard Durbin, Mary Landrieu, Maria Cantwell, Patty Murray…

*CINOPS BE GONE – Dedicated to the exposure and removal of Catholic-in-name-only politicians. St. Thomas More is our model and patron. [Since 2007 over 1200 letters.]

Groseclose: Pernicious effects of Media Bias!

Groseclose: Pernicious effects of Media Bias
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, September 1, 2011

The book by Tim Groseclose is called “Left Turn.” The Washington Times has this poignant and insightful article by Tim on Tues., July 26, 2011 – via http://washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jul/26/pernicious-effects-of-media-bias/print/ Get your own Political Quotient at his Web site: www.timgroseclose.com/calculate-your-pq

It is a well-told story that the mainstream media – at least to a small degree – have a liberal bias. It’s surprising, then, that few people have examined, or even asked, a potentially more important question: Does the bias matter?* If the media reports the news with a certain slant, how does it affect those who take in the content?

For the past several years, I have researched this question, trying to solve the
following thought experiment: What if the media were suddenly to disappear? In such a world, how would America look and act politically? The answer is, approximately like Texas.

More specifically, if media bias were to disappear, according to the analysis, then America would think and vote like any region that voted around 56-43 percent for Republican John McCain in the last presidential election. Besides Texas, such regions include Kansas, North Dakota, Kentucky, Salt Lake County, Utah, and Orange County, Calif.

THAT THE MEDIA HAS SUCH AN INFLUENCE IS A STRONG CLAIM BUT IS BACKED UP BY THE SCIENCE.

The conclusions draw upon recent studies by some highly respected economists and political scientists. For instance, one study, conducted by Yale researchers Alan Gerber, Dean Karlan and Daniel Bergan, is akin to a biology experiment. To one set of randomly selected voters in Northern Virginia, the researchers gave trial subscriptions to the Washington Post.

To another set, they gave trial subscriptions to the Washington Times. After the subsequent election, the researchers polled their subjects and found that their Post-subscribing subject voted for the Democrat at a 3.9 percentage higher than did the Times-subscribing subjects. That is, the more liberal newspaper truly seemed to cause people vote more liberally.

After aggregating the results of this and similar studies, one finds an inescapable conclusion: Newspapers, television, radio and online media are extremely influential, especially over consumers’ political views. For example, the results imply that if the “slant quotient” of the entire media 34 points leftward – approximately the difference between Fox News’ Special Report and The New York Times – then the “political quotient” of the average voter would move about 24 points leftward.

The latter shift is approximately the difference between the average voter in Colorado or Iowa and the average voter in Rhode Island or Mass… It’s time the public wakes up. Media bias is more significant, complex and pernicious than people realize.

George H. Kubeck, P.S. *what we have is liberal politically correct indoctrination, particularly of young Americans! It is a tragedy for California. We have a legislature that is financially, intellectually and morally bankrupt. It has a mindset that includes the promotion of the gay agenda with new social studies books.
