California: A Basket Case Economically and Morally

California: A Basket Case Economically and Morally
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, June 30, 2011

Political correctness is a cover for secularism devastating our state. A law signed by Jerry Brown last week mandates new renewable energy requirement for electric utilities in the state.

The new law requires that 33 percent of electricity generated be done with “renewable” sources, essentially wind mills and solar panels by the end of the year 2020. Now if 37 million reduce their “carbon footprint” by a third (a very tall order), that will reduce humanity’s carbon dioxide by one-sixth of one percent, I hate to tell my fellow Californians, but there is no way on earth that will make an iota’s worth of difference. [This is the belief by Ron Ross in his article in the American Spectator, Self-destruction: http://spectator.org/archives/2011/04/21/california-descends-deeper-int/print ]

“At the signing ceremony Governor Brown said, “It’s about California leading the country. It’s America leading the world. There are people who think we can drill our way to happiness and prosperity. Instead of taking oil from thousands of miles away, we’re taking the sun and converting it.” Brown went on to say quite proudly, ‘I didn’t get my name Governor Moonbeam for nothing.’”

“A recent Public Utilities Commission study found that previously imposed renewable energy regulations have added $6 billion to what utilities have had to spend generating electricity since 2002… Such taxes are even worse than increasing taxes. Taxes at least have the potential to create value when spent on… example, teachers’ salaries. Taxes distribute wealth, mandates destroy wealth.

“In a spot-on “Wall Street Journal” column last year entitled ”California: The Lindsay Lohan of States,” Allysia Finley ( a former resident of California) pointed out that our government here is being “run by a brothel of environmentalists, lawyers, public-sector unions and legislative bums.”

We have a new secular religion. Do you remember the disastrous 6 billion embryonic stem-cell research bond and now the new and harmful definition of gender in the State’s education code?

For more secular religion, let’s check out “California’s Family Council’s” Legislative Bill Update: The following bills regarded expanded “rights” for homosexuals, bisexuals, and transgender persons”

Assembly Bill 433 (B Lowenthal, D, Long Beach) Transgender Birth Certificates ===
Assembly Bill 620 – (Block, D- San Diego) would greatly expand the special rights of homosexual students and faculty at public colleges etc.

This week for Assembly floor debate: Senate Bill 48 – Promotion of Homosexual Lifestyle in Public Education: Senator Mark Leno’s bill seeks to interject controversial politics into California’s classrooms, textbooks and instructional material at a time we already have a battered and dysfunctional California school system.

False Ideas are Killing America

False Ideas are Killing America
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, June 27, 2011

Among the elite in America what kind of ideas has produced the following? They don’t care!

•Every black child conceived faces a 50% chance of being aborted.

•Every black child that escapes the hands of an abortionist has a 70% chance of living in a fatherless household.

•Every year, $400 billion is spent to fight the War on Poverty, and the rate of out of wedlock births in the black community soared from 22% in the 1960’s to 72% today.

•Since the start of the War on Poverty, its cost American taxpayers $1.3 billion and the black poverty rate has remained at 25% since the 1960’s. Meanwhile, crime rates in these communities have sky rocketed.

•The Southern Poverty Law Center, a far-left group, has labeled 18 Christian organizations as hate groups because they support traditional marriage.

In 1968, there appeared a book edited by Gary and James Weaver, The University and Revolution. It offered strategies and proposals for taking over our colleges and higher education.

•Dismiss any notion that there is a “hierarchy of values” as mere “snobbery.” Nothing, in their view, makes academic pursuit “inherently more valuable than that of a gardener.”

•An end to selecting the brightest students and submitting them to a rigorous course of study, in favor of using higher education to advance a radical social agenda.

•Discarding the disinterested pursuit of knowledge for its own sake, and embracing the “problem-centered” university, which would “combine study with action.”

•Eliminating the grading system to “get to the point where the critical indicator is the subjective view of the person about the value of the course he took.”

Lastly, among Catholics, the New York Republican Senator Mark Grisanti has turned out to be a Stupak traitor, a useful idiot and a CINOP for the culture of death. This is a most serious matter!

*“The Bishops of N.Y. State oppose in the strongest possible terms any attempt to redefine the sacred institution of marriage… Marriage has always been, is now, and always will be the union of one man and woman in a lifelong, life-giving union.

Government does not have the authority to change this most basic of truths.
However … Senator Mark Grisanti, in a speech moments before the vote, from simultaneously proclaiming his “Catholic” identity, and saying that “reason” had led him to throw his support behind gay “marriage.” “After doing months of “research” he cannot legally come up with an argument against same-sex marriage. Who am I to say that someone does not have the same rights that I have with my wife?”… [Liberal Catholic-in-name-only politicians (CINOPs) are sadly screwed up in their thinking and destructive politicians.]

*June 24, 2011LifeSiteNews.com – John Jalsevac, Breaking: Gay Marriage passes in New York

George H. Kubeck, In California we have at least 20 useful idiots like the above. In Canada CINOPs were the ones who passed same-sex marriage in 2005. This must not happen in California or the U.S.A. Contact the bishops!

G.K. Chesterton's Book St.Thomas Aquinas

G.K. Chesterton’s Book St. Thomas Aquinas
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, June 25, 2011

There are at least six significant anecdotes on St. Thomas in Chesterton’s own words:

In the lecture room of Albert the Great, there was one student, conspicuous by his tall and bulky figure, and completely failing or refusing to be conspicuous. He was called the Dumb Ox. He was the object, not merely of mockery, but of pity. The great Albert broke the silence with his famous cry and prophecy, “You call him a Dumb Ox; I tell you this Dumb Ox shall bellow so loud that his bellowing will fill the world.” Both men became close friends in the central fight of the Middle Ages.

We have records of a great many cases in which complete strangers wrote to ask St. Thomas questions, and sometimes rather ridiculous questions. Somebody asked him whether the names of all the blessed were written on a scroll exhibited in heaven. He wrote back with untiring calm; “So far as I can see, this is not the case, but there is no harm in saying so.”

There is the celebrated story of the miracle of the crucifix; when in the stillness of the church of St Dominic in Naples, a voice spoke from the craven Christ, and told the kneeling Friar Thomas that he had written rightly, and offered him the choice of a reward among all the things of the world. But he might have asked for things that he really wanted, as he wanted the lost manuscript of St. Chrysostom. The answer of St. Thomas, when lifted at last his head and spoke with, and for, that almost blasphemous audacity, which is one with the humility of his religion; “I will have Thyself.” “Only Thyself.”

When St. Thomas was stationed in Paris, the other Doctors of the Sorbonne put before him a problem about the nature of the mystical change in the elements of the Blessed Sacrament, and he proceeded to write, in his customary manner, a very careful and elaborately lucid statement of his solution. He felt with hearty simplicity the heavy responsibility and gravity of such a judicial decision. He sought for guidance in more than usually prolonged prayer and intercession. He threw down his thesis at the foot of the altar, and left it lying there; as if awaiting judgment. Then he came down the altar steps and buried himself once more in prayer. The other Friars were watching. For they declared afterwards that the figure of Christ had come down from the cross before their mortal eyes; and stood upon the scroll, saying,”Thomas, thou hast written well concerning the Sacrament of My Body.”

“I can write no more.” Something happened (it is said while he was celebrating Mass) the nature of which will never be known among mortal men. His friend Reginald asked him to return to his equally regular habits of writing, and following the controversies of the hour. St. Thomas said with a singular emphasis, “I can write no more. I have seen things which make all my writings like straw.”

In 1274 the pope asked Aquinas to come to a Council to be held at Lyons. On the journey and proposing to rest for the night with his sister, to whom he was deeply devoted and came into her house; he was stricken down with some unnamed malady. He confessed his sins and received his God and asked to have the “Song of Solomon” read to him from beginning to end.

Drug War is Drowning Mexico

Drug War is Drowning Mexico
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, June 24, 2011

Everything possible must be done for all Americans to become informed and shine the light on the drug war in Mexico. How can we help? If we don’t care the same violence will happen to us in America. There are two articles in the Orange County Register, CA. We Must Have More!

The first is from AP El Paso, Texas on Sunday, June 12th. “Mexican Poet Brings March against Drug violence to U.S.” Javier Sicilia’s own son was killed by drug gang members. About 1500 participated in a Caravan for Peace Rally on Friday in Ciudad Juarez, the most violent city in Mexico. Javier crossed into Texas on Saturday and spoke to hundreds of supporters at a park in downtown El Paso. I hope the next time he will have tens of thousands. Since 2006, more than 35,000 people have been killed in drug related violence in Mexico.

The poet said, “Americans have to realize that behind every puff of pot, every line of coke there is death, there are shattered families.” Those who sell, push and use drugs in the community are destroying our young people. They are terrorists. Does the elite in Hollywood and users around the country care?

The second news story is from Santa Ana, Ca. June 18th. The Mexican journalist Javier Valdez Cardenas, author of “Los Morros Del Narco,” says that violence in Mexico has reached such levels that everyone, whether or not they are directly involved in the drug war, is being affected by it.

The book is about people involved in drug trafficking. “It tells of a national tragedy and how it is drowning us.” Cardenas said that the violence has already gone too far. He sees a terrified society in which people live each day with the fear of losing their lives, and he sees children who are losing their innocence and their childhood. For Cardenas, this is the saddest part. “These children are going to live with mutilated dreams,” he said.

“We are in country (Mexico) that we should all be ashamed of,” Cardenas said. “But the government should be even more ashamed because they are murdering the future.”

The writer is on a tour and stopped in Santa Ana and talked to about 40 people. I hope the next time he will have hundreds and a translator of his talk into English. A reporter asked him some questions. Do you think there is a solution to the problem? Do you think there will be an end to all of this violence?

The author was unable to truly answer the questions. He began talking about the government providing more resources to the children and the youth… How do you measure fear? The government doesn’t seem to care. We need to have the government be set above the drug traffickers. When I say this I am talking about a matter of the law. The law should be enforced. [It is a tragedy for the Mexican people. All Americans and in particular citizens who have relatives in Mexico must get involved.]

Down with Religious Correctness!

Down with Religious Correctness!

VERITAS – www.cinopsbegone.com – St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More, Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Prelude: Religious correctness equals silence about a very serious matter. You don’t want to think or talk about it. You rationalize the truth. It makes you very uncomfortable to act on it. You feel afraid and threatened by the characters and issues involved.

Preface: “There are some non-negotiables in Catholic social teaching. Abortion and euthanasia are never allowed because they involve the direct taking of innocent life. There is no negotiating the God-given definition of marriage and family based on the permanent and exclusive union of one man and one woman… Our duty as bishops is to raise up moral principles. It is the duty of lay people, in all their various fields of expertise, to apply the Church’s principles to the current reality.” Archbishop’s Message by Jose H. Gomez, The Tidings, June 17, 2011.

TODAY IS THE MEMORIAL OF ST. THOMAS MORE. HE IS A ROLE MODEL AND THE PATRON SAINT OF POLITICIANS!

May I share a commentary which I heard about St. Thomas More? Thomas was a family man and prayed the breviary and rosary each day. He tried to attend Mass daily. He was a loving father of his children until he was executed. All they had to do was cry and they would get anything they wanted.

He was known for his honesty and following his conscience. He did not compromise on at least two fundamental issues. It is the Pope and not Henry VIII who guides the Catholic Church. Secondly, he believed in the sanctity of marriage. He was a politician that bore good fruit.

I don’t know what the outcome will be with the same-sex marriage fight going on in New York with Governor Andrew Cuomo promoting it. Andrew is a CINOP* (Catholic-in-name-only politician). He is divorced and not annulled. It was like in your face when he received Communion with his live-in girl-friend this past year in Albany. This matter is driving the informed Catholic laity up the wall!

We have other but similar problems with our Governor Jerry Brown and Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom and the legislators in the State and Congress. My position is simple and ordinary. As a politician don’t call yourself a Catholic when you are running for office.

*Definition of a CINOP: A Catholic politician who is for abortion and even partial-birth abortion, euthanasia, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem cell research, voted to take away the conscience clause for doctors and health care workers and supports the funding of Planned Parenthood.

WHAT IS THE DUTY OF THE CATHOLIC LAITY TO APPLY CHURCH’S PRINCIPLES TO CURRENT REALITIES?

George H. Kubeck – The Eucharist, Abortion and Same-Sex Marriage deserve the bishop’s attention and action.

Obama's Cover-Up at the Fort Hood Massacre

Obama’s Cover-Up at the Fort Hood Massacre

In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Selected excerpts from “The Fight of Our Lives” by William J. Bennett & Seith Leibsohn, p. 1-15

“In the early morning of Nov. 5, 2009, U.S. Army major Dr. Nidal Hasan left his apartment in Killeen, Texas, to attend morning prayers at his mosque. Several hours later, he walked into the Soldiers Readiness Center at Fort Hood, he sat down, bowed his head, and then he stood up and shot and killed 13 of his fellow Americans, plus an unborn child – 14 in all. He wounded thirty more, emptying some hundred rounds into his victims. AS HE FIRED, HE SHOUTED, ‘ALLAHU AKBAR [ALLAH IS GREAT]!’

“Born in Virginia to Palestinian parents, Nidal Hasan was educated in Roanoke and joined the army right after graduating from high school. [The army paid for his education, but his allegiance was to Islam & Hasan felt that the War on Terror is a War on Islam. This is the second-worst terrorist attack. ]

“In its eighty pages, [Protecting the Force: Lessons from Fort Hood] not once does the report actually mention Hasan’ name. Instead he is referred to simply, almost indeterminately, as “a gunman” just like any other random perpetrator of homicide. But Hasan’s name is not the most glaringly absent name, phrase, or term in the report. The word Islam appears only once, not in the main body of the report, but buried in an endnote in the title of one of many scholarly papers cited in the report.

“The word Muslim appears nowhere in the report; neither do the words jihad or Middle East. “There are two basic problems with the grotesque non-report on the Islamist-terror massacre at Fort Hood,” said military analyst Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Ralphs Peters. “It’s not about what happened at Fort Hood. It avoids entirely the issue of why it happened.”In reading the report, one is practically forced to ask if it were even written with the Fort Hood massacre in mind...

“The report was a studiously exquisite effort to whitewash what actually happened and what actually caused the problem… We learn that “[t]he range of contributing factors for different types of violence is diverse” and can include “low esteem, depression, and anger.”... This report is not a bad joke. It is an official publication of the secretary of defense and a commission… [It included many other top military officials.]

“In its examination of what happened, as concisely summarize by Ralph Peters: “Hasan’s superiors feared – correctly – that any attempt to call attention to [Hasan’s} radicalism or to prevent his promotion would backfire on them, destroying their careers, not his. Hasan was a protected-species minority. Under the PC tyranny of today’s armed services, no non-minority officer was going to take him on.”…

“The point, in fact, of this book: through our cultural and political actions, we are not now as a country on a serious war footing against our enemies, Islamist terrorist; but, rather, we are abnegating the cultural, policy, and rhetorical responsibilities of rational self-defense…

“An Islamic terrorist was raised in the U.S. and because of political correctness, was given a pass throughout his professional career in the U.S. military… it was political correctness that led to the deaths of Americans...

NO to Leon Panetta as Secretary of Defense

NO to Leon Panetta as Secretary of Defense
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, June 20, 2011

Preface: The Cold War between the U.S. and Communist Russia lasted for about 40 years from the late 1940’s to the 1980’s. It was an interesting time with a lot of Communist front organizations. The Communists are masters of deceit and deception.

Many Americans were duped. Leon Panetta is too smart to be deceived. Leon is linked to Cold War supporters of the Soviets. The article in World Net Daily, Thurs. June 16, 2011 by Aaron Klein hits the nail on the leg. “Obama’s Nominee linked to Cold War Soviet Supporters.” http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.printable&pageld=311485

“CIA Director Leon Panetta, President Obama’s nominee to serve as secretary of defense, has come under newfound scrutiny for his ties to a Pro-Marxist think tank accused of anti-CIA activity. The Institute for Policy Studies, or IPS, long faced criticism for positions some say attempt to undermine U.S. national security and for its cozy relationship with the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

“A review of the voting record for Panetta, a member of Congress from 1977 to 1993, during the period in question shows an apparent affinity for IPS’s agenda. THE IPS IS CURRENTLY FUNDED BY PHILANTHROPIST GEORGE SOROS. [He is a leftist who funded the legalization of marijuana in Ca. etc.]

“Panetta was reported on IPS’s official 20th Anniversary Committee, celebrated April 5, 1983, at a time when the group was closely aligned with Soviet Union. In his authoritative book “Covert Cadre” Inside the Institute for Policy Studies,” S. Steven Powell writes: “April 5, 1983, IPS threw a large twentieth-anniversary celebration to raise funds…

"Writing in the New American earlier this month, Christian Gomez notes, “Careful observation of former Rep. Panetta’s record in the U.S. House of Representatives reveal a history of votes perceivable as in contrast with U.S. national security objectives, which if confirmed as Sec. of Defense MAY COMPROMISE U.S NATIONAL DEFENSE. ---- [I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN LEON PANETTA.] ----

•Panetta voted against the reaffirmation of the Mutual Defense Treaty with Taiwan and in support of continuing foreign aid to the Sandinista communist in Nicaragua.

•Panetta slammed what he called President Reagan’s “illegal and extraordinary vicious was against the poor of Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala.” He also supported Soviet satellite Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua and opposed Chile’s anti-communist gov.

•The FBI labeled IPS group a “think factory”; helps to “train extremists who incite violence in U.S. cities, & whose educat. research serves as cover for politic. agitation.

"The IPS has been accused as serving as a propaganda arm of the USSR…

•In his book :KGB and Soviet Disinformation: An Insider’s View,” Ladislav Bittman, a former KGB agent, called the IPS a Soviet misinformation operation at which Soviet insiders worked…The IPS has been implicated in anti-CIA activity."

George H. Kubeck, Leon Panetta is not worthy of our trust as America’s Secretary of Defense.

The Bull Frogs sitting on the Ox

The Bull Frogs sitting on the Ox
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, June 16, 2011

Ref. http://www.catholicworldreport.com?Controls/PrinterFriendly/ PrinterFriendly.aspx by James Hitchcock. Let’s aim to evangelize via the Magisterium and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Left or right Dissension is infantile, obsolete and destructive. Let’s take a look at the puffing Bull Frogs:

•For decades conservatives have been marginalized in groups like “Catholic Theological Society of America (CTSA) … penalized for upholding Church teaching, …

•Liberals have an almost reflexive reaction against hierarchical authority.

•Richard McBrien denounces the revival of Eucharistic adoration as a “step backwards,” and to Rick Marrell, and editor of the National Catholic Reporter, Eucharist and Marian devotions constitute a “betrayer” of Vatican II…

•The Jesuit Thomas Reese feared that converts {Anglicans} will “further discourage reform.”

•Part of the liberal conceit is the claim that Vatican officials are ignorant and do not understand the theologies they judge,..

•Some theologians now claim to be a “second magisterium.”

•Sister Theresa Kane, who publicly insulted John Paul II on his first visit to the U.S., now declares that “the male hierarchy is impotent, incapable of equality, ..

•The inquiry [into the order of nuns] is denounced as a “witch hunt” and an “inquisition” but at the same time nuns boast that they have been fundamentally transformed to the point where some are even militantly pro-abortion.

•As among other things, despite talk of diversity and pluralism, liberals do not regard traditional religious life as authentic… A feminist declares that “women don’t need the Vatican. We don’t need the bishops. That is the real threat…

•Liberal Catholicism is replaying the history of the Reformation of the 16th century, beginning with calls for legitimate reform and ending in innumerable division.

•The National Catholic Register itself now supports formal schism, routinely referring to “women priests”, even though the Church has pronounced such ordination invalid…

•Kane says, “I’m not out of communion. The institution got out of communion with me,”…

The Ox – The Magisterium – Pope Benedict XVI - the Catechism of the Catholic Church

“But when people claim today that the history of the Church’s Magisterium was uniquely the history of a narrow-minded resistance to progress and that the history of genuine enlightenment is to be found only in the history of heresy, then the whole company of the saints – from Paul and John, from Clement of Rome and Ignatius of Antioch, to Maximilian Kolbe and all the Christian martyrs of this century – bears witness to the contrary…

"But power is a means of oppression, and then such a mixture of truth & untruth must be firmly withstood. A principal one is the power to mold public opinion…” [Note women priests-same-sex marriage]. Ratzinger, Co-Workers of the Truth, Meditation - June. 16.

Your Marriage Telephone Calls to New York State
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Wednesday, June 15, 2011

From brianburch@catholicvote.org – June 14th, 2011

Dear CV Friend, Within days – possibly even hours – a vote to redefine marriage could happen in the New York Senate.
Governor Andrew Cuomo [CINOP] is eager to sign a bill to redefine the meaning of marriage in the Empire State. Supporters of so-called ‘same-sex marriage’ likely have the votes in the State Assembly.

Everything hinges on New York’s State Senate. Please take 3 minutes and contact two or more of the Senators below – and ask them to uphold marriage. If you live in New York, your calls are even more important! Here are the undecided state senators: This afternoon I called all of them.

Joe Addabo (15, Queens) (518) 455-2322 – I left message on the answering machine.

James Alesi (55, Rochester suburbs) (518) 455-2015 – No space available on the machine. Try it again.

Roy McDonald (43, N. & E. Albany: Troy, Saratoga Spr., Clift. Park) (518) 455-2381- Talked to person

Recently in both Maryland and Rhode Island, voters worked together to stop the redefinition of marriage. In Minnesota, the Legislature is allowing the people to vote on whether to affirm marriage in their state constitution. So far, marriage is undefeated – winning 31 our 31 times at the ballot box.

[Please pray and support] Archbishop Timothy Dolan of N.Y. He has on a special blog post today:

“Our country’s founding principles speak of rights given by God, not invented by government, and certain noble values – life, home, family, marriage, children, faith – that are protected, not re-defined, by a state presuming omnipotence… We cherish true freedom, not as the license to do whatever we want, but the liberty to do what we ought, we acknowledge that not every desire, urge, want, or chic cause is automatically a “right.” And, what about other rights, like that of a child to be raised in a family with a mom and dad?” Sincerely, Brian Burch

St. Paul Ephesians 5 and Same-Sex Marriage^

St. Paul, Ephesians 5 and Same-Sex Marriage^

Pentecost – send us the Spirit of Truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Sunday, June 12th, 2011

Preface: In the name of common sense and natural law, please send a postcard or a petition of names dated Pentecost, 2011, to: “Most Reverend Tod D. Brown*, D.D. Bishop of Orange, Please censor Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. She supports same-sex marriage. Over all she is a CINOP (Catholic-in-name only politician). Also implore her not to use the Catholic label when she runs for office.”

^Pauline texts can help ground a natural defense of marriage (note: a literal translation of Eph 5:21-33 is provided at the end of this article by Dr. Mary Healy, Homiletic & Pastoral Review, May 2011)

“Paul then begins to draw an analogy between the wife’s relation to her husband and the Church’s relationship to Christ: “for a husband is head of his wife as Christ is head of the Church” (5: 23)… As Pope John Paul noted, the precedence suggested by “head” is an order of precedence in the giving and receiving of love: …

“A different but related analogy is presented in 5:27-28, where Paul compares a husband’s love for his wife to a person’s care for his own body: “for no one ever hates his own flesh but nourishes it and cares for it.” The Hebrew notion of “flesh” signifies not merely the physical body but the bond of kinship, which extends to the members of one’s family (Gn 29:14; Is58:7) or tribe (2 Sm5:1), and ultimately to all humanity (Gn 6:12; Lk 3:6). A husband is to seek his wife’s well-being as much as his own because of the intimacy of their kinship bond…

“At the climax of his exposition Paul cites Gn 2:24: “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh,” quickly adding: “This is a great mystery for I am speaking of Christ and the Church.” Paul thus brings the institution of marriage to a completely new level of significance. Marriage is not only part of God’s original design for humanity, it is a mystery, a sacramentum in Latin, that from the beginning of time pointed in a veiled way to the fullness of God’s plan of salvation…

“Here God first creates the male alone, and breathes into him the breadth of life (cf. Gn 2:7). The divine remark, “It is not good that the man should be alone: I will make him a helper fit for him” (Gn 2:18) is in striking contrast to the repeated refrain affirming the goodness of creation in chapter 1: “God saw that it was good.” It is an emphatic assertion that human beings are not made for solitude; essential to human nature is interpersonal communion…

“It is no coincidence that human society has always recognized marriage a having an inherent and unchangeable structure corresponding to the nature of the human person, embodied as male and female… The concept of “homosexual” as a category of persons is, in fact, a modern construct, invented by those who sought to overturn sodomy laws in the 19th century. We must admit that this movement has been enormously successful in transforming societal perceptions…It follows that the existence of a strong, overwhelming or persistent sexual desire is no argument for the righteousness of satisfying the desire. Otherwise there would be no moral grounds to judge adultery, incest, bestiality, polyamory, pedophilia or other forms of sexual disorder as wrong…

“Scripture illuminates the natural law by articulating truths about human nature… & offers a vision for marriage that is compelling attractive in its own right … corresponds to the deepest longings of the human heart…”

Pro-Marriage N. Y. Senator Faces Death Threats
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com - Friday, June 10, 2011

“The entire campaign to enact same-sex marriage is conducted under a banner of acceptance, and equality and respect for others, Barnes continued. “Yet behind that banner of tolerance is another campaign – of intimidation, threats and ugliness. What at first appears to be simple juvenile behavior by a few is becoming a culture and climate of abusiveness toward those who disagree.”

“Albany, New York, June 7, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – by Patrick B. Craine: The N.Y. politician leading the charge for true marriage in the state says he has faced death threats and a barrage of hate calls as a result of his stand. He is Democrat State Senator Ruben Diaz Sr. in a May 26th press release.

“I continue to be the target of a vulgar campaign by seething extremists who oppose my defense of New York’s marriage laws. As a Christian, of course I love those who hate me and I will continue to pray for their souls.”

On May 10th, one homosexual activist upset over the legislator’s May 15th Rally to Protect Marriage wrote on Twitter that he wanted to sexually assault Diaz’s daughter. And an online forum for homosexuals call The New Day is organizing a “F*** Reuben Diaz Festival” in Brooklyn for June 11th.

The group called for written entries in which contestants are to “imagine a day” in Diaz’s life. “Is he downtown scoring poppers? … Is he waking up in a tangle of hard man-bodies after a raging orgy? Feel free to put Ruben in whatever ridiculous scenario you want,” they write…

Diaz says he has reported the death threats to the FBI and the police departments of N.Y and Albany, and has reiterated his commitment to defending true marriage.

“My position on marriage as defined between a man and a woman is no different than the position of many other Christians,” he said in his press release. “The United States Constitution guarantees freedom of – not freedom from – religion.”

He urged N.Y. Governor Andrew Mario Cuomo and the state legislators to “take a close look at the hard core and vulgar tactics that are being used to change a law in New York State.”

“I urge all to compare my non-violent, peaceful and prayerful rallies to protect marriage and the attempts to humiliate me because of my one vote in the State Senate,” he added.

Though Diaz’s colleagues in the legislature* have failed to defend him – with one Bronx source telling New York Daily New s it’s because “the feeling is that you reap what you sow” – Diaz was supported June 3rd by the N.Y. Catholic Conf., the public policy for N.Y. Catholic bishops.

The fierce attacks the bishops received when they opposed same-sex “marriage” in 2009 are “small potatoes” compared to the “hate speech” that’s been thrown at Senator Diaz…

“Where is the outrage in the media? Where is the cry for tolerance and justice for Rev. Diaz…?

The Spiritual Agenda of the Left*

The Spiritual Agenda of the Left*
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com Friday, June 10th, 2011

Preface: This horrendous scandal in New York is not going away. Academics and Catholic writers are duty-bound to speak out on this subject. Silence or neutrality is not an option. We are focusing on the worthy reception of the EUCHARIST. We talk about our poster-boy Mario Cuomo, the pro-abortion & “gay marriage” CINOP Governor of New York. Pray for Archbishop Timothy Dolan and Mario Cuomo.

“It is important for people to recognize that those who are working for the dissolution of our society have a spiritual agenda. They are not merely attempting to dismantle the historic cultural values of this nation and move towards a homogenized world. They also want to destroy Christianity and Bible-based religion. It is a clear part of their agenda, and they have already moved a long way in that direction…

“I think it is basically unfair for people who Marxists or socialist or feminists or homosexuals or lesbians to pretend they are objective journalists so they can use the cover of their trade to assassinate the character of the people who disagree with their social, religious, or political views. But it happens all the time and it is one of the reasons that the media are losing credibility so rapidly these days…

“Unfortunately, the average person in America still doesn’t have the slightest idea what secular humanism is all about. For many people secular humanism is confused with human goodness or humanitarianism. They do not realize that secular humanists are atheists with a well-defined and dangerous agenda. The essential core of this liberal philosophy is a hatred of God and religion.

“Its adherents also hate our Western civilization, which is based on Christianity, and they want to tear it down. They believe that man, the noble savage who lives within, is being smothered by social conventions and the hypocrisy of modern civilization. They want to liberate mankind from our Western value, tragically they are succeeding…

“As Charles Colson recently pointed out in an address to conference in Florida on the culture wars, the elites of our culture have been doing everything in their power to secularize American society for the last fifty years. These people wield tremendous influence in law, government, education, and the media, and they have succeeded to the extent that we are now confused, empty, and guided simultaneously by lusts and some vague notions about “spirituality,” yet lacking any sort of moral compass. Society is out control…

“Colson reminded his audience that no society in recorded history has ever survived without a strong moral consensus and there has never been a moral consensus that was not founded upon religious truth. He said, “Recovering our moral code – our religious truth – is the only way our society can survive. The heaping ash remains at Auschwitz, the killing fields of Southeast Asia, and the frozen wastes of the Gulag reminds us that the City of Man is not enough; we must also see the City of God.”

STOP SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IN NEW YORK # 1

STOP SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IN NEW YORK # 1
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, June 7, 2011

I don’t understand. We already have legal and civil rights in place for our American homosexual inclined citizens. Why change the definition of marriage as one between a man and a woman? Isn’t the practice of homosexuality a choice? IT IS NOT GENETIC! Don’t call it marriage!
In the name of feelings and toleration, let’s change the definition of adultery, fornication and pornography. Why? You are hurting the feelings of those involved. To destroy the institution of marriage is diabolical. It is the historic foundation of any society. For the sake of relativism, this is all but an attack on common sense, natural law, reason and the truth and wisdom of the ages.

What is happening in New York today and in California reminds me of the bishops in Canada prior to the Catholic-in-name-only politicians [Liberals] legalizing same-sex marriage in the Canadian Parliament in 2005? The bishops did nothing to the perpetrators. Catholic beliefs and identity were prostituted and the Catholic laity was forced to live with it. THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN IN AMERICA!

A.New York Governor Andrew Cuomo launched a public campaign for Gay Marriage. The Governor is a CINOP (Catholic-in-name-only politician) “Under the supervision of the governor’s staff,” reported the Times April 21, “the groups intend to raise more than $1 million for a media blitz, hire a powerful political consultant close to the Cuomo administration, and deploy field organizers to the districts of more than a dozen key lawmakers to drum up support, according to interviews with those involved in the effort.”

By Edward N. Peters, the Cuomo-Communion Controversy, Catholic World Report, June 2011: Friday, May 13th

“Hardly a generation ago, a canon lawyer’s remarks that a divorced man openly cohabitating with a divorced woman was ineligible to receive Holy Communion would have been greeted with a polite yawn, as if to say “Of course he can’t be given communion. Tell us something we don’t already know.” But then, a generation ago, most Catholics were aware of the fundamentals of sacramental discipline, or, at least, of those aspects of sacrament discipline that went back to the Apostolic Age.

“Earlier this year, N.Y. Governor Andrew Cuomo, a divorced Catholic man who lives with television celebrity Sandra Lee (also divorced but not a Catholic), was given Holy Communion at a well-publicized Mass celebrated by Bishop Howard Hubbard of Albany. But my comments against Cuomo’s taking Communion, instead of occasioning yawns, provoked dozen of broadcast news segments, hundreds of newspaper articles, and thousands of web posts. My assertion that some things besides personal opinion can impact a Catholic’s eligibility to receive the Eucharist garnered nervous comments by bishops, open ridicule by left-leaning politicos, Cuomo’s consistent support for legalized abortion and “gay marriage” has canonical implications…”

George H. Kubeck,
P.S. The above is extremely serious. It will not go away. Bishops outside of New York need to reach out to N.Y.’s Archbishop Timothy Dolan. He has his hands full. Catholic writers, leaders and organizations like the Knights of Columbus need to speak out as Catholic Laity in some ways. Censure Cuomo! Don’t use the Catholic label when you run for office! This is absolutely necessary and fair.

Canada's Crazy Catholic Teachers' Union

Canada’s Crazy Catholic Teachers’ Union
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, June 6, 2011

Preface: Whenever you legalize adversary relationships, agency fees and exclusivity (51 represent the other 49 whether they like it or not) you have unions which were never intended for teachers.

“In April the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) had voted to levy a $60 fee from its 45,000 members to build a $3 million dollar war chest with the aim of defeating the province’s Progressive Conservative party (PC) in the October 6th provincial election…

“OECTA president James Ryan told the Toronto Sun that their preliminary list of endorsed candidates has Liberals and New Democrats, but no Conservatives…

“The Ontario PC’s have decried OECTA’s partisan campaign, particularly the mandatory fees. “There are members of the caucus that I sit in whose spouse or sibling will be forced to contribute to attack ads against their own family members as a result of this, because there is no opt out,” MPP Lisa MacLeod told LifeSiteNews in April.
ref. http://www.lifesitenews.com/home/print_article/news/30559/

“The Conservative party has pledged in its election platform to introduce “paycheque protection” for union members to ensure they are not required to fund political causes they oppose…

“Over the last decade they (OECTA) have promoted bizarre sex conferences featuring talks on drag queens and sex toys; used their own conferences to feature leading dissident Catholics and abortion supporters; seriously mulled the official promotion of homosexual ‘marriage’; and even sought to intervene in a court proceeding against a Catholic school which was being sued by a male student for refusing to permit him to bring his gay ‘boyfriend’ to the school prom.”
Comment: Can the USCCB staff and bishops learn anything from the above or what follows?

Ontario Parents Conclude 50-day Prayer Campaign for Bishops to Reject McGuinty ‘Equity’ Mandate

This group asked Catholics in Ontario, Canada to join them in praying daily for one hour “beseeching God to give our shepherds, Ontario’s Bishops, the courage to reject McGuinty’s Equity mandate.” It threatens the integrity of Catholic sexual teaching in the schools.

Kim Galvao of Concerned Catholic Parents told LifeSiteNews, “We the Catholic Laity understand the pressures our bishops are facing. We want to encourage them to defend the truth no matter how difficult.” Even the head of the Ontario English Catholics Teachers Association (OECTA) has claimed that the “anti-bullying” clubs are really just the activist-oriented and gay-affirmative-gay-straight alliances “with a Catholic name.” REf. http://www.lifesitenews.com/home/print_articles/news/30560/

George H. Kubeck,

P.S. Prevention is worth a pound of cure. We discovered THIS with false legalized abortion in 1973, and the U.S. Congress failed to step in. Today same-sex marriage must never be legalized in the U.S.A. We need leadership. Americans must step forward TODAY: STOP SAME-SEX MARRIAGE LEGISLATION IN NEW YORK!

President Obama and his CINOP Cabal

President Obama and his CINOP Cabal
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, June 4, 2011

The American Catholic voter is a swing-voter in presidential elections. In 2008, thanks to CINOP propaganda machine [including Kmiec] they voted 53% for Obama. What success will these CINOP con-artists have along with their Con-Organizations [monies from George Soros] in the 2012 Presidential elections?

Remember you can dupe a lot of people with a billion dollar Obama campaign; along with the New York Times and the mainstream media on Obama’s side. [This is like having the newspaper Pravda on your side during the past Soviet Russian regimes.]

The good news is that during the 2010 election the public booted out of office about 30 Catholic-in-name-only politicians. In 2012 let’s vote out a majority of the 60 CINO politicians in Congress and the 12 in the Senate. They are prostituting Catholic identity in the public sector.

Now let’s take a look at our President’s CINOP Cabal! There is Bill Daley from the corrupt Chicago machine. He is the new Chief of Staff. He took over from Rahm Emmanuel who is now Mayor of Chicago. Then there is V.P. Joe Biden. He is a pseudo-Catholic joke. There is Nancy Pelosi, the Minority Speaker in the House. She got the CINOP votes to pass Obamacare. [This is thanks to political shenanigans of Rahm Emmanuel who helped to elect about 5 so-called pro-life Catholic Congresspersons in 2006] There is also Leon Panetta who served as Chief of Staff for Clinton and Kathleen Sebelius, head of Obamacare and Health and Human Services.

Let’s take a Catholic look at the agenda of the regime which the above CINOP support: There is Obamacare which includes abortion as part of health care. There is no conscience protection for doctors and health care workers. The above CINO politicians voted for this, and not to defund Planned Parenthood. They are also the CINO Same-Sex Politicians when it comes to marriage and their support for embryonic stem cell research. Listen to an anonymous writer first & Thomas F. Roesser’s second:

“Obamacare is a European value … but Archbishop Dolan of NYC said Obamacre was everything the Bishops had been working to achieve for years but that they very reluctantly had to oppose it because of the pro-aspects of it… he said it with deep regret … you can dislike it as much as I do George but the reality is that most Catholics are left wing, full blown socialist … many oppose abortion and the homosexual agenda but other than that in politics and economics they are left-wing extremists. If abortion and gay rights went away as issues they would flock back to the Democrats at a 90% rate. That is why they are such a mixed voting block…” [Reminds me of Germany in the 1930’s]

“Now as we all know, Barack Obama wants to get reelected in 2012, which is why he hired William Daley of Chicago as chief of staff. Daley thinks that the only way Obama will win is by demagoguery, the way FDR did in 1936 by condemning the “economic royalists” and the way Harry Truman did in 1948 by condemning the rich no-good members of Big Business “special interests.” The fact that Bill Daley made 32 million in wages last year serving those special interests is apart from the case…”

George H. Kubeck, Fear not! I think the staff at USSCB & the bishops need to digest some of this blog’s letters.

The Dissident and the "National Catholic Reporter"

The Dissident and the “National Catholic Reporter” # 1
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Thursday, June 2, 2011

Preface: Do you remember the time, once a Catholic always a Catholic? Today, we have about 30 million ex-Catholics in the U.S.A. What caused this horrendous scandal? I may be fed up with the prostitution by the CINOP of Catholic identity but the author James Hitchcock has written a fascinating and insightful two part essay titled, “The Failure of Liberal Catholicism.”

James Hitchcock is a professor of history at St. Louis University. The Catholic World Report, May and June 2011 has the two-part series. I just ran off part 1 – six pages and part 2 – seven pages via access to www.CatholicWorldReport.com. It is a must read.

It seems we have others specifically in the Catholic media prostituting Catholic identity. It is common sense and reasonable for Catholic writers to take a stand. Censor the CINOP and admonish him or her not to use the Catholic label when running for public office. This is fair and honorable.

May I share with you excerpts from James Hitchcock’s first essay in this two-part series?

“No one has yet managed to transcend or synthesize the concepts “liberal” and “conservative,” however inadequate those words are for denoting beliefs. Conservative Catholics define themselves in terms of obedience to Church authority, acceptance of official teachings, and a strict personal morality, especially in matters of sexuality, while liberals offer a more expansive idea of the Church, a purportedly liberating understanding of what it means to be a Catholic.

“The conservative claim is more modest than the liberal claim, because conservatives do not offer themselves as spiritual paragons – a conservative Catholic can readily admit to being a bad person in need of redemption…

“A former publisher of the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) in effect defined liberal Catholics as those who “embrace all God’s people… loving … welcoming… open… tolerant… Our greatest fulfillment as Catholics is a sense of community, whatever baggage and difference we carry … for everyone under a very big tent…”

“An NCR editorial refers to “right-wingers” who write “windy, disgruntled, and largely unpublished letters to the editor,” a description that, except for “unpublished,” exactly describes the paper’s own letters column: Example:

‘… the church trying to saddle the laity with its bleak view of marriage by citing some looney malarkey about Adam and Eve…’ ‘Our popes since John XXIII have been just plain pathetic. Most of the U.S. bishops … are just as bad… These aristocrats do not give a hoot about the Eucharist except for posturing…’

“One NCR contributor, Jamie Manson, calls the denial of ordination to women ‘profound spiritual violence’ and charges the Church teaches that ‘women’s bodies defile the Eucharist,’ and an NCC editor, Rich Heffern, charges that ‘pathology underlies the Vatican’s insistence that an all-out priesthood is necessary.’…

“Margaret O’Brien Steinfels, a former editor of the liberal Catholic journal Commonweal, admitted that despite the fact that Weakland took no action against predator priests and used diocesan funds to pay off his blackmail male lover, he remained for her and almost ideal bishop.” … [To be continued]

George H. Kubeck, I consider the priests involved in sexual abuse; hidden and deliberate terrorists of our Catholic Faith. They had no business entering the priesthood. They entered to harm the Catholic Church.
