Greetings and Salutations!

Greetings and Salutations!

We have some Good News and Bad News

Our country is 50% Pro-Life and 41% Pro-Choice. The

Heritage Foundation wants us to read the “Declaration of Independence” on July 4th. Let’s start today; pray and celebrate the American motto of Life - Liberty - and the Pursuit of Happiness!

The Bad News is that the media is not reporting this serious news which violates the 1st Amendment to the Constitution*. It is called Sibelius’s Health and Human Service Mandate of Obamacare.

A. This is a threat to Religious Liberty and Freedom of Conscience

The HHS Mandate by the Government is that all insurance policies must include coverage for abortion inducing drugs, contraception, and sterilization. This is contrary to Catholic and Christian moral teaching and a violation of our conscience and religious rights.

B. Also, the HHS Mandate promotes the ACLU’s very narrow definition of Church. 1. Inculcation of Religious values 2. Primarily employs people who share its religious tenets and serve people who share it religious tenets. 3. Declared a non-profit organization by the IRS. This is wrong and violates the Constitution. The Church’s deepest nature is to proclaim the word of God, celebrate the sacraments, exercise its ministry of charity and be God’s family in the world.

2,500 Protestant, Evangelical, Jewish, Catholic and other religious leaders signed a February letter to President Obama censuring the mandate as a “severe blow to religious liberty” and calling the administration to reverse this decision.

* Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise of religion thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and petition the Government for redress of grievances.

Pope Benedict XVI on Truth in Love: Fidelity # 2 of 2

Pope Benedict XVI on Truth in Love: Fidelity # 2 of 2

In pursuit to the truth - cinops be gone - Thursday, June 28, 2012

From Ordinary Correspondence, No. 23, Oct. 25, 1979 - June 26th meditation

But, there are other, more serious, criticisms that must be taken more seriously. We are told, for example, that the Pope is a product of a conservative theology that is appropriate for a conservative country, but that he is obviously not familiar with the West and its quite different situation.

It is said, moreover, that, by reason of his pastoral role, he should not simply decree and decide; he should discuss and convince. But one who truly listens knows that this Pope has not spent his life in a small and narrow world - and not just because he has already traveled widely in the world, because he has always been surrounded by young people whose enthusiasms, problems, and questions about a world that is, in this sense, still undivided are everywhere the same, but also, more especially, because, as a man, he has himself known and endured all the depths of human life and its sufferings.

In the realm of the human heart, he has discovered the world of the human being and has pondered and suffered anew. By reason of such journeying into the adventure of human existence, he can speak with intimate knowledge and can make the word of faith perceptible again in all its permanence - the world that, is that sense, is certainly conservative, for it protects the ground of human nature.

But, precisely in so doing, it is creative because it thus bestows on the individual the possibility of maturity and progress, which cannot exist without a goal. One who listens carefully to the Pope’s words, sees as well that they are not issued as commands, but bear within them the whole history of a life that has been nourished by the centuries-long history of the Faith, and regards humanity anew from this perspective;

That he looks at himself with self-criticism, whereas we usually turn away and do not look at ourselves. Thus the Pope makes visible to why what is permanent is also something new. [Complement the above, read the meditation of the June 27th.]

“He (Pope John Paul II) reminded us that the scarlet robe of the cardinals is a symbol of their readiness to undergo martyrdom… He spoke then of the English cardinal , John Fisher, who received the scarlet robe in the prison… We are reminded here also of a second aspect of this pontificate, which the Holy Father described in the Sistine Chapel in his first address to the world as “fidelitas” - fidelity. In saying this, he opposed to the superficial dichotomy of conservatism and progress the so-often-forgotten other dimension; fidelity, which is creative in its preservation of the Faith.”

George H. Kubeck - Blessed John Paul is the role model not only for U.S. Catholic bishops but for all Christians during this time of prayer in this Fortnight for Religious Freedom.

Pope Benedict XVI on Truth in Love: Fidelity # 1 of 2

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Wednesday, June 27, 2012

From Ordinary Correspondence, No. 23, October 25, 1979*

One who preaches to the people the word of faith is not saying things that are likely to please them, but must expect to meet with opposition. Jesus did not promise upholstered chairs or Cabinet posts, but only his Baptism and his chalice.

In saying that, we have identified two fundamental sacraments. Baptism and Holy Eucharist, as the essence of his gift to humanity. But we have also made clear what it means to receive Baptism and Holy Eucharist: being ready to suffer for the truth and for love.

The Pope knows this. That is why, in an address to the American bishops, he alluded to the words of Saint Paul: “Brothers in Christ, when we preach the truth in love, we must expect to be criticized, for we cannot please everyone.

But we do, nevertheless, have a genuine contribution to make to the salvation of everyone. For that reason, we are humbly convinced that God is with us in our service to the truth and he ‘does not give us the spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and self-discipline’ (2 Tim 1:7) The spirit of cowardice - that is assuredly not a characteristic that one would attribute to John Paul II.

That is why it had to be realized from the beginning [of his papacy] that one day, sooner or later, he would have to face opposition. Significantly, that opposition was strongest when the Pope, in his talks in America, addressed the world that is typically Western - when he addressed our world, when he brought into it the salt of the Gospel, when he exposed our wounds to the light of Christ’s message and revealed them as wounds.

In this criticism there are some elements that we might even find humorous. In the so-called “position papers” with which we were bombarded before the papal election., we were told: above all, a Pope must be open to the world.

And I find it somewhat comical that the same people are telling him now that he should not go so much into world, but should spend more time at home and read. We were also told: the Pope must be charismatic, not bureaucratic . And I find it amusing that it is precisely the individual who customarily speaks of the hierarchy as a “Church of wolves” who now remind the Pope that the Church cannot be led by charisma alone…

Why Conscience is Important

Why Conscience is Important

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Tuesday, June 26th, 2012

USCCB Nationwide Bulletin Insert - June 2012

During the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, Americans shone the light of the Gospel on a dark history of slavery, segregation, and racial bigotry. The civil rights movement was an essentially religious movement, a call to awaken consciences.

In his famous “Letters from Birmingham Jail” in 1963, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. boldly said, “The goal of America is freedom.” As a Christian pastor, he argued that to call America to the full measure of that freedom was the specific contribution Christians are obliged to make.

He rooted his legal and constitutional arguments about justice in the long Christian tradition: “I would agree with Saint Augustine that ‘An unjust law is no law at all.’… A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law.”

Some unjust laws impose such injustices on individuals and organizations that disobeying the laws may be justified. Every effort must be made to repeal them. When fundamental human goods, such as the right of conscience, are at stake, we may need to witness to the truth by resisting the law and incurring its penalties.

The church does not ask for special treatment, simply the rights of religious freedom for all citizens. Rev. King also explained that the church is neither the master nor the servant of the state, but is conscience, guide, and critic.

Catholics and many other Americans have strongly criticized the recent Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate requiring almost all private health plans to cover contraception, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs. For the first time in our history, the federal government will force religious institutions to fund and facilitate coverage of a drug or procedure contrary to their moral teaching, and purport to define which religious institutions are “religious enough” to merit an exemption. This is a matter of whether religious people and institutions may be forced by the government to provide such coverage even when it violates our consciences.

What we ask is nothing more than the right to follow our consciences as we live out our teaching. This right is not only about our ability to go to Mass on Sunday or pray the Rosary at home. It is about whether we can make our contribution to the common good of all Americans. Without religious liberty properly understood, all Americans suffer, deprived of the essential contribution in education, health care, feeding the hungry, civil rights, and social services that religious Americans make every day.

What is at stake is whether America will continue to have a free, creative, and robust civil society - or whether the state will determine who gets to contribute to the common good, and how they get to do it.

George H .Kubeck - It would be wise to access http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/supreme-knight-we-could-significantly-restrict-abortion-if-catholic-politic/ The time has come for the bishops to tackle the Cuomo doctrine which has destroyed the well-formed Catholic conscience of many politicians.

# 2 Ken Burns Commencement Address at LMU, May 5, 2012

#2 Ken Burns Commencement Address at LMU, May 5, 2012

The relentless pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Monday, June 25, 2012

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns was Commencement Speaker. Here is another excerpt from that outstanding speech and several examples of what is going on in America today.

“The great jurist Learned Hand … once said that liberty is never being sure you are right, but somehow we have replaced our usual and healthy doubt with an arrogance and belligerence that resembles more than ancient and now fallen empires or of history books than a modern compassionate democracy. We’ve started wars, instead of finishing them; dependent upon censorship and intimidation to infringe on the most basic liberties that have heroically defined and described our trajectory as a nation of free people; reduced the complexity of modern life into facile judgments of good and evil, and now find ourselves brought up short when we see that we too, sometimes, in moments, have become what we despise.

It is in that world you plummet… You have no choice. You’ve been called up, and it is your difficult and challenging responsibility to help reverse this alarming tide and set us right again. In short, you’ve been drafted to clean up the mess…”

A. From the respected Family Research Council - May 2012 - www.frc.org - 1-800-225-4008

If you don’t want to buy health insurance that violates your religious beliefs … President Obama simply forces you to do so.

If you don’t want your child to learn that homosexuality is good and that parents and pastors are bigots … your school, Department of Education, or a federal court tells your to be silent or possible go to jail.

(In Lexington, Massachusetts a Christian dad went to jail because he insisted on being informed when his first-grader would be taught about homosexuality. Ultimately, a federal judge ruled that normalizing and promoting homosexuality to young children overruled parental rights!)

If President Obama wants to name a royal court of 44 “Czars” to by-pass Congress and push his left-wing agenda on you … he simply ignores processes mandated by our Constitution.

If you dare say homosexuality is a sin and you’re on a public school campus, in many workplaces, or on government property … Washington liberals want you fired, punished, ridiculed, or expelled.

Of course, to achieve this secular utopia, they believe strict and literal adherence to the Constitution and its religious protections must be swept away.

That is why we’ve seen a steady march of raw unconstitutional power, such as: Roe v. Wade. Restricting prayer. Protecting pornography. Elevating homosexual rights over parents’ rights.

That’s why Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) recently said that mandatory health insurance that violates your conscience must override your “religious beliefs.”

That’s why attorney Barry Lynn - head of the anti-Christian United for Separation of Church and State - recently said Communist China was a good model for Christianity’s role in our society! He thinks we should avoid trouble by practicing our faith behind closed doors.

C. “General Mills Cereal Co. Adopts ‘Gay Marriage.’ WND, 6/18/2012 “The Minnesota Food Giant that brought to the nation’s parents, and especially their children, the Honey Nut Bee … now publicly is supporting homosexual marriage leaving critics surprised at General Mills’ abandonment of traditional values families. Home Depot and Starbucks Coffee have gotten away with it thus far.

The Holy Spirit inspired this Fortnight Freedom Conference

The Holy Spirit inspired  this Fortnight Freedom Conference

In pursuit of the truth - Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist - Sun. June 24, 2012

“You willed that your coming among men should be announced by John the Baptist - send new heralds to proclaim you throughout the world.” Liturgy of the Hours

Please refer to my previous letter on this blog on Thursday, June 21, 2012. I will write this letter as a life-professed member of the Dominican Laity.

Without doubt, the organizers of this conference and the speakers were outstanding. I missed the first speaker via video Fr. Robert Spitzer S.J. We were informed that all the talks and other info will be posted on their blog - Catholic@WorkOC

At the very end of the conference, I urged the prayer “Litany to St. Thomas More” for all Catholic-in-name-only politicians. I forgot to mention Blessed John Paul II. He is truly our inspiration for what is going on in America. He was successful with the Polish communists. Asking for Blessed John Paul’s intercession will be a win for us with the American secularist or a change of mind on their part with respect to the HHS Mandate.

Also, asking for the intercession of Blessed Margaret of Castello O.P. would be most appropriate. She has been in my prayers for years. “As an unwanted deformed child, would she not be “the saint” for our time … a special patron of the unborn, the disabled, the handicapped, the social outcasts … the patron of the UNWANTED? Will you not join in a crusade for her canonization? She will never fail to help those who invoke her.”

In our brainstorming session, the ideas covered were inspiring and hopefully will be posted. Pray for unity. My focus was on the daily rosary on each of this fourteen days.

Also being at least one Holy Hour or an hour of 3 or 4 mysteries of the Rosary prayer at an abortion site. I will going door to door with a bilingual person in a special precinct. [2 hrs.]

We did not bring up the elephants in the room. 1. The role played by the ACLU in formulating the narrow definition of Church and other religious institutions. 2. The reality is that we have serious divisions within the Church. I have subscribed and will not renew Catholic magazines America, Commonweal or U.S. Catholic. These dissident magazines do not fully inform their readers and think they are smarter than Pope Benedict XVI, the Magisterium, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the U.S. Catholic Bishops on this matter of dealing with the secularist and the HHS mandate. 3. The Conscience Clause in the Senate was voted down 51 to 47. There were 14 Catholic Democratic Senators who voted to defeat the Conscience Clause.

I did pass out some info literature about my blog, “cinops be gone.” The next time, I will pass out the eight page letter talk by the Supreme Knight Carl Anderson which Carl gave at the prayer breakfast in Washington, D.C. in April 19, 2012 (Posted on the internet); also the eight letters on St. Thomas More excerpted from the book by James Monti’s “The King’s Good Servant but God’s First” (Posted on this blog); lastly, a one page application form to join the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.

At 3:30 pm a reception followed. It was hosted by Catholics for the Common Good.

God Bless,

Mr. George H. Kubeck O.P. - VERITAS and natural law swallows up relativism and secularism.

Ken Burns Commencement Address at LMU, May 5, 2012

The relentless pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns was the Commencement Speaker. Here is an excerpt from that outstanding speech and 2 examples of what is going in America today.

“… Alas, today, we find ourselves in the midst of a subtler and perhaps more dangerous crisis than Abraham Lincoln faced, where the rules have changed and they don’t always favor the truthful an the virtuous.

The reaction, for example, to September 11, which sponsored so much unity and renewal of that national purpose in its immediate aftermath has now ironically metastasized into an angrier, more divided posture where we emphasize what differentiates us from the other rather, than what we share in common, where suspicion rather than trust is inculcated in us all, where we retreat behind false ramparts of mindless consumerism to ward off a stultifying loneliness brought on by very same retreat from each other.”

From a message from Tim Wildmon, AFA President, ACTION, May 2012 - www.afa.net

“Just a few weeks ago the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced the formation of what is calls the Commentator Accountability Project. Its purpose is simple.

To identify, call out, stigmatize and censor everyone who dares to profess opposition to the radical homosexual agenda. I’m not making this up. Here’s how GLAAD’s website promotes the project:

“The Commentator Accountability Project launches with a comprehensive set of online resources detailing the anti-LGBT, racist, and anti-woman sentiments of nearly three dozen anti-LGBT commentators who have appeared in local and national news. As more commentators engage in anti-LGBT rhetoric, new profiles will be added. It is important to expose the questionable and often hostile rhetoric that passes as punditry when so-called ‘experts’ speak out against the lives of LGBT people on the air or in print.”

It concludes with this chilling statement.
“WE WILL UTILIZE THE RESOURCES OF COMMENTATOR ACCOUNTABILITY PROJECT IN FUTURE MEETINGS WITH EDITORS, WRITERS, NETWORK EXECUTIVES, PRODUCERS AND GUEST BOOKERS - PROVIDING THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA WITH A TOOL BY WHICH TO HOLD COMMENTATORS ACCOUNTABLE.”

In other words, GLAAD is warning news outlets: Don’t you dare give these people a microphone or you’ll have us to deal with! And just who are the men and women … For starters, me… and Dad, too. AFA’s Bryan Fischer is also on the list. He host our daily Focal Point program on AFRTalk radio network. Others on the list include:

Gary Bauer, David Barton, Chuck Colson, Tony Perkins, Albert Mohler, Bill Donohue (President of Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights) and 27 other courageous individuals who are not afraid to uphold biblical values in spite of GLAAD’s threats.

Dispatch from Tim Winter - Parents Television Council: June 20, 2012

I wish TV executives didn’t despise Christians so much. But sadly, many of them do. And ABC’s new Sunday night show GCB takes Hollywood’s hatred of Christians to levels never seen before…

I hate to hit you with such language, but I’ve got to tell you that GCB stands for “Good Christian Bitches” --- which tells you right away the utter loathing Disney-owned network has for those of the Christian faith…

Defy the Forces of Darkness!

Defy the Forces of Darkness!

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Tuesday, June 19, 2012

This is a special message from journalist Fr. Ben Johnson, LifeSiteNews.com - Mar. 19/12

George Orwell wrote, “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

When I am asked the greatest benefit a journalist gets from working at LifeSiteNews, I may answer it is precisely to speak for those whose voices would never otherwise be heard - but I do not mean just defenseless babies.

In our mass media, next to children in the womb, the most silenced constituency in the country is the pro-life movement itself.

The “mainstream” media have perfected bias to a fine art, effectively shutting out all those who do not accept hedonism, consumerism, and the cult of Self.

Those who support the clear teachings of science, hold to the consensus of the world’s bioethics and biologists, or accept the teachings of their faith are portrayed as ignorant, extreme, even potentially treasonous.

This prejudice is so deep that the media often describe the two sides as “pro-choice” and “anti-choice,” or “anti-women’s right.”

Without LifeSiteNews.com, many pro-lifers will never be heard, much less have a forum to address the nation, and the world, in their own terms.

Take the case of Susan Pine, a West Palm Beach pro-life leader who suffered after her own abortion experience. She decided no woman should have to endure the pain she did, turning he resolution into a one-woman pro-life truth center outside a notorious Florida abortion mill.

After she gave a willing driver a piece of pro-life literature, the government hauled her into court on federal charges … without introducing any evidence to prove she violated the law.* The judge wrote in his opinion the case may have been “the product of a concerted effort between the Government and the [abortionist], which began well before the date of the incident at issue, to quell Ms. Pine’s activities.”

That is, he thought the government dragged Ms. Pine into court on trumped-up charges in order to shut her up. Her lawyer told me personally that, although this mainstream media knew of this judge’s opinion, they had NOT reported it.

Only outlets like LifeSiteNew.com could get this story out, he said. Our work was vital - not just for you information, but to help assure justice was done…

Why would anyone immerse himself in the Culture of Death and report on its lies? Because it is only when we are grounded in the truth that we can find answers. We pray the world’s leaders will continue to inch closer to the truth and one day codify that into law…

George H. Kubeck, *This could have happened to me personally under this disgusting Obama regime. We are looking for leaders in each U.S. diocese who have the guts to speak up and organize. In the mindset of many; life, family and marriage advocacy, and the “Catechism of the Catholic Church” are orphans. [It is free, but last year, I donated at least $45.00 to LifeSiteNews.com]

Who and What on the Occupy Wall Street Movement

Who and What on the Occupy Wall Street Movement

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone -
Ref. Occupy Wall Street by David Horowitz & John Perazzo, www.frontpagemag.com

The creator of OWS is a 69-year-old Canadian resident named Kalle Lasn, longtime left-wing filmaker, radical environmentalist and lifelong “student of revolution.”

Lasn is at war with what he calls “the dog-eat-dog world of capitalism,” condemning “consumerism” as “psychologically corrosive” and the American economy as “a destructive system” that has caused “a terrible degradation of our mental environment.”

Like all modern radicals, Lasn is above all a nihilist, a destroyer rather than a builder. In 1989, the year the Berlin Wall fell, Lasn launched a campaign to “wreck” consumerism by creating, the Adbusters Media Foundation. This group set to be a “global network” - now 95,000 strong -of culture jammers” and “anarchists.” …. p. 7

Adbusters is sustained by six-figure grants from the Glasser Progress and Tides foundations - institutions run by left-wingers willing to fund organizations dedicated to destroying the system that makes their charity possible. Tides is heavily bankrolled by George SOROS’s Open Society Institute… p. 8

On June 9, 2011, Lasn registered the domain name “OccupyWallStreet.org” - thus giving birth to the movement with what he hoped to “pull the current monster [of capitalism] down… Obama had already injected the class-warfare narrative into the political air as part of his re-election strategy… Obama expressed sympathy for the movement, saying that he “understands the frustrations that are being expressed” by protestors. “You are the reason I ran for office.”… p. 9

In the early 1970s, Rathke founded ACORN, soon to be the largest radical organization in America. ACORN’s specialty was voter fraud, conceived as a strategy to break the electoral system. ACORN activists provided a powerful force behind Barack Obama’s rise to the Senate in 2004 and his election to the White House in 2008... p. 13

… Another Sixties radical, Frances Fox Piven, spoke to an OWS rally in New York. It was Piven who had come up with the break-the-system strategy that Rathke’s welfare organization adopted… The Community Reinvestment Act - the cornerstone of the 2008 mortgage crisis - was a triumph of the Piven strategy and of ACORN’s political influence in the Democratic Party… p. 14

Muscle for OWS was provided by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) through a board member and longtime left-wing organizer, Stephen Lerner. The SEIU had been a driving force behind the Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization a dozen years before, and had put $60 million into Barack Obama’s presidential election campaign. Like the other OWS leaders, Lerner is a dedicated socialist whose declared goal is to “destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement… As with the other OWS radicals, nihilism was the order of the day… p. 15

George H. Kubeck - We have very destructive organizations and movements within our country. Responsible leaders in both parties should have nothing to do with them. Instead, we have Democratic leaders shamefully catering to them. This is a tragedy for the whole country and an election issue.

For Greater Glory # 2 of 2

“For Greater Glory” # 2 of 2
By Archbishop Jose H. Gomez, Tues. May 29/12 - cinops be gone - Tues. June 12, 2012

Ref. http://carmelitesisteersocd.com/forgreaterglory.asp - cont’d

“As it always has been, today our Catholic religion is under attack in places over the whole world. In Mexico and America, we don’t face suffering and death for practicing our faith. But we do confront “softer” forms of secularist bullying. And our societies are growing more aggressively secularized.

“Already sadly, we’ve accepted the “rules” and restrictions of our secular society. We keep our faith to ourselves . We’re cautious about “imposing” our beliefs on others - especially when it comes to politics. In recent months, our government has started demanding even more - trying to coerce our consciences, so that we deny our religious identity and values.

“We need to ask for the strength of the Cristeros. By their dying they show us what we should be living for. So let’s make that our prayer this week. That like the Cristeros, we might be always ready to love and sacrifice to stand up for Jesus and his Church. And may our Lady of Guadalupe -- Mother of Mexico and the Americas, and the bright star of the New Evangelization, pray for us. ”

Reflections of A Carmelite Sister after seeing “For Greater Glory” June 1, 2012

“We rarely go to a movie theatre. Yet, a once-in-a -lifetime opportunity was offered my community the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, to be part of a premier showing of “For Greater Glory” on May 31st in Beverly Hills. 75 of our sisters immediately said “yes” to the gracious invitation of Archbishop Jose Gomez. Why? Because it was during those days, the days of the horrendous religious persecution in Mexico in the 1920s that our community began. Mother Mary Louisa Josefa of the Blessed Sacrament, affectionately known as Mother Luisita, had already accepted 55 sisters into the new community.

“It was on July 31, 1926, that President Plutarco Elias Calles enforced the anti-clerical law throughout Mexico. The following day, August l, 1926, all religious services were stopped throughout Mexico. No more Masses. No more Marriages. No more first Communions. No more religious practices of any kind. This is where the movie begins. And that is why we are so interested. Our community was just beginning at that time also.

“Regular folk, people like you and me, felt the lose of religious freedom all the way to their deepest soul. In the region of Los Altos, where my community and the cristeros originated, a new group formed made up of these Cristeros who protested the law. There was a boycott. There was a petition. When all these failed, there rose up a group known as “cristeros” who fought for three years to reclaim their churches and their religious freedom… I had read about how some of our first sisters had been put in jail… about sleeping on mats… having to get up at moments notice and take all their belongings and escape over roof tops to safety. I had read coded letters to which our holy foundress, Venerable Mother Luisita wrote in detail about current fashions… “Well after the seeing the movie, I understood. It was for the sisters to wear a better disguise so they would not be discovered and arrested. After I saw the movie, “For Greater Glory”, it all became real to me. The blood. The torture. The injustice of it all. Above all, the faith of the people. What faith!

“Some of you reading this column might know us, because you child is in one of our schools, or a family member is in one of our health centers. Or perhaps you participated in one of our retreats we offer. But, today in this column you will learn more. Our community was born in religious persecution. Our first sisters and the people who stood by them were courageous, strong Catholics.

“When Mother Luisita arrived by train into the United States in June 1927, she stepped from the train and kissed the ground of a free country with religious freedom. She could wear the Carmelite habit.” Groups of sisters remained in Mexico, hidden by families who knew they would be killed if the Sisters were found in their homes…

“I urge you to see the movie “For Greater Glory” and when it is over, like me, you will probably see some parallels. Viva Cristo Rey! (Long live Christ the King!)”        George H. Kubeck

"For Greater Glory" 1 of 2

“For Greater Glory” 1 of 2

Written by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez, Tues. 29, 2012 - cinops be gone - Mon. June 11/2012
Ref. http://carmelitesistersocd.com/forgreaterglory.asp

“The anti-Catholic persecutions in the 1920s and 1930s are long forgotten, it seems. The reality is hard to believe. Just a generation ago, not far from our border, thousands of men, women and eve children, were imprisoned, exiled, tortured and murdered. All for the “crime” of believing in Jesus Christ and wanting to live by their faith in him.

“So I welcome the new film, “For Greater Glory.” It tells the dramatic story of this unknown war against religion and our Church’s heroic resistance. It’s a strong film with the timely message. It reminds us that our religious liberties are won by blood and we can never take them for granted.

“That such repressions could happen in a nation so deeply Catholic as Mexico should make everybody stop and think. Mexico was the original cradle of Christianity in the New World. It was the missionary base from which most of North and South America, and parts of Asia, were first evangelized.

“Yet following the revolution in 1917, the new atheist-socialistic regime vowed to free the people from all “fanaticism and prejudice.” Churches, seminaries and convents were seized, desecrated and many were destroyed. Catholic schools and newspapers were shut down; Catholic political parties and labor unions banned. Priests were tortured and killed, many of them shot while celebrating Mass.

“The dictator, Plutarco Elias Calles, used to boast about the numbers of priests he had executed. His hatred of organized religion ran deep. He really believed his reign of terror could exterminate the Church and wipe the memory of Christ from Mexico within a single generation.

“It became a time of international Catholic solidarity, American Catholics opened their doors to refugees fleeing the violence. My predecessor, Archbishop John Cantwell, welcomed many here to Los Angeles - including Venerable Maria Luisa Josefa de la Pena and Blessed Maria Ines Teresa Aria.

“We need to ask for the strength to be Cristeros. By their dying they showed us what we should be living for.” “Ordinary Catholics became Cristeros, courageous defenders of Jesus Christ. May felt compelled to take up arms to defend the rights in what became known as the Cristeros War. Others chose nonviolent means to bear witness to Christ.”

“I die but God does not die,” Blessed Anacleto Gonzales Flores and before his execution. His words were prophetic.” “Martyrs are not defined by their dying but by what they choose to live for. And the Cristeros’ blood became the seed for the Church of future generations in Mexico.

“Today, we need to know their names and we need to know their stories.” “We need to know about the beautiful young catechist, Venerable Maria de la Luz Camacho. When the army came to burn her church down, she stood in front of the door and blocked their way. They shot her dead. But the church was somehow spared.”

“We need to know about all the heroic priests who risked their lives to celebrate Mass and hear confessions. Growing up, we had prayer cards made for a grainy photograph of one of these priests, Blessed Miguel Pro. He is standing before a firing squad without blindfold, his arms stretched wide like Jesus on the cross as he cries out his last word: VIVO CRISTO REY! LONG LIVE CHRIST THE KING

“We need to learn from the examples of all the Cristeros who have been canonized and beatified by the Church. And today especially, we need to pray for their intercession…”

George H. Kubeck - to be continued - The movie is a must see.

The Core of Catholic Beliefs

The Core of Catholic Beliefs

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Corpus Christi Sunday, June 10, 2012

For our many non-Catholic readers of this blog; the following by the great Dominican St. Thomas Aquinas, in today’s “Liturgy of the Hours” we have the core of our Catholic beliefs. He said it best.

“Since it was the will of God’s only begotten Son that men should share in his divinity, he assumed our nature in order that by becoming man he might men gods. Moreover, he took our flesh he dedicated the whole of its substance to our salvation.

“He offered his body to God the Father on the altar of the cross as a sacrifice for our reconciliation. He shed his blood for our ransom and purification, so that we might be redeemed from our wretched state of bondage and cleansed from all sin. But to ensure that the memory of so great a gift would abide with us forever, he left his body as food and his blood as drink for the faithful to consume in the form of bread and wine.

“O precious and wonderful banquet, that brings us salvation and contains all sweetness! Could anything be of more intrinsic value?

“Under the old law it was it was the flesh of calves and goats that was offered, but here Christ himself, the true God, is set before us as our food. What could be more wonderful than this?

“No other sacrament has greater healing power; through it sins are purged away, virtues are increased, and the soul is enriched with an abundance of every spiritual gift. It is offered in the Church for the living and the dead, so that what was instituted for the salvation of all may be for the benefit of all.

“Yet, in the end, no one can fully express the sweetness of this sacrament, in which spiritual delight is tasted at its very source, and in which we renew the memory that surpassing love for us which Christ revealed in his passion.

“It was to impress the vastness of this love more firmly upon the hearts of the faithful that our Lord instituted the sacrament at the Last Supper. As he was on the point of leaving the world to go to the Father, after celebrating the Passover with his disciples, he left it as a perpetual memorial of his passion.

“It was the fulfillment of ancient figures and the greatest of all his miracles, while for those who were to experience the sorrow of his departure, it was destined to be a unique and abiding consolation.”

Down With the ACLU

Down With the ACLU

The relentless pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Saturday, June 9, 2012

Preface:
1.) In my next letter we have a very sad commentary on the National Catholic Reporter, America, and Commonweal magazines. Yesterday, the rally for Stand up for Freedom of Religion in Santa Ana, California was outstanding. It was two hours long. It was written up in today’s Orange County Register. We needed to leave after the first hour.

2.) We love atheists. They have always been a minority in our country. But today they seem to have a great influence among the elite and the 2-faced-double-standard news media. With their propaganda, they are ruling over us. It is a sick fashion to be anti-Catholic, anti-Christian and blatantly hateful of traditional America.

3.) You don’t have to lie about the ACLU or Obama’s HHS Mandate. Just speak the truth. The truth hurts and the whole truth hurts even more. It is absolutely important for all of us to know who the enemies are of the Catholic Church in America. We cannot remain blind to the reality. There are organizations that want to destroy us and make us into second-class American citizens.

4.) It is now my firm belief that at least one person in your family ought to be a member of The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights. And it is not because, I have been a member for over forty years. These are trying times for Catholics and all Americans must be intelligently informed. Excuse me but we Catholics are poorly informed voters. I am going to order today the Catholic League’s 2011 Report on Anti-Catholicism. Copies sell for $10.00 by check or credit card. Catholic League, 450 Seventh Ave., New York, NY 10123 or order online at www.catholicleague.org

5.) Lastly, here is the article in the Catholic League’s monthly Catalyst May 2012:

Obama Enlists ACLU To War on Catholics

The more the bishops study the issue, the more resolved they are in opposing ObamaCare. At the heart of the bishops objections is the contrived and unjust way the Obama administration defines a religious organization; it grants an exemption only to what it deems is a religious entity. In point of fact, it is the ACLU that is really dictating to Catholics what passes as a religious institution.

In 2000, the California Contraceptive Equity Law was passed. In it there is a provision defining what qualifies as religious employer, and it was written by the ACLU. Besides noting that the institution must be non-profit, the exact qualifying language is as follows: a) “The inculcation of religious values is the purpose of the entity.” b) “The entity primarily employs persons who share the religious tenets of the entity.” c) “The entity serves primarily persons who share the religious tenets of the entity.”

The health and Human Services edict forcing Catholic institutions to provide abortion inducing drugs in their insurance coverage also allows an exemption for groups it deems religious. Besides noting the non-profit status, the exact qualifying language is as follows: “Has the inculcation of religious values as its purpose” “Primarily employs persons who share its relig. tenets.” “Primarily serves persons who share its relig. Tenets”

Having written a Ph.D dissertation and two books on the ACLU, Bill Donohue said, “The ACLU has long been an enemy of religious liberty. Indeed, when it was founded in 1920 by Roger Baldwin (whom I interviewed in 1968), it listed all provisions of the First Amendment among its first ten goals. not among them was religious liberty. And these are the same folks that Obama turns to in his war on Catholics.”

Why the Lawsuit on Obama's HHS Mandate?

Why the Lawsuit on Obama’s HHS Mandate?

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Thursday, June 7, 2012

Dedicated to the Second National “Stand Up for Freedom” Rally, Friday, June 8th at Noon

Sources of information: Our Sunday Visitor, June 3rd, 2012 and the “Catalyst” May 2012, and the Founding Fathers

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, “We have tried negotiation with the Administration and legislation with the Congress - and will keep at it - and there’s still no fix. Time is running out, and our precious ministries and fundamental rights hang in the balance, so we have to resort to the courts now.”

Father John Jenkins, President of Notre Dame, “If we concede that the government can decide which religious organizations are sufficiently religious to be awarded the freedom to follow principles that define their mission, then we have begun to walk down a path that ultimately leads to the undermining of those institutions.”

“This lawsuit is about an unprecedented attack by the federal government on one of most cherished freedoms: the freedom to practice one’s religion without government interference … The HHS mandate that all employers [including Catholic Charities] provide abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraceptives includes only a narrow exemption for certain organizations that the government deems sufficiently “religious.”

The first three following ACLU* criteria will decide what qualifies as a religious institution: 1.) “Has the inculcation of religious values as its purpose.” 2.) Primarily employees persons who share its religious tenets.” 3.) Primarily serves persons who share its religious tenets.” [4.) and the organization falls within a certain tax code provision defining a narrow subset of religious nonprofits. *[In 2000, Ca. Contraceptive Equity Law.]

“This exemption runs contrary to decades of federal laws that have consistently honored and respected the conscience rights of religious institutions and individuals. This radical and narrow definition of what constitutes a “religious employer” attacks religious freedom by defining it away only to houses of worship… reduces religious freedom to freedom of worship. We serve everyone: The exemption excludes most Catholic hospitals, schools, universities and social services providers, even though they are “religious” organizations by any reasonable definition.”

“Invasive government inquiry: The exemption also involves an invasive federal government inquiry into an organization’s religious beliefs and practices, by conferring powers on government forbidden by the Constitution.” [The 1st Amendment.]

“Separation of Church and State: The Founding Fathers had in mind keeping the State out of the internal affairs of the church - exactly what we face today with the HHS mandate. The First Amendment which forbids the government from establishing a state religion [Which the mandate tries to do:] and prohibiting the free exercise of religion and in the Religious Freedom Restoration Act which forbids government from imposing a substantial burden on religious exercise…

George H. Kubeck, *Call for a condemnation of the ACLU. Bill Donohue [Catalyst] said, “The ACLU has long been an enemy of religious liberty… in 1978 I interviewed Roger Baldwin. It listed all the provisions of the 1st Amendment among its ten goals. Not among them was religious liberty…”

The Angry Lazy Bigotry of Maureen Dowd

The Angry Lazy Bigotry of Maureen Dowd

The relentless pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Thursday, June 7, 2012

(Thanks to Carl E. Olson, excerpts from his article, Wed. May 2, 2012 from Catholic World Report - http://www.catholicworldreport.com/Controls/PrinterFriendly/PrinterFriendly.aspx )

“Maureen Dowd, as most readers know, writes a regular op-ed column for the New York Times. Her dislike for certain people and institutions is quite obvious, mostly because she fixates on them in nearly every column: men, the Catholic Church (specifically, the pope, bishops, priests), Republican (especially men who are leaders in the GOP), …
“David F. Pierre Jr., a regular contributor to CWR, puts it very well in a recent post on The Media Report site:

“The Times’ obsession with the Catholic Church has clearly become pathological. It is unwavering in the ideological commitment to bludgeon the Church by any means necessary, and the principle means by which it does this is to endlessly rehash the sex abuse scandals.

“Anti-Catholicism is indeed pervasive at the Grey Lady. The paper intensely dislikes the Catholic Church and what it represents. And it cannot countenance the fact that the Vatican is finally pushing back against openly dissenting individuals who have opposed the Church by speaking favorably on “progressive” issues with which the Times aligns itself.

An Analysis of the Style of Dowd’s Writings:

“Dowd seems to have a special aversion … facts… a liberated woman such as Dowd who has been liberated not only from men but also from the reality and appearance of actual research and thoughtful writing… Not everything is political, but Dowd will have none of it. Having given into laziness and bigotry, she has taken the next logical step and become a paranoid conspiracy theorist…

“Dowd, in conclusion, gets almost nothing right about the Church; she does get much wrong, and in a way that speaks poorly about her motives and integrity. Her writing is lazy, her arguments are non-existent, and she is so intense on grinding here axe she cannot see the forest for the trees. She is in sum, a female Dan Brown, but without the best sellers or the movies. Her column [Bishops Plays Church Queens as Pawns] is just the latest in a long line of similar pieces.”

The Leadership Conference of Women Religious: (LCWR)

“LCWR - a group, by the way, which does not represent all women religious in the U.S. but about 80%. (Also notable: the average age of LCWR sister is seventy, while non-LCWR sisters average thirty-some years of age.) … In fact, the CDF document is very much concerned with essential beliefs and nature of the Church. To provide just one example:

“Addresses given during LCWR annual Assemblies manifest problematic statements and serious theological, even doctrinal errors. The Cardinal offered as an example specific passages of Sr. Laurie Brink’s address about some Religious “moving beyond the Church” or even beyond Jesus. This is a challenge not only to core Catholic beliefs; such a rejection of faith is also a serious source of scandal and incompatible with religious life.”

“Does Dowd think the Church can exist without belief in Jesus? Does she think women religious can be fully and really Catholic if they deny the centrality of Jesus Christ and the Church he founded? Does she think a Catholic can reject Catholic beliefs and still, in good conscience and without a trace of cynicism, say, “I’m a good Catholic’? (I suspect the answers are “Probably, sure, and yes”.)

George H. Kubeck, The correct answer is NO! Thankfully, the HHS Mandate will flush out these fraudulent Catholics which the culture of death N.Y. Times is using to destroy traditional America.

Talking Points for a Free People

Talking Points for a Free People

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Tuesday, June 5, 2012

The mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about the following so it up to the Free Press, talk radio and you to discuss in this election year the following.

1.) “Each year, roughly 7,000 blacks are murdered. 94% of the time, the murderer is another black person. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, between 1976 and 2011, there were 279,384 black murder victims.” Walter Williams. This is in our lifetime. Nobody seems to be concerned even among the black leadership in America. Why?

2.)The Department of Justice is working hard with Black ministers to get them involved with the reelection of President Barack Obama. Is that more important? “A much larger issue is how might we interpret the deafening silence about the day-to-day murder in black communities compared with the national uproar over the killing of Trayton Martin.

Such a response by politicians, civil rights organizations and the mainstream news media news media could easily be interpreted as “black killing other blacks is of little concern, but it’s unacceptable for a white to kill a black person.” Walter Williams, Human Events.

3.) This afternoon I saw the film “For Greater Glory.” It is the most Catholic film shown in decades. It is a must see. It is dedicated to the thousands of Catholic Mexicans (Cristeros) who died for religious freedom in the 1920’s. Their motto was: “Long Live Christ the King and Our Lady of Guadalupe.” A type of agreement was reached in June 21, 1929. The church bells rang. There is a problem with the 1917 Mexican Constitution.

This film should be discussed during “The Fortnight of Freedom of Religion” from June 21st to July 4th to be held in all U.S. dioceses. We can tie it in with Newsmax article, “Andy Garcia’s New Movie Echoes Current Church Vs. Government Battle” Friday, May 25, 2012 by Paul Scichchitano and Kathleen Walter

“Actor Andy Garcia tells Newsmax TV in an exclusive interview that he sees parallels between his new critically acclaimed movie chronicling the fight for religious freedom in 1920’s Mexico and the current struggle of America’s Catholics against the Obama administration’ attack on their religious beliefs.

“Where that line drawn … the concept of religious freedom … or even a greater concept which is absolute freedom,” declared Garcia, … “How deeply does the government get involved in your personal decisions as an individual? In this case - dealing with a movie - it’s about your right to practice your faith. And so this is been something unfortunately that’s been going on that repeats itself in history.

“As a Cuban-born Garcia’s new movie, “For Greater Glory,” opened on June 1 in nearly 800 theaters, the Academy nominated Garcia also sees similarities to the his family’s own struggle for freedom from Communist government they fled when he was only five years old.” [The tyrant Castro is still there; so are the commie tyrants in Vietnam.]

4.) For Obama, politics is life and is a secular religion. This is year round. For Romney, politics does not define us. We are facing a national secular anti-Christian religion. A national religion is illegal. Check the 1st Amendment to the Constitution.

Democrat Resigns from Party, Cites Her Catholic Faith

Democrat Resigns from Party, Cites Her Catholic Faith

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Monday, June 4, 2012
Thanks to Matthew Arnold for this article in the National Catholic Register, May 28/12

“Nardelli has been the focus of quite the firestorm in Pennsylvania because the thing is that Jo Ann Nardell isn’t just another Democratic committeewoman. She’s the president and founder of the Blair County Federation of Democratic Women, she was Vice President of the PA State Women’s Caucus, and was 1st Vice President of the PA State Federation of Democratic Women (she had been in line for the presidency of that organization in 2014).

“She met Hillary Clinton, gave a rosary to Joe Biden, and appeared on the cover of the U.S. News and World Report going to Church with then Senate candidate Bob Casey Jr. Nardell has always been a pro-life Democrat and felt there was always room for that position in the party.

“But she said that for the past few years she’s felt that the party was drifting further and further away from her. She said she never shied away from speaking about her Catholic faith or her pro-life views as a Democrat…

“In a letter of resignation to the Democratic party, Nardelli cited her Catholic faith.

“I respect all of you and all that I have achieved in the past. Due to personal matters and faith beliefs at this time, it is only fair to resign,” she wrote. “I will miss you all very much as you are all a part of the family; however, it is time to move forward with my life in a direction that is more in line with my faith.”

“She announced her decision at a press conference at the courthouse in Hollidaysburg and standing next to her was Monsignor Anthony Little of the local parish Saint Patrick’s in Newry.

“She said it started a few weeks ago, ironically as she and her husband were getting ready for Mass and watching “Meet the Press” when Joe Biden, a Catholic, cited his support for gay marriage. This shocked her. She said she’d always related to Biden. She said he reminded her of her father. But this announcement shocked her. And then, shortly after, President Obama announced that he’d “evolved” into supporting gay “marriage.”

“And then as a Democratic committeewoman she received her agenda from the party espousing the same position. “To stand up and agree and sign off on this I couldn’t do it,” she said, “So I talked to our priest.” While she didn’t say what they talked about, she said Monsignor Little warned her that she would be the focus of much criticism.

“His words have proved prophetic. Nardelli said she’s heard from people saying she hates gays or that she’s a bigot.* It got so bad that she started screening her calls. And she didn’t know who was calling to say something terrible or something nice to her. She said that even when Republicans called her, she’s afraid to pick up simply because she doesn’t know them. I’ve been a Democrat for over 40 years,” she laughed. “I don’t know any of the Republicans.

“She’s been shocked at how the story about her announcement has taken off with reporters… Nardelli says she simply had no other choice. When it came to choosing between her faith and her party, she chose her faith. “God is the reason for all being,” she said, “We have to follow our faith.”

George H. Kubeck, Pray that there will be many more Nardellis. In our fake culture, it is a badge of honor to be called a bigot* because one believes that marriage is between a man and a woman.

A Personal Choice, and Catholic Voters on HHSM

A Personal Choice, and Catholic Voters on HHSM

In pursuit of the truth - cinops be gone - Trinity Sunday, June 3, 2012
“Glory to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.”

Personal Choice: Experts recommend that a new blogger like myself spend 80% of his time on promotion and 20% on Content production. There is the youtube.com and podomatic.com. If I did that instead of sending out one significant letter each day for the next five months, you would receive only 30. What should I do?

Educational info leading to the defeat of President Obama is crucial in Nov. Obama will do anything to get reelected even change his mind on the HHS Mandate! He can’t be trusted. It may help if we read the following information from Steve Ertelt, LifeNews.com - 5/22/12 - “Obama Loses 14 Points with Catholic Voters Over HHS Mandate.”

“While the numbers are positive for pro-life advocates, Thomas Peters at CatholicVote, a pro-life group suggests much more can be done to educate Catholic voters on and on just how out of step Obama is with their values. Amazingly, only 50% of respondents said they heard of the debate over the HHS Mandate. That means we need to be talking about all of these issues more, because half of America isn’t even aware of what is going on!” Steve Ertelt

KNOWING WHAT IS GOING ON IS WHAT THIS BLOG IS ALL ABOUT! We try hard to have something to say rather than say something. If possible YOU CAN HELP. Please e-mail to all your friends e-mails that inform, educate and persuade. Or send me their e-mails to me. I can forward letters to them. They can always delete them. Or do post complete significant e-mails on youtube.com. Time wise, I can’t to get into this.

“A recent survey by the Pew Research Center shows that, despite the administration’s self-portrayal as champion of “women issues” amidst as supposed Republican “war on women,” the president’s reelection advantage among women has declined in recent months as well with another key demographic - Catholics.

“Obama was ahead among Catholics by 9 points in early March, and is now trailing by 5 points. The Pew survey finds that, among Catholic voters with an opinion, 47% would today vote for President Obama, and 52% for former Mass. Governor Mitt Romney. That same margin, were it to hold on Election Day, would mark a swing of 18 million voters away from Obama. The losss of these Catholic votes alone would remake the 2008 electoral map, delivering Florida to Governor Romney and leaving the president no margin of error in Colorado or Ohio.” Steve Ertelt

What excites me is that there are about 60 CINO politicians in Congress and 13 in the Senate. We can have a wipe out almost all 13 in the Senate and about 40 in Congress in this presidential election cycle. In the 2010 election cycle, we wiped out [defeated and replaced] about 20 CINO politicians. If the above educational trends continue, we can defeat a few of the 13 CINO politicians in California and that includes Loretta Sanchez.

Talk about war on women. Most of the CINO politicians in Congress voted last week to allow sex-selection (a boy or girl) by mothers and fathers to be. The U.S. CINOP followed in the footsteps of President Obama. Sad! This is like China!

George H. Kubeck - Pray that the above educational trends continue for all Americans. Mark you calendar to say NO to HHS Mandate to provide free contraceptives and abortion inducing drugs in their health plans. Meet Fri. June 8 at 12:00 PM. Plaza of Flags, 700 Civic Center Dr. W. Santa Ana.

Occupy Wall Street: A Fraud

Occupy Wall Street: A Fraud

The relentless pursuit of the truth: www.cinopsbegoneblogspot.com - Sat. June 2, 2012

Thanks to the 2-faced-double-standard news media OWS is a fraud and a tragedy for the nation. Thankfully, there are many exceptions to what is not spiked or slanted or reported to the country. [Wall Street J.] What is the background and who are the leaders of this movement? Shouldn’t that be public information. The Tea Party is an open book. With the OWS we are dealing with masters of deception. J. Edgar Hoover wrote a book on the Communists. I remember well the Cold War commie front organization. Now we are dealing with their children and grandchildren. What we have is dead journalism and a cover-up by leftists. A nation can’t survive as a country with the cancer of a destructive Pravda news media. They dupe one and all. Our free press must expose them.

May I share with you excerpts from David Horowitz and John Perrazo’s 60 page booklet “Occupy Wall Street”*The Communist Movement Reborn. Both are informed.

Strategy of Deception: 21

Concealing the strategic roles played by these longtime activists and communist nostalgists, OWS officially insists that it is a “leaderless resistance movement” composed of “people of many colors, genders and political persuasion.” It claims to be a populist rather than radical, collection of ordinary Americans “fighting back against the oppressive power of major banks and multinational corporations over the democratic process,” and against “the role of Wall Street in creating an economic collapse that has caused the greatest recession in generations.” [The evidence is conclusive that the continued economic tragedy is caused by the policies of President Barack Obama over the last three and one-half years.]

[Here is the brain and eye opener:] 25

The left that organized the OWS protests was the same left that had previously promoted the LOOSENING of banking standards during the Clinton administration, and was the driving force behind the Community Reinvestment Act, which pressured the banks into dropping their credit requirements.

This abandonment of banking standards created the bad loans that led to the subprime mortgage crisis, and securitization of those bad loans by the banks that led to the financial meltdown. All of this was a direct outcome of the “breaking the system” strategy devised by Piven and Rathke and pushed by ACORN & their congress. [Democratic] allies.

The goal was to overwhelm the financial system by flooding its books with loans to people who couldn’t afford to pay them back. When the banks - out of greed yes - then securitized the bad loans, the system came crashing down. [The Left’s mindset is to prostitute the poor for politic. gain. ]

The Issue is never the Issue: 26

A Sixties activist once said, “The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.” This is the most carefully guarded secret of the left. The plight of the Vietnamese was never the real issue for the Sixties activists who opposed the Vietnam War. When the U.S. withdrew its forces, the left’s concern for the Vietnamese was over as well. When the communist victors they had helped to power began slaughtering the Vietnamese, the left did not organize protests to defend them. The issue was never the Vietnamese. It was always the revolution, always the left’s war against America…

Now if your house is underwater and your on part-time or no employment, thank the mindset of the left for your predicament. Ideas have results. They are responsible and no one else. If you disagreed with them at that time they would hound you with: Oh you don’t care about poor people.]

Background to the Film "For Greater Glory"

Background to the Film “For Greater Glory”

Relentless pursuit of the truth - www.cinopsbegoneblogspot. - Friday, June 1, 2012

Thanks Pablo Jose Barroso a real-estate developer, turned film producer, we have the film, “For Greater Glory.” Ref. National Catholic Register’s interview by Tim Drake. 5/20/12

1.) What prompted you to make “For Greater Glory”?

I’ve always been Catholic. I’m a real-estate developer who had and encounter to be closer to God. Through that, I learned that the way to share God’s message is through mass media. Pope John Paul II said that we need to use the same language that the culture is.

I produced Guadalupe in 2005 and a children’s film, but I had my heart set on something bigger. With the Cristero [War], we had the opportunity to do a larger Hollywood film. We knew it would be difficult to get the actors, directors, music, but it came out beyond my expectations. The Holy Spirit timing is amazing. This was supposed to be ready last fall, but it was delayed because we wanted to make a shorter version…

2.) When did your work begin on the film?

At the end of 2008 we started seeking a good script… We utilized the work of a French historian who had interviewed many Ciristeros [the rebels who fought against the Mexican government’s persecution of Catholics in the late 1920s]… We wanted a director who could make the story entertaining. We ended up getting Dean Wright who had worked on Titanic and The Lord of the Rings, who wanted to do something for the Lord. He loved the project. Everyone … was moved by the story.

3. What was the reaction by preview audience?

We showed the papal nuncio from Mexico the film. He was very moved. Bishops and cardinals in Mexico and U.S., some historians and others have seen it…

The Mexican government set up its own church, deported all foreign priests, and made the sacraments unavailable. Even after the war ended in 1929, each local governor continued to enforce the constitutional anti-clerical laws in different ways. Officially, priests couldn’t wear religious garments in public until 1998, … We now have the opportunity to worship God freely..

4.) Tell me about the film?

It’s a great experience because it takes you to that period and beautiful country, with its art and settings. It’s a story of hope, of freedom and heroism. The film tells the story of the pacifist movement, a group of people who were trying to change things in Congress peacefully, as well as the story of a former general who is recruited to organize the Cristeros into an army.

You also see several of the martyrs, including Blessed Jose Sanchez del Rio. In the end, it’s about people standing up against oppression and dying for Christ. My hope is that it will give viewers great hope.

5.) What do you hope viewers take away from the film?

I think that culturally, we’re not being congruent with our religious beliefs. We are not standing up for our faith. We’ve been tolerating things that are wrong. It seems as if it is it’s easier for people to be against God than to claim him as their Creator. In this Year of Faith [to begin in October], the Holy Spirit can help people to be more faithful. If only one person who doesn’t believe in God sees this film and reflects on him, that is my best hope…

George H. Kubeck, The film begins today in the top 100 markets. Hope you will be able to view it.
