California is financially bankrupt and passing out I.O.U.’s. Texas did not take the stimulus package and is overall better off. The California legislature is intellectually and morally the most corrupt one in the country. You can compare it to Obama’s Cook County in Illinois. Texas does not have this kind of legislature.
Today, California is a replica of Obama’s U.S.A.! And because honest journalism in America is dead and tragically enamored with the Obama regime our state and country remains uninformed. Hopefully the Tea Parties will show up again this coming Labor Day Weekend.
In the past several years, the bills passed by the California legislature are fundamentally anti-family, anti-life and anti-freedom. That is not the case in Texas. They did not vote in politicians who are beholden to special interest groups. These politicians legislate for the Hollywood and the gay agendas and unions, particularly the teachers unions. Notice I did not say the professional teacher organizations. We do not have any in California. S.B. 160 – Rodda Act killed the profession in 1975 when it was signed into law by the despicable Governor Jerry Brown. It legalized the politics of unionism. {Professional teaching is dead. It was still alive when I was a member of NEA, CTA & WTA from 1963-68.}
Texas is a Right to Work State. That blunts special interests group like the aforementioned above. Texas voted for parental notification by over 60%. California defeated it by about 51%. Texans are smarter.
The state Democratic Party in Texas is not what it is in California. In California it is the party of abortion, the party of same-sex marriage, the party of embryonic stem-cell research, the party of assisted-suicide and euthanasia. And in Congress we are shamed with nincompoops like Nancy Pelosi, Loretta and Linda Sanchez, Ellen Tauscher; in fact all of the other Catholic-in-name-only Congressmen from California. FAKE CATHOLIC LABEL POLITICIANS PROMOTE SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IN AMERICA. THAT IS THE MANTRA THIS BLOG WILL REPEAT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND I HOPE YOU WILL ALSO.
The leader of this CINOP CABAL besides the two CINOP Senators Kennedy and Kerry in Massachusetts is NANCY PELOSI the wonder woman from San Francisco. She is the one that intruded into Massachusetts politics and blocked a Proposition 8 type marriage amendment a couple of years ago to be on the November 2008 election ballot. This week, Massachusetts, the first state to legalize gay marriage sued the U.S. government Wednesday over a federal law that defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
We had great hope in our Governor Arnold, but he truly has an albatross around his neck with his wife CINOP Maria Schreiber. Arnold turned out to be not only pro-abortion but also for same-sex marriage. Also, the Governor’s billion dollar fiasco in financing embryonic stem-cell research is going nowhere and costing us millions of dollars of borrowed money each year. This is not happening in Texas. Enough said!

“In San Antonio, Texas, between 3,000 and 4,000 gathered in intense heat throughout the day at the Rio Cibolo Ranch. Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as “Joe the Plumber,” was one of the featured speakers along with Gov. Rick Perry, who became the first elected official to sign the CONTRACT WITH THE CONSTITUTION, a document that espouses ten principles including limiting the role of government, protecting the right to bear arms and amending the Constitution to define marriage as union between one man & one woman.”
“The truth of the matter is that our government has gone out of control,” Vermont attorney Steven Howard told an assembled crowd in Burlington. “We have let loose the leash and now it is running rampant.”
“In Louisville, Ky., where some 1500 turned out, Wendy Caswell, president of the local tea party organization, said. “We’re definitely upholding the Constitution, what our forefathers had laid out for us, so it was an honor for us to do it on Independence Day.”

Happy 4th of July from Alaska

On this Independence Day, I am so very proud of all those who have chosen to serve our great nation and I honor their selflessness and sacrifice of their families, too.
If I may, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the last 24 hours and share my thoughts with you.
First, I want to thank your for your support and hard work on the VALUES we share. Those values led to the decision my family and I made. Yesterday, my family and I announced a decision that is in Alaska’s best interest and it always feel good to do what is right. We have accomplished more during this one term than most governors do in two – I am proud of the great team that helped to build these wonderful successes. ENERGY INDEPENDENCE AND NATIONAL SECURITY, FISCAL RESTRAINT, SMALLER GOVERNMENT AND LOCAL CONTROL have been my priorities and will remain my priorities.
For months now, I have consulted with friends and family, and with the Lieutenant Governor, about what is best for our wonderful state. I even made a few administrative changes over that course in time in preparation from yesterday. We have accomplished so much and there’s much more to do, but my family and I determined after prayerful consideration that sacrificing my title helps Alaska most. And once, I decided not to run for re-election, my decision was that much easier - I’ve never been one to waste time or resources. Those who know me know this is the right decision and obvious decision at that, including Senator John McCain. I thank him for his kind, insightful comments.
The response in the main stream media has been most predictable, ironic, and as always, detached from the lives of ordinary Americans who are sick of the ‘POLITICS OF PERSONAL DESTRUCTION.’ How sad that Washington and the media will never understand, it’s about country. And though it’s honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make. But every American understands what it takes to make a decision because it is right for all, including your family.
I shared with you yesterday my heartfelt and candid reasons for the change. I’ve never thought I needed a title before one’s name to forge progress in America. I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our VALUES OF LESS GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION, GREATER ENERGY INDEPENDENCE, STRONGER NATIONAL SECURITY, AND MUCH NEEDED FISCAL RESTRAINT. I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness!

If I were Sarah Palin, I would leave office as well. Alaska Democrats and some Republican power structure politicians hate her because she successful fought corruption in the Alaskan Democratic and Republican parties, defeated a former Republican United States senator (Murkowski) in the Republican governor’s primary, and defeated a former two term Democratic governor in the general election. Some women despise her because she is 45, the mother of 5, and still incredibly beautiful.
Her brother advises that she and her staff were spending about 80% of their time defending against FRIVOLOUS ETHICS COMPLAINTS filed against her. There are no legal or financial impacts for those who file these complaints. So Palin had to defend herself against 15 of them … found guilty of no ethic violations to date. However, investigations of these complaints have cost the taxpayer of Alaska over 2 million dollars, and Palin’s personal legal debts exceeding $500,000 in defending against these ridiculous complaints.

1.) On this day, July 4th, 1776, John Hancock, the Chairman of the Continental Congress, and the Secretary of the Congress both signed the Declaration of Independence of the United States, thereby making it legal. The only government document in world history that is a creedal statement of Bible-based ideals, it contains these phrases:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are
LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS…”
“Appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions...”
“With a firm reliance on the protection of the Divine Providence….”
2.) By this day in 1775, new Commander-in-Chief George Washington’s first General Order was common knowledge throughout the Continental Army:
“The General most earnestly requires and expects a due observance of those articles of war established for the government of the army, which forbids profane, cursing, swearing and drunkenness. And in like manner, he requires and expects of all officers and soldiers not engaged in actual duty, a punctual attendance of Divine services, to implore the blessings of Heaven upon the means used for our safety and defense.” Johnson, Washington, 69
3.) On this day, July 6th, 1775, to explain why several thousand militia from the different Colonies were camped outside Boston, which was occupied by the British, The Continental Congress issued a “Declaration of The Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms.” It concluded: Foster, Covenant, 33.
“With a humble confidence in the mercies of the Supreme and impartial God and ruler of the universe, we most devoutly implore His divine goodness to protect us happily through this great conflict, and to dispose our adversaries to reconciliation on reasonable terms, and thereby to relieve the empire from the calamities of civil war.

Enshrined on the green in Philadelphia where it faces Independence Hall is the beloved symbol of America’s freedom, the “Liberty Bell.” On this day, July 8th, 1776 it pealed in celebration of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence. Inscribed on its base are these words from Leviticus 25:10:

1.) On this day, July 4th, 1776, John Hancock, the Chairman of the Continental Congress, and the Secretary of the Congress both signed the Declaration of Independence of the United States, thereby making it legal. The only government document in world history that is a creedal statement of Bible-based ideals, it contains these phrases:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are
LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS…”
“Appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions...”
“With a firm reliance on the protection of the Divine Providence….”
2.) By this day in 1775, new Commander-in-Chief George Washington’s first General Order was common knowledge throughout the Continental Army:
“The General most earnestly requires and expects a due observance of those articles of war established for the government of the army, which forbids profane, cursing, swearing and drunkenness. And in like manner, he requires and expects of all officers and soldiers not engaged in actual duty, a punctual attendance of Divine services, to implore the blessings of Heaven upon the means used for our safety and defense.” Johnson, Washington, 69
3.) On this day, July 6th, 1775, to explain why several thousand militia from the different Colonies were camped outside Boston, which was occupied by the British, The Continental Congress issued a “Declaration of The Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms.” It concluded: Foster, Covenant, 33.
“With a humble confidence in the mercies of the Supreme and impartial God and ruler of the universe, we most devoutly implore His divine goodness to protect us happily through this great conflict, and to dispose our adversaries to reconciliation on reasonable terms, and thereby to relieve the empire from the calamities of civil war.
4.) Enshrined on the green in Philadelphia where it faces Independence Hall is the beloved symbol of America’s freedom, the “Liberty Bell.” On this day, July 8th, 1776 it pealed in celebration of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence. Inscribed on its base are these words from Leviticus 25:10:

1.) On this day, June 6th 1799, one of America’s great statesmen went to his heavenly reward. A little-known part of Patrick Henry’s legacy to the American people are these words penned on the back of his Stamp Act Resolves as the British pushed further toward war:
“Whether this will prove a blessing or a curse will depend upon the use our people make of the blessings which a gracious God hath bestowed on us. If they are wise, they will be great and happy. If they are of a contrary character, they will be miserable. Righteousness alone can exalt them as a nation. Reader! Whoever thou art, remember this; and in thy sphere practice virtue thyself, and encourage it in others.” Henry, Life, 632
2.) On this afternoon, June 17th, 1775, 2,200 British Redcoats advanced up Breed’s Hill toward the redoubt. Why didn’t they fire? Suddenly the top of the hill erupted in flame. The British fell like scythed wheat – and retreated in confusion down the hill. Where, under General Howe, they reformed and went up again. And again – until the defenders’ powder ran out…
Patriot Corporal Amos Farnsworth wrote in his diary: “Oh, the goodness of God in preserving my life, although they fell on my right and on my left! O may this act of deliverance of thine, O God, lead me never to distrust thee; but may I never trust in thee and put confidence in no arm of flesh!” Commager, Spirit, 122
3.) General Washington made no secret of his Christian faith. Or of his desire that others in his command should have the same resource: Toward the end of the terrible ordeal of Valley Forge he issued this order to the army:
“While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. In the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to laud the more distinguished Character of Christian.” Federer, America’s, 643
4.) On this day, March 28, 1859, Katherine Lee Bates was born. Her hymn, “America the Beautiful,” remains one of Americans’ most beloved prayers for their country: Felleman, Poems, 422
“O beautiful for Patriots’ dream – That sees beyond the years –
Thine alabaster cities gleam – Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! - God shed His grace on thee.
And crown Thy good with brotherhood – From sea to shining sea.”
5.) On this day, April 14th, 1865, Abraham Lincoln went to the theatre with his wife. Later she would recall his last words to her:
“He said he wanted to visit the Holy Land and see those places hallowed by the footprints of the Savior. He was saying there was no city he so much desired to see as Jerusalem. And with the words half spoken on his tongue, the bullet of the assassin entered the brain, and the soul of the great and good President was carried by the angels to the New Jerusalem above.” Hill, Lincoln, 432-22
6.) On this day, May 8th, 1884, Harry Truman was born. Referring to our Founding Fathers’ understanding of human rights, the 33rd President once said:
“The basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul. I don’t think we emphasize that enough these days..
