Thomas Sowell’s Wisdom # 2 of 2
cinops be gone – Monday, October 13, 2008 P.M.
This is part 2 of Thomas Sowell’s classic article which appeared in the Orange County Register, Tues. Oct. 7, 2008.
Then there is the question of being against the “greed’ of CEOs and for “the people.” Franklin Raines made 90 million while he was head of Fannie Mae and mismanaging that institution into crisis.
Who in Congress defended Franklin Raines? Liberal Democrats, including Maxine Walters and the Congressional Black Caucus, at least one of whom referred to the “lynching” of Raines, as if it was racist to hold him to the same standards as white CEOs.
Even after he was deposed as head of Fannie Mae, Frank Raines was consulted this year by the Obama campaign for his advice on housing!
The Washington Post criticized the McCain campaign for calling Raines an advisor to Obama, even thought the fact was reported in the Washington Post itself on July 16. The technicality and the spin here is that Raines is not officially listed as an adviser. But someone who advises is an adviser, whether or not his name appears on a letterhead.
The tie between Barack Obama and Franklin Raines is not all one-way. Obama has been the second-largest recipient of Fannie Mae’s financial contributions, right after Sen. Dodd.
But ties between Obama and Raines? Not if you read the mainstream media.
Facts don’t matter much politically if they are not reported.
The media alone are not alone in keeping the facts from the public. Republicans for reasons unknown don’t seem to know what it is to counterattack. They deserve to lose.
BUT THE COUNTRY DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE PUT IN THE HANDS OF A GLIB AND COCKY KNOW-IT-ALL, WHO HAS ACCOMPLISHED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BEYOND THE ADVANCEMENT OF HIS OWN CAREER WITH RHETORIC, AND WHO HAS FOR YEARS ALLIED HIMSELF WITH A SUCCESSION OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE OPENLY EXPRESSED THEIR HATRED OF AMERICA.

Thomas Sowell's Wisdom # 1 of 2
Thomas Sowell’s Wisdom # 1 of 2
cinops be gone Monday, October 13, 2008 A.M.
This article is a gem by black American Thomas Sowell an economist.
It is In the Orange County Register, Tues. Oct. 7, 2008. Opinion Section p. 9
Abraham Lincoln said, you can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time.”
Unfortunately, the future of this country as well as the fate of the Western world depends on how many people can be fooled on Election Day 4 weeks from today.
Right now, the polls indicate that a whole lot of people are being fooled a whole lot of time.
The current financial bailout crisis has propelled Barack Obama back into a substantial lead over John McCain in opinion polls – which is astonishing in view of which man and which party has had the most to do with bringing on this crisis.
It raises the question: Do facts matter? Or is Obama’s rhetoric and media spin enough to make facts irrelevant?
Fact No. 1: It was liberal Democrats, led by Senator Christopher Dodd and Rep. Barney Frank, who for years including the present year – denied that Fannie May and Freddie Mac were taking big risks that could lead to a financial crisis.
It was Sen. Dodd, Rep. Frank and other liberal Democrats who for years refused requests from the Bush administration to set up an agency to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
It was liberal Democrats, again led by Dodd and Frank, who for years pushed for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to go even further in promoting subprime loans, which are at the heart of today’s financial crisis.
Also, Greenspan warned them 4 years ago. So did the Chairman of the White House council of economic advisers. So did George W. Bush’s Treasury secretary, five years ago.
Yet, today, what are we hearing? That is was the Bush administration “right wing ideology of deregulation” that set the state for the financial crisis. Do facts matter?
We also hear that it is the free market that is to blame. But the facts show it was the government that pressured financial institutions in general to lend to subprime borrowers, with such things as “Community Reinvestment Act” and, later, threats of legal action by then Attorney General Janet Reno if the feds did not like the statistics on who was getting loans and who wasn’t.
Is that the free market? Or do facts not matter?

The Case against Loretta Sanchez - 5
The Case against Loretta Sanchez – 5
cinops be gone – Sunday, October 12, 2008 P.M.
Now let us take a sharp look at the mind and heart of this Catholic label politician. Loretta represents the voters in the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove and Santa Ana. This is the 47th Congressional District in Orange County.
I am looking at a report from “The Laity of the Diocese of Orange County”
thelaity@socal.rr.com dated 6/18/04 ww.thelaity.com. In that year Sanchez was running against an authentic Catholic Dr. Alexandria Coronado in 2004. Her opponent this year is Rosie Avila, 17th year Santa Ana School Board member.
1) Rep. Sanchez voted in favor of using taxpayer money to fund health care plans for federal employees that cover abortion inducing drugs. (Vote 292, 7/16/98)
2) Rep. Sanchez voted in favor of using taxpayer money to fund development of an abortion pill. (Vote 496, 6/8/1999 – Vote 260, 6/24/1998)
3) Rep. Sanchez voted to allow federal taxpayer funding of abortions for federal prisoners. (Vote 387, 8/4/1998, Vote 447, 9/25/1997, Vote 373, 8/4/1999, Vote 318, 6/22/2000, Vote 235, 71/17/2001)
4) Rep. Sanchez voted not once, but twice against a partial-birth abortion ban. (Vote 242, 6/4/03, Vote 530, 10/2/03)
Rep. Sanchez voted against a ban on partial-birth abortions despite language allowing for the procedure to be performed if the mother’s life is endangered. (Vote 325, 7/23/1998, Vote 65, 3/20/1997, Vote 343, 7/24/2002.
5) Rep. Sanchez voted against establishing an intentional, violent crime against a pregnant woman’s unborn child as a separate criminal act. (Vote 465, 9/30/99)
6. Rep. Sanchez voted against making it a crime for anyone other than a minor’s parent to transport a minor across state lines without parental approval for the purpose of having an abortion. (Vote 261, 6/30, 1999, Vote 280, 7/15/1998, Vote 97, 4/17/2002.) ++++ 7. Rep. Sanchez voted against an amendment to add $33 million to community based abstinence education programs. (Vote 379, 10/11/01)
8) Rep. Sanchez supported an order by the Washington, DC Commission on Human Rights to reinstate two homosexual Boy Scout leaders and compensate them $50,000 each. (Vote 354, 9/25/01) ++++ 9) Rep. Sanchez voted against an amendment to prevent joint adoption of children in Washington, DC by homosexuals or other individuals not related or married. (Vote 345, 7/29/99)
10) Rep Sanchez opposed a bill to prohibit the sale to minors of a broad range of material that contains violent or sexual depictions. This plan would punish offenders with a fine and/or prison sentence. (Vote 213, 6/16/99) THIS VOTE IS NOT SURPRISING BECAUSE ONE OF MS. SANCHEZ’ BIGGEST …. CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTOR IS HER FRIEND, PORNOGRAPHY ICON HUGH HEFNER.
(With the above you have the judgment and character of Loretta Sanchez.)

Dear Reader,
I love traditional America. I hate any secular European America. For me, that’s what these elections are all about.
For the next 3 weeks, you will be bombarded with all kinds of information. Millions will be voting with absentee ballots. So if you should get a couple or more e-mails each day from this blog, I apologize because it is better to report very important info to you and not waste your precious time. This blog (cinops be gone) is dedicated to the exposure and removal of Catholic-in-name-only politicians like Loretta Sanchez from office.
I am looking forward to a McCain-Palin victory and in particular to a Rosie Avila victory in the 47th Congressional District in Orange County.
It’s all about Character, Judgment and who do you Trust?
George H. Kubeck,
P.S. At 27, I was a legal immigrant from Canada in 1958; I volunteered in the U.S. Army and obtained U.S. citizenship in three years. I perceive Barack Obama as a presidential candidate who hates traditional America.
Obama hangs around with the Hate America Crowd. No immigrant legal or illegal hates America. I feel and I speak for the immigrants from Mexico, Central America, Cuba and
Vietnam.
Be aware dear Vietnamese that the true anti-communist in this campaign is not Loretta Sanchez. It is Rosie Avila. I will write articles on her Democratic Party and what they did during the Vietnamese War.
Also, remember, I was the only white American guy who protested weekly with you at the Bowers Museum when they had pro-communist Communist Vietnamese art work on display. I was also protesting the injustice of returning Elian Gonzales back to Communist Castro Cuba in the year 2000.

A Most Powerful Message
A Most Powerful Message
cinops be gone Friday, October 10, 2008
It’s a breadth of fresh air. Just listen to Bishop Thomas Olmstead of Phoenix. In his booklet, second edition of “Catholics in the Public Square” warns that the infamous, “I am a Catholic but …” ‘syndrome’ cannot interfere with the integrity of the life lived according to faith. (LifeSiteNews.com –Thurs. Oct. 9/08)
“If one’s faith does not impact on one’s whole life, including one’s political and social responsibilities” writes the bishop, “then it is not authentic faith, it is a sham a counterfeit.”
“If a politician is actively supporting and furthering the culture of death, he is not only causing scandal he is sinning,” writes the bishop.
In an interview with Zenith about the booklet, Bishop Olmstead answered the question, “Why is the Catholic voice struggling to make itself heard in the public square?”
He answered, “With the influence of modernity and Enlightenment philosophies, many voices in secular society contend that religion is pure subjectivism and has a role only in people private lives.”
“If we let our faith impact on the way we practice a profession, engage the culture, or become involved in political struggles,” said Olmstead, “then we are accused of imposing our faith on others … These contentions are often based on a false understandings of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which in fact protects the practice of religion from coercion by the state, rather than limiting the religious voice.”
“When Catholics are afraid to express their beliefs in public, they begin to travel down the path that divides faith from life. Faith begins to be purely spiritual, with no impact on other dimensions of their lives. Then it becomes impossible to live a life of integrity…”
“Notice how often Jesus tells his followers: ‘Be not afraid,” said the bishop. “It takes both courage and wisdom to engage our culture and be involved in the public square. We are called to exercise both faith and reason, being careful to inform our conscience on the basis of objective truth.”
P.S. The secular religion is one of many religions within our society. It is unconstitutional for the U.S. government to promote a national state religion. And that is what is happening in America? The secular religion is being promoted.
As a member of the Catholic laity, I intend to contact Loretta Sanchez, Lou Correa and Jose Solaria. They are politicians using the Catholic label to get elected. As authentic Catholics I expect them to call a news conference and declare that they are for Proposition 8 – that marriage is between a man and a woman. They realize that their California Democratic Party is for same-sex marriage. Have they got the guts to stand up for marriage? Please telephone also!
Also, there are at least two documents that give the Catholic laity a duty to speak out in the public arena and we must. Firstly, the DECREE ON THE APOSTOLATE OF LAY PEOPLE: Vatican II, Apostolicam Actuositatem. 18 November, 1965, and secondly, FAITHFUL CATHOLIC CITIZENSHIP based on Pope John Paul II’s “Evangelium Vitae”, the Gospel of Life. #1 V.I.P. Anecdote from the Presidential Elections
# 1 V.I.P. Anecdote from the Presidential Elections
cinops be gone Monday, October 6, 2008
Preface: Epistle, Eph. 6:10-17
Put on the armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirit of wickedness in high places.
Sunday, Oct. 5th, Liturgy of the Hours, p. 343-4, The word of reproach is a key that unlocks a door, because reproach reveals a fault of which the evildoer is himself often unaware. That is why Paul says of the bishop: He must be able to encourage men in sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For the same reason God tells us through Malachi: The lips of the priest are to preserve knowledge, and men shall look to him for the law, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. Finally that is also the reason why the Lord warns us through Isaiah: Cry out and be not still; raise your voice in a trumpet call.
The whole idea of rewriting the definition of marriage is diabolical. Marriage is between a man and a woman. It is the foundation of any society. It is one of the five evils, I have written about in more than 470 letters. The other absolute evils are abortion, assisted-suicide, euthanasia and embryonic stem cell research.
There is something about a politician’s promotion of the above that screws up his mind politically. I am thinking of the Catholic label politician who is with a political party that promotes the above. It is not about the truth but twisted feelings and reasoning. LET’S STOP PRETENDING THAT A CINOP IS A CATHOLIC. We have been perfuming Catholic-in-name-only politicians long enough. The line must be drawn on the Marriage Issue.
Historically, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Think of the
Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, Jan. 23, 1973 on abortion. Had we prevented and fought it in Congress with new laws, we would have stopped the 50 million pounds of human blood sacrificed to the devil Satan?
The same can be said for proposition 8, the Marriage Amendment on the California ballot. It is in serious danger of not passing. If same-sex marriage becomes the law in California, it is not America anymore. It legalizes secular values that are anti-Christian and are not in the writings of our Founding Fathers.
Here is the problem. Same-sex marriage laws were passed by duped Catholic-in-name-only politicians in Canada and in Massachusetts where CINOPS Senators Kennedy and Kerry were silent on the matter of marriage.
Catholic bishops need to speak out and call upon all Catholic label politicians no matter what party to declare themselves publicly that they are for the marriage amendment. For example, in California the Democratic Party is for same-sex marriage. Their literature to the Democratic registered voters will say no to Proposition 8. Catholic registered Democrats will be influenced by this. People will begin voting by absentee ballots this coming week. PLEASE CRY OUT!
THE CINOP WITH ANY BACKBONE WILL SPEAK UP TODAY FOR MARRIAGE!
George H. Kubeck, E-mail to all U.S. bishops, churches and organizations.
