There is no difference! Here's why? We are in  a mindset of a civil war in our country both political and spiritual !

ABRAHAM LINCOLN HAS BEEN CALLED "THE THEOLOGIAN OF AMERICAN ANGUISH." AND SURELY NO ONE WRESTLED WITH THE SPIRITUAL ASPECTS OF THE DREADFUL CONFLICT MORE THAN HE - AS THIS PRIVATE MEDITATION, WRITTEN ON THIS DAY IN 1862, ATTESTS:

"THE WILL OF GOD PREVAILS. IN GREAT CONTESTS EACH PARTY CLAIMS TO ACT IN ACCORDANCE WILL THE WILL OF GOD. BOTH MAY BE, AND ONE MUST BE, WRONG. GOD CANNOT BE FOR AND AGAINST THE SAME THING AT THE SAME TIME. ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S STRUGGLE WITH THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION OF THE CONFLICT THAT WAS TEARING THE NATION ASUNDER HAD ASSUMED HERCULEAN PROPORTIONS. FROM HIS 1862, OCT. 1ST. MEDITATION:

"I AM ALMOST READY TO THIS IS PROBABLY TRUE THAT GOD WILLS THIS CONTEST, AND WILLS THAT IT SHALL NOT END YET. BY HIS MERE GREAT POWER ON THE MINDS OF THE NOW CONTESTANTS, HE COULD HAVE EITHER SAVED OR DESTROYED THE UNION WITHOUT A HUMAN CONTEST. YET THE CONTEST BEGAN. AND HAVING BEGUN. ON THIS DAY IN OCTOBER 21, 1804, AFTER THE FALL OF ATLANTA TO SHERMAN'S ARMY, ABRAHAM LINCOLN ISSUED A PROCLAMATION  FOR A SECOND ANNUAL day OF THANKSGIVING, ON THE LAST THURSDAY IN NOVEMBER:

"AND I DO FURTHER RECOMMEND TO MY FELLOW-CITIZENS AFORESAID, THAT ON THAT OCCASION THEY DO REVERENTLY HUMBLE THEMSELVES IN THE DUST, FROM THENCE OFFER UP PENITENT AND FERVENT PRAYERS AND SUPPLICATIONS TO THE GREAT "DISPOSER" OF EVENTS FOR A RETURN OF THE INESTIMABLE BLESSINGS OF PEACE, UNION, AND HARMONY THROUGHOUT THE LAND WHICH IT HAS PLEASED HIM TO ASSIGN AS A DWELLING - PLACE FOR OURSELVES AND FOR OUR POSTERITY THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS." Personal Commentary:

     I recall in the Spring of 1962, my brief time as a substitute elementary school teacher in Waltham, Mass. At the beginning of class we read from the Bible. Then the Supreme Court came down with its decision. This is contrary to the Constitution. Well it wasn't! "Judeo-Christian values are at the very root of America's democracy and success." All of the American Christian Churches blundered for not getting prayer back in the schools via a Constitutional  vote.                                                                                                                         

    Secondly, they blundered again in the Roe v.Wade decision of 1973. A decision made without human scientific facts.  When is the unborn baby a human person? Churches failed to reverse this decision.

   

     Thirdly, The New York Times newspaper is a Harlot. She prostitutes the Freedom of the Press in America. The New York Times is today for the Leftist Demo Party what Pravda (Truth) was to Stalin's Communist Party in Russia. Do we allow this subversive news media in our Democracy and Republic? I would like to see Founding Father and my favorite Alexander Hamilton wrestle with that decision. If we do not learn anything from the "Venona Secrets" we will repeat the mistakes, treason. Witness the mindset of  Google working with Communist China and not with America!
