Impeach U.S. AG Eric Holder

 Impeach U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder
In pursuit of the truth - http://www.cinopsbegoneblogspot.com - Tuesday, March 11, 2014

"Another member of the U.S. House of Representatives has thrown his support behind House Resolution 411, introducing Articles of impeachment against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

"Shortly after the Coalition of African American Pastors addressed the nation in favor of firing Attorney General, Rep. Tim Huelskamp himself as the 25th co-sponsor of the effort to impeach.

"In recent years, I have grown increasingly concerned by Holder's actions - and those of others in the Obama Administration - to disregard the laws and the Constitution they have sworn to defend," says Huelskamp. "The lawlessness at the Department of Justice - of this Administration - must end now. That is why I am announcing today my co-sponsorship of H.Res. 411." ...

"Black Pastors Say IMPEACH Eric Holder

"In front of the National Press Club in Washington, DC, a coalition of black pastors recently called on Congress to impeach the U.S. Attorney General.

"The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) said that Mr. Holder has violated his Office Oath by overriding the will and laws of several states regarding the institution of marriage.

"In a statement, CAAP said: 'Attorney General Holder in particular has used the influence of his office and role as the chief law enforcement figure in our nation to try to coerce states to fall in line with the same-sex "marriage" agenda. Millions of voters in thirty states have voted to defend marriage as the union of one man and one woman, But Attorney General Holder is attempting single-handedly to throw those votes away ... Attorney General Holder should be impeached by Congress."

"These pastors are right: Eric Holder has violated his oath of office ... many, many times. But unless Congress takes action and agrees to impeach him, the Attorney General is safe to continue to break the law!

"This is why we are urging you to stand up today and call on Congress to impeach, convict, and remove AG Eric Holder from office for committing "high crimes and misdemeanors." ...

"House Resolution 411: Sponsored by Rep. Pete Olson, H.R. 411 contains four articles of impeachment. charging Eric Holder for:
1. refusing to comply with a court order issued by the House Oversight Committee seeking documentation regarding the gun-running Operation Fast and Furious;
2. failing to enforce law such as the Defense of Marriage Act, the Controlled Substance Act, and the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 despite his official oath to  "faithfully discharge the duties of the office";
3. refusing to indict IRS workers associated with the unlawful disclosure of tax records and targeting individuals based upon their political views;
4. lying under oath before Congress on May 15, 2013 regarding the Justice Department's investigation of the press.

"Despite the House's decision in 2012 placing the Attorney General in contempt of Congress - an action never before taken against a sitting cabinet member in our history - Eric Holder continues to stonewall Congress and withhold the truth.

"As Resolution co-sponsor Rep. Ted Yoho says, Congress must take "drastic action" against the Attorney General: 'The Attorney General's blatant disregard for the law has brought us to this point. Officials should be held accountable to the citizens they serve and it is our duty to bring that accountability back to government. It is time we restore justice to the very department that shares its name.'

"With Eric Holder responsible for obstructing justice, aiding money laundering operations, and furnishing Mexican drug cartels with thousands of weapons -- sharing responsibility for the death of U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexicans - it's time for Congress to charge and convict him for crimes and remove him from office."
