MESSAGES FOR THE U.S. SECULAR
RELIGIONS
IN PURSUIT OF THE TRUTH - HTTP://WWW.CINOPSBEGONEBLOGSPOT.COM
- FRI. JUNE 23/17
PREFACE:
WE HAVE THE SECULAR RELIGION OF THE COMMUNISTS. FROM
A DRUDGE REPORT WE HAVE ABOUT FIVE THOUSAND AMERICAN COMMUNISTS. WE CALLED THEIR
SUPPORTERS "FELLOW TRAVELLERS" AND USEFUL IDIOTS. THEN WE HAVE THE
NATIONALSECULAR RELIGION OF THE AMERICAN PROGRESSIVES. NOTE ANY
PROMOTED NATIONAL RELIGION IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
OUR PAST AMERICAN LEADERSHIP PRIOR TO OUR FOUNDING
FATHERS AND AFTERWARDS HAD A MINDSET DIFFERENT FROM THE PROGRESSIVE THOUGHTS OF
TODAY. THEIR THOUGHTS HAVE A BREADTH OF FRESH AIR, AMERICAN AND NOT
EUROPEAN.
THE FOLLOWING ARE EXCERPTS FROM THE CALENDAR
BOOK: "THE GLORY OF AMERICA" FORWARD BY BILL BRIGHT WITH PETER MARSHAL AND DAVID
MANUEL. 1999.
JUNE 19 TH:
CHARLES HODGE, PROFESSOR AND THEOLOGIAN OF PRINCETON
SEMINARY, DIED ON THIS DAY IN 1878. TWO YEARS BEFORE, HE HAD DECLARED ABOUT
AMERICA:
"No man is molested for his religion or for his want
of religion. No man is required to profess any form of faith, or to join any
religious association. More than this cannot reasonably be demanded. More,
however, is demanded. The infidel demands the government should be
conducted on the principle that Christianity is false. The atheist
demands that it should be conducted on the assumption that there is no God ...
The sufficient answer to all this is: it cannot possibly be done."
Hall, Revolution. 156
JUNE 18 TH:
IN 1825, THE CORNERSTONE OF THE BUNKER HILL MONUMENT
WAS LAID FIFTY YEARS AFTER THAT BATTLE. 20,000 ATTENDED THE CEREMONIOUS IN
BOSTON, AMONG THEM THE MARQUIS DE LAFAYETTE, WHO ESCHEWED THE SHADE OF THE
PAVILION FOR DISTINGUISHED GUEST AND SAT IN THE OPEN WITH OTHER VETERANS OF THE
WAR FOR INDEPENDENCE. DECLARED THE GUEST SPEAKER, DANIEL WEBSTER:
"Let our object be, our country, our whole country,
and nothing but our country. And by the blessing of God, may that country itself
become a vast and splendid monument - not of oppression and terror, but of
Wisdom, of Peace, and of Liberty, upon which the world may gaze with admiration
forever!" Lewis, Daniel, 123
JUNE 16 TH:
AMONG AMERICA'S MOST FAMOUS SOLDIERS DURING THE WAR
FOR INDEPENDENCE WERE THE MINUTEMEN OF MASSACHUSETTS. CONCERNED THAT THEIR LIVES
REFLECT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES, THE STATE PROVINCIAL CONGRESS EXHORTED THEM WITH
THESE WORDS"
"Your are placed by Providence in the post of honor,
because it is the post of danger... The eyes not only of North America and the
whole British Empire, but all of Europe are upon you. Let us be, therefore,
altogether solicitous that no disorderly behavior, nothing unbecoming our
character as Americans, as citizens and Christians, be justly chargeable to us."
Hall, Constitution
JUNE 12 TH:
JOHN WINTHROP'S "MODEL OF CHRISTIAN CHARITY" WAS AS
IMPORTANT A DOCUMENT AS THE PILGRIMS' "MAYFLOWER COMPACT." AT ITS HEART WAS THIS
SUMMATION:
"Thus stands the cause between God and us: we are
entered into covenant with Him for this work. We have taken out a Commission:
the Lord hath given us leave to draw our own articles ... Now the only way to
avoid shipwreck and to provide for our posterity, is to follow the counsel of
Micah: to do justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with our God. For this end,
we must be knot together in this work as one man.... So shall we keep the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
George H. Kubeck
