    Harris voted twice against the Born Alive Abortion Survivors... She also opposes the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits direct federal funding of elective abortions, and she wants to "codify" Roe vs. Wade, the 19073 pro-abortion Supreme Court ruling that essentially imposed abortion on all states.

 

2. Harris used her office on behalf of Planned Parenthood. Most egregiously, during her 2016 run for Senate Harris's officer conducted a raid on the apartment of David Daleiden, the lead investigator for the Center for Medical Progress, which exposed Planned Parenthood's trafficking in aborted baby body parts... (HARRIS was very destructive to David Daleiden.)

 

3. Her pro-LGBTQ, anti-marriage, anti-democracy stance as state attorney general. In late 2010, Harris ran for California attorney general and won.... In 2013, she filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court, arguing that California's marriage amendment was unconstitutional...

 

4. Her Affair with Willie Brown:

    Brown was "kingmaker" who sat in the state assembly for 30 years, 15 as speaker, and distributed lucrative patronage appointments to political allies and his string of mistresses...In 1994, the same year Harris became his "steady." She was 29 and he was 60 and still married, although estranged from his wife, the mother of their three children... Brown took Harris to all the high-society events in San Francisco and gave her a new BMW.  Harris ... referred top her affair with the notorious womanizer as "an albatross hanging around my neck." (And possibly our country's neck. ghk)

 

5.Harris refused new DNA testing for man on death row who claims innocence. During the July Democratic nominee debates. Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard famously accused Harris of blocking "evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until courts forced to do so."

 

6. Harris never brought one priestly sexual abuse case to prosecution...

 

7. Harris claimed she didn't know of sexual harassment suit against longtime staffer. An alleged champion of the #MeToo cause, Harris claimed she had no knowledge of the situation when her longtime staffer Larry Wallace resigned in December 2018 over revelations that his executive assistant had sued him two years earlier for sexual harassment..

 

8. Harris jailed 1,560 people for pot-related offenses but now supports decriminalization.

 

9. Harris's 2010 San Francisco "police crime lab scandal." In Harris's last year as San Francisco district attorney, a state judge ruled that she and her staff failed to inform defense lawyers, as required by law, that evidence from a police-run city city lab "might have been tainted," the Washington Post reported Jan. 2019, adding that Harris said she took full responsibility and "made 'no excuses' for the failure." ...

    "Kenneth L. Woodward wrote in Making Saints (1990) that the Capuchin Order began informally to gather information in behalf of Pio almost as soon as he died, but then "something mysterious happened: someone in Rome, surely with the authority of Pope Paul VI, decreed that the local process on Padre Pio could not be opened."

 

    Whatever the cause for the delay, it ended in 1983. Some have speculated that Pope John Paul II, because of his personal devotion to Padre Pio, broke the impasse. What is certain is that the diocesan process for the cause of Padre Pio's canonization - supported by "postulatory letters" by eight cardinals, twenty-one archbishops, and seventy-two bishops - opened at San Giovanni Rotondo with a service attended by twenty thousand worshipers on March 20 of that year...

 

    The ecclesiastical tribunal interviewed 73 persons... in no less than one hundred eighty-two sessions. The historical commission amassed ten thousand pages - twenty volumes - of writings by and about Padre Pio, divided into twenty volumes.

 

    On January 21, 1990, thousands jammed into the friary church, at San Giovanni Rotondo to celebrate of the diocesan process... It took 7 years for the Congregation of the Causes of Saints to study the massive documentation. Then, on June 13,1997, the theologians of the congregation voted that Padre Pio had in fact practiced the theological and cardinal virtues to a heroic degree... A year later, on December 18, Pope John Paul II declared:

 

"I verify that the Servant of God Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, in the world Francesco Forgione, a professed priest of the Order of the Capuchin Friars, practiced to a heroic degree the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity, toward God and his neighbor; as well as the cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance and those virtues related, to the ends and effects that they regard."...

 

    And so, on December 21, 1998, three days after declaring that Padre Pio practiced the theological and cardinal virtues to a heroic degree, Pope John Paul declared,"I verify a miracle worked by God though the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Padre Pio of Pietrelcina ... namely the cure of Mrs. Onsiglia DeMartino, to be very rapid, complete, and lasting from the effusion of a liquid in the upper-clavicular region ... from a rupture of the thoracic duct."

 

    On May 2, 1999, the day of Padre Pio's beautification, more than 1,000 tour buses began to unload pilgrims at the crack of day near the Vatican. A massive crowd of more than 200,000 crowded St. Peter's Square for the three hour service, while another hundred thousand watched the proceedings on a giant television screen outside the Basilica of St. John Lateran in another part of Rome...from now on be called Blessed...

 

    After Mass, the pope gave a sermon... "Those who went to San Giovanni Rotondo to attend his Mass, to seek his counsel, or confess to him saw in him a living image of Christ suffering and risen. The face of Padre Pio reflected the light of the Resurrection. His body, marked by the 'stigmata,' showed forth the intimate bond between death and resurrection which characterizes the Paschal mystery... One additional miracle - occurring after the beatification - was necessary to clear the way to the ranks of the canonized saints for Padre Pio.

 

    On Dec. 20, 2001, Pope John Paul II announced the cure that qualified Padre Pio for sainthood: that of eight-year-old Matteo Pio Colello whose recover from meningitis, after state-of-the-art medical treatment proved unsuccessful was ruled

Providentially, Wed. Oct. 21st, on EWTN, TV  I viewed a 90 minute film titled, "The Divine Plan," 2019 by David Orlando. It was about Reagan and Pope John Paul ll.  It was historically excellent and inspirational. I remember Reagan as the great governor of California for 8 years. 1972-1980.           

 

    As a lifeguard, Reagan saved 77 persons from drowning. From 1947-1959, Reagan was Screen Actors Guild President. He had a hell of a time fighting off American Communists seeking to control the Guild. ( I am still waiting for a film from liberal Hollywood, about the jails and life in real Communist Cuba and Communist Vietnam.) In 1964, Reagan  changed from Democrat registration to Republican.                                                                                           

    As president, 1981-1989, Reagan took a moral aspect in dealing with Communist Russia. - Win the Cold War;  we win, they lose. Trust but verify. "Mr. Gorbachev, If you seek peace, open this gate and tear down this wall."  Reagan, along with Pope John Paul, did it in-spite of the advice of the U.S. State Department. On Dec. 8, 1987 The  IMF Treaty was signed, - Fall of Communism. This was a breadth of freedom and fresh air for the whole world. No more, will ordinary people be subject to this Marxist evil.

    Consider his selection of Kamala Harris, California's first-term senator, as his running mate. (If elected, Harris will be more likely, in actual terms, to inherit the presidency than any vice-president in history.) Her senate voting record in 2018 and 2019 compared favorably, in the scorecards of the liberal Americans for Democratic Action, to those of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

 

    During her own presidential campaign, launched in January 2019 and scuttled last December, Harris endorsed a "mandatory buyback program," i.e., confiscation, for privately owned firearms deemed "assault weapons." Her "Medicare for All" proposal promised to abolish private health insurance, shortly before it promised not to abolish private health insurance. Her climate proposal required that by 2045 nothing but zero-emission vehicles would use the country's thoroughfares, and she was for banning all "fracking" before she was against it.

 

    Harris, vowed to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funding of abortions, and criticized Biden, when they were opponents for his history of supporting it. After being attacked for this stance by Harris and others, Biden promptly repudiated a position he had held for 40 years.

 

    The choice of Harris is a strong indication about other choices Biden will make if elected. Personnel is policy, according to the folk wisdom of Washington. What is true of every administration would be doubly true of Biden's, given his age, signs of decline, and adulthood devoted to the calculated embrace of stronger people's convictions. As THE WALL STREET JOURNAL'S Joseph C. Sternberg argues, President Biden is likely to end up as Prime Minister Biden, the beleaguered supervisor of "jostling special interests," where it's "every man, woman and child for him-, her- or zerself

 

    New York magazine's Sarah Jones speaks for them when she says that Democrats' "leftward shift" is reflected in two convictions: climate change and social inequalities "require massive spending and activist government," and sincere commitment and compromise" with Republicans "useless and grotesque."....

    Mr.Siegel's third reason goes to the heart of his own political philosophy. He sees the president as a champion of "bourgeois values" under threat from the "clerisy."Mr. Siegel's word for the dominant elites who despise these values. Regards, Mr. Biden, as "captive" of this clerisy, and running mate Kamala Harris as the establishment of it. 

 

    "I don't want to see her as president," Mr. Siegel says of Sen. Harris. "I don't want a San Francisco Democrat who's likely to impose elements of the Green New Deal, which she sponsored but lied about sponsoring on television. If Biden wins, she will be president in short order. I don't know how long Biden will last."

 

    "In Mr. Siegel's view, "hard work, faith, family and autonomy," have enabled America to thrive, and Mr. Trump stands for these values, even if he doesn't always exemplify them. "The elite is largely detached from the middle class," Mr. Siegel says," The two major sources of wealth in the last 20 years have been finance and Silicon Valley. Neither of them has much connection to middle class America or Middle America." Mr. Trump is "in favor of manufacturing jobs, which are often middle-class." The president also recognizes the way in which China is a threat to the survival of middle-class life in America, directly and indirectly."

 

    Mr. Siegel takes heart from Mr. Trump's hostility to political correctness. Antifa Feminist running for mayor. I can now understand why years ago, they voted for Assisted-Suicide in Oregon by less than one percent. A couple of years ago, they did not allow a Republican Group to participate in a Civic parade. What a crazy city?

   

  "Six months of summer protests and violence in Portland, Oregon have turned what looked like an easy re-election for its Democratic mayor into a tight race with a challenger from the left who has never held office.

 

    Mayor Ted Wheeler has struggled for months to handle unrest that began to grow zoom after the May killing of George Floyd in police custody. Largely peaceful protests against racism and police violence during the day have been followed at night by property damage, fires and conflicts with law enforcement.

    Mr. Wheeler has been criticized by people on the left who say he gave police too free a hand, and by conservatives, including President Trump, who said he didn't do enough to stop criminal behavior. His opponent, Sarah Iannarone, is in the former camp. She has joined demonstrations while donning a gas mask and publicly declared "I am ANTIFA," referring to the loose affiliation of left-wing activists who confront those they consider racist, anti-Semitic or fascist.... the candidates themselves agree the Election Day contest has tightened significantly.

 

    "There are people on both sides of that coin who were very anxious, frustrated and angry about the handling of the protests," Mr. Wheeler said. "I think that more than anything else has caused my favor-ability ratings to collapse virtually overnight." 

     A poll last month found 63% of voters had an unfavorable view of Mr. Wheeler and 26% viewed him favorably. The survey, commissioned by a group supporting a ballot measure to create a new police oversight board, found 59% of Portlanders believe the city is moving in the wrong direction. 

 

    Ms. Iannarone is in a stronger financial position than the incumbent. She has raised $691,420 this year and has just over $250,000 on hand, according to campaign finance records. Mr. Wheeler has raised $467,826 this year including a $150,000 loan to himself, and has close to $130,000 on hand....

     If Mr. Wheeler had gotten 1,540 more votes in May's non-partisan primary, he wouldn't need to worry about his reelection. Since he fell short of a majority, with 49% of the votes cast, he is now in a runoff with Ms. Iannarone, an independent who received 24%.

 

    A college administrator who has never held elected office, Ms. Iannarone has a platform that includes a version of the Green New Deal for Portland and new housing policies to address affordability and homelessness. She has tried to pin the unrest gripping the city on Mr. Wheeler. 

    Mr. Wheeler has tried to address protester' concerns by approving a $15 million cut to the police budget and banning a type of tear gas used for crowd control. He has resisted calls for more sweeping measures. The Portland Police Association hasn't endorsed a candidate in this year's race. In 2019, Ms. Iannarone used the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day tweet. "To those who say Antifa are violent thugs: I am not a violent thug and I am Antifa."

    "What I have been trying to do is normalize that there are school teachers and nurses. staying at home moms, students who all stand unified and say, "'hate isn't welcomed here," she said.  Local businesses and civic groups , including the Portland Business Alliance and the NAACP, have largely lined up behind the incumbent.... Juan Chavez, project director for the Oregon Justice Resource Center, said he was supporting Ms. Iannarone....

1. October 10th:

    On this day in 1492, Christopher Columbus was at the edge of despair. They had been sailing west for 32 days -- and seen nothing. With the ship' crews on the verge of mutiny, the other two captains had extracted a promise from him: if they did not reach land in the next two days, they would turn back.

   

     Yet Columbus was convinced that God had called them to this mission and that He was with them. "I found our Lord well-disposed toward my heart's desire, and He gave me the spirit of intelligence for the task... Who doubts that this illumination was from the Holy Spirit? He, with marvelous rays of light, consoled me through the holy and sacred Scriptures... encouraging me to proceed."

 

2. October 11th:

      On this day in 1492, Christopher Columbus scanned the western horizon in vain. Until now, his faith in this voyage had never faltered, though kings and courtiers has scoffed, and wise men had called him a fool. Finally, Queen Isabella of Spain had caught his vision, and even the Pope had lauded his intent "to bear the light of Christ west to the heathen in undiscovered lands." In his journal, Columbus has written:

"It was the Lord who put into my mind --- I could feel His

hand upon - the fact that it would be possible to sail from

here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it

with laughter, ridiculing me."

3. October 12th:

    At 2 am on this day in 1492, the day on which they were to give up, the lookout aboard the Santa Maria cried out, "Tierra! Tierra!" An exhausted Columbus was barely able to make out the low silhouette in the darkness. Naming the island San Salvador (Holy Savior), he would write:

 

"I am a most unworthy sinner, but I have cried out to the Lord

for grace and mercy, and they have covered me completely. I have

found he sweetest consolation since I made it my whole purpose

to enjoy His marvelous presence ... No one should fear to under-

take any task in the name of our Savior, if it is just, and if the 

intention is purely for His holy service."

   Christopher Columbus was the greatest navigator of his age, uniquely gifted to fulfill his calling as Christ-bearer. He was called to bear the Light of Christ west to Cathay and the Indies. But he allowed himself to be diverted from his call by the temptation to rule over what he had discovered. His governing of the Caribbean was a disaster. Yet even there, he could hear the Lord:

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

1. The first one is for real, the second is a Catholic-in-name-only politician or person. (CINOP)

 

2. The standard we are going to use is the Equality Act HR. 5, passed by Congress on May 17, 2019 by Nancy Pelosi  House Speaker and 74 other Catholic-in-name-politicians. 42 Catholic Republicans voted No...  6 Catholic Republicans voted Yes.  (U.S. Catholic Bishops warned us about HR. 5.)

 

3. a) Taxpayer funding of abortions without restrictions and its promotions world-wide. Faith-based hospitals, doctors, nurses perform and assist in abortions or lose their license. 

    b) The Equality Act would classify churches as "public accommodations" (like hotels and restaurants), prohibiting them from denying services on account of sexual orientation..._

    c) De-certify  Catholic and Christian schools from satisfying state compulsory attendance laws if they refuse to adopt LGBTQ policies, treating religious schools as "hate groups" comparable to K.K.K.

    d) Forbid groups like the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Charities and Christian non-profits from receiving community block grants ... unless they accommodate the LGBTQ agenda including hiring...and requiring small business owned by Catholics to promote and affirm LGBTQ sexual behavior or face fines and/or loss of their business license.

    e) HR.5 fundamentally and radically alters the Civil Rights Law to forbid "discrimination" on the basis of "sexual orientation" and "gender identity," in the same way racial discrimination is prohibited.

    

 

3. A fervent Catholic accepts "The Catechism of the Catholic Church" and St. John Paul's encyclical, "The Gospel of Life." The practicing Catholic is the politician that  the Secular culture promotes with enthusiasm. (New York Times, Mainstream Media, Planned Parenthood, ACLU, NARAL etc.) 

 

4. The CINOP does not sincerely believe that abortion is intrinsically and absolutely evil. The same with Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide, Stem Cell Research and its use in Vaccines and Same-Sex Marriage. For them it's the equivalent of climate change, poverty or compulsory union laws.

 

6. What drives me up the wall is the CINOP'S use of the Catholic label when he runs for office. As a Democrat he believes in the Union Label when shopping. He destroys the Catholic label in office.

    I hate a raw deal. The New York Times is waging psychological warfare against the American people in this election system. They are to the Democratic Party what Pravda (truth) was to the Communist party in Communist Russia. 

    As a retired public school teacher, I will not accept the "1619 Project" of the New York Times. That project is a Marxist/Communist interpretation of U.S. History. It is an insult to Our Founding Fathers and a subversive attack on our Constitution.

    "Coming on the heels of bloody summer, much of it driven by racially charged rhetoric and behavior, the new school years has begun. But not without calls to address racism. Elementary and secondary students are being primed to learn about America's irredeemably racist past, present, and future. It is an insult to Our Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

     This vision of the Founding is now working its way into school curricula across the nation. It has been formally adopted in Chicago, D.C., Buffalo, Newark, Wilmington and Winston-Salem. Thousands of classrooms around the nation will implement this radical interpretation of American history.

The "1619 Project"is the work of Nikole Hannah-Jones. Her contribution is not the result of her training: She neither a historian or a professor. She is a journalist. And while she complains about systematic racism, Hannah-Jones, whose mother is white and father is black, insisted that no white people work with her on the Project. 

 

    Prominent historians of America's founding have panned her work. In a letter that these leading scholars signed, they charged the "1619 Project" with "a displacement of history understanding by ideology." Another winner of this prize, James Mcpherson, said that it "left most of the history out."

    

    Hillsdale College President Larry Arnn succinctly summed up the problem with Hannah-Jones' creative enterprise. The "1619 Project," he said, is "an ideological campaign to undermine Americans' attachment to our founding principles and to the Constitution by making slavery -- rather than the principles of liberty that ended slavery and preserved our liberties for nearly 250 years - the principle focus of American history."

 

    Students will be taught that Africans were forcibly taken from their homeland and brought to the New World as slaves. They will not be taught that slavery has existed in every part of the globe, and that Africans were bought by Europeans from their African Slave-masters; they were not captured. Nor will students learn that slavery was abolished in the United States in 1865, But it took until 1981 for Africa to make it until 1981. (It still exist in parts of Africa today.)

 

    No nation has made more progress in realizing equal opportunity than the United States. We recently twice elected a black president and have done more to end systematic racism than any other nation. One of the reasons why so many people want to come to our shores - often illegally - is because we are the envy of the world. It is our unparalleled freedom and prosperity that draws so many minorities to come here. But none of this will be taught to students subjected to the "1619 Project." ... "Any school that adopts '1619 Project as a model... has a moral obligation to inform students of the racist legacy of the New York Times." for example,

 

    In the hands of Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, and on a Red Cross tour of England during World War II, he expressed horror at the site of Blake American soldiers "fraternizing with white women. "Rape by Negroes is one degree worse by whites, and black illegitimate children just one degree more unfortunate than white one." That is what he told General Dwight Eisenhower. Arthur's workplace policies were also tinged with racism. A Newspaper Guild survey taken in the 1050s found that the 75,000 newsroom employees he commanded just 38 were black......George H. Kubeck

FOREIGN POLICY

    The candidates exhibit pronounced differences on foreign policy. President Trump has pursued what he called in the 2016 campaign an America First foreign policy. His successes in foreign policy have surprised many of his critics. His administration brokered historic agreements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain recognizing Israel: he negotiated a trade deal with China and negotiations are continuing; he imposed new sanctions on Iran and Russia.

      He took Iranian Terrorist General Qassem Soleimeni; he has scaled back troop deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan; pressured successfully for NATO countries to pay more of NATO ; and he has ordered the draw-down of 20,000 American troops stationed in Germany. He withdrew from the Parish climate agreement . He moved to withdraw U.S. funding from the World Health Organization (WHO) after it defended China's appalling handling of Covid-19.

 

    Biden promises to reverse some of these policies. If elected,he says he will recommit to the Paris climate agreement the day after his reelection. He will resume funding to WHO. He is committed to hosting a summit of world democracies to "put strengthening democracy back to the global stage." ...

HARRIS: THE WILD CARD

    Biden's selection of Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate presents a wild card in the race. Biden is 77 years old and shows his age in startling public comments. His campaign has considered largely by reading from a teleprompter in his home. If he wins, Biden will enter the White House as the oldest man ever to become president. Harris has the potential to become the most powerful vice-president ever. Both Biden and Harris have referred to the "Harris-Biden administration."

    Her campaign speeches bring a different tone to Biden's presentation of himself as a unifier. For example, in a speech at George Washington University on August 28, she stirred the pot: "We also see pain, hurt, and destruction in the aftermath of yet another Black man shot by police. Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back in broad daylight in front of his three young sons," Harris said. "People are rightfully angry and exhausted. And after the murders of Breonna and George Ahmaaud and so many others. It's no wonder people are taking to the streets, and I support them." While Harris distinguished violent looters and rioters from peaceful protesters, her speech emphasized anger.

 

    This guide to Trump's and Biden's stances on policy issues in fairness should include Harris support for Medicare for All, free health care for undocumented aliens, the Green New Deal  late-term abortions, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), defunding the police, and impeaching or criminally prosecuting President Trump, as well as her vociferous attacks on federal court nominees for their Catholic religious affiliation. ..

ABORTION AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

      The contrast between Biden and Trump on the abortion issue is exceptionally sharp. Biden, who calls himself a Catholic, has withdrawn his support for the 43-year old Hyde Amendment, which bans federal funding for most abortions. He explained that when he supported the Hyde Amendment in the past, there was enough private money funding abortion, but that is no longer the case. " I can't justify leaving millions of women without access to the care they need and the ability to exercise their constitutionally protected right," he said.

    Biden has not explicitly expressed support for or opposition to late-term abortions. His running mate Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party want to extend " reproductive rights" to include late-term abortion. Biden has promised that his administration will nominate judges on pro-choice views.

    President Trump has hit hard on pro-life issues. During the 2020 Republican National Convention, Trump observed that "Democratic leaders talk about moral decency, but they have no problem with stopping a baby's beating heart in the ninth month of pregnancy.... All children, born and unborn, have a God-given right to life." He placed pro-life issues and defense of religious freedom on his list of top priorities in his second term... he was the first sitting U.S. president to attend the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.

  In a letter to pro-life leaders on September 3, Trump committed to pushing for fully defunding Planned Parenthood and passing a "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protective Act" to ban late-term abortion. In a letter he promised to nominate constitutionalist judges..... George H. Kubeck

"THE DEVIL AND KARL MARX" PAUL KENGOR,  A REVIEW - THE CATHOLIC THING

        "Paul Kengor is a teacher and a writer who always had an eye for the spiritual dimension to history, politics, and economics....Prof. Kengor's new book, The Devil and Karl Marx Communism Long March of Death, is  a hammer and sickle dismantling of the diabolical character of Karl Marx (1818-1883) ... ultimately the fight comes down to spiritual warfare: good versus evil."

 

    Indeed, Kengor's new book is about the clash of the modern, devilish forces of socialism and communism - the key Marxist systems - against the eternally divine force of faith. The book opens with a portrait of Marx's formative early years, an approach similar to Paul Johnson' s in Intellectuals:From Marx and Tolstoy to Sartre and Chomsky (1988). John was accused of being moralistic for judging Marx's ideas through the lens of his character. 

     Of Marx's writings, Johnson says their "actual content can be related to four aspects of his character: his taste for violence,his appetite for power, his inability to handle money and, above all his tendency to exploit those around him."

 

    Professor Kengor goes even further, depicting Marx as possibly under the Devil's spell. "The young Marx wrote some very dark poems filled with the sort of anti-religious sentiments that would inspire his Communist Manifesto. "It is in part, a tragic portrait of a man," Kengor writes, "but still more broadly so, an ideology, a chilling retrospective on an unclean spirit that should have never been let out of its pit."

    Kengor (like Johnson) makes the case that Marx, a self-absorbed intellectual, never lived out his own  convictions when it came either to money or the redistribution thereof, evidenced by his dismissive attitude towards providing for those under his care. For instance, Marx exhausted the resources and goodwill of his parents, and instead of becoming remorseful or apologetic, he defiantly

disowned them once the were no longer of value to him.

     When it came to money, everything Marx touched turned to straw. His combustible life was filled with tragedy, debts, and, with the exception of the death of his wife Jenny, an apparent lack of regret in the face of his greatest losses. Family suicide, sexual exploits (including the possible abuse of a family maid) inflamed his life with bloody anger and fueled his revolutionary spirit. In this troubled background are the origins of his communist worldview - a complete rebellion against anything traditional or sacred.   ...

 

    Kengor ... highlights Pope John Paul II's success in his confrontation with Marxism and Communism. Having lived out his life in a communist regime, St. John Paul knew well Marxist ideas, which enabled him to deal effectively with the liberation theologians in South America.  ...

Marxists are employing identity politics, lately with some success. But the aim is the same to sow cultural destruction... 

     Marx believed religion was a drug (the opium of the people) used by wealthy to maintain disproportionate power. In retrospect, of course, communism peddles its own drug: an idealized global world, in which inequality disappears in the obliteration of all human distinction. Kengor sees the seeds of our current flirtation with Marxism in the promotion of sexual freedom, "that plagues us to this today."

 

    Scripture teaches that, after the Resurrection, Lucifer was left only with the power to accuse, with rhetoric his only weapon. This is why Satan and Marxists prey on the most vulnerable: those the least sure of their own identity. Satan comes as "an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:1), but he and his disciples, Marxist groups such as ANTIFA and the founders of the Black Lives Matter organizations, bring only darkness....                                                                                                                                        George H.
