4. And Castro weaponized the family ties between Cuban-Americans and their on-island relatives. Allowing Cuban-Americans to visit the island and send money to their suffering family members brought desperately needed dollars into Cuba.

" Many conservatives deny that systematic racism exists. They are wrong. Racism runs deep into our institutions, and it explains why African Americans are being held back. Does this mean that the left has the right analysis?  No, it means that they have correctly identified a serious problem. Where the Left errs is in its diagnosis? 

    Systematic racism is today is largely the result of "progressive" initiatives, politics and laws. In other words the left is responsible for the malady it purports to abhor. They are the new racists.

Dictionary.com defines racism as "a form of prejudice in which a person believes in the superiority of what they consider to be their own race over others." That is what the Klan has long believed, that is what the Left believes today, with one important difference: most of those who espouse this view are white they are not racists, white America is.

 

    The Left is twice wrong: a) white America, like every segment of the country is extraordinarily tolerant and fair-minded and b) this is not true of the new racists, namely those who are indicting America. Here is the evidence.

 

    To combat racism, Idaho passed a law in April that bans schools from teaching that "any sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin is inherently superior or inferior." Other States have since passed similar laws. Not long ago, if someone were to object to what this Idaho law says, that person would be branded a racist. Today those who object include the N.E.A. the nation largest teacher union, and virtually every politician, activist, and media outlet on the Left. It is they who have embrace the deeply racist agenda that marks Critical Race Theory.

 

    Critical race theory, which will be taught in the schools this fall, thanks to the N.E.A. holds that white people today  are inherently racist and are responsible for past racial injustices. even if there is zero evidence that most white people have never discriminated against a single African American, Being white is all that counts.

 

    According to this perspective, there are no individuals in White America- just clusters of white people. In other words, it is the immutable characteristic of race that determines who we are, not the biographical data that makes us all unique individuals. If this isn't racist, the term has no meaning.

 

    Critical race theory, however, is only one weapon in the arsenal of the new racists. Others simply resort to hate speech. Their hatred of America is palpable. Over the Fourth of July Weekend, one left-wing pundit and politician after another declared how racist America is. None was more forceful than Rep. Cory Bush, the newly elected black Democrat. from Missouri; she quickly joined the Squad this year, the anti-American contingent of House of Democrats, "Black People still aren't free," she exclaimed.

 

    To the extent that blacks are not free, is due almost exclusively to people like her.For example, blacks are the biggest victims of abortion and crime: she champions the former and wants to defund the police. She apparently does not care that innocent blacks pay the biggest price in both instances.

 

    Black are over represented in our armed forces and have served our nation with distinction; they have also used their service  as a lever to achieve middle-class status. She wants to de-fund the armed forces. Blacks strongly favor school choice but Bush who attended a Catholic High School, wants to deny poor blacks the right to go to a charter school, private or parochial school.

 

    What Bush is promoting is systematic racism - it is baked into her policy preferences. Moreover if she really believed that black lives matter, she would seek to curb the killings of innocent black lives in the womb and would go into the East St. Louis on a Saturday night demanding that blacks stop killing each other. Instead, she wants more funds for abortion and none for the police. Thus has she systematized racism.

 

    Nothing epitomizes systematic racism more than denying poor black people the right to compete equally with whites, Hispanics, and Asians in school. Bush, however, wants to make sure that her own people are locked into failed public schools, the kinds of schools her parents rejected when they enrolled her in a Catholic school. 

 

    The reality is that it is not white supremacists whom African Americans need to fear today - it is those who champion their cause. The new racist need to be outed, confronted and defeated. They are threat to the well being of African American and to the nation as a whole." Keep for reference!  ghk

The 4th of July commemorates the day that our Founding Fathers threw off the yolk of tyranny to accept the burden of freedom, which requires bloodshed to keep, and a moral and religious people to maintain. 

 

However, there is concerted effort to erase the Fourth of July as the founding date of our country. 

Today, Patriotic Americans must contend with a new founding date for America - August 20, 1619, the day when the first slave ship arrived on American's shores.

That date is the brainchild of pseudo-history professor Nikole Hannah-Jones*. It's a component of the 1619 Project, which aims to reframe the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery at the very center of our national founding. The alternative 1619 national founding is the product of a radical ideology attempting to rewrite our country's history. So, which it be? 1619, or 1776....

 

Let us remember the truth of that glorious day - July 4th, 1776. For the first time in world history, a group of colonials - The progeny of the pilgrims, seeking a land in which they could freely exercise their faith without threat of imprisonment or execution.

The offspring of explorers, gutsy enough to voyage across the merciless ocean to traverse an uncharted, unpredictable continent... the posterity of entrepreneurs, oppressed by the King and the landed aristocracy of Great Britain which kept them subjugated... Were, with the simple signing of the Declaration, breaking with their mother country....

CELEBRATING JULY FOURTH 2021

(A reminder to honor our country's Christian roots.)

                      (Excerpts from A Model of Christian Charity by John Winthrop;                                                         A Puritan Quest for free and God-fearing Christian Nation) 

    John Winthrop, a Puritan lawyer and leader, wrote his famous sermon, "A Model of Christian Charity", while on board the Arbella en route to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, where he became their first governor. It is believed that he spoke this sermon to his fellow passengers on June 11, 1630. As a new country was forming. Winthrop strove to keep our Lord at the forefront & in the hearts of new citizens.

His sermon emphasized the importance of the overriding "law" of love for one another.

    "This love among Christians is a real thing, not imaginary ... as absolutely necessary to the [well] being of the Body of Christ, as the sinews and other ligaments of a natural body are to the [well] being of that body .. We are a company, professing ourselves fellow members of Christ [and thus] we ought to account ourselves knit together by this bond of love."

 

    Many people feel Winthrop's sermon was as an important document as the Pilgrim's Mayflower Compact. At the heart of Winthrop's sermon is this summation:

    "Thus stands the cause between God and us: we are entered into a covenant with Him for this work. We have taken out a Commission: the Lord has given us leave to draw our own articles ... Now the only way to avoid shipwreck and to to provide for our posterity, is to follow the counsel of Micah: to do justly to love mercy, to walk humbly with our God. For this end, we must knit together in this work as one man ... So shall we keep unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

 

Winthrop concluded his landmark sermon with this encouragement:

    "We shall find that the God of Israel is among us, when ten of us shall be able to resist a thousand of our enemies when He shall make us a praise and glory, the men of succeeding plantations shall say, 'The Lord make it like that of New England.'

1. Heartbeat Bill. Signed into law May 19.

    Bans abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected unless there is a medical emergency. A fetal heartbeat can be detected as early as six weeks. One of the most innovative pro-life bills in decades, it is written to make it harder for abortion providers to sue the state to stop enforcement of the law.

2. Religious Freedom (1)

    Protects freedom of assembly and religious activities by preventing the future closure of churches through the exertion of emergency powers.

 

3. Religious Freedom (2)

    A companion bill that would amend the Texas Constitution to prohibit the state or a political subdivision from prohibiting or limiting a religious service conducted by a religious service organization.

4. Preserving the integrity of Female Sports

    Requires that those participating in UIL sports in Texas to compete according to the gender designation on their original birth certificate.

 

5. Ending Big Tech Censorship

    Seeks to end big Tech censorship and protect every Texan's right to free speech.

6. Election Integrity

    Brings specificity to gray areas in the voting process relative to voter registration, mail-in ballots, election security and enforcement.

 

7. Preborn Non-discrimination Act

    Key provisions include closing loopholes permitting abortions at or after 20 weeks on preborn children with a disability, and banning discriminatory abortions motivated by race, ethnicity, sex or disability.

8. Clean Slate Bill

    Seeks to remove barriers for individuals who committed a low-level crime to live a normal and successful life by automating the nondisclosure of criminal history after certain conditions are met.

 

9.Child Trauma Reduction Act

    Reduces trauma to children in foster care by clarifying procedures and grounds that are used to make life-altering decisions, specifically concerning the removal of children and termination of parental rights.

10. National Motto

      Requires public schools to post the national motto, "In God We Trust," with the American and Texas flags when the sign is dominated or purchased with private donation.

1. On behalf of pro-life and pro-family in California thank you for what you have accomplished in Texas. Is there any way you can help us in California?  Is there a guy similar to Texas Senator Brian Hughes you can send us. Our issues are so persuasive with common sense.

2. We must run pro-life Democrats in their districts. We must create a wedge. About 23% of Democrats are pro-life and family. With this divisive "Woke Agenda", nothing is impossible in California.

3. The Governor of Texas, Gregg Abbott is an authentic Catholic. Sadly, our Governor Devon Newsom and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are not.
