“God is the foundation of good government and national prosperity. Regardless of your religious belief or disbelief, any reasonable person must concede that America is broken. Violent crime plagues not only our inner cities but also our public schools. Even secular talk show hosts acknowledge that all is not well with America. Something must be done…

“In Chapter 28 of the book of Deuteronomy, God gives the children of Israel a choice. This is the chapter of the Blessings and the Curses. The choice is clear. The nation can choose to obey God and reap His blessings, or disobey God and incur the inevitable curses. There are two paths to choose. The first path is outlined in verses 1-14 and the second path is revealed in verses 15-68…

“The blessing portion in Deuteronomy 28 begins in verse 1. If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all of his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth… Verse 6 says, “You will blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.”… One of the blessings that flow from obeying God is abundant prosperity…

“However, Deuteronomy 28, verse 15, begins the curses. Verse 15 states that if you do not obey God all of the curses will hunt you down and devour you corporately and individually… In America today, we have cities which are bankrupt… In verse 18, Deuteronomy states that a disobedient nation will experience infertility in both animals and humans. Today, millions of children have been slaughtered by abortion. Thousands of women have become sterile.

“Chapter 28, verse 19, states that we will no longer have security if we reject God… Verse 20 states that we will experience confusion if we reject God… Verses 21, 27-28 and 60-61 paint a startling picture regarding incurable diseases. The Lord will plague you with diseases until He has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess… Today, we are clueless as to the cures for many diseases…

“A nation that rejects God will be a debtor nation… However, if we reject God and do not follow His commandments, then verses 15-68 describe our ultimate demise.”
