Excommunicate “New Ways Ministry”
The relentless pursuit of the truth - www.cinopsbegoneblogspot.com - Thurs. May 10, 2012
The following are excerpts from a LifeSiteNews article titled “Renegade Nun presents ‘A Catholic case for Same-Sex Marriage” by Ben Johnson, Wed. Feb. 15, 2012

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that homosexual activity constitutes “grave depravity … Under no circumstance can they be approved.” [This activity is contrary to Natural Law and should not be promoted and encouraged.]

On Valentine’s Day, a priest and a nun penned an op-ed in the Washington Post entitled, “A Catholic Case for Same-Sex Marriage.” Sister Jeannine Gramick and Francis DeBernardo of “New Ways Ministry in Mt. Rainier, Maryland, wrote, “ Many Catholics … understand that lesbian and gay love is a natural as heterosexual love.” [These Catholics have been misinformed by so-called Catholic homosexual agenda advocates and need to be exposed and censored by the bishops in their diocese. If they are unable to do that, the bishop should resign. This has now become a presidential election issue. Many Catholics are misinformed about the true nature of same-sex marriage.]

[We have the likes of Governors Jerry Brown in California, Andrew Cuomo in New York, Pat Quinn in Illinois, Martin O’Malley and Christine Gregoire acting against the strongly expressed opposition of their Catholic church’s bishops.]

Robert Morse, president and founder of The Ruth Institute, a project of the National Organization for Marriage. “There is nothing Catholic about what they’re Catholic about what they are saying at all.” [It is time to put an end to this farce and horrendous scandal within the Catholic Church. It is the reason why many Catholics are fundamentally confused and support same-sex marriage.]

“Sister Jeannine Gramick has been at odds with the Magisterium of the Church for decades,” Marcus Pilenger, Director of Policy Studies at the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, told LifeSiteNews.com. … Church teaching is not defined by polls, not by popular opinion, not by politicians, not by the ideological winds of ‘social justice,’ not even by Sister herself, but by what the Church, in fact, teaches.”

Dr. Morse, who testified in Olympia against Washington state’s same-sex marriage bill, said such a change would carry drastic consequences for the family and for society as a whole. “The natural reality of mother and father is being defined out of existence and being replaced with something that is a legal and social construct.” [What strikes me is the absolute arrogance of the secular humanist to change the meaning of the word marriage contrary to traditional American beliefs founded on our Founding Fathers & Constitution.]

Marriage, motherhood, and fatherhood “are natural realities … that predate any government,” Dr. Morse stated, “The Church stands for that natural reality against the State attempting to redefine if for its own purposes and for the benefits of a special interest group… All of this expansion of the State is being done to accommodate the growth of so-called sexual freedom.” [Abortion is to be an absolute right! So will be fornication, adultery and pornography. To Hades with this kind of hogwash!]
