Ref. the meditation for Sun. Sep. 13/15 - Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, "Co-Workers of the Truth":

   

 "In the Christian catalogue of virtues, despair - that is, the radical opposite of faith and hope - is listed as a sin against the Holy Spirit, because it fails to take into account his power to heal and to forgive and thus rejects redemption.

    Correspondingly, in the new religion, "pessimism" is the sin of all sins, for doubt with regard to optimism, progress, and utopia is a frontal attack on the spirit of the current age: a contesting of its fundamental credo, on which its certainty rests, although it is, nonetheless, constantly threatened in view of the weakness of talk about a "make-believe" God.

    All of this was brought to my mind again by the debate occasioned by the publication in 1985 of my "Report on the State of the Church" [published in English as the Ratzinger  Report. An Exclusive Interview on the State of the Church (San Francisco: Ignatius Press, 1985)].

    The indignation aroused by this simple book climaxed in the condemnation: a pessimistic book.

In many places, attempts were even made to prevent the sale of it because a heresy of such magnitude was just not to be tolerated.

    Those who subscribed to this public opinion put the book on the Index of Forbidden Books: the new Inquisition revealed its strength.  It was once again evident that there is no greater sin against the spirit of the age than to put oneself in a position where one can accused of a lack of optimism.

    The question was certainly not: "Is what has been said true or not true? Are the diagnosis right or wrong? I have been able to find no evidence that anyone took the trouble to investigate such outmoded questions. The criterion was very simple: "Is it or not optimistic?" And given this criterion the book was, of course condemned."

  WHAT DOES ALL OF THE ABOVE MEAN? IT MEANS THAT WE HAVE WITHIN THE U.S. CATHOLIC CHURCH, A LIBERAL  RELIGIOUS CORRECT POLICE. (LRCP). WITH THAT ONE MEDITATION AMONG THE 365 IN THE BOOK, THIS WHOLE BOOK BY POPE BENEDICT XVI IS ON THE INDEX OF FORBIDDEN BOOKS. WHAT ELSE IS ON THE INDEX OF FORBIDDEN BOOKS, THOUGHTS OR WRITTEN MATERIAL?  MAY I SUGGEST THE CATHOLIC-IN-NAME-ONLY POLITICIAN? (CINOP) -

    HAVE YOU HEARD OR READ ABOUT THE CINOP IN "AMERICA" OR "COMMONWEAL, OR ANY OTHER CATHOLIC NEWS SOURCE?  IT SEEMS THAT THE CINOP DOES NOT EXIST IN CATHOLIC AMERICA'S RELIGIOUS ARENA. THERE IS A PREMEDITATED AND DELIBERATE SILENCE AND IT IS DESTROYING THE INTEGRITY OF THE U.S. CATHOLIC CHURCH AND MISLEADING CATHOLIC VOTERS. MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF INFORMATION.

    IT IS THE CINOP IN AMERICA WHO HELPED INDOCTRINATE AND MISINFORM CATHOLIC VOTERS THAT MADE POSSIBLE THE ELECTION OF OBAMA AND NOW HIS ANTI-CHRISTIAN AGENDA. FOR EXAMPLE, VICE-PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN, GOVERNOR JERRY BROWN OR NANCY PELOSI ARE FOR ABORTION, SAME-SEX MARRIAGE, EUTHANASIA, STEM CELL RESEARCH AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD FUNDING. WHAT FOOLS CATHOLIC VOTERS HAVE BECOME! INFORM THE ELITE: STOP YOUR LOVE AFFAIR WITH OBAMA'S  DEMOCRATIC PARTY: MAYBE POPE FRANCIS WILL ENLIGHTEN US ON THE ABOVE TRAGEDY...

    BY THE WAY OBAMA'S SOCIAL JUSTICE AGENDA IS A FALSE AND DESTRUCTIVE ONE.
