  "One who preaches to the people the word of faith is not saying things that are likely to please them, but must expect to meet them with opposition. Jesus did not promise upholstered chairs of cabinet  posts, but only His baptism and His chalice. In saying that we have identified the two fundamental sacraments, Baptisms and Holy Eucharist, as the essence of His gift to humanity. But we have also made clear what it means to receive Baptism and Holy Eucharist:  Being ready to suffer for the truth and love.

     

     The pope knows this. That is why, in an address to the American Bishops, he alluded to the words of St. Paul: - "Brothers in Christ, When we preach the truth in love, we must expect to be criticized, for we cannot please everyone. But we must expect to be criticized, for we cannot please everyone, But we do, nevertheless, have a genuine contribution to make to the salvation of everyone.

     For that reason, we are humbly convinced that God is with us in our service to the truth and that he 'does not give us the spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and love and of self-discipline' (2-Tim :7). The spirit of cowardice - that is assuredly not a characteristic to John Paul II.

   

    That is why it had to be realized from the beginning [of his papacy] that one day sooner or later, he would have to face opposition. Significantly, that opposition was strongest when the Pope, in his talks to America, addressed the world that is typically Western - when he addressed our world, when he brought into it the salt of the Gospel, when he exposed our wounds to light of Christ's message and revealed them as wounds.

     In this criticism there are some elements that we might even find humorous.. In the so-called "position papers" with which we were bombarded before the papal election, we were told; above all, a Pope must be open to the world. And find it somewhat comical that the same people who are telling him now that he should not go so much into the world: above all, a Pope must be open to the world.

  And I find it somewhat comical that the same people are telling him now that he should not go so much into the world, but should spend more time at home and read. We were told: the Pope must be charismatic, not bureaucratic. And I find it amusing that it is precisely the individual who customarily speaks of the hierarchy as a "Church of wolves" who now reminds the Pope that the Church cannot be led by charism alone.

 

    But there are other, more serious, criticisms that must be taken more seriously. We are told, for example, that the Pope is a product of Conservative theology that is appropriate for a conservative country, but that he is obviously not familiar with the West and its quite different situation. [e.g. a catholic-in-name-politician is OK in the U.S.A., but would not be in Poland.]

    It is said, moreover, that, by reason of his pastoral role, he should not simply decree and decide; he should discuss and convince. But one who truly listens knows that this pope has not spent his life in a small and narrow world - not just because he has already traveled widely in the world, because he has always been surrounded by young people whose enthusiasms, problems, and questions about a world that is, in this sense, still undivided are everywhere the same, but also, more especially, because, as a man, he has himself known and endured all the depths of human life and its sufferings.

 

    In the realm of the human heart, he has discovered the world of the human being and has pondered and suffered anew. By reason of such journeyings, into the adventure of human existence, he can speak with intimate knowledge and can make the word faith perceptible again in all its permanence - the word that in that sense, is certainly conservative, for it protects the ground of human nature....

 

    One who listens carefully to the Pope's words, sees as well that they are not issued as commands, but bear within them the whole history of life that has been nourished by the centuries-long history of faith, and regards humanity anew from this perspective; that he looks at himself with self-criticism, whereas we usually turn away  and do not look at ourselves. "University of Toronto psychology professor and cultural commentator Jordan Peterson filed a $1.5 million suit this week against Wilfrid Laurier University, two Laurier professors, and the school's former gender and equity manager for defamation, the National Post reports.The suit stems from a meeting held to discipline former teaching assistant Lindsay Shepherd for playing a video clip of Peterson criticizing a law mandating recognition of gender-confused individuals' preferred pronouns. Faculty members accused her of threatening her students and compared Peterson to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

 

Shepherd had secretly recorded the audio of the meeting and subsequently released it, creating a media firestorm and forcing the university to issue public apologies, retrain certain personnel, update certain policies, and approve a new Statement on Freedom of Expression. Nevertheless, Shepherd is suing the university as well, for 3.6 million because the incident has allegedly left her "unemployable in Academia." Commenting on her suit, Peterson teased Wednesday that the school "had much more to learn before all this is over," apparently referring to his own lawsuit.

 

Peterson suit names the school, professors Rambukkana and Pimlot, and .... acting manager Adra Joel. It says they defamed him by describing him as racist, sexist, misogynistic, incompetent, and dangerous;  alleging that he helped target trans students; and claiming he doesn't have any credible professional research to his name. ...."Ironically, Peterson's academic credentials are dramatically superior to those of either Professors Rambukkana or Pimlott."....      The professor of psychology, who earned a Ph.D at Montreal's McGill University, has done post-doctoral research at Harvard University and taught at the University of Toronto since 1998. He says there is a cabal of university lecturers who are determined to undermine western civilization as we know it.

                     They regard our civilization as "corrupt, oppressive. and patriarchal."

   
 If you are a taxpayer or paying for your kid's liberal arts degree, you're underwriting this gang of nihilists," Peterson warned. You're supporting ideologues who claim that all truth is subjective, that all sex differences are socially constructed, and that western imperialism is the sole source of all Third World problems. "They're the post-modernists pushing progressive activism at a college near you."

     Peterson blamed academic ideologues for mobs that violently shut down campus speakers, language police who enforce new transgender pronouns, and campus administration who strive to root out discrimination "where little or none exists."

    The problem began in the 1960s and l970s when young radicals became the professors that teach today. Now students wrack up enormous student debt, not to become educated, but to become acolytes of their mentors. As Peterson observes, it is now possible to earn a degree in English Literature without reading the work "dead, white,male" William Shakespeare. "To understand and oppose the post-modernist, the ideas by which they orient themselves must be clearly identified," Peterson said.

   
First, they include an "unholy trinity" of buzzwords "diversity," equity," and "inclusion." Diversity does not apply to opinions, but to "ethnicity, race, and sexual identity." Equity is no longer about equal opportunity but about "equity of outcome." Inclusion involves the use of quota systems. "All the classic rights of the West are to be considered secondary to these new values," Peterson said. Freedom of speech is particularly despised.

  
  Second, the ideologues also oppose the free market. "They wont admit that capitalism has lifted up hundreds of millions of people, so they can for the first time in history afford food, shelter, and clothing, transportation, even entertainment and travel," stated Peterson....     "From the beginning of his seminary studies, Fra Pio heard voices and experienced visions. The modern reader, even the modern Christian reader, may tend to be somewhat skeptical about alleged visions and supernatural voices, preferring to pass over this aspect of Padre Pio's life. One cannot do this and still understand Pio, since his contact with the invisible world was an essential aspect of existence....

     Padre Pio had numerous bodily visions of celestial as well as infernal beings who were as vividly present to him as were his flesh-and-blood colleagues. As we will see, he claimed that he was actually beaten and bloodied by demons and that he actually kissed the hands of Christ....

 

    Then he speaks of the bodily, or "human," manifestations. He says that they are usually visions of the Lord in human form - at the Last Supper, in the Garden, bound to the column and being scourged. or glorious and resplendent in the Resurrection and the Ascension. There are also visions of the Virgin Mary and "other exalted heavenly beings." Although these were "in human form and appearance" and he could describe them more accurately than visions without from, he preferred to remain "in perfect reticence, because we do wrong when, in expressing ourselves, we see the great distance between the thing that is perceived within our consciousness and that which we are able to express in words."...

 

    "I come forth from them always more penetrated by a sense of my own unworthiness. In this light I realize that I am the most miserable of the creatures that have ever seen the light. The disciple makes a commitment of obedience to his spiritual director....

 

    "A spiritual director is supposed to be learned and holy, and Fra Pio's superior settled on a man who was considered to be one of the holiest and most learned in the province. He was a young professor of philosophy and physics, Padre Benedetto Nardella of St. Marco in Lamis. Fra Pio had studied under him from 1905 to 1906, and Benedetto had been very much impressed by the young man's spiritual precocity. He felt a great affinity with him because he, too, was a mystic and, at least to some extent, was favored by visions and locutions....

 

    When Padre Pio of Benevento died in 1908, Padre Benedetto was elected to replace him as minister provincial. Photographs revel Benedetto to have been an impressive-looking man of stout build whose regular features were almost obscured by a gigantic black beard and a profusion of black hair.... At times he seemed almost tyrannical, and was characterized by Pio as hardheaded. Nonetheless, Pio always held the man he called "Dear Daddy" in utmost reverence and respect. Daddy insisted that Pio describe in detail all of his mystical experiences.... Padre Benedetto warned that there was also the danger that such apparent revelations cam from  nature, from the devil, or from "the very propensity or fondness we have for believing what we consider to be revealed." ... Padre Pio was later to write that in his various spiritual trials he could find calm only in the counsels of Padre Benedetto.

 

    Around the same time, Fra Pio formed a deep and lasting relationship with another teacher, Padre Agostino of San Marco in Lamis, under whom he had first studied sacred theology at Serracapriola in 1907.... A- Lifesite - June 15, 2018 (American Life League) - (Judie Brown) - California Attorney General Becerra is Catholic-in-name-only (CINO) and totally pro-abortion. If you do not live in California, you might wonder why this should concern you, so let me tell you why.

 

1) First of all, Becerra has been the point man for the outrageous fight against national recognized, professional investigative reporter, David Daleiden, and the Center for Medical Practice, the group producing the video that shines a bright light on Planned Parenthood's evil baby-body-parts sales racket.

2) Becerra is an avid supporter of everything Planned Parenthood does. This is why he is suing the federal government over the Trump's administration's plan "to strip funding for Planned Parenthood and other clinics that provide abortions." ...

 

    The California Catholic bishops have not uttered a word about his pro-abortion position nor have they instructed him to never receive Communion until he repents of his sin of public support for abortion.... It makes you wonder why so few Catholic bishops or priests these days obey Catholic Canon Law 915 or is it meaningless to them? We know with certainty that Archbishop Joseph Naumann does but is he the only one these days.

 

    The entire situation is very sad. And in California it is even worse, given the fact that one of the most prominent CINO politicians in the state is leading the cheering section for more abortions and less honesty about what Planned Parenthood is up to! If Catholic bishops defended Christ in the Eucharist by obeying Canon Law 915, perhaps public figures like Beccera would not be getting away with supporting the killing of the preborn while claiming to be Catholic....

    Under the bill, a person, an organization, including a church who is paid for goods or services cannot engage in any practice-including pure speech-that tell someone that they can overcome unwanted same-sex attraction or gender identity confusion.

    Contrary to what opponents are claiming, AB 2943 bans the sale of books expressing Christian beliefs about sexual morality. It includes anyone who speaks or offers a book with regards to advertisement. Some examples of the books that would be banned under this legislation include:

"When Harry becomes Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement," "By God's Design: Overcoming Same Sex Attraction," and "The Complete Christian Guide to Understanding Homosexuality."

    Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) states, "At its core, AB 2943 outlaws speech, whether offered by a licensed counselor, or a best selling author, or even a minister or religious leader. It targets a specific message-that an adult who is experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction or gender identity confusion can find help to address those issues - for censorship. the breadth of this censorship is staggering.  ...      ON THE ABOVE MATTER, I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM THE BISHOP IN ORANGE COUNTY.

    In pursuit of the truth - What does that mean? It means that what is written is valid and true, if it is written in the spirit of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger's book, "Co-Workers of the Truth" Meditations For Every Day of the Year" Ignatius Press, San Francisco, 1992 - since 2005.

      The U.S. Conference of Bishops filed a friend of the court brief in favor of the union in the hotly debated Janus vs. American Federation of State and Municipal Employees, Council 31, case over mandatory union "agency fees" now before the Supreme Court. This was a mistake.

The Following are Excerpts of Letters Written Years Ago:

A. Industrial type unionism was never intended for public employees, least of all school teachers. Even Franklin Delano Roosevelt would turn over in his grave. I can understand that voluntary unionism is as American as apple pie. Forced unionism is not. Enter the Rodda Act of 1975. This collective bargaining law for union teachers was approved by the California legislature and signed by Governor Jerry Brown, and previously vetoed by Governor Reagan...

     What the Rodda Act does is a form of control - muzzling, cloning and politicizing the profession. All of this is done for the welfare of the teacher. Where is the student? .... When I retired in 1986, we did not have agency fees in Westminster, California. Also, my yearly pay raises were higher under the Winton Act than after unionism in 1976. (Memorial Day, 1999.)

B. The Rodda Act (S.B. 160) repeals the Winton Act as July 1, 1976. The new law calls for the selection of an exclusive bargaining agent. Under the Winton Act all qualified organizations have a voice in matters relating to working conditions.

    Individuals cannot represent themselves directly to the employer; under the Rodda Act after an exclusive agent has been recognized. (Art. 4, Sec. 3543). Under the Winton Act teachers retain the right to represent themselves individually.

    The Rodda Act includes a clause for "organizational security". Teachers can be required to pay agency fees as a condition of continued employment. The Winton Act allowed teachers to choose to join or not to join and did not legalize assessments or penalties....

    The Rodda Act seems appropriate for a totalitarian state and not for a democracy and republican form of government. What right do the Democratic and Republican legislators have to force a law upon professional teachers which will literally change the profession to a union teacher job?...(April 15,1976)

C.  I have sent the following letter to Governor Brown. One of the most destructive pieces of legislation encouraged and signed by you in 1975 was S.B. 160. This is a teacher collective bargaining bill dubbed the Rodda Act. This law is an assault on academic freedom, professional teacher integrity and quality education. Your signed law replace the respected Winton Act on July 1, 1976. This same day the Los Angeles Grand Jury recommended the repeal of S.B. 160. The Rodda Act continues to be challenged in the courts on twenty-one constitutional violations.... (Labor Day, Sept. 6, 1976)

    Common sense and principle seem to be lacking in your decision. The best interests of the people of California have been injured by your political ambitions in this decision. I urge you to repeal SB. 160. I don't want  to become a molded and programmed union organization first educator. I will fight to remain free and independent-minded professional teacher.... The principles of freedom and cooperation, not collectivism and coercion, are our heritage and legacy for future generations. Instead you and others have played politics with the education of children. This is criminal....

IN WESTMINSTER, CALIFORNIA FOR 23 YEARS. (1963-1986) I WAS A HAPPY VOLUNTARY  MEMBER OF THE NEA (NATIONAL), CTA (STATE), AND WTA (WESTMINSTER) FOR 5 YEARS. (1963-1968)

    THEN THE NEA AND CTA CHANGED ITS PHILOSOPHY FROM PROFESSIONAL(OPPOSED TO UNIONISM) TO UNION. MAINLY DUE TO THE COMPETITION THEY GOT FROM THE NEW YORK TEACHER UNIONS. YOU MUST NOW JOIN ALL OF THE THREE ORGANIZATIONS OR NONE AT ALL. THEY MAY HAVE GOTTEN THAT KIND OF ADVICE FROM THE NOTORIOUS SAUL ALINSKY. 

    IN MY NEXT LETTER I WILL TALK ABOUT THE DEAN OF STATE SENATORS IN CALIFORNIA, ALBERT RODDA WHO WROTE THE DESTRUCTIVE UNION BILL FOR CALIFORNIA IN 1975, THE RODDA ACT 160 EFFECTIVE IN 1976. DEMOCRAT ALBERT RODDA ADVISED HIS COLLEAGUES THAT:

"LEGISLATURES SHALL MAKE THE PUBLIC INTEREST THEIR FIRST AND PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE - EXCEPT THAT LEGISLATORS SHALL RESPOND TO THE SPECIAL AND SELFISH INTERESTS OF THEIR OWN CONSTITUENTS, AND THIS SHALL HAVE A HIGHER PRIORITY."                                                      

THIS RESULTED IN CHANGING THE NATURE OF THE TEACHING PROFESSION, POLITICIZING THE PROFESSION  AND SETTING ASIDE ITS INTEGRITY AND INDEPENDENCE.

    This is the fifth in a series of excerpts from the book by George Neumayr titled, "The Political Pope."

"Pope Francis during his tenure as archbishop of Buenos Aires, had endorsed legislation in favor of gay civil unions, an unprecedented stance for a Catholic cardinal to take during the Benedict era....

     In 2013, he shocked the faithful by telling a group of priests and nuns from the Caribbean and Latin America, who were visiting Rome in June of that year, to follow his rebellious example and disregard corrections from the Church's doctrinal office... (Now for "The Celebrity Left's Pope")

     Actress Jane Fonda could not contain her excitement either, tweeting out to her followers: "Gottsa love new Pope. He cares about the poor, hates dogma." Actress Salma Hayek  a supporter of abortion rights and gay marriage, asserted, "Pope Francis is the best pope that has ever existed."  Fonda' ex-husband, the late Tom Hayden, spoke for fellow 1960's radicals when he called the election of Pope Francis "the greatest moment in empowering spiritual progressives in decades." "Francis is on the side of liberation theology, working from within, towards his moment," he wrote" "His choice is more miraculous, if you will, than the rise of Barack Obama in 2008." ....  24-33

    Pope Francis peppered his first papal exhortation, Evangeli Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel), with familiar left-wing cliches about the need "to change the world" and "to leave this earth somehow better than we found it" while denouncing "trickle-down theories " of economics.  He encouraged priests to operate like political activists in order to protect this "magnificent planet," and he cast the Church as a partner to the United Nations. Throughout the document, he argued that a Church unwilling to engage in the left-wing politics stands on the "sidelines in the fight for justice."...

    The Church is too "obsessed" with the issues of abortion, contraception, and gay marriage. the Pope Francis declared in a bombshell interview in the fall of 2013. For liberals who view the Church as the chief impediment to the spread of the sexual revolution, these words were revolutionary.... The interview appeared in the pages of several left-wing Jesuit publications, one of which was "America" a magazine known in Catholic circles for its opposition to the Church's traditional moral teachings. ... Pope Francis assured his fellow liberal Jesuits that he is a liberal as any of them. "I have never been a right-winger," he said.... He would later make the random claim that the most important moral issues facing the world today are youth unemployment and the neglect of the elderly...

    "Although he has shown no intention of retracting the Church's opposition to abortion, he has alarmed conservatives by taking a less forceful tone than his predecessors," reported Reuters. Against an "obsessed"Church, Pope Francis presented himself as a font of understanding. Indeed, nothing pleased liberals more than what has become the signature phrase of his papacy: "Who am I to judge?"

     "He did more with those five words than the last five popes," bubbled the pop singer Elton John, "He is my hero." The inane line came in response to a question during a press briefing on Pope Francis's trip back from Brazil in July 2013, Francis had been asked about the presence of gay priests in the Church. He brushed the issue off, saying breezily, "Who am I to judge them if they are seeking the Lord in good faith?".... He effectively gave the green light for homosexual men to enter the priesthood,"complained Fr. Michael Orsi, a research fellow at Ave Maria Law School.

    Conservative Catholics had hoped that Pope Francis would disband the long-discussed mafia inside the Church. But the Ricca scandal erased that hope. ... One member of the Swiss Guard was quoted in the European press in 2014 saying that Vatican officials had solicited him for sex more than 20 times....

The homosexual magazine the Advocate, out of gratitude for his subversion of Church teaching, declared Pope Francis in December 13 its "Person of the Year." It thanked him for signaling a lack of seriousness about the Church's stance on homosexuality and drew hope from his earlier support for gay civil unions as archbishop of Buenos Aires... 

     Former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan, "The Church of Pius XXII and John Paul II taught that the truths of the Ten Commandments brought down from Sinai and the truths of the Sermon on the Mount are eternal. Those popes also taught that a valid marriage is indissoluble, that homosexuality is unnatural and immoral, that abortion is the killing of the innocent unborn, an abomination. Yet one reads regularly of discussions inside the Vatican to alter what is infallible church teaching on these doctrines to make the church more appealing to those who have rejected them." PADRE PIO, - THE TRUE STORY - BY C. BERNARD RUFFIN

Chapter 3, 'An Example To All' p. 52-58

    "Another religious who knew Padre Pio as a novice recalled that when Padre Pio prayed, "He would weep many tears, so that very often the floor would be stained."

    Fra Pio appreciated the need for mortifying the flesh. A few years later, writing to a "spiritual daughter,"quoting Galatians 5:24, in which St. Paul declares. "Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires,"he wrote: "From this it is apparent that anyone who wants to be a true Christian... must fortify His entire body on the cross. The mortification must be constant and steady, not intermittent, and it must last for one's whole life...." In later years he would modify his position somewhat, at least to the extent that he became aware that few people were capable of the degree of ascetical rigor that he imposed on himself....

  Extreme severity of this sort is a thing of the past. Moreover, If half of the stories told about him are true, Padre Tommaso had to be excessive even for his time and place. Most modern Capuchins, however suggest that not everything about modern traditional community was bad. After all, at least one very positive thing can be said for the old ways: they produced Padre Pio....

    Finally on January 22, 1904, Fra Pio went to the altar and knelt before the minister provincial, Pio of Benevento. He folded his hands between those of the older men and declared, "I, Fra Pio of Pieltrecina, vow and promise to the omnipotent God, to the Blessed Virgin Mary, to St. Francis, and to all the saints, and to you, Father to observe for three years the Rule of the Friars Minor, confirmed by Pope Honorius, living in obedience, without property, and in chastity." Pio of Benevento answered" "And I on the part of God, if you observe these things, promise you eternal life."...

    Although knowledge of the Sacred Scripture was stressed somewhat less in Roman Catholic than in Protestant Seminaries, it was still considered essential. The numerous letters Padre Pio wrote over the years to his spiritual directors and spiritual children made it clear that he had virtually memorized the entire Bible - though he never quotes chapter and verse, and sometimes he gets his quotations slightly inaccurate as if the passages were flowing "off the top of his head." His letters are simply series of Bible quotation or paraphrases.... A statement from Scripture was for him"as sure and infallible argument."

    Long before Vatican II, Padre Pio insisted that his disciples study Scripture. "As regards your reading matter ," he wrote there is little contemporary literature that is admirable and nearly nothing that is edifying. It is absolutely necessary for you to add to such reading that of the Scriptures, so recommended by all the Fathers of the Church... On almost equal plane with Scripture was tradition.... In Fra Pio's early years, the popes and the bishops, who proclaimed the official interpretation of Scripture, virtually to a man, held what would today be considered a fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible...

    Besides the Scriptures and the early Church Fathers, Fra Pio studied thoroughly the teachings of Dominican St. Thomas Aquinas and the Franciscan St. Bonaventure,whose writings centered on an inner spirit of prayer and devotion, and whom Pope Leo XIII described as "the prince par excellence, who leads us by the hand of God." He was most deeply influenced by the two Spanish Carmelite mystical theologians, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. John of the Cross. Their teachings about prayer, contemplation, self-detachment, & the inner life embodied the spirit of the Capuchin Order at that time.

    Through his reading of St. Teresa and St. John of the Cross, Fra Pio was reinforced in two principles: total commitment and the embrace of suffering. So total must a Christian's commitment be to God that he that he should be able cheerfully to renounce everything else in life, even innocent pleasures; identification with Christ means identification with his cross. Suffering, when joined with Christ's, is beneficial. Indeed St. Paul writes, "Now, I rejoice in my suffering for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the  sake of his body, that is, the Church..." Col. 1:24) 

    St. John of the Cross tells us to "strive always to choose, not that which is easiest, but that which is most difficult; not what is most delightful, but what is most unpleasing; not what gives the most pleasure, but what gives no pleasure." p.58 - George H. Kubeck

I AM TALKING ABOUT THIS PLACE THAT I RESIDE FOR ALMOST THREE YEARS. IT IS CALLED ROWNTREE GARDENS IN STANTON, CALIFORNIA.

THIS IS THE PLACE WHERE I WOULD BE WITH MY FIRST WIFE, PEGGY OR MY SECOND WIFE, MICHAELENE IF THEY WOULD BE ALIVE TODAY.                                                                                         

THE OTHER DAY I RECEIVED AN E-MAIL FROM FRIENDS; HOW ARE THINGS GOING? THERE IS SO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS. WE HAVE NO MORE FOOD SHOPPING, COOKING AND CLEANING HOUSE, PORCH AND YARD. I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE MAIL. DAILY, THERE IS TOO MUCH OF IT.

THIS YEAR LIKE LAST YEAR WE ARE SUPPORTING  ABOUT 60 ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING CHURCHES WHO ARE IN ACCORD WITH OUR VALUES IN THE U.S.A. EACH RECEIVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY. THEY ARE SENDING ME LETTERS EACH WEEK TO ASK FOR MORE. I NEED TO INFORM THEM TO TAKE ME OFF THE MAILING LIST UNTIL NEXT YEAR.

THIS YEAR THERE IS VOTING AT THE LOCATION I LIVE IN. I STILL HAVE TO WORK ON MY ABSENTEE BALLOT FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 5TH.

DEFINITELY, WITHOUT A CAR, THINGS WOULD NOT BE THAT GREAT. I COULD FROM MY $725.OO YEARLY CAR INSURANCE, WE COULD UBER. THERE IS THE MONTHLY SECOND WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH, KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS MEETING AT ST. IRENEAUS CHURCH. AND THE DOMINICAN LAITY OF ORANGE COUNTY MEETING ON THE LAST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT ST. MARY'S CHURCH IN FULLERTON. (6:15-8:15) MICHAELENE AND I WERE CO-FOUNDERS OF THIS GROUP. THIS YEAR, I WILL BE GOING ON A DOMINICAN RELIGIOUS RETREAT ON OCT. 12,13,14.

THE MONTH OF MAY WAS A GREAT MONTH. THREE OF OUR NINE GRANDCHILDREN GRADUATED FROM SCHOOL. ONE FROM LONG BEACH STATE UNIVERSITY - NURSING - KATRINA BESSEM, THE SECOND FROM MATER DEI HIGH SCHOOL, DANIEL,THE THIRD FROM PASADENA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, CHARLOTTE PEARSON, FROM THE EIGHT GRADE. I DEFINITELY PUT ON A COUPLE OF POUNDS CELEBRATING THE ABOVE EVENTS. (DANIEL KUBECK)

ON JANUARY 2ND, I HAD A SERIOUS OPERATION CALLED "LAPAROSCOPIC ASSISTED RIGHT COLECTOMY, 2 HOURS - 8 -10 AM. THE GOOD NEWS, FROM A BLOOD TEST TWO WEEKS THEY MARKED IN NOT ANEMIC. SPENT THE WHOLE MONTH IN THE HOSPITAL ON AND OFF. READ NO NEWSPAPERS, TV OR RADIO. TURNED A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE BY READING "PADRE PIO - THE TRUE STORY- BY C. BERNARD RUFFIN, - 1991, OUR SUNDAY VISITOR INC.                                                 

AND GEORGE NEUMAYR, THE POLITICAL POPE, 2017, CENTER STREET, NEW YORK, NASHVILLE. I AM DOING A BOOK REPORT ON EACH. HAVE DONE 11 OF 25 ON THE FIRST AND 5 OF 12 ON THE SECOND. WILL BE FINISHED BY THE END OF THE YEAR. PADRE PIO IS A MOST IMPORTANT CONTEMPORARY SAINT. HE DIED IN OUR LIFETIME IN 1968.
