FALSE IDEAS HAVE CONSEQUENCES

In the Westminster Herald, California dated Nov. 13, 2008, Phyllis Schlafly has a poignant article on “Teaching ‘Social Justice” in Schools.”
But this is a different kind of social justice that regular American folks think of. This social justice is the creation of Bill Ayers the radical of the 1960’s who is now a professor of education at the University of Illinois. And why is he an insult to the profession I was in for 23 years? Ayers is a C.A.T. (An unrepentant Communist, Anarchist and Terrorist.)
During the Cold War with Communist Russia, we had these types within the American academia figuring how to undermine America with multiculturalism, etc., so that international communism can win.
Well, Ayers’ social justice teaching is defined in Education Week as “teaching kids to question whoever happens to hold the reigns of power at a particular moment. It’s about seeing yourself not just as a consumer (of information) but as an actor-critic” in the world around you…
“Social Justice” lessons highlight past mistakes in U.S. history rather than our accomplishments and opportunities. Emphasizing problems and injustices rather than achievements is given the highfalutin label “critical pedagogy. …
WHAT OTHER NATION IN THE WORLD HAS THIS KIND OF THEIR OWN HISTORY HOGWASH?
DAVID HOROWITZ OF THE CALIFORNIA-BASED DAVID HOROWITZ FREEDOM CENTER SAYS THAT SOCIAL-JUSTICE TEACHING IS “SHORTHAND FOR OPPOSITION TO AMERICAN TRADITIONS OF INDIVIDUALS JUSTICE AND FREE MARKET ECONOMICS.”
HE SAYS IT TEACHES STUDENTS THAT “AMERICAN SOCIETY IS AN INHERENTLY ‘OPPRESSIVE SOCIETY’ THAT IS ‘SYSTEMATICALLY’ RACIST, ‘SEXIST’ AND ‘CLASSIST’ AND THUS DISCRIMINATES INSTITUTIONALLY AGAINST WOMEN, NONWHITES, WORKING AMERICANS AND THE POOR.”
So if you want to know what President-elect Obama thinks of social justice, freedom and our free enterprise system reread the above. Obama was influenced by the people around him. When you think of Obama, just think of him as the product of Chicago politics and corruption.
++++++++
By the way, while we are on the subject of Chicago politics and corruption; why do you think President Nixon said to his national security adviser Henry Kissinger, ”Never forget … The press is the enemy. The establishment is the enemy. Professors are the enemy…. Write that on a black-board 100 times and never forget it.” For your homework check out the presidential election returns of 1960 for Illinois and the Chicago area. The so-called Catholic-label Richard Daleys are masters at voting fraud. That’s where A.C.O.R.N. learned how to do it! (Nixon Library Research Room, 18001 Yorba Linda Ave. Y.L.
