A Two-Edged Sword Hangs Over California

A Two-Edged Sword Hangs over California
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Saturday, October 30, 2010

Refer also to “Texans are Smarter than Californians”, Fri. July 10, 2009 on the blog:

One sword is economic ignorance and the other is intellectual and moral corruption. Sadly, we have a mostly uniformed electorate voting on Tuesday. But miracles do happen. Most of our MSM – Main Stream Media is brain dead. It is corrupt left-agenda driven with honest journalism dead.

There is a glimmer of hope if voters can understand the following excerpts in the message from the editorial of the Orange County Register, California can ‘t touch Texas , Wed., Oct. 27th, 2010

“A study two years ago found that California substantially lagged behind Texas economically, based on the two states taxes, regulatory policies and government spending. That study performed by the Texas Public Policy Foundation, recently was updated. Not only does California continue to lag but, by comparison, it “has become even less competitive than before,” the newer study concludes…

“It is little wonder that the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports Texas created 119,000 new jobs from August 2009 to August 2010, more than half those created nationwide, while California lost 112,000 during the same period. If Californians still have trouble understanding why so many of our former neighbors have gone to Texas, this scorecard spells out in painful detail, said Sally C. Pipes, president of Pacific Research Institute, a free-market, nonprofit think tank based in San Francisco. We agree with Ms. Pipes, who concludes that, “we must dramatically overhaul our tax and regulatory policies if the Golden State is ever to regain its former luster.”

Is there anyone who believes that the above can be done by electing Attorney General Jerry Brown as Governor of California? He is totally unqualified in the economics of creating jobs and having businesses locating in California. My personal experience with him as Governor was when he signed the Rodda law S.B. 160 in 1975-6. This law destroyed the integrity and independence of my 23-year public school teacher profession. It politicized the teachers and enacted industrial type unionism. This has no place in the public sector. Should you vote for Jerry Brown, California will become to the rest of the nation what Greece is to the European countries? “I will vote for Meg Whitman.”

It is spending and liberal progressive democratic economics that has bankrupted California. And that’s it! The unemployment in California is much more than 12%. What is it among our black and Hispanic citizens? I have never heard the Main Stream Media inform us! Shame on them!

Concerning the moral and intellectual side of the sword, the California Democratic Party must realize that we are a pro-life center right nation. For them to hold on to the promotion of abortion on demand, same-sex marriage and embryonic stem-cell research etc. is suicidal. And for this fake Catholic-label Adolf-faced Jerry Brown to be their leader is a scandal and atrocious insult to the integrity of Catholic religious beliefs in California and throughout the nation.

Finally, concerning the re-election of Barbara Boxer, it will depend on how many so-called Catholic voters she will again dupe. In 2004, she was reelected with the Catholic vote. Do you remember she was the staunch leader of the FOCA BILL in the Senate? “I will vote Carly Fiorina!” George H. Kubeck
