California ‘Cap and Trade’ Facts: Campaign for California Environmental Truth

1.)We have mounted an aggressive campaign to inform you about a California law, Cap and Trade, and the disastrous impact it will have on our state. All the rules and regulations associated with this law will do tremendous harm to an already faltering state-wide economy.

2.)The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 was signed into law as Assembly Bill 32 (AB 32). It a blue print from the United Nations 1997 Kyoto Accord. 3.)By law, the California Air Resources Board, CARB, is directed to implement the Cap and Trade program. CARB’s chairman, Mary Nichols, and eleven board members are appointed by the Governor and operate outside any Legislative oversight.

4.)For six years, CARB has been holding hearings statewide and developing strict carbon emission standards, under their guidelines, for all California businesses, vehicles and homes. These pollution Caps are in effect as of 1-2012.

5.)Pollution is now a commodity (like gas, wheat, corn). The first California auction for carbon credits (Trade) will be held August 15, 2012.

6.)Global Warming, as a scientific theory, has been discredited by over 30,000 scientists worldwide including nearly 10,000 PhD’s who also dispute man-made pollution is the cause of “greenhouse gases”. The concept that Carbon Dioxide or Methane gases are pollutants is also widely debated. There is no scientific consensus authenticating the belief.

7.)CO-2 is produced by humans when they exhale. Although methane gas is produced naturally by cows and other farm animals. California cattle and dairy farmers are being taxed on those emissions from their herds.

8.)This is not the time to invest precious tax dollars into a program attempting to solve a problem, “Global Warming”, is not proven to exist.

9.)A “California Cap and Trade” program will have little impact on the Earth’s atmosphere. But, it is already proving poisonous to the California economy.

10.)Severe over regulations will cause California electric rates to “necessarily skyrocket”, gasoline prices at the pump to double and diesel trucks delivering goods incur faced with increased fees to implement these strict laws passing the added costs onto the consumer.

ACTION: Help stop this economy crushing program. Share with everyone personally, by social media, contact newspapers, radio programs, and legislators. Do not be fooled with campaigns waged through the mainstream media by active globalists. “SCAT” –
