Unbelievable - Obama's Vetting Process

Unbelievable – Obama’s Vetting Process
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – Monday, February 9, 2009

This story is unbelievable. Obama picks porn Lawyer for # 2 at Justice Department. Even during the Clinton administration which I covered with letters of analysis and criticism, Bill Clinton was never that foolish. On the witness stand, we have this ACLU character David Ogden comes up with a conversion. Let’s start with Tony Perkins - Washington Update, Feb. 3, 2009. “Ogden Gnashing”

President is on this 15th day in office and his fourth nomination controversy. While the nation is distracted by a trio of tax scandals, other-profile candidates are squeaking by unnoticed.

One nominee at the Justice Department, David Ogden, nominee for Deputy Attorney General, stands out. Our research uncovered a lot of troubling details about Ogden – not the least of which is his long history of extreme anti-family views. On the issue of life, he has fought for taxpayer funding of abortion, for jailing peaceful protestors, against notifying parents whose minor children are seeking abortions, and against informing women of the emotional risks of abortion.

He’s been an outstanding proponent of special rights for homosexuals, the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” and unfettered access to pornography – even in public libraries.

President Obama is considering Ogden for a top post in an agency created to enforce the same laws that he built a profitable career opposing.... Please contact your senators today to oppose his confirmation. To read more on Mr. Ogden’s dangerous positions: visit Change Watch at www.frclog.com.

Now for the story: Porn Lawyer has a “Confirmation Conversion” at the Senate Hearings: from LifeSiteNews.com, Chicago, Feb. 6, 2009.

Brian Burch, President of Fidelis, described Ogden’s performance before the Senate Judiciary Committee as “a textbook example of an ambitious nominee saying whatever he needs to say to get the votes for confirmation.”

WHEN PRESSED BY SENATORS ON HIS VIEWS DURING HIS CONFIRMATION HEARING, OGDEN COMPLETELY REVERSED HIS EXTREME VIEWS ON NUMEROUS SUBJECTS.
According to Ogden, despite a career of arguing the opposite, he now believes child pornography laws and internet filters are constitutional and extremely important. “Child pornography is abhorrent,” Ogden said, adding later, “Issues of children and families have always been of great importance to me.”

When asked about pro-pornography memos he wrote his former boss, Justice Blackmun, Ogden responded that he regretted the memos and maintained that his vigorous opposition to the Moral Majority and the regulation of pornography was due to immaturity. … According to Burch, “Ogden spent his entire life arguing for far left extremist position. And he expects us to believe he has matured and abandoned those views now that he is before the Senate?”
