Catholic Writers: Blindness, Bias, Cover-up?
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegonecom – Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009
Keep in mind the Catholic writers for “America”, “Commonweal”, and “National Catholic Reporter.” Now for Pope Benedict’s written truth for today:
“The concern of the doctor, like that of the priest, is for human life. more full, more secure, so that mankind can be freer and happier – in a word, that their life may be more truly “life.” Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Also, the US Bishops urgent message to Congress: ABORTION ISN’T HEALTH CARE. Lastly, “No one can be at the same time a sincere Catholic and a true Socialist.” Pius XI, Quad. Anno (1931)
Dear Reader,
IMAGINE that Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a Republican and is pushing the Health Care Legislation in today’s Congress. Now let’s find out for the above 3 Catholic magazine’s writers & editors something about this Catholic-label person.
Pelosi voted again the ban on partial-birth abortions at least eight times. She is opposed to the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. She voted against Parental Notification when minor children seek an abortion.
In 1998, she opposed a constitutional amendment to permit school prayer in the classroom, and in 1999, she opposed allowing state and local governments to display the Ten Commandments on public property, including schools.
She voted against the Catholic position on Stem Cell Research (110th), Marriage Amendment Act (109th), and Child interstate Abortion Notification Act (109th) and Abortion in military medical facilities (109th). Also, Pelosi voted against the Catholic position on Coercive abortion/United Nations Population Fund; Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act: passage (109th) and Human Cloning Ban: passage (108th)
AND IMAGINE THAT THE ABOVE IS THE MINDSET OF MOST CATHOLIC-LABEL REPUBLICANS POLITICIANS IN TODAY’S CONGRESS. I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT MAGAZINES A., C., AND N. WOULD HAVE LAMBASTED THESE SO-CALLED CATHOLIC POLITICIANS AND LITERALLY DRIVEN THEM OUT OF OFFICE. SO WHY HAVE THEY BEEN SILENT ABOUT TODAY’S MIS-GUIDED CATHOLIC-LABEL DEMOCRATIC POLITICIANS?
In reviewing The Commonweal, 85th anniversary issue – Nov. 6, 2009:
“Neuhaus wrote in criticizing America for publishing articles that discussed and debated the churches teachings on homosexuality, same-sex marriage, and embryonic stem-cell research, “that reader’s need ‘America’ in order to aware of alternative and opposing viewpoints.” P. 22
{The above is false Jesuit hogwash. I’m a graduate of a Jesuit College. Why not discuss also fornication, pornography and adultery for opposing viewpoints? There is definitely a blindness, a democratic bias and cover-up for these horrible Catholic-label politician voting for today’s health care system. Ghk}
The above Catholic publications have a liberal, progressive slant. The influence on the bishops who receive these publications IS tremendous. The MAGAZINES were on the side of those who were OK with President Obama at Notre Dame and receiving a law degree.
Catholic readers NEED a breadth of fresh. Try Catholic magazines, First Things, Catholic World Report, Homiletic & Pastoral Review & Inside the Vatican.
