In Praise of 19 Pro-Life Democrats

In Praise of 19 Pro-Life Democrats
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Monday, July 27, 2009

Prologue:
“It is impossible to act rightly without truth. That is why the will to know the truth, to seek it humbly and with a readiness to learn it, is the basic requisite of all morality. Where profit or success leads to the neglect of truth, the world is fragmented into interest groups because profit always depends on the viewpoint of the one acting.” Pope Benedict XVI, meditation – July 27, 2009

The above is the title of an article on the blog – “Catholics-in-Alliance for the Common Good.” 7-24-09. This blog persuaded Catholics to vote for Obama for President. I shall make a commentary on it. Here is how the article begins:

“19 Pro-life Democrats on the Hill signed a letter addressed to Speaker Pelosi indicating that they would only support comprehensive healthcare legislation that “explicitly excludes” federal funding of abortions…

Guttmacher Institute statistics suggest that providing such federal funding of abortions may increase the number of abortions in America by as much as one-third – an outcome that hardly reflects well on a new “pro-life friendly” Democratic Party that would prefer abortion to rare and the need for it to be reduced.”

“MANY CATHOLIC DEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE ARE NOTICEABLE ABSENT. CATHOLIC PROGRESSIVES COMMITTED TO COMMON GROUND AND PRAGMATIC PROGRESS ON LIFE ISSUES SHOULD BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF SUPPORT FOR THIS LETTER.”

Please reread the above three paragraphs. Note “noticeable absent,” Catholic progressives, and Common ground are terms which I will be using to inform and educate myself and others on what is going on within Catholic America. In fact, figuring out and explaining the Obama Healthcare will be missionary work and a lot of fun to do within the next 2 or 3 months.

Point One:

We have at least 13 Catholic label politicians from California in Congress. Not one of them is on the list of the 19 pro-life Democrats who wrote the above letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Catholic label politician.

Is it possible that we have fake Catholics who use the Catholic label to run for office? What is the responsibility of the California Catholic bishops to inform Catholics parishioners of this scandal?

I know the Baptists and Evangelical preachers would do it, if they had politicians using their label.

Point Two:

There is a silent war going on against Catholic hospitals, doctors and health care workers. In the Senate, we had 16 Catholic label politicians vote to take away the conscience clause from them. Again on this matter, the silence from Catholic leaders, bishops and laity is deafening.

George H. Kubeck – Please forward to the responsible persons.
