American Values for All Generations

ON COURAGE: cont’d
“There are no easy answers but they are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what is morally right.”
“{O} ur time is now. If we carry the day and turn the tide, we can hope that as long as men speak of freedom and those who have protected it, they will remember us, and they will say, ‘here were the brave and there their place of honor.’”

ON OPTIMISM:
“I … have been described as an undying optimist, always seeing a glass half-full when some see it half empty. And, yes, it’s true – I always see the sunny side of life.”
“My optimism comes not just from my strong faith in God, but my strong and enduring faith in man.”
“They expect you to tell your children that the American people no longer have the will to cope with their problems, that the future will be one of sacrifice and few opportunities. My fellow citizens, I utterly reject that view.”

ON FAITH:
“I’ve believed that each one of us, put here for a reason, that there is a … divine plan for all of us.”
“I have found a great hunger in America for a spiritual revival; for a belief that law must be based on a higher law, for a return to traditions and values that we once had…”
“The Founding Fathers believed that faith in God was the key to our being a good people and America’s becoming a great nation.”

ON HONESTY:
“Speech delivery counts for little on the world stage unless your have convictions, and, yes, the vision to see beyond the front row seats.”
“What I take from the past is inspiration for the future, and what we accomplished during our years at the White House must never be lost amid the rhetoric of political revisionists.”
“An actor knows two important things – to be honest in what he is doing and to be in touch with his audience. That’s not bad advice for a politician either.”

ON AMERICA’S SPIRIT:
“It’s time for us to realize that we are too great a nation to limit ourselves to small dreams.”
“Let us pledge to restore, in our time, the American spirit of voluntary service, of cooperation, of private and community initiative, a spirit that flows like a deep and mighty river through the history of our nation.”
“The American spirit is there, ready to blaze if you and I are willing to do what has to be done.”

ON AMERICA’S FUTURE:
“We are the showcase of the future. And it is within our power to mold that future – this year and for decades to come. It can be as grand and as great as we make it... No crisis is beyond the capacity of our people to solve; no challenge too great.”
“You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We can preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we can sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness….”

George H. Kubeck,
P.S. Thanks to liberal Catholic Democratic progressives like Kathleen Kennedy Townsend of the Kennedy Clan, many Catholics are confused about same-sex marriage. Maybe sharing “The Catechism of the Catholics Church” will help explain to pro-choice Catholics that fornication, adultery and pornography are also contrary to the 10 commandments.
