Remembering the War in Vietnam - 2

Remembering the War in Vietnam – 2

In support of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Tuesday, July 21, 2009

This is the second letter dedicated to our American citizens of Vietnamese heritage. We continue with the WorldNet Daily Exclusive: Thurs. July 16/09 Museum to welcome Vietnam revelations author – “Ride the Thunder” by Richard Botkin, Posted Jul 7, 2009.
“He (Botkin) documents how the Viet Cong, a band of communist guerrillas in South Vietnam, blended in with the civilian population and even posed as police officers. Known for their stealth and deception, they often poisoned wells and intimidated civilians into silence, forcing them to endure classes of communist propaganda and indoctrination.”

“Also, soldiers of the communist North Vietnamese Army, or NVA, routinely attacked thousands of helpless civilian refugees – including young women, elderly citizens and crying children – with intentional and indiscriminate artillery fire. In 1968, communists murdered between 3,000 and 6,000 innocent civilians and buried them in mass graves. Families endured pain, suffering, and indignities that many Americans might never imagine while communists released propaganda readily consumed by Western critics of the Vietnam War.”

{Now let’s go back 41 years ago and the news from Vietnam in America as reported in the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, October 22, 1967.
Hanoi Thanks Its U.S. Friends:
Tokyo, Oct. 21 (AP) – Premier Pham Van Dong (Communist) of North Vietnam has described American antiwar demonstrators as companion-in-arms.

“The Vietnamese people thank their friends in America and wish them great success in their mounting movement.” Dong said.

“The statement was broadcast from Hanoi on the eve of a Washington rally of groups calling for a quick peace. The official Vietnam News Agency quoted the premier as telling a visiting American group, headed by Thomas Hayden of Newark, N.J. there was solidarity between the Vietnamese and American peoples in “the common struggle against the aggression against Vietnam by the U.S. government.” … “The group said it was returning with a message from Premier Pham VanDong of greetings to the U.S. antiwar movement. They plan to release the contents Oct. 21 for the big Washington antiwar demonstrations.”}

“See WND’s exclusive video interview with “Ride the Thunder” author Richard Botkin. Botkin he writes about the propaganda that was issued by the communists – snapped up by Western media. Such media demonization of U.S. and South Vietnamese efforts played a role in turning the tide of American support for the war, he said.”

P.S. PLEASE NOTE CORRECTION OF THE LETTER – RICK WARREN AND POPE BENEDICT XVI, JULY 19TH, 2009:

“The interview you’re referring to was conducted in February 2004 by Jim Dailey, the Executive Editor for Decision magazine, a publication of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association. The information that has been circulating on the internet that Paul Bradshaw conducted this interview is incorrect. Here’s the link to the original article from Decision magazine Nov. 2004 issue and you’re free to quote from it giving the proper credit, http://www.billygraham.org/DMag article.asp?ArticleD=492

Thanks for your concern for Kay. Praise God, she has been in remission from breast cancer for quite some time now and continues to feel extremely well. Should the Lord lead, we would always appreciate your prayers for her continued good health and her ministry.”
God Bless,
