Letter to the CINO Politicians of America

Preface: The Catholic World Report Aug. /Sept. 09 has a Special Report titled,
“The Big Con” – “Misleading “Catholic” Organizations such as Catholics United and Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good operated as an arm for pro-abortion Democrats in 2008 and now enjoy an important role in the Obama administration.” In a future letter, I shall give a report on the above.

I commend the CINO politicians’ option for the poor and their sincere compassion for the downtrodden in the whole world. However, they have a blindness to Cardinal Bernardin’s Seamless Garment. It seems to me that the issues of abortion should be interwoven with anything else on that garment.

Cinops seek common ground among Catholics in pursuing the common good. You have been in the forefront of pursuing and passing positive legislation. You believe that Governor Mario Cuomo declaration on abortion justifies your position in the public arena. You are mistaken.

Where we differ is the sacrificing of fundamental social justice principles for prudential issues. You are all tied up with prudential issues. Catholics can differ on prudential solutions. But we cannot differ on the absolute evils of abortion, assisted-suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem-cell research and same-sex marriage. All of these are non-negotiable in the America we live in. We had no problems during the Bush administration. Why should we have problems today?

One of the main reasons is the elite who are in power today. They are screwed up politically. Why? Is it because the two -A’s, the two E’s, and the two S’s are part of their mindset? One cannot rewrite natural law via relativism. Beliefs have consequences. We do not want that kind of America. It is a NO to a socialist ABORTION MANDATED HEALTHCARE system. It is un-American!

Today, almost anybody can run for office and call themselves Catholic. They use the Catholic label to get elected. We can agree that a Catholic who runs for office and promotes directly and indirectly legislation for adultery, pornography and fornication is a fake Catholic. We have a problem with fake Catholics in government today. The news media protects them. Permit me to express something historically important to you.
(Our bishops need to speak out and listen to Cardinal Rigali and Archbishop Chaput.)

Let’s turn back to Germany in the early 1930’s. I have a message for the German Catholic Bishops. You have been intoxicated with what you hear and many German Catholic-in-name-only politicians have become drunk listening to these speeches. The Catholic laity of Germany was drowned out and ignored.

Well, the Catholic laity of America says NO to any liberal and progressive National Socialist program whether it is the Health care program or anything else.

Do you understand that? Americans are not dumb. Honest journalism has broken down. We must demonstrate in all areas of town with honest natural law education and messages until you are voted out of office.
