Ref. The Big Con- 6 Letters, and Cardinal Mahoney 1 and 2

I think it would be a good idea for Cardinal Roger Mahoney to listen to some of the voices crying out in the wilderness, particularly, if they speak the truth as this CINOPS BE GONE blog does: dedicated to the exposure and removal of Catholic-in-name-only politicians. There is also www.abortiontruths.net . On judgment day all things will be revealed.

There are two things that I would like the Cardinal to DECIDE: Firstly, the 16 Catholic label Senators who voted to remove the conscience clause for doctors and health care workers in the tentative healthcare legislation in Congress.

It seems that 15 of the Senators are Catholic label Democrats. It is my firm belief that HAD these Senators been Republicans, the staff at the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops would have issued some statement chastising these Senators. I AM WAITING FOR THAT CHASTISEMENT!

The time has come for USCCB to stop being in bed with the Democratic Party. The U.S. Catholic Church is not a front organization for any political party.
PLEASE CONTACT THE STAFF AT USCCB THAT THEY ISSUE A REPRIMAND FOR THESE CATHOLIC LABEL POLITICIANS TO CHANGE THEIR VOTE.

Secondly, there is a news story by Peter J. Smith, Washington, D.C., October 1, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – 183 Congressional representatives have signed a letter to House Nancy Pelosi demanding that Congress be allowed a free vote on bipartisan pro-life measures that would truly prohibit government funding of abortion in health care.

The House representatives warn that if they do not have their way, they will do everything in their power to make sure that H.R. 3200 “America’s Affordable Health Choices” does not even reach the House floor for a vote.

The letter, signed by 25 Democrats and 158 Republicans, requests Speaker Pelosi and Rep. Louise Slaughter, Chairwoman of the Rule Committee, that all House members have an opportunity to vote their consciences – without threat of ramifications from party leaders – on pro-life amendments offered by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mitch.) and Rep. Joe Pitts (R- Pa.)…

Now we have only 25 Democrats from the whole country and none from California. Please persuade the 13 Catholic Democratic Congresspersons from California like Linda and Loretta Sanchez to vote with the 25 pro-life Democrats. You don’t have to worry about the Catholic California Republicans, almost all of them are among the 158 Republicans.

“My field is immigration.” said Mahony. That’s great. I am an immigrant. We have millions of immigrants from Canada, Mexico and other countries. We love this country very much, particularly the Constitution, the Founding Fathers and American traditions of freedom and free enterprise to solve public issues. In another letter, I will talk about immigration and other matters.

George H. Kubeck
