The Tail

The Tail Wagging the Dog - Part 1
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com – Friday, January 14, 2011
We have these phenomena within the Catholic Church. May I share with you two examples? This is a most serious matter which needs to be resolved.
A. The following mindset of the CINOP [Catholic-in-name-only politician] while occurring in Australia is common in our nation. “Australian Premier berates cardinal for comments on Christian politicians” – Sydney, January 10, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com)
New South Wales Premier Kristina Keneally has strongly berated Cardinal George, saying she is greatly “saddened” by his recent comments criticizing Christian politicians who disregard Church teaching. She said she believes Pell risks being “interpreted as condemnatory and threatening. [This comment by any CINOP is hogwash.]
Kealey who bills herself as a devout Catholic opposes Church teaching on homosexuality and abortion. [You are a hypocrite and fraud running as a Catholic for office.]
In an interview with the Herald Sun earlier this month, Cardinal Pell had criticized politicians who “fly under the Christian or Captain Catholic flag” but “blithely disregard Christian perspectives” when facing a vote on moral issues in parliament.
“I read those comments from the Archbishop and, if anything, they saddened me.” Keneally told the Sunday Telegraph. [Well isn’t that too bad.] “Almost every Catholic politician takes their responsibility and their faith seriously,” said the Premier. “Many have struggled, as have I, when moral issues require us to vote – and particularly when it is a conscience. [This twisted conscience alibi by the CINOP drives me up the wall. We have the “Catechism of the Catholic Church.” If you can’t abide by it stop being a phony. I wonder if a civil suit for fraud can be made against any CINOP.]
On issues of same-sex “marriage” and adoption, as well as abortion issues Keneally has consistently voiced views contrary to Catholic teaching.
B. Catholic Marquette University Law School has hired former Senator Feingold as a visiting professor for the spring semester. He has a 100% pro-choice voting record as analyzed by NARAL Pro-Choice America, and supported taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research. He is for the gay rights agenda, against the Defense of Marriage Act, and in 2006 changing the definition of marriage.
Now the Cardinal Newman Society pointed to Pope John Paul II’s statement in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, “All teachers … at the time of their appointment are to be informed of the Catholic identity of the institution and its implications, and their responsibility to promote, or least to respect that identity.” Joseph D. Kearney, Dean and Professor thinks otherwise. Joseph.kearney@Marquette.edu
George H. Kubeck, I think the Dog can live without the tail.
