Pro-Life and Social Justice Advocates - 1

Pro-Life and Social Justice Advocates – 1
In pursuit of the truth – cinops be gone – The Ascension – Sunday, May 24, 2009

Prologue:

From a sermon by St. Augustine, bishop – Today our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven; let our hearts ascend with him.

From the letter of the apostle Paul to the Ephesians: 4: 1-24 – I plead with you, as a prisoner for the Lord, to live a life worthy of the calling you have received, with perfect humility, meekness, and patience, … Make every effort to preserve the unity which has the Sprit as its origin and peace as its binding force.
… You must put on a new man created in God’s image, whose justice and holiness are born of truth.

The Focus: Pro-life and social justice advocates, how can we bring you together when it comes to voting? You have both very strong positions for your vote. This is the first in a series of letters of information and persuasion. (Let us celebrate tomorrow Memorial Day; Flag Day which on June 14th, and July 4th and 5th with special remembrances and prayers.)

Let us call to mind the great victory that occurred this month May 7-10th when the new Gallup Poll proclaimed us a pro-life nation. Thank you Americans! You telephoned Congress and the President. You also talked to your neighbors and sent millions of FOCA postcards to Washington and the red envelope letters.

The vote was 51% pro-life America; versus 42% pro-choice America. With God’s help and grace we changed last year’s poll of 50% pro-choice and only 44% pro-life. THIS IS A GREAT VICTORY! President Barack Obama is on the wrong side of American history for he is pro-choice. Sadly, all of the President’s appointees are Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and ACLU advocates of pro-choice.

Thank you President Obama, for directly and indirectly by your words and deeds, you EDUCATED so many Americans to become pro-life. Your presidency is an LESSON for all Americans. You will help us return to America’s foundational principles of life, family and marriage. We love our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and the Beliefs of our Founding Fathers.

America will hold steadfast to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
President Obama’s version of “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity” is foreign to us. That is all about France and Europe. We don’t ever want to be Europeans. We are Americans. We recognize our President as an elitist, professorial and legal type.

Nevertheless, I must congratulate the President on the talk he gave at Notre Dame. It was a masterpiece of persuasion and propaganda for his secular agenda. It gave a cover, a rationalization, not only for Catholic-in-name-only politicians and professors but also a raison d’etre for all to vote again for Obama in 2012. It must be challenged from a traditional American and Christian perspective with truth.

Others have already dialogued on this talk. I will try to do it. Transcript of this speech via - http://www.latimes.com /news/nation/chi-barack-obama-notre-dame-speech, O…
