Wake Up Notre Dame!

Wake Up Notre Dame!
In pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.org – Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Greetings and salutations! Yesterday, I received the following e-mail:

RESULTS OF THE DAME AND THE VATICAN … VS…. GMKUBECK AND CARDINAL NEWMAN SOCIETY GRADUATION CEREMONIES: WINNERS AND LOSERS
NOTRE DAME AND THE VATICAN – 100% CREDIBILITY … WINNERS
GMKUBECK AND REILLY AND ARROYO = 0% CREDIBILITY = LOSERS

The above e-mail was sent to me by a Jesuit priest. He may have forgotten that his Order was founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Also, they swear an oath loyalty to the Pope. Once a student of St. Ignatius; always a student! For me, as a graduate of a Jesuit College, and a lay member of the Dominican Laity, both St. Ignatius and St. Dominic were lovers and seekers of the whole truth – Veritas. Let us both pursue the truth unrelentlessly.

I believe there is something wrong with the above e-mail, particularly the 100% credibility opinion. I think the penance St. Ignatius would assign to the above Jesuit priest and anyone who thinks like him would be; the required reading all of the 650+ letters on the blog – CINOPS BE GONE; WHICH IS DEDICATED TO THE EXPOSURE AND REMOVAL OF CATHOLIC-IN-NAME-0NLY POLITICIANS. ST. THOMAS MORE IS OUR MODEL AND PATRON.

HOWEVER, THIS COULD BE TOO MUCH PUNISHMENT. I BELIEVE that with the prayers of our readers; this wise priest will learn, change his mind and even promote this blog. You can’t go wrong with Notre Dame’s Motto: God, Country and Notre Dame. The problem was President Father John Jenkins’ invitation to President Barack Obama to be the commencement speaker. It was a judgment call. Nevertheless, we can change a negative into many positive results.

It was this focus on the life issues and that of President Obama that made possible the results of the Gallup Poll of May 7-10th. Hallelujah! WE ARE A PRO-LIFE NATION. It’s 51% to 42% vs. LAST YEAR 50% PRO-CHOICE VS. 44% PRO-LIFE.

I liked Father Jenkins introduction, “appeal to faith and reason,” “reason, responsible, respectful dialogue,” “seek the common good” “honor all people of good will,” “dialogue with all,” “his appeal transcends race,” his goal of a world without nuclear weapons,” etc. There is at least one sentence that Father Jenkins should not have said and it is definitely not true. HE HAS BEEN A HEALER.

The President gave a good talk. But actions speak louder than words. “Let’s draft a sensible conscience clause.” That sounds OK. Obama acknowledged that “no matter how much we want to fudge it (abortion) … that fact is that at some level, the views of the two camps are irreconcilable.” Thank you! In 2010, it is an absolute No vote for any in Congress who support Obama’s position.

By the way, the Top Vatican Prelate Archbishop Raymond Burke delivered a powerful address on Life and Family at the Prayer Breakfast. Our friendly Jesuit priest must have missed reading that presentation. The Archbishop is also for a No Vote for Catholic-in-name-only politicians. Those of us who have been in the trenches at the abortion mills say THANKS BE TO GOD! In closing there was one shameful chant at the commencement address. One of three yelled out, “STOP KILLING OUR CHILDREN.” The campaign response: YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!
