The Catholic Vote in the Past - 1

The Catholic Vote in the Past - 1
Wednesday, January 9, 2007
From Catholic Answers let us take a look. The Catholics make up 26% of the electorate. There is a higher proportion of Catholics than Protestants who turn out to vote. Catholics are more likely to vote for “liberal” candidates: In 1992, 44% voted for Bill Clinton, while only 34% of Protestants did so. In 1996, 53% of Catholics voted for Clinton while only 35% of Protestants did so.

In 2000, over 50% of Catholics voted for Al Gore. However, in 2004 52% of Catholics voted for the pro-life presidential Candidate George W. Bush. There is progress on the pro-life presidential candidates. However, let us continue with the year 2004.

Two-thirds of American Catholics support keeping abortion legal. -- 66%
More than half of them support euthanasia or assisted suicide. – 56%
34% support fetal stem cell research. 47% support homosexual “marriage.”
Tellingly, 55% of American Catholics do not attend Mass regularly.

You can understand that the CINOP is the role model for the second largest religious group in America, the generic and non-grounded Catholics. It is the main reason why Catholics need to vote out of office these unscrupulous religious political heretics. We start in 2008.

And the Catholic population is concentrated in states (such as California, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts) that have a high number of Electoral College votes. These figures are from the Gallup Organization, and they show that Catholics can make or break an election.

Let us see what else happened in 2004. The Catholic Vote in California – 2004. (L.A. Times, B-7, Thurs. Nov. 4, 2004) These results will make you weep.

Catholics voted for Embryonic Stem Research – 61% Protestants – 47%

Catholics voted for Kerry – 59% Protestants – 40%

Catholics voted for Bush -- 41 % Protestants – 59%

Catholic vote for Senator Boxer – 64% Protestants – 43%

Catholic vote for potential Senator Jones – 32% Protestants – 53%

At this point may I ask the most perplexing question of all? Why are Protestant voters so much smarter on pro-life issues than Catholic voters?

When all is said and done, it is matter of being grounded in one’s Catholic Faith. This is something I do not understand about the CINOP. He may be grounded in politics but stupid and destructive to his own Faith and the Faith of his Fathers, and in particular, to that of the Latino Community as an example.
