The Catholic Vote in the Past - 2

The Catholic Vote in the Past – 2
Friday, Jan. 11, 2008
1.) Let’s check the results of the California election for Governor and Senator in November, 1998. (L.A. Times, Portrait of the Electorate, Nov. 5/98)
Catholic vote for pro-abort CINOP Davis 58% - Pro-life Catholic Lungren – 38%
Non-Catholic Christian vote for Davis 47% - Pro-life Catholic Lungren - 51%
Catholic vote – Senator Barbara Boxer 54%- Republican Fong --------- 42%
Non-Catholic Christian for Bar. Boxer 41%- Republican Fong ---------- 56%

2.) Let’s go ahead to the Presidential Election of 2000:
The following is a letter that was published in The Tidings L.A., on Jan. 12, 2001.
Titled: Presidential elections results speak loudly:
The presidential vote for Governor George W. Bush was a miracle experience for the traditional family values and the pro-life movement, thanks to the Protestant vote: Bush 58 percent, Gore 40 percent and Nader 2 percent. On the other hand, the Catholic vote was Bush 46 percent, Gore 53 percent, and Nader 1 %
Note the difference between the two religious blocs. It seems that the Protestants read Pope John Paul’s Encyclicals, “The Splendor of Truth” and “The Gospel of Life.” The so-called Catholics did not. Catholic religious beliefs were either ignored or misunderstood.
This is an outrage, scandal and shame on many of the Catholic hierarchy and church rectories throughout the country. Moral blindness is no excuse. It is at times, deliberate & political. The role of the Catholic laity is to be informed & get involved.
George H. Kubeck, Stanton

3.) Here is another letter dated Jan. 29, 2001: Dear Senators Biden, Daschle, Dodd, Harkin, Kennedy, J.Kerry, Landrieu, Leahy, Mikulski and Murray.
It is mind-boggling to me to find out that the Catholic vote in America almost elected Al Gore president. Let’s find out why?
Do you remember the song, “Shop the Union Label”? That melody is truthful, appropriate and effective. How about the Catholic label attached to pro-abortion politicians. That is a lie, a scandal, and slander to the Catholic Faith.
You are one of those. The next time you run for office, please run as a Catholic Dissenter, so voter know who you are. You are the sophisticated puppets of secular and atheistic humanists. The Senate hearings on Senator John Ashcroft was an education for all Americans.
George H. Kubeck
P.S. All of the above, except for Senator Dodd, voted against Senator John Ashcroft for Attorney General. ) Monday, Feb. 5, 200l
P.P.S. Historically, Catholics have been duped left and right by the Socialist and Communists, Fascist and Nazis in Europe with their so-called Social, Health, and Welfare Programs for the Poor. Blinded by Modern Liberalism, the Catholic Dissenter Senators along with Congressmen like Loretta Sanchez, and Governor Davis become Quislings for the Culture of Death and Trojan Horses within the Catholic Faith Community.
George H. Kubeck, Duplicate and translate into Spanish.
