Preface: Tea Party Patriots 405/605 were honored to have Star Parker at their meeting on Wed. June 9th at St. Isidore’s Hall in Los Alamitos, Ca. at 7 P.M. I attended and took some notes and from her literature.

Star Parker stands for traditional values: Limited Government: Free Markets: Strong National Defense: She is a Republican running in California’s 37th Congressional District, which encompasses Long Beach, Signal Hill, Carson, Compton, and parts of Los Angeles

Star is an author and a syndicated columnist for Scripps Howard News Service, offering weekly opeds to more than 400 newspapers worldwide, including the Boston Herald, The Dallas Morning News, The Orange County Register, San Diego Union, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, and the Washington Examiner. She has written two books on urban policies and one book about her life.

I (Star Parker) received 8, 413 votes. Only 28% of the Republicans voted. I want to meet those voters. I want to meet the other 39,000 who did not vote this past Tuesday. Limited Government: I have already lived the life of the Left. It comes to dictating – tells us what to do. {Read all about it in her book “Uncle Sam’s Plantation”} - Capitalism for the rich and socialism for the poor. What welfare will do to a person’s life?

After my Christian conversion I got a college degree. Choice loses its meaning when we don’t understand what is going to happen to you. Has an office in Bixby Knolls – doing a radio show – was involved in the Welfare Reform in 1996. Consulted on the bill: I lived the life of welfare. Involved in “The Center for Urban Renewal” –

Remove government barriers from people’s lives. We can do better for them. They can start the first step. Help people address poverty. Freedom and responsibility is the answer.

2006 – Congress in charge by Nancy Pelosi. 2008 – Something critical has gone wrong in the country. We must demand a high quality of legislation. Have been to over 200 colleges as a speaker. “I was on the path of self-destruction.” General MacArthur, “We are not retreating. We advance in another direction.” …

Get angry enough to protect the interests of the people. Social engineering began in the 1960’s… In 1960, 78% of the black fathers were with the family. Today we have 7 out of 10 born without marriage… We are addicted to the government with the health care bill. In education we are teaching secular humanism. Personal lives are falling apart. Commitment is not important. Somebody is going to clean up the mess… “Have got that call.” Got endorsement from many – Boone and Hannity –

Learn how to take our nation back. {Attend Tea Party Meetings! ghk} We need to become educated concerning finances. It’s not yours to give. “REDISTRIBUTION” Cap and trade passed with AB 32 – We are dumping money into a bureaucracy to figure out what to do. The idea out of Washington has never worked for you. We need a strong national defense. People need to be afraid of America. Right now they are not. I support my second amendment rights. Government has a role to protect our interests and not to plunder us. Believe in economic enterprise zones. Once you have destroyed family, the minority believe the lies of the left: sold the idea of minority and special interests. The left are the masters of the Poverty Plantation and are their Overseers…
