9 Months, and 8 Days

9 Months and 8 Days
The Holy Name of Mary, Sept. 12, 2007

It was the most uplifting and exciting time in history. This has been on my mind for several months and I don’t want it to go away. It was walking and being with Mary who was carrying the baby Jesus in her womb.
It would make a beautiful sermon, book or even movie by any priest or minister.

“O Virgin Mary, how great your cause for joy,
God found you worthy to bear Christ our Savior.”

When you meditate on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary you start with the Mystery of the Annunciation. “As Mary accepted with faith her unexpected pregnancy and trusted God to work things out.” Would it not be the most beautiful time on earth to live at that time and be a carpenter’s apprentice to St. Joseph and escort Mary to the Visitation, the second Mystery of the Rosary?

“As Mary and Elizabeth ministered to each other and shared their joy together, may we serve pregnant mothers who are in need?”

And then Christ came at Bethlehem in the form of a baby at the Nativity. May God come to each woman who conceives a child? And we celebrate Christmas, the happiest time of the year.

And shortly thereafter, the Mystery of the Presentation: “Mary and Joseph presented the child Jesus in the temple in accordance with the prescriptions of Jewish law.”

“May we never fail to observe the moral prescriptions of our Church in our lives?”
