New Tensions between Bishops, White House

New Tensions between Bishops, White House

Relentless pursuit of the truth – www.cinopsbegone.com –Memorial of Blessed John Paul II, Saturday, October 22, 2011

Preface: The tensions are really between “The Catechism of the Catholic Church” and the “White House.” I like Russell Shaw’s article on page 5 of the “Our Sunday Visitor” of October 23, 2011. Right beside that article is the new introductory note to “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship.” In early October, with an eye toward the 2012 elections, the U.S. bishops re-released this document.

If anyone from the ABO (Anybody but Obama) Republican presidential candidates can deliver this page 5 to each Catholic family in the nation, Obama’s Catholic vote in 2008 of 53% will plummet to 43% in /12. The CINOP (Catholic-in-name-only politician) promotes abortion & same-sex marriage.

Today is the Memorial of Blessed John Paul II. He is an apostle for life. Sadly, many Catholic politicians have put him out of their minds. However, there is hope that the nation next year will open the door to Christ. Be not afraid to vote for change that will restore our nation’s well-being not only economically but also spiritually.

The Obama presidency has a radical secularist agenda. It is supported by about 60 CINO (Catholic-in-name-only) politicians* in Congress and 12 in the Senate. They must also be voted out of office. Then we will have this cancer, scandal, shame and albatross around our necks removed.

•The Obama regime claims that support for DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) was “rooted in prejudice and bias.” Archb. Dolan in his letter to the President stated “The administration’s failure to change course on this matter [DOMA] will … precipitate a national conflict between Church and State of enormous proportions to the detriment of both institutitions.”

•The president and his people* consider gays as part of their base constituency while more or less dismissing the Catholic bishops as a threat to his reelection.

•Cardinal Francis George of Chicago calls Obama a secularist. A mindset firmly set in this mold. “Never before have we faced this kind of challenge to our ability to engage in the public square as people of faith and as a service provider…. If we do not act now the consequences will be grave.”…

On the matter of forming consciences for faithful citizenship voting; here are the first 3 of 6.

1.Continuing destruction of unborn children through abortion and other threats to the lives and dignity of others who are vulnerable, sick or unwanted.

2.Renewed efforts to force Catholic ministries - health care, education, and social services – to violate their consciences or stop serving those in need.

3.Intensifying efforts to redefine marriage and enact measures which undermine marriage as the permanent, faithful and fruitful union of one man and one woman and a fundamental moral and social institution essential to the common good…
