Sunday, Oct. 5th, Liturgy of the Hours, p. 343-4, The word of reproach is a key that unlocks a door, because reproach reveals a fault of which the evildoer is himself often unaware. That is why Paul says of the bishop: He must be able to encourage men in sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For the same reason God tells us through Malachi: The lips of the priest are to preserve knowledge, and men shall look to him for the law, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. Finally that is also the reason why the Lord warns us through Isaiah: Cry out and be not still; raise your voice in a trumpet call.

The whole idea of rewriting the definition of marriage is diabolical. Marriage is between a man and a woman. It is the foundation of any society. It is one of the five evils, I have written about in more than 470 letters. The other absolute evils are abortion, assisted-suicide, euthanasia and embryonic stem cell research.

There is something about a politician’s promotion of the above that screws up his mind politically. I am thinking of the Catholic label politician who is with a political party that promotes the above. It is not about the truth but twisted feelings and reasoning. LET’S STOP PRETENDING THAT A CINOP IS A CATHOLIC. We have been perfuming Catholic-in-name-only politicians long enough. The line must be drawn on the Marriage Issue.

Historically, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Think of the
Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, Jan. 23, 1973 on abortion. Had we prevented and fought it in Congress with new laws, we would have stopped the 50 million pounds of human blood sacrificed to the devil Satan?

The same can be said for proposition 8, the Marriage Amendment on the California ballot. It is in serious danger of not passing. If same-sex marriage becomes the law in California, it is not America anymore. It legalizes secular values that are anti-Christian and are not in the writings of our Founding Fathers.
Here is the problem. Same-sex marriage laws were passed by duped Catholic-in-name-only politicians in Canada and in Massachusetts where CINOPS Senators Kennedy and Kerry were silent on the matter of marriage.

Catholic bishops need to speak out and call upon all Catholic label politicians no matter what party to declare themselves publicly that they are for the marriage amendment. For example, in California the Democratic Party is for same-sex marriage. Their literature to the Democratic registered voters will say no to Proposition 8. Catholic registered Democrats will be influenced by this. People will begin voting by absentee ballots this coming week. PLEASE CRY OUT!
