The Case against "Catholics United" # 2

The Case against “Catholics United” # 2

Justice is Truth in action!
We continue with this morning’s article by Amy Sullivan, How Catholics Are Judging Obama and the Democrats. p. 3

Obama has also benefited from the resurgence of progressive Catholics. The Catholic Left used to be a vigorous social and political presence… But by the time Kerry ran in 2004, there were very few Catholic voices echoing his insistence that Church teaching addressed more than just abortion or pushing back against suggestions that he and other pro-choice Catholics should be denied communion.

This void, and Kerry’s defeat, prompted a group of progressive Catholics to create their own infrastructure after 2004. When two young graduate students first launched Catholics United, they had $1,000 in seed money and were operating out of a dorm room. Four years later, the nonpartisan organization has more than 30,000 members and a $200,000 budget. This month they are sending a direct mail piece titled “What Does Being Pro-Life Really Mean?” to 50,000 Catholic households in Pennsylvania and Ohio. (promoting pro-choice candidates) The same message is plastered across billboards in heavily Catholic swing states. p. 3
+++++++

(Now, let’s take the vote of 9 pro-choice Catholic Democrat politicians, Altmire, Brady, Carney, Doyle, Holden, Kanjorski, Murphy Patrick, Murtha, and Sestak. They voted against the Catholic position on 1. Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act-passage (110th) House of Representatives Voting Record. The two Catholic- label Republican politicians English, and Murphy Timothy voted for the Catholic position. The 9 Democrats have now added another absolute evil to their names.

This kind of stem-cell research is one of the five absolute evils that are involved in this election campaign. The others are abortion, assisted-suicide, and euthanasia and same-sex marriage. And in your campaign advertisement “What Does Being Pro-Life Mean? you are mixing poisoned apples with oranges. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING! The oranges are prudential issues upon which serious Catholics and other Christians can disagree upon like, immigration reform, opposing the use of torture, focus more on the poor, education, health care and the war in Iraq. On the other hand, there is ALWAYS A NO on poisoned apples.

THE TRUTH IS THAT THE POISONED APPLES ARE DIRECTLY & INDIRECTLY PART AND PARCEL OF THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY AGENDA.

THE PRUDENTIAL ENDS ARE GREAT BUT THEY DO NOT JUSTIFY MIXING POISONED APPLES WITH ORANGES MEANS TO ACHIEVE THEM.
All of this is not fair and dishonest in “Catholics United” advertising campaign.

The Catholic goal in America is to vote out of office all of these pro-choice, CATHOLIC-IN-NAME-ONLY (CINOP) politicians. Let’s stop pretending that they are truly authentic and Catholic. Marriage is a life and death issue in this election. THE MARRIAGE AMENDMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE BALLOT IN MASSACHUSETTS. YET PRO-CHOICE NANCY PELOSI CAME INTO TOWN AND BLOCKED IT. IT WOULD HURT THE DEMOCRATIC PESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE. SENATORS TED KENNEDY AND JOHN KERRY WERE SILENT.)
