Tuesday, October 9, 2012 - 46th Congressional Candidate Jerry Hayden Calls on Incumbent Loretta Sanchez to Debate

(Santa Ana, CA) - Today, 46th Congressional candidate and Republican nominee Jerry Hayden called on 16-year incumbent Loretta Sanchez to leave Washington and participate in a debate within her district; a location she hasn’t visited in a while.

Now more than ever, it is vital that our incumbent politicians explain why they deserve remain in office. A public debate would offer the voters of the newly formed 46th Congressional District a chance to hear from both candidates on some of the most important issues facing Americans today including jobs, the economy, spending, public safety, immigration and education…

SHOT: Loretta Sanchez has increased our national debt by 11 trillion dollars while in office resulting in $50,000 of personal debt for every American. In addition, while Loretta has been in Congress, the number of children who have dropped out of High School within her District has doubled, and in some areas tripled.

CHASER: Loretta Sanchez continues to vacation on the public dime, while voting for one of the largest tax increases in history on small business. She continues to live in Washington D.C. and fails to even appear at her own events. It’s time Loretta explains her actions in front of the people who elected her.

“I’m ready for a debate”, said 46th Congressional candidate and GOP conservative Jerry Hayden. “Loretta has a lot to explain. Her lack of leadership with respect to immigration policy, her absence within her district, and her utter disregard for the people of California illustrate her complacency. I have a plan for this country that will steer us in the right direction, and I challenge my opponent to a debate.”

For over 20 years, Jerry Hayden has directed successful financial and investment strategies for Orange County families and business. Jerry has also given his time to the community, including serving 8 years a the volunteer freshman football coach at Foothill High School. Jerry also served on the Board of Directors for School Power, where he helped raise tens of thousand of dollars to fund public school teachers’ extra budgetary classroom needs.

The youngest of 11 children, Jerry Hayden grew up in Garden Grove and in the Santa/Tustin area, where the family bought a home on a lemon orchard. His father was a doctor and Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jerry Hayden completed his Bachelors’ Degree in Business Finance from San Diego State University. Jerry, his wife Helen and their daughters Lauren and Katie enjoy the California outdoor in their free time and celebrate Jerry and Helen’s wedding anniversary every 4th of July.
